• Annemieke (9/5): Heerlijke dagen in de sfeer van ‘kleine huis op de prairie’ - Fantastische plek, terug in de tijd. Sfeer, rust en ruimte. Heerlijk op het water gepeddeld. Goede formule voor ontbijt en diner, wel standaard eten uit een kartonnen bak.
• Stefan (9/5): Toller Stop auf der Rundreise zur Besichtigung der Wasserfälle - Die Lage inmitten der Natur ist hervorragend. Wer Ruhe mag. Ist hier richtig. Es kann ein Abendessen vorbestellt werden (Empfehlenswert ist der Lachs), sodass man nicht mehr diel lange Strecke in die Stadt fahren muss. Man sollte zwei bis drei Nächte bleiben, damit man tagsüber viel Zeit für die vielen Wasserfälle und ggf. im September die springenden Lachse.

• Gail (10/5): Wonderful location and a highlight of our trip! - The location was idyllic up in the mountains, so quiet! We loved the little log cabins and we stayed in the original owner's cabin which was 100 years old. Everything was clean. The family were super friendly and we felt right at home. The food was home cooked and was bought to our cabin for us to enjoy on the veranda. We loved the lake and watching the wild life. It was one of the highlights of our trip! We would have enjoyed a larger bed but this is just us, nothing to do with the property.

• Anton (8/5): Kleinschalige familieranch in de natuur met eigen meertje - Een fijne locatie voor wie in de natuur wil zijn. Een klein meertje, waar je kan zwemmen of kanovaren, plaats voor een kampvuurtje. Een kleinschalige ranch die met zorg en toewijding gerund wordt door een kleine familie. En oma kookt voortreffelijk! De huisjes zelf zijn basic, maar netjes. Het zou handig zijn moest er ergens plaats zijn om je eigen potje te koken of iets af te wassen. De buitenkeuken wat uitbreiden zou het buitenleven helemaal af maken!

• Alessandra (10/5): Dormire in mezzo alla natura in un posto da favola! - Il ranch è meraviglioso, sei completamente in mezzo alla natura, a circa 20 minuti dal paese, ma è proprio quello che lo rende speciale. La nostra cabin era bellissima, curata nei minimi dettagli con il patio per potersi rilassare nel silenzio. La colazione è compresa e servita in camera, c'è anche la possibilità di cenare. Abbiamo anche cenato e il cibo era cucinato con amore con le verdure deliziose del loro orto. Accoglienza splendida dei proprietari e super disponibili. Lo consiglio per un'esperienza di relax dopo la visita al meraviglioso Wells Grey Park.

• Elitsa (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - This was our best "hotel" during our 3 -week Canada trip. The location is idyllic, calm, far from the crowds. The cabins are very nice and comfortable with beautiful decorations. The hosts are super kind and cater for all needs. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and they even made a fire, so my son could enjoy it. We also used tha canoe on the lake behind the property - my child really enjoyed it! Everything was perfect.

Beautiful location, wonderful cabins (although the floors and doors were a bit squeaky), super cozy atmosphere. It's clear the family loves what they do, we loved the breakfast and dinner (served on our porch directly) and really enjoyed talking to Tarn about wildlife, the farm animals and edible plants on the included tour in the morning. Off grid location, but then we were already in Wells Gray to explore, which was great. We were two couples, and one room was clearly for kids with two single beds, but other than that it was all good.

• Mike (9/5): Tolle Ranch - Wenn man einen Aufenthalt in einer abgelegenen Unterkunft sucht ist diese Ranch auf jedenfall weiter zu empfehlen. Sehr freundliches Familienunternehmen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen (wenn man das will) wird einem zum „Chalet“ gebracht. Das Gemüse kommt aus dem eigenen Garten der Familie.

• Stephan (10/5): Wundervolle Tage in herrlicher Natur - Es waren zwei wundervolle Tag in einem liebevoll eingerichteten Blockhaus inmitten der Natur in der Nähe des Wells Gray PP. Wir konnten u.a. einen Bären auf Futtersuche erleben und jede Menge Kolibries beobachten. Sehr nette, liebevolle und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück wird morgens in das Cabin geliefert, ist reichhaltig und gut. Abends kann man auf Bestellung ebenfalls sehr gut essen. Es gibt auf der Ranch auch einen See in dem man baden und paddeln kann. Leider hatten wir nur zwei Tage.

