The location was fabulous the staff I encountered this time round were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Donna in House keeping, what a lovely lady, I noticed her saying Hi to all the guests she’s came across and was super helpful when doing our room.

- Rowena (10/5): Excellent service and ultimate comfort - We had the King classic room with a very comfortable bed, and a lovely, spacious bathroom. The room was elegantly decorated and had bathrobes, slippers, and everything we needed. After a long, 3-week road trip around New Zealand, it was wonderful to relax for the last 3 nights in such a comfortable, luxurious space. I left my BOSE ear buds behind and the hotel staff very kindly organised to mail them home to me, and answered all my emails very promptly. Not many hotels provide such thoughtful service. I’m not a fan of walk-in showers with no doors. The bathroom is very cold, and with no doors, it’s hard to stay warm under the shower.

- Lauren (9/5): Would recommend - Large room, modern, well-appointed, comfy and clean. Couldn't be more central, very easy to get to lots of restaurants, museums, tram etc. Staff on reception very helpful and felt great value overall.

- winnie (9/5): The hotel was a 10 in location and comfort. - The location was in the middle of the tourist/town center. We walked to the botanical garden, to the museums, restaurants, tram stops, shopping area. The room and bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable. The service at the dining room was slow. The staff seem to run around busy but not efficiently serving or clearing the plates. The breakfast spread was not great. There was no cook to order station. Choices and selections were limited.

View, room was fantastic, facilities were good, lobby bar was good and comfortable, Beds were amazingly comfortable. Close to everything you could want shops bars restaurants and Ballantynes. Breakfast was very mediocre Bar fridge was useless and a waste of time having it so you couldn't have any cold drinks. You had to buy them if you wanted cold drinks, big deal for me. . Paying for parking. New automatic fittings in the shower didnt always work
- Michael (8/5): Fantastic staff comfortable room and - Staff were fantastic and helpful. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view overlooking the Cathedral and most of the town. Restaurants and bars very close by and also the tram station with its array of shops and eatery's. Breakfast was very average at best, I would not recommend it. Room was a suite and it was newly renovated but in my humble opinion the room lost all of its character and charm. Shower was temperamental and only worked when it wanted to. Paying for parking.

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The bed was also very comfortable. The mirror in the bathroom did not quite have sufficient lighting to apply makeup for my old eyes. Everything else was excellent. Thank you.
- Kylie (9/5): - When I dropped my daughter off and her partner to stay the night on Saturday the young lady at the front counter was very rude… she kept looking at the young man next to her.. I had just got back from a business meeting and went to drop my daughter and her partner off for her birthday present… I wasn’t looking the tidiest but was one heck of a day long one at that… the young lady looked up n down at us and was sniggering… I wasn’t planning on on dropping my daughter off but I did the young lady then asked for my credit card I said it should already be on file .. she said I need to double check it I’m not sure what she would have done if I didn’t drop my daughter off?? She then looked at my credit card making sure it was correct.. that’s fine but she had a manner that came across as rude and made us feel down graded, apart from that my daughter had an amazing night and really loved her stay thank you .

- Michael (9/5): - Location is great we had a suite which was very good indeed roomy and very comfortable it was an older suite which is far better than the new renovated suites. Breakfast could be far better for an establishment of this repute . breakfasts were some of the worst i had on the trip. This is an area that all the Distinction hotels fall down on in my opinion.

- AMANDA (9/5): Fab stay in the amazing Christchurch - Fantastic location. We choose this room as we had two teenagers and it gave us a bit more room. Which worked well. Able to walk everywhere. Tram 100m away.
