Savonds wel koud maar kregen hout voor de openhaard en bed heeft matras verwarming dus uiteindelijk heerlijk geslapen. Eigenaar heeft 2 leuke honden, Hadden met ontbijt geboekt maar in de ochtend was er niemad te vinden en ontbijtzaal op slot.

Breakfast was amazing. Towels can be change on a daily basis as we must have used cold wet towels the following evening (so it was already used twice and then for a third time) and it started to smell - the king size bed with extra length can have proper sheets as the bottom sheet only been hooked over the pillow top and not over the whole matres side - very uncomfortable as the bottom sheet move of from the matres and the top sheet are around our necks in the mornings. I really did not like that at all. Need hangers in the cupboards as we could not hang any clothes into the cupboards. We have to live out of our suitcase. Heaters for each room will be nice to have. Hannetjie did explain about wooded floors condition, but it need serious attention.

The whole house was so beautifully decorated, clean and smelled so nice. Everything was working properly and in good condition. The linen and towels were clean, soft and fresh. Everything was just awesome, and we had a great stay. We will definitely go back soon. There was not even one thing out of place, or we did not like or that we can be complain about.
- Alexander (9/5): Magical and quiet. - Beautiful location on a quiet farm and surrounds. Breakfast was fantastic and watching the little donkey's, Lama's walking past in the morning was magical. Our two doggies loved every minute of their stay, with lots of exploring. Hannetji was very hospitable and made us feel at home. My only recommendation would be to have non smoking on the patios that are adjacent to non-smoking rooms.

She claims booking.com advertises and charges less for her expensive rooms but that has nothing to do with us.

- Minette (8/5): Weekend getaway - Beautiful surroundings in the Drakensburg. We took our dogs with. They got on well with the owners’ dogs. Breakfast is served independently at the restaurant on site. They say between 8AM and 10AM. Both days they were not open by 8AM. The first morning we had to be in Clarens by 9AM, so we did not have time to wait. On the second morning, we waited more than half an hour without anyone saying anything to us, so we left. I must say, this was a let down on the trip.

It is close enough to Clarens so you can go walk around and enjoy the restaurants, but it is isolated enough to feel intimate and quiet. We will definitely be back in the future! Sandstone, well appointed, comfy etc. The Farm is in the process of changing from a permanent restaurant, to managing this in-house. They offered a basic breakfast which was fine. They have plans to upgrade this so as to meet further guest needs and I am sure they will accomplish this over time. The staff are excellent and I'm sure will make it happen. There are many restaurants in Clarens close by as alternatives. Cooking facilities in the room are limited. We were there over VERY cold weekend, and the room we were in was cold oil heater and built-in fireplace (bring your own wood or buy in Clarens). There were electric blankets so bed was100%. Would have been nice to be able to buy wood at the farm for convenience. The unit (Pintje) would be stunning in warmer weather
- Faiza (10/5): A beautiful, calm and memorable stay!Great home and excellent on site Manager! - A beautiful warm welcome, made us all feel at home and it started the trip off. This really set the tone for us the entire weekend. The home was neat and well organised, fresh and full of everything we could need, actually more than many other establishments I have previously visited. We actually carried more than needed(basic items). The property is peaceful, clam and just what was displayed online(however the house is way bigger than what it seems online). The manager is a complete darling, she really made our stay amazing, thank you so much for the constant attention and the chats, I will be back here. The house is a work of art, Its admirable, lots of different pieces to admire. The location was perfect, not to far in and not far away from the town, very easy to find. I was actually surprised by the breakfast as I did not read up on that and many establishments do not really offer this, so it was a lovely addition. (Maybe some halaal options would be good). To be honest everything was well organised and we did not lack anything, it was well equiped and exactly what we needed.

- Hannelie (5/5): Appreciated the hot water and shower. Overall it was a good experience. - Linnen on the bed are very sub-standard. Queen size duvet cover with ? Double duvet inner. Fitted sheet very thin and dis not fit the bed properly. Flat sheet to small for the bed. No plug near a mirror to blow dry hair.

- Anita (9/5): My happy place. We will be back. - The owners and staff were so hospitable and made us feel at home. Such a happy farm with beautiful views and tranquil surroundings. The entrance driveway a bit difficult to navigate without a 4x4.
- Ian (10/5): Want to stay in a traditional farm house which is wonderful, then stay at Linwood - Loved the fact that we stayed on a farm while in Clarens and the house we stayed in was enormous and a real old tradition farm house but with a slight modern feel Need some work on service in the restaurant area plus the drinks in the bar are limited and of short supply.

Delicious food. - We liked everything about the farm - Our only suggestion (given load shedding in SA) is that solar or generator be considered. That said, they do have gas

Accommodation was clean and smelled so fresh, even the guest toilets at the Restaurant smelled so clean and fresh. Neat and tidy Restaurant. Will definitely stay there again. Going to miss Milo and Muis the dogs.
- Corrine (7/5): We enjoyed our time away from city living. - The old farm appeal and that it was out of town. Very dark inside the house, especially the passage. Little stair in passage that we all kept tripping over because it was so dark. There was a strange smell the first night from the one room, we ran water through the taps and after a while it went away.

- 31517 (10/5): Overall very cozy, great hosts, great scenery - There is a beautiful country restaurant on the premises that serves great food, we had breakfast there. The menu is great, offering curry, eisbein, seafood etc. There is a cave you can walk to on an adventure hike, so worthwhile. The alpacas are fun too !
