Guest Reviews
- CYNTHIA (1/5): - The room esp the bathroom was filthy dirty! They did not even bother to clean it!
Will not stay here again! Do not recommend!
- TIGERSNAKE16 (1/5): - Outside facilities look ok There is a notice that any damage or stains to the sheets or linen will be charged to you. The first room had damaged and stained sheets. The mattress was also tiny. Looked like a single on a double base.
They offered to move us to a family room. The sheets on 3 of the 4 beds were stained and damaged. After seeing 2 rooms with dirty sheets which is all they had I cancelled the booking
- Evora (10/5): -
- Mikka (5/5): Mediocre. - It was okay. The quality of the room you get for the price is not worth it. Small cramped rooms, pool is mediocre, the restaurant food options were limited and bland.
They did upgrade us after we complained though.
- Janet (7/5): They have very simple rooms.I like the fresh air , natural ambiance , and the mayon volcano view. - I like the natural style ambiance. The hot shower didn’t work.
There is no bidet and there is no toiletries and hairdryer.
- Joana (6/5): Will stay on another place that is more comfy next time - They let us change our room since there’s an available room that is more child friendly. The view of mayon is breathtaking There is no tv, no electric kettle, no ref, no hot shower in the room. Toiletries and complimentary coffee also not provided. Their restaurant opens at 7am so we had to eat outside because we need to leave early. Also, every grab drivers that we encounter keeps warning us to be careful and take care of our valuables during our stay since there were previous incidents of guests missing items on that property while checked in
- Edalin (5/5): Our stay is ok - The bali inspired aesthetic It’s a little bit further to the town. Wifi doesn’t work. Pool is outdated. Food from their restaurant is a bit expensive
- Karissa (9/5): Superb - The location is very nice.
- Jerome (1/5): Bad - There is a very good restaurant there as well as some attractive foliage. This the the WORST hotel ever. No hot water, no toilet paper, shower in the toilet stall, 120'sq., such poor lighting that reading was impossible, no room service, no towel change, no soap, and a very dangerous metal staircase in the center of the room.
- Mariliz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Crelor (8/5): Very good -
- Abad (9/5): Superb -
- Jelli (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean and decent The stairs going up to the room is accident-prone. Suggest to put boards at the back of the stairs so feet won't slip
- Eleazar (1/5): Bad - We booked the family room and we were housed on the 2nd floor. It was dilapidated! There's construction around the vicinity and no advise given. The toiletries not complete as well. We requested if there's available rooms downstairs because we have a Sr Citizen and non-offered. Not recommended if you have elderly companion. I guess still room for improvement otherwise ok.
- Carlos (7/5): unique, but basic - quiet, unique far from any stores, restaurants. 2 story room, the steps were very steep and precarious. There was no drinking water provided except the water cooler at reception
- Rebecca (5/5): Facilities is not maximize improve more the cleanliness of yhe pool and the bonfire - Nature feeling and the place mayon is visible. Staff friendly Nature feeling is there but not a user frienfly esp the stairs and not to to mentio CR is on downstairs. Room is too small without any place to hang dress and yes i see saksakan na napakataas na di abot ng chargers.
- Lucy (7/5): A place where you can relax with a nice view - I like the overall ambience of the place. I like that we had a smooth transition from our overnight stay there to our ATV adventure, since they also offer that there.
Its a place where you can relax with a nice view. The staff are also nice and very friendly. I didn't like the fact that the location of the restaurant from our room is really that far. I also saw a crawling insect in our bed, though its just one and the possibility that it just came from the nipa hut part, still it gave me an uneasy feeling. Another is that the shower cubicle seems to be a little bit small. It would have been better if it was a lil bit wider. And lastly, when I open the shower there was some sort of smell that comes off the running water. Eventually the smell is gone once you let the water running for a couple of seconds.
- Marinda (10/5): Exceptional - The view which we have a clear view of the Mayon Volcano as well as the layout and design of Rooms. It is also near the ATV trails for ATV activities. Nothing really. Almost everything was perfect. Maybe the restaurant can offer more variety of foods.
- Sharmaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberly (7/5): Saks lang din - Saks lang The aircon is not airconing. Shower room is too masikip. No free wifi for guest
- Diane (3/5): Poor -
- Daz (5/5): Rooms need some updating - The location was nice, perfect place to enjoy nature. Friendly staff. The bathroom is dirty and smelly, obviously not being cleaned regularly. Our room had a TV bracket on the wall but no TV, no fridge available, asked for a pitcher of water with ice, but I was given 2 small cups with ice in it. The outlet where the AC was plugged in had tissue/toilet paper tucked in. The bed is comfortable, but the sheets are thin and have multiple tears. The restaurant has good food selections but is way overpriced for small portions.
- Jane (5/5): Roam is okey dispite very compack for 5 people not much space to move around - The view of the volcano Unfinished construction
- Paul (5/5): Passable -
- Gemma (4/5): Disappointing -
- Peng (6/5): Pleasant - no There are no slippers, no shampoo, no shower gel, and the house is poorly soundproofed. The water for the shower is cold.
- Jandrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bryllin (8/5): Amazing View! - Excellent service. Close to attractions. Value for money! N/A
- Raleigh (5/5): Passable - The View and pool is perfect The family room in the container-style accommodation is small and lacks proper insulation. Additionally, the air-conditioning unit is excessively noisy and lacks adequate soundproofing, resulting in disturbances from neighboring family rooms being easily audible.
- Lilibeth (1/5): Bad -
- Norma (7/5): Good - Their staff. Very helpful and friendly. They're thinking about the needs of their customers, and I loved them!!!! Not comfortable for sleeping. Their family room is totally not a good room for family. They don't have the replacement for their AC!!
- Ireneo (6/5): Needs improvement - Just the Location No breakfast not even a kettle and TV inside the room.No hanging facilities in the toilet to hang your towel.
- Balas (8/5): Very good -
- Benanee (6/5): Wish we booked at a different hotel. - You get a good view of the Mayon volcano. There’s a pool. It’s not an ideal location, too far awayfrom the center. Commuting is extremely difficult. The huts were too small and very uncomfortable. We were not aware there isn’t a bathroom inside the rooms. The food was just okay.
- Alex (5/5): Passable - Pond, friendly staff AC not working well. Limited food choices at resto.
- Nasser (8/5): Very good - Booking fee was had a hidden charges I didn't expect it a little disappointment aside from that staff was so cooperative. The hidden charges for booking fee.
- Robert (3/5): Poor -
- Chaiyabons (6/5): Staff needs to be more attentive to their guests. - Location is a challenge - but thats okay. The trees and the native look of the accommodation- esthetics is good. For the price we paid, breakfast could have been included. The same price in the hotel in the city included breakfast. Water in the morning was not coming out of the faucet. When I requested for assistance, I needed to make 3 mobile calls and 2 messages to the front desk - and they still did not get the correct room number needing assistance. That was very frustrating and infuriating when you are trying to take a shower before an important work meeting! And to top it all there was no offer of any way to make it up.
- Matthias (9/5): Superb -
- Jas (6/5): its ok - the view the power supply is often interrupted
- Jeff (5/5): Better than staying in city center. - Nature resort style place Hard to get to toilet downstairs.
- Umbao (6/5): Pleasant -
- Angelene (9/5): Worth it and can do better 🙏 - What i like the most is the view of Mayon from our rented family suite. The location, ambience and amenities is a plus. They have instagrammable site.
We definitely love the swimming pool.
Will definitely book here again if we ever go back again 👌 hopefully we could book in the cabbana next time. Not fully aware that the family suite is a container house. When we arrived at the room it was very hot. Understandable since its already summer.
The balcony from the room is rusty and few holes are visible (from the front door of Room 6 we stay) Since its very hot its not recommendable to walk without slippers. I recommend they put some big rugs, outdoor carpet, renoleum to walk comfortably in the day.
