Vyborne jako vychozi bod pro dalsi vylety po okoli. Byli jsme dve noci a stihli navstivit opravdu hodne znamych mist, vodopadu, plazi, gejziru apod.

Avere la possibilità di ammirare il paesaggio e i cavalli dalla propria finestra non ha prezzo. Nella zona giorno non è presente un divano, probabilmente per via della mancanza di spazio. Sarebbe carino inserirlo così da poter sfruttare al meglio la zona comune. Nulla di negativo da segnalare.

• Annabell (9/5): Wer etwas außerhalb und mit Pferden Zeit verbringen möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben! - Das Zimmer war klein, aber gemütlich. Auf unserem Fernseher liefen sogar Dienste wie Netflix. Der Aufenthaltsraum war sehr groß und hatte viel zu bieten, wie eine Kaffeemaschine und einen Wasserkocher, sowie einen CD-Player. Das Frühstück war super und es wurde sich sehr um Sauberkeit bemüht!

• Kevin (8/5): - We stayed in the private apartment for three nights. The location is great for exploring the South Coast. We could have easily stayed here longer as there is so much to see and do within an hour or so of drive. The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had a full kitchen with a little dishwasher. We had beautiful views of the horse farm, and mountains in the distance. There was also a river behind the farm.

The guesthouse was clean and comfortable with an enormous upstairs sitting room with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was adequate but convenient. It was lovely to see the Icelandic horses outside the window and to be able to visit the stables to meet them up close.

Bonus with a rainbow and sheep outside the window :). We quickly got in touch with the host through Booking’s chat when we had a question. Some hooks for jackets in the hallway and for towels in the bathroom would have been helpful.

• Kate (8/5): - The Guesthouse was nicely decorated and checknin eas easy. The room was comfortable and the shower was good. Even with a shared bathroom it wasn't too busy. Breakfast was OK. There were no keytles in the room although there was free tea and coffee upstairs but there was no milk available for this. A microwave upstairs in thr lounge to heat a simple dinner would make all the difference Breakfast isn't served until 8am which is quite late compared to other places and a bit late when you want to get on the road for a full day of sightseeing. Also it says you are welcome to view the horses in the stables which we wanted to do but it wasn't clear at all which building was the stable or how we could do this so we didn't. With hindsight we should have contacted the owners but didn't. A missed opportunity for us.
• Jens (7/5): Leuke locatie, maar kamer heeft meer onderhoud nodig. - Leuke locatie, ruime kamer (in het geval van de junior suite) Enkele uren op voorhand gebeld met de vraag of er een koelkast aanwezig was en dit werd bevestigd. Bij aankomst bleek de koelkast te zijn uitgeschakeld, de koelkast was muf en had op meerdere plaatsen schimmel. Het onderhoud van de kamer zelf kon ook beter: loshangende gordijnen, schimmel in douche, vuile waterglazen op tafel, stopcontacten met ontbrekende afdekplaatjes, verouderde badkamer en zeer vuile ramen.

• Henrike (9/5): Sauberes Guesthouse auf Reitanlage mit nettem Personal - Das Guesthouse ist sehr ruhig gelegen auf einer Reitanlage. Alles ist wunderbar organisiert und die Infos waren ausreichend. Die Junior Suite ist sehr geräumig und war sauber. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und die junge Frau sehr bemüht alles zügig aufzufüllen. Frische Waffeln wurden auch angeboten. Der Fußboden der Dusche bedarf einer Renovierung. Es war sehr unruhig in der Nacht durch andere Gäste.

View from the window in our room, the horses, the stable, lobby, the northern lights from the terrace, free breakfast. The towel is a bit wet so i did not use it, but maybe it's just moisture from the temperature. Uncomfy pillow(not soft), breakfast has too little variety. The first toilet needa more cleaning.