• andrew (10/5): Perfect woodland stay - An amazing stay, we only stopped a couple nights, but it could have been more! Great suggestions for walking routes with amazing views! Great home cooked breakfasts and dinners! We topped it off with a farm tour just before we left, feeding the cows and goats and seeing the ducks and chickens! Couldn't recommend enough!
• Andreas (10/5): - Sehr tolle Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und der Bungalow deutlich geräumiger, als man es auf den ersten Blick vermuten mag. Lediglich das Badezimmer ist sehr eng und die Dusche nicht für breitere Personen geeignet, aber das hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört. War wirklich sehr schön, würden wir sofort wieder buchen und können es nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der dort in der Nähe ist.
• Maximilian (10/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Wells Gray Park und bietet einem die perfekte Ausgangslage den Park zu erkunden. Die kleinen Hütten sind unglaublich liebevoll eingerichtet und geben einem das Gefühl von zu Hause. Zudem ist die Familie, welche die Ranch betreibt wahnsinnig freundlich und aufmerksam. Hinter der Ranch befindet sich ein kleiner See in dem man gut baden kann und zudem kostenfrei die Kajaks und Kanus der Familie mitbenutzen darf. Wir waren drei Wochen in Kanada und das war auf unserem Road-Trip mit Abstand die schönste und beste Unterkunft. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

• ian (10/5): Wonderful Wolfwood. - Our cabin called Fir. It was perfectly proportioned and styled beautifully and imaginatively by the owners fitting in with the ranch setting. Being able to sit on the porch and witness hummingbird action at close quarters was amazing. The food offered was tasty and homely all freshly prepared and good value. The family owners make this a special experience. Being a very rural setting be prepared for flying insect activity but to be expected.

Het verblijf is in het Wells grey provincial park en in de directe omgeving vind je watervallen en lange en korte hikes. Wij zagen nog een jonge beer langs de weg. We werden fantastisch bediend en hebben genoten. Alles was prima, zeker voor deze prijs.

The lodge was great, especially because of all the details and the services that were provided. The meals were really good. Best place if you want to be remote and enjoy the nature. We can't think of anything that needed improvement.

The place is very quiet and peaceful. The hummingbirds in the evenings and the bear outside the window in the morning is something we will never forget! The homemade breakfasts and dinners brought by the hosts themselves were delicious. We will often think back to Ruby, Lady and Luna, your smart and cute dogs. We could spot 2 bears in a span of 8 hours so it’s a wildlife paradise. Joanne and her family are fabulous hosts and they make you feel at home with warm welcome, morning farm tour and delicious food they make. Cabins are out of this world, it’s perfectly crafted and furnished with old British style.

• Trail41625257982 (10/5): Home away from home at this hidden gem. - I've found my new 'happy place'. This last summer we spent a week at the Woolfwood Guest Ranch with family, and all I can say is wow. What a much needed soul restoring getaway. The setting is exceptional. It has to be experienced. From cozy nights around the firepit, to watching the mist roll over the lake at sunrise, this truly is a magical place. We stayed in Alder lodge, and it was just how I imagined. The mix of old embracing new, made this old settlers lodge both a unique AND comfortable stay. The decor was so well done. Every where we looked there was something new to discover. The kids loved it. Our favorite part was the lake a short walk from our cabin. After a hot day exploring the local waterfalls and hiking, coming 'home' for a refreshing dip was exactly the medicine our tired muscles needed. The food was delicious, with something for everyone. We got quite used to having breakfast delivered to our door each day, and sure missed that when we came home! Dinner was also delicious. The salmon melted in your mouth. The hosts are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Their children were polite and loved to share what they knew about their land and their life. We loved getting to interact with their friendly pets as well. You really do end up feeling part of the family. Clearwater is such a gorgeous place to explore. Within a short drive of the ranch are world class waterfalls, excellent lakes for fishing and kayaking. We will definitely be returning to spend more time at the Wolfwood Guest Ranch as soon as we can! Lovely owners, great service both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Great for exploring Wells Gray Park, we wish we had booked 2 nights but I had our whole trip planned and could not change it. I would 100% recommend Wolf wood for getting away from it all.

Die Anlage (insgesamt 4 Blockhäuser für Gäste, ein kleiner See mit Kanus und Feuerstelle) ist sehr gepflegt ... Unser Blockhaus war liebevoll eingerichtet und sowohl das (nicht sehr preiswerte, aber vorzügliche) Abendessen wie auch das, im Übernachtungspreis enthaltene, sehr gute Frühstück wurden in die Cabin gebracht ... dass wir nur eine Nacht waren ...