The private bathroom
-door is hard to lock.
-no clothes/towel hanger, bathroom hanger.
-no soap holder
Blankets are way too thin. Although its hot in the day, at night its cold and a nice not so thin blanket would be better.
Some staff in the lobby/reception are just on their phone. We scheduled an 8am atv activity and we arrived 15mins before 8 at the reception, probably our fault not to ask why and what we are doing there, but none of the staff bothered to ask why we were there at the first place.
We understand that there is an on going building of new cabbana but should welding works stops at night? We heard welding at night and even as early as 6am when we woke up the next day. We didint not complain. Not angry or piss about this its just i think renov works should have definite time allocated in the day and end of day as we guest has strict rules to follow as well like no making noises to disturb other guest.
- Ma. (8/5): Very good -
- Kneitzi (10/5): It was overall a great experience. - It was clean and has a great ambiance. I just wish they would allow to bring outside food.
- Maria (9/5): View of Mayon is sooo love - Nature feels None
- Guozheng (9/5): Superb -
- Faminial (8/5): Join the tribe! - Your Brothers House is a unique lodging experience. I love the bahay kubo aesthetic.
The rooms are decent size, bit big enough for solo travellers.
The staff needs a lot of recognition, I absolutely love them. The restaurant has good food, try their local Bicolano cuisine!
If you are lucky, the view of the Mayon volcano from the premises is beautiful.
Don't miss out on their ATV tour!!! The resort is situated in a rural area, which is great, but your are limited to eating at the on-site restaurant so if you have a different craving from what they offer, you may have to head to SM Mall for variety.
The wifi reception is weak in your lodging area for heads up if you're the kind of person that needs to be connected.
The bed is not the most comfortable I've ever slept on.
- Olaf (7/5): Lovely place, basic facilities - Very nice and creatively designed garden with native style cabins in which you stay. Ideally located to explore mount Mayon. The facilities are very basic.
- Apolla (7/5): ATV saved my day. - Most of the facilities listed in the property details were not available. Listed facilities were not available. So it is misleading. When you a property you look at the facilities. Then upon checking in you will find that 50 % in the list were not available.
- Emelda (8/5): We have a great stay - The ambiance Nothing
- Jeffrey (10/5): Beautiful location and property with lush well kept gardens. Amazing g view of Mayon Volcano - Beautiful location and property with lush well kept gardens. Amazing g view of Mayon Volcano from resort and close. They also have ATV tours to Mayon
- Abuyog (8/5): Very good - Staying at this hotel felt like a serene escape in the middle of bustling city. With its perfect location and breathtaking views that and the cozy and unique ccommodation experience. Although the location and ambiance of the hotel were exceptional, I was disappointed by the lack of warmth and hospitality from the staff. Despite visiting numerous hostels, hotels, and Airbnbs, the level of service here fell short, with staff members failing to greet guests with a smile or provide the welcoming atmosphere one would expect from a hospitality establishment.
- Linh (8/5): wonderful - garden view so nice no hot water
- Terry (5/5): Passable -
- Danilo (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful place, the view of the volcano is amazing! Staff very friendly
- Jasmin (3/5): Horrendous - Pool Restaurant served raw chicken. Did not refund and charged us for new meal
- Jasmin (2/5): Very poor -
- Bobby (7/5): Good -
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (6/5): Tribal disappointment - Very much built as a 'tribal experience' business, along with rooms there's a restaurant and a small pool. The design of the compound is quite pleasant, with a variety of hut styles, a little footbridge and paths. Meant to be fun. Wifi is very poor. Our room was tiny, barely more than a bed. We paid extra to have two 'better' rooms with our own bathrooms. (other rooms share camp-style facilities) But the bathrooms were so tiny, and the shower so inconveniently designed, with no warm/hot water, that all 5 of us decided simply not to shower. Because they want you to use their restaurant, they have an 'exclusive' policy -- if you bring in food/beverage from outside, they can penalize you with extra fees. We had dinner at their restaurant. Prices are a little high, and portions are so small we had to order more dishes. I'll include a photo of the air-con unit in our room to indicate the level of workmanship.
