• Scott (5/5): Disappointed and won't be returning - The complex the apartment was in was very nice, quiet and well looked after with convenient parking near the apartment. It was well located for our purposes and the beds were comfy. The apartment is in real need of some maintenance and TLC, particularly the bathroom which had mould on the walls, tiles and around the bath and basin and I would expect a far better standard of cleanliness for the price we paid. You'd be able to sort that out in a day or two. There was also a major power outage in the area whilst we were there which I appreciate the owners could do nothing about but there was a complete lack of communication on it and they only responded to a message I sent 8 hours later and I had to rely on neighbours in the complex for any updates on when the power might return. Again, I would expect better service and perhaps they should have an invertor or at least some sort of backup plan?

• Preggy (1/5): Book with caution - Good value for money On the day of the booking, after receiving all the check-in information, I was advised that the place was not available to accommodate me. I had to make alternative arrangements in the last minute.

The aircon did not work at all and we were unable to watch tv as it needed some upgrade which could not be done. A non slip bath mat in the bath would be very good as bath is very slippery when taking a shower.

• Shameeca (1/5): Terrible - Absolutely nothing All the sheets and blankets on each bed had stains and disgusting marks. The refrigerator and glassware were extremely dirty and very unhygienic. It was suggested by the owner and I quote "if its that bad we should not have stayed", well maybe because we paid nearly R2 000, and travelled 500km with nowhere else to go, we had no choice but to stay. The owner stays 10km away from the accommodation as stated in his email and didn't have the time to inspect the apartment before expected guests arrived. The excuses is unacceptable because this wasn't a last minute booking, I reserved this accommodation 2months prior I paid for it prior to our stay as well so he was well aware of the booking and personally the least he could have done was to make sure his guests have clean bedding getting their money's worth. No, thank you never again!

Had to pay double for a different guesthouse. Nothing, their communication is so poor I had to find another guesthouse.

Not child friendly as tv is tucked under staircase so can only be viewed from double bed and not anywhere else in the room. • Nini (3/5): Bad attitude from Owner - It is closer to various places and easy to find. The owner or manager was very rude and not hospitable. We reported the microwave which was not working and he did nothing about it and instead he sent a nasty message saying they don't have microwaves lying around. Secondly the room was dirty and not cleaned, instead of apologising he sent a message to say they don't have cleaners over the weekend and so why did they make the place available??? I was also expecting a backup plan due to loadshedding especially that we were traveling with kids and when I asked why there is not even an LED light he said people will steal them. I'm very disappointed at the attitude of this guy, he even said I can write a bad review if it will make me feel better! Instead of apologising for all this he said I'm trying to ruin his business! What about his clients dignity??? So unprofessional and rude. I did not expect a dirty place and a rude owner. I will never book this place or encourage anyone to make a booking with them.

The fact that there is no human contact makes in inhuman and unwelcoming. It was me and the whatsapp instruction, felt like a soldier camp. No alternative, at least a light when there is loadshedding.... it just went completely dark. Complete horror 😱

The kitchen well furnished and full access of wash machine and drier machine We love to eat inside and it will be great to find a place to put a table. More of than during the colder evenings as we had. During the blackout we have no light at all. It will be more convenient to have a little light or either a candle just to not be in the dark.
