• Kari (3/5): Comfy bed, needs a major upgrade - Location, dog friendly, comfortable beds! Shower and sinks didn’t drain, wallpaper crumbling off the walls, broken light fixtures, overall dirty (although I’d put the ownership of this on the management, not the cleaning crew - it’s obvious dirty furniture needs to be replaced

• Victoria (8/5): Had a great stay! Highly recommend if you are in the half moon Bay Area - Love that the hotel is dog friendly and they have a little clean up area. The hotel is very clean, quiet and the staff were friendly. The restaurant/bar right next door has great food and drinks.

• Jeffery (7/5): While there were unpleasant aspects of the stay, it was a beautiful location with a clean room. - The location was nice. The staff that WAS present was kind. The rooms were clean and the amenities were great. There is an online “front desk employee” that would talk basically through video call. It was an unpleasant experience to use a video call to check out and ask for amenities. There was no front desk person to help out except for my check in. I called the front desk because the remote we had in the room had dead AAA batteries. I attempted to call the front desk and no one answered. I had to go downstairs to talk to the online receptionist and he told me he would send staff right away. They never came.

• Alycia (7/5): - Only complaint was the hot water ran out after being in shower for 5 min. It would turn to luke warm. Also the body soap was empty after one use.
• Clarinda (10/5): Very clean, cozy, and quiet; the location is perfect - Its towards the outskirts of town so it gives a feel like you’re out in nature in the mountains, while still being close to trails to the beach cliffs and the cypress tunnel and a short drive into downtown. My husband was able to take a long run from the hotel room all the way through the tunnel to the Half Moon Bay Trail and back. He loved it so much we plan to come back and try other trails. Our stay was pleasant the entire time. No complaints.

• capncavey (6/5): Aristocrat hotel stay - Close to beach and Half Moon Bay. Kiosk was not helpful. Liked door entry without card keys. Breakfast was hit or miss at times. Would be nice to have "Make up Room" and "Privacy Please" for door handle.

• Paula (5/5): The hotel's location was perfect for walking our dog on the trails to the beach. - Breakfast was adequate. Most options were available on Saturday, but by Monday, yogurt and apple juice were no longer offered. Since I do not eat eggs or sausage, I would have preferred that the other options remain consistent. Having water without cucumber flavoring would also have been preferable. We had issues with our bathroom: the toilet handle didn’t work properly, the towel hook was coming loose from the door, the faucet was unsteady and wobbled when used, and the water pressure was low. Since the staff was not readily available at the front desk, it was difficult to report these specific problems. Additionally, because we were only staying two nights, we didn't want to try to change rooms

We were there for two nig - After having spent thousands s including, Hilton, Choice, Besr Western,IGH, Mariota and wydom.we fell for it….false advertising, this place is no better than Best Westrn Plus. People your reading this because you want to here our findings. No handicap parking only compact parking. Breakfast short on items served by-others .Best Westwen get you game on put micro waves in all the rooms not just the ADA rooms shorting the towels in three bath rooms

The building is cute, and the English-themed decoration was adorable. The location was very convenient. Good value. We were lucky to be checked in by a staff at the front desk. Others had to use the virtual check in and that was not safe or pleasant. Virtual check-out was not a problem.

• Esther (7/5): A great place to overnight. The staff member was stoic when we checked in. The negative part was, not enough towel sets - The room is comfortable, spacious, and clean. Amazing with interesting eclectic features.

• Thomas (8/5): I would stay here again. - The hotel was close to beaches and about 40 minutes from San Francisco. Quaint main street with shops and restaurants. The facility was two floors and appeared to be a newly built hotel. The breakfast was OK. We ended up going to other places most of our stay. The room service doesn't clean under the beds, at least not in our room.

Great atmosphere. Stayed in 4 other places in half moon bay and this is the one I’d choose to go back to.

• Ronald (7/5): - Big room. More-than-continental breakfast. No clock radio. Virtual front desk, which means a remote human being via video instead of someone in person who can recommend restaurants, give driving directions, and provide other local information.
• ginavD2170CO (2/5): Be careful with your debit card! - I was double charged at check-in, and the hotel did nothing to help rectify the situation. They left me trapped and stranded with little money after charging my card two times and taking my gift cards! I was charged 3 times and over $1000 in total. This experience ruined my birthday and my faith in best western to rectify their own mistakes. So disappointed.

• melissabQ6119SN (6/5): Good room/with minor issues - the aristocrat was beautiful from outside and throughout the property including rooms. Location was just off the Hwy and literally so close to the beach. My partner and I stayed one night as we were taking a trip up the coast of Cali. Check-in was seamless, pricing seemed to be fair. we stayed in room 218, very clean upon first check-in. toilet seat cover needed to be replaced (had scratches) but overall exactly what we needed. Upon pulling the sheets back when crawling into bed we realized there was a few orange stains directly in the center of the bed. We were both exhausted and did not have the energy to ask to have the sheets replaced as such we just threw down a towel. the bed was super comfortable! Waking up refreshed we went down to grab some breakfast, upon examining the spread the only warm things offered was scrambled eggs or sausage patties both of which looked atrocious. (eggs looked like slightly larger grains than normal couscous just with water pooling at the bottom of the tray and the sausage patties were grey) we ended up just having toast and jam. Not a bad stay overall, I would go back again, just planning on looking at the sheets beforehand and grabbing breakfast maybe from the pub that's just downstairs.

• Sean (7/5): overpriced but comfortable - the room was spacious and comfortable. the shower was spacious and had good water pressure/temp. the lobby was nice and the staff was pleasant. the tv was one of the best I've seen in a hotel (very new/modern). the best reason to stay here is for the beaches, parks and scenery in half moon bay, but there are other hotels closer to the beach in this price range. hallway noise was quite loud. my room was near the ice machine and someone was rattling around in there for like 20 minutes straight early in the morning. they also claim to have a fantastic breakfast -- I would say it's sub par compared even to much less expensive hotels.

• annadanm (8/5): Nice location. - Newer building, very clean, internet was 90%, breakfast was terrible. Staff were blasé—when you could find them. I think they are understaffed because often a sign indicated they were “busy” elsewhere.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the internet is very spotty and you need it to get your room code and to run the TV. We tried to watch a movie in the room and it froze so much it was pretty hard to watch anything. So bring a book or board game to be entertained.

We had 2 small dogs with us and he told me about all the extras for our furry babies. We definitely plan on staying longer next time with our daughter, and have already shared with family and friends what a great hotel this is.