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (2/5): Very poor - Leaving Staff un friendly. Even when checking out they just took key no thanks or any words.
Breakfast items limited and no refill of coffee unless you pay.
Guests dogs barking all night yet on website says no pets
Could do with coat hooks as no were to put jackets unless floor.
We arrived late and no water or drinks avaliable as stores closed
Kiki bar never open
- Vanz (6/5): A bit of disappointment. - The view of Mt. Mayon is clearly seen in the resort.. Surrounding is clean. There is no amenities inside the room. Outlets are place on high levels of the walls, specially in family room so it’s really hard to use. AC is not working well, thankfully there is heavy rain that day when we arrived so we just leave the window open. Since family room is made of aluminum it’s very hot inside. There’s no table so all of our things are just placed on the floor. Space is very small. We still need to go to reception to get hot water. And the restaurant nearby food servings is not okay. Staffs are not attentive.
- Catherine (10/5): We had a really wonderful time. Will definitely be back and recommending to friends. - I like the nature vibe and the how the accommodations are situated. None - I think it’s good and serve its purpose.
- Matylda (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (5/5): Passable -
- Marianne (7/5): Good -
- Temoney, (10/5): Beautiful hotel, great food, and nice staff. - Awesome get away environment. Cozy looking village and a comfortable room. Food was amazing. Staff was nice and helpful. Small misunderstanding about early check-in availability. It was cleared up quickly.
- Oliver (6/5): Cute, basic, reasonable facilities. - It was unique, they had a restaurant, swimming pool, community area on site. They offered bike rental (expensive) they own the ATV company round the corner so we managed to get a really early ride around the volcano! It was very hard to get a grab from here. But you can flag down a trike. They had a huge party of Filipinos stay for an event and they were loud! Water is cold only. Bathroom is downstairs on the ground floor - not great if you need a wee in the night!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Noli (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ushtyzai (5/5): Glamping is a thing! - The location from the airport is 45 minutes The taxi airport costs 800 pesos, if you like to go to the mall it is 150 pesos. There is a restaurant inside the village that makes it handy and the food was amazing, there is a launderette service, staff are very approachable and helpful. Manang in the restaurant was very good in customer service. I highly give credit to the chef for the way he creates home cooked food. It's a great glamping experience Toilets are communal by the way. Overall I am a happy customer. It happened that there was a party the night we checked in so it was very noisy until 3am and found it really hard to sleep, our hut was literally behind the venue so it didn't help 😭
We rang the reception and they actioned it.
- Regalado (7/5): Good -
- Arjy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arjy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Myram (7/5): Kudos to the staff who made sure I was safe during my stay in the property. - The staff was accommodating of my needs. I was transferred to a room where I didn't need to use stairs, with no extra charge! Thank you very much!
I enjoyed the pool though it was hard to go to the pool area from where I was checked in. It would have been better if they also allowed food to be taken inside. I understand that there was a restaurant in the location, but that could have been an option. Or maybe people are allowed to cook? There were also no chairs inside the family room, only a small table which was very low, or was it not a table at all and just something where you can put your things? It could also have been better if I was informed beforehand that the location would be difficult for a PWD.
By the way, not all PWDs use wheelchair, so if the property is wheelchair accessible, doesn't mean it is PWD-friendly :)
- Liezle (5/5): Passable - The staffs are accommodating and the ambience feels relaxing. The room needs a deep clean. The aircon in our room was not cooling at all and really noisy. Husband check it and really needs for a deep cleaning. We mentioned to the staff and they gave as electric fan. However, the fan is dusty. My son has dust allergy so he couldnt sleep well.
Also, the bathroom wall needs a deep clean as its moldy.
I didnt demand for a room move as we're really tired and needed to rest before we travel back to manila.
The sink is not draining. Thanks to the staff who helped sort it out.