• René (6/5): Der Aufenthalt war für unsere Verhältnisse zu teuer für das gebotene Gesamtpaket. - Netter Empfang vom Gastgeber und freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeitende. Das Hauptgasthaus mit zwei Etagen ist in den öffentlichen Bereichen gepflegt und wirkte sehr familiär. Wir waren eine Woche lang in der angrenzenden Ferienwohnung mit zwei Zimmern und einem Bad (Dusche) und WC mit Waschtisch untergekommen. Die Ausstattung der Küche war echt sehr gut und für die meisten würden die zur Verfügung gestellten Gewürze und das Öl sicher vollkommen ausreichen. Geschirr ist für vier Personen vorhanden. Auch eine Geschirrspülmaschine, ein Backofen mit vier Kochfeldern, eine Kaffeemaschine mit Filtertüten, Toaster und Wasserkocher waren vorhanden, hier kann man nur Gutes berichten. Der Küchen- und Essbereich mit Tisch einer Sitzbank und zwei Stühlen war früher ein eigenständiger Bereich des Anbaus des Haupthauses (Erdgeschoss). Aus dem Küchenbereich hat man einen Fensterblick nach Norden. Aus dem Küchen- und Essbereich gelangt man mit einem kleinen Höhenunterschied in den erweiterten Anbau (eine Stufe nach unten). Dieser Bereich umfasst ein Schlafsofa, Zugang zum Bad, in das Schlafzimmer und zur Eingangstür. Im Aufenthaltsbereich ist ein TV angebracht, allerdings ohne TV-Anschluss. Wer Kunde von Netflix oder Amazon ist, kann sich damit die Zeit vertreiben. Das WLAN ist für die klassischen Anwendungen ausgesprochen sehr gut. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es ein Doppelbett mit zwei Fenstern und zwei große Schränke für die Klamotten oder Koffer. Ansonsten lässt sich das Schlafzimmer recht gut abdunkeln, gerade von Mai bis August, sicher vorteilhaft. Die Unterkunft ist etwas abgelegen, nach Hella fährt man aber nur ca. 15 min. Dort findet man alles was man braucht und hat zudem die Möglichkeit mit den Hochlandbussen Ausflüge zu starten. Wir würden wahrscheinlich beim nächsten Besuch nicht so lange bleiben, da man doch viel Zeit im Auto verbringt, wenn die Unterkunft der Ausgangspunkt ist. Angeln könnte man fußläufig, habe die einheimischen oft beobachtet, gefangen wurde nichts. Nun was wir leider bemängeln müssen, sind die Schlafmöglichkeiten, sprich Matratzen. Hier muss unbedingt nachgebessert werden, dass haben wir dem Vermieter auch mitgeteilt. Wir haben eine Woche darauf versucht zu schlafen. In dem Aufenthaltsbereich gibt es ein Schlafsofa. Dieses Wickelbett (IKEA), wenn benötigt, ist zum Schlafen für Kleinkinder in Ordnung. Erwachsene können darauf nicht vernünftig schlafen. Auch lässt sich der große Raum nicht vollständig abdunkeln und Kinder finden darin auch keine Ruhe, weil er zum gesamten Nutzungsareal Küche und Essbereich gehört. Wenn das Wickelsofa ausgerollt ist, kann man nicht ungehindert ins Badezimmer gelangen. Für uns war das nicht schlimm, muss aber erwähnt werden. Tagsüber kann man das Sofa ja wieder zusammenrollen, wenn einen das stört. Was sicher auch überdacht werden muss, ist die Position dies Rauchwarnmelders. Wir haben in der Küche etwas angebraten und der Bratendunst hat diesen zum Auslösen gebracht. Die gute Nachricht, mit dem zur Verfügung gestellten Tischventilator kann man bei offener Eingangstür dieses Ereignis umschiffen. Generell muss man auf einem Pferdehof mit Fliegen rechnen, die kommen auch sehr gern und zahlreich in das Wohnquartier, ob über das Bad- und Küchenfenster oder die Eingangstür beim Kochen. Abhilfe könnten hier ein Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern und eine Dunstabzugshaube mit Abluft nach außen schaffen. Grundsätzlich, das ist halt fast typisch für Island, nimmt man es mit der Bauphysik und Lüftungskonzepten nicht so eng. Das merkt man auch im Bad, obwohl wir für ausreichend Lüftung (Querlüftung) gesorgt haben, scheint das Bad nie wirklich trocken zu werden. Dies bewirkt die Bildung von Schimmel in den Fensterecken und in der Duschwanne nebst der Siliconfugen. Aus unserer Sicht muss in dem Bad ein Abluftsystem eingebaut werden.

• Katharina (4/5): Internetpräsentation?! - Ruhige Lage, große Lounge Unhöfliche Behandlung im Pferdestall. Trotz Einladung der Gäste zur interaktiven Kontaktaufnahme mit den Pferden war der Besuch unerwünscht. Wir hatten uns dort nur ruhig und beobachtend bewegt.

• Melanie (10/5): We had a perfect stay - Everything is just right here!!! Getting to Ármót Guesthouse was straightforward and our key hung ready to come straight to our room. We had the room with private bathroom. It is all super nicely decorated and it is very very clean. I immediately felt comfortable and also the beds are very comfortable. On the upper floor there is a lounge which is super cozy and there is coffee and tea. Breakfast is adequate and there are even hot waffles 😋. The environment is very quiet. If you want you can watch the anglers or the horses in the evening or you can just walk along the river. Also the hosts are super warm and have given us so many tips that we have thrown many of our plans over the top. Thank you both for this great time with you 🙏🏻

Colazione eccellente, bagni in comune comodissimi e puliti. La zona della cucina è dedicata solo allo staff, chiederei all’host di aprirla a tutti e sarebbe davvero una svolta.

• Britt (5/5): Not good enough (price/quality) - We called then on our way to the guesthouse (because we got kind of lost), they were very friendly and helped us. The kitchen was clean and wel equipped. When we arrived, there were many flies in the appartment. We noticed that the window in the bathroom was broken, there was just a simple note that we could not touch it. That was it, Because there are many horses on the domain, there were so many flies inside. Not pleasant at all. The bathroom was not clean (especially the floor) and the beds were not good. For the prize that we paid, it was just not good. There are so many better places to stay.

• Pascal (9/5): definitiv wiederkommen - Sehr gemütliches Guesthouse mit ruhiger Atmosphäre. Das Badezimmer war sauber und mit Haartrockner ausgestattet, der Bademantel sehr angenehm. Wir haben gut geschlafen – die Betten sind bequem und es war schön ruhig. Liebevolle Details wie Schokolade auf dem Bett. Frühstück mit frischen Waffeln, Apfel, Joghurt und Cerealien. Gute Kommunikation. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und würden definitiv wiederkommen. Der Heizkörper im Bad hätte eine Reinigung nötig, und statt Toast hätten wir uns etwas Brot oder Chia gewünscht. Je nach Nachbar etwas ringhörig.