• Karen (10/5): Home from home- we loved it. - The setting was exceptional; the lodge (Alder) was just how I had imagined an old settlers lodge to be with modern amenities of course. The decor was so fitting and well done. The lake was beautifully clear and great for a swim on a hot day; breakfast choice was very good, well cooked and delivered to your door; Dinner choice was also very good and the salmon melted in your mouth. The hosts were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, their children polite, inquisitive and loved to share what they knew about the land and their life and the 3 dogs and 2 cats made themselves at home. Our stay was delightful and I wished we could have stayed longer - so peaceful and relaxing. Absolutely nothing.

• LondonMumof2 (10/5): A wonderful place to stay near Clearwater - whole family loved it! - A lovely family run guest ranch where we enjoyed a few days near Clearwater. We can't recommend this place highly enough for somewhere to enjoy the beauty of Wells Gray National Park. From the wonderful welcome we had, to the beautiful cabins, with the little touches which make such a difference, including hand-knitted slipper/moccasins, deep fluffy towels (and thank-you for lending us the beach towels for taking white water rafting as we had lost ours earlier in the holiday!), filtered water, delicious tea (lots of choices), coffee and hot chocolate options, the comfortable reclining chairs outside where you could sit and watch the hummingbirds fly in and out to feed and the friendly dogs and happy chickens roaming nearby.... The cabins never felt too hot, even when it was really hot outside, with high ceilings and fans, and we really relaxed here. The teenagers loved being able to kayak whenever they liked on the lake, which was a perfect temperature to swim in. The cooked breakfasts that came to our cabin every morning were all delicious, and so was the dinner we had - pacific salmon / delicious pasta. It's a perfect location to stay but also to go out - just 25 mins drive from Clearwater and a similar distance (or less) to some spectacular waterfalls and wonderful activities such as whitewater rafting. We brought some of their handspun alpaca wool home (the alpacas have sadly had to go to a new home) and lots of lovely memories.
• Rich187046 (10/5): What a great place - We stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon travels around Canada. This ranch is an example of hospitality at its finest. Superb welcoming check in and wonderfully clean cabin lodge. We took advantage of a guided farm tour and also signed up to a cheese making class which was incredibly fun. We had breakfast delivered too our cabin each morning which was cooked beautifully and likewise two evening meals as well. High quality home cooking at its best. There’s also a lake onsite for those who fancy a kayak. If you are visiting this are a I urge you to stay here. The team are wonderful. Thankyou so much from Richard and Ros

• Mark (9/5): Geweldig - Wat een vriendelijke mensen op deze ranch! Ze waren erg betrokken en konden ons veel over de omgeving vertellen. De cottage was sfeervol ingericht en de bedden lagen allemaal heerlijk. Helaas regende het veel, dan is het erg krap om binnen te eten. De huisjes lagen op een mooi terrein en onze meiden konden van de kano’s genieten op het meertje. Geweldig! Het ontbijt was van goede kwaliteit en het avondeten was subliem. Erg smaakvol en met liefde bereid! Het avondeten was zeker erg goed, maar wel ontzettend prijzig (voor gasten). Vergeet niet de muggenspray, want deze beestjes waren helaas erg aanwezig 😅. Daar kunnen de mensen uiteraard niets aan doen.

• Marcus (10/5): Super Unterkunft in einer tollen Natur-Umgebung. Unbedingt mehr als eine Nacht bleiben!!! - Super Unterkunft auf einer gut geführten kleinen Farm. Die Gäste werden in kleinen Holzhäusern beherbergt, die sehr sauber und gemütlich sind. Das Essen ist gut und das Früstück reichhaltig. Dabei ist es vor allem schön, dass man dieses gemütlich auf der Veranda des Häuschens einnehmen konnte (toll sind die kleinen Kolibris, die dabei gut zu beobachten sind und die zahlreich auf der Farm herumfliegen. Die tolle Lage in der Natur wird ergänzt durch einen kleinen See mit Kanus die zur Farm gehören und befindet sich in einer überragenden und überwältigenden Natur. Unbedingt genügend Zeit einplanen und die Wasserfälle erkunden und wandern gehen!!!! Es wäre tolle, wenn es das tolle Essen und das Frühstück noch auf echten tellern und nicht in den Wegwerfgefäßen geben würde. Ihr lebt in einer tollen Natur, erhaltet diese bitte auch durch Müllvermeidung.