- Balde (9/5): Superb -
- Marcella (7/5): Good -
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Milette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (7/5): 🇨🇦 tiki bar was fun! - Once you’re on the property, it felt very much like a small resort feeling. The family room really is just a bunkhouse with two bunkbeds and a pull out bed on the floor so that was somewhat disappointing and would not book it for a family instead, I would get multiple rooms if this was an option for you if facility is beginning to look a little bit tired and could use just general maintenance and every time we went to the restaurant half of the menu was not available on a regular basis we also found leading up too our stay, it was impossible to really contact anyone at the hotel and get any responses as we had to move our booking by two days and it took seven days for them to respond back to us but we were happy that they did make the changes for us. Finally, I would never use Booking.com again as they have been quite disappointing in handling some of our other bookings through our Bicol travels to the point of losing reservations and not accommodating us, and would suggest using any other booking agency except booking.com for your future bookings as they really don’t back you up when things go wrong and are more then happy to leave you on the street then deal with problems hotels is the experience we had .
- Novelyn (7/5): its okay. - ambiance location has poor internet signal. they have wifi but poor connection.
- Ben (6/5): Nice stay overall, just need some improvement. - Nice and neat property. Rooms didn’t have enough toiletries,
No available phone to call the reception .
- Bernadette (8/5): Excellent property with quirky villas to stay in. Close to volcano tour and excellent views - Fantastic view of the Mayon Volcano , great pool open 24/7 . The changing colours in the pool are awesome.
- Bernadette (9/5): Lovely villas to stay in. Great views of volcano and lovely colour changing pool open 24/7. - Excellent property to stay and visit the Mayon Volcano.
Fantastic view of the Volcano from the property.
- Bernadette (9/5): Great place to stay to view volcano and lovely rooms - Excellent location snd great views of volcano
- Anonymous (1/5): Will definitely not coming back. Not worth the price. - Door knob lock is not working and the room looks like not maintained.
- Melanie (7/5): Good will recommend - The view from our villa is so nice can see the mt mayon very well. Our room a bit hot its made up of steel it like a cargo container..
- Mkrstnj (7/5): The place is decent and relaxing but with the price we paid, we could've just booked in a hotel. - The most thing I like about the place is their restaurant, Kusina Zebra. The meals are so good, not that pricey and the staff are all accommodating. I also like our room, though it's small but it's enough for me and my husband. It is clean, decent and I felt comfortable sleeping. I also like the quietness of the place and the landscape, very relaxing. Wifi - slow, not recommended for those who are working remotely. I had to use my phone's mobile hotspot so I can join the meeting and it's faster than their wifi.
No hot and cold shower in our room. We have to endure the cold water especially in the morning. The shower's nozzle is so weird that the water is sprayed out in different direction that it's hard to rinse yourself.
No tv in our room.
No free breakfast given the rate of the room. When I booked, it show's that the amount I had to pay in the property is around 3800 only but when we checked in, there is a hidden charge and it's total to 4800+.
- Ethel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aime (8/5): Very instagrammable and quiet place for staycation - The landscape were amazingly curated.
Quiet place to do staycation.
Nice theming
Very instagrammable We stayed in a room very unappropriate for senior 🥲 but we'll book the one without stairs next time 😉
There were no kettle to heat water.
Didn't provide toiletries
The room door frame is no longer in good shape.
Lighting in the washroom was dark.
Restaurant signage ia not visible.
- Lakshmanan (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (10/5): Awesome - The staff are kind and accommodating 😊 The family room is hot when its noon time but one of the staff willing to move us in a nicer room with less charge
- Marian (8/5): Very good -
- Marianne (5/5): If you want value for your money, this is not the place for you.You can get better rates with better facilities somewher - Manicured lawns It offers hot water but there was none. The night stand was busted.
- James (9/5): Superb - Nice place to stay.. We waited for checkin time even there is no other guest. Very strict in checkin and checkout
- Nory (5/5): Passable -
