Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): So good we stayed an extra day - Above all, I would like to thank the staff of the hotel for the excellent care and service provided during our stay. My wife fell and broke her leg while we were on holiday and they could not have been more helpful and they did so with sincere concern for her, providing a wheelchair and walker as well as the usual hotel services. A special thanks to Helena for being wonderful.
The hotel location is great for the town and only a short walk to the beach. It was very clean throughout and the bed was comfortable.
The lift was one of the better ones we found during our journey in Greece.
- Jawad (10/5): - it would be better if there was shampoo and soap, as two separate items
- Johnny (10/5): - Hotel was very clean, did not smell of smoke. Receptionist was very kind, and helpful. Great place to stay if you’re in corinth
- María Esther (6/5): - esta antiguo
- Lara (10/5): - The team at this hotel is so warm u feel like you’re home. My first time in Corinth and they made it soo welcoming! Helena is amazing and made the whole experience so charming! My daughter loved her!
- Sebastian (10/5): - Ruhiges kleines Hotel. Zimmer sehr klein aber fürs Geld o.k.
- Carl (8/5): - Goed, vriendelijk personeel en goed gelegen.
- Anabel (10/5): - Merci au préposé à la réception. Vraiment accueillant et avenant!
- Joseph (2/5): - I can’t stay in the hotel for one day even my reservation is for four days, the dirtiest hotel I ever seen
- Cori (10/5): Very helpful staff - This is a budget hotel, so I expected very basic accommodations which is what we got. The air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast is not included but was available for €12pp. They wanted to charge the same for children we they asked for a discount and they obliged. The front desk worker told us we could have his parking spot right in front of the hotel which was very generous. We sent some laundry across the street and when the laundry closed for the day, the hotel held our clean laundry for us until we could return, even though we had checked out. They were very accommodating. This hotel was a stopover on a longer road trip.
- Ann (10/5): - Staff was excellent!
- Lara (10/5): - Front desk staff was v helpful - location very convenient and close access to everything
- mark (8/5): Great staff - I stayed here for 2 nights I was fortunate enough to have the suite, which was nice and roomy, the first thing I would say is the staff are second to none in friendliness and helpful, the problem is the hotel is aged and is in dire need of refurbishment, the lobby and lounge are passible but the rooms are very tired, if you want a cheap hotel with parking for a night or two its fine if your looking for a holiday break you need to look else where, I did not try the breakfast but my friends were none to complimentary about it, I feel sorry having to be truthful because a lot is out weighed by the staff, but people need to know what they are walking into that's the point of the reviews.
- Kostandin (10/5): - Great
- Kurr (2/5): - Wir hatten unzählige Gelsen im Zimmer. Meine Frau hatte alleine am linken Unterarm 18! Stiche.
- Brian (4/5): - I’m almost positive they charged me in addition to paying on expedia. The door to the room closed only if yanked, and then plaster falls off the wall. It looks nice from the outside, looks nice in the entrance. Room was not nice. Good food nearby.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Should be a 1 star hotel - This hotel was overall quite a bad experience.
The lounge workers seemed bored as hell and everytime we came home, they would be sitting on the couch looking very tired and bored.
The sheets had a lot of stains on them.
The shower doesn't have a holder for the showerhead and the showerdoor fell apart in multiple places.
Shower has either very warm or very cold water.
The toilet flushes terribly and the sound fron flushing is !extremly loud!
At the same time the door to the toilet is with gaps/no sound isolation and it is very easy to hear your neighbors.
No light on the balcony for when the sun goes down.
Very cramped room, you dont get what you see in the pictures at all.
I saw a couple trying to leave the hotel early because they didnt like it there and the staff seemed anoyed that they wouldnt stay.
- Christian (10/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel
- Michael (4/5): - Very small shower. Air conditioner was barely working. Breakfast was simple and didn’t cost much. Staff was somewhat disinterested. Parking was free but challenging to find.
On the positive side, the property is only a couple of blocks away from plenty of restaurants
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Fiyatımda göre otel odaları oldukça eski
- Robert (6/5): - We were met by friendly staff. The hotel is a bit dated but functional. When there was a problem with the room were were immediately moved to a comparable room. The price was right.
- Lukas (8/5): - Hotel needs to be renovated. Big plus is the location near to center and to historical sites, by car. Need to get lucky to park your car in the street. Staff was amazing, really helped me to plan the trip and even helped me get a parking space in ghe street.
- Travis (10/5): - Nice view clean room friendly staff. Hotel is on a busy street with many food options within a block. Street parking only; no problem during the week but you may need to park up to a couple of blocks away on weekends. Good location for visiting Acrocorinth and other historical sites.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Heel vriendelijk onthaal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Mostly no issues checking in and out, but staff wouldn’t give us extra towels to go swim at the beach nearby. They were very cheap about the new clean hotels-seemed more concerned about saving money for that. Otherwise our stay was ok. Hotel elevator is very small, so we had to take two trips to get everything to our floor between my partner and I.
- LuisP998 (10/5): Very pleasant stay, first rate staff - We stayed at Ephira Hotel, Corinth, on the night of January 1st, 2020. Its location is very central, some minutes away on foot from Corinth's main square. Dimitri, the receptionist, welcomed us. He was incredibly friendly, charming, polite and helpful, probably the best, most professional receptionist I have ever met. When I made the reservation at this hotel, well in advance, I had asked him to reserve two very quite rooms for us; he managed to find them and we actually slept better that night than anywhere else in Greece. The following day he was anxious to know whether we had spent a good night.
On January 2 he did everything he could to find a car for us, as it was a holiday in Greece and we couldn't find any rent-a-car shops open; he phoned absolutely every single place in the city but to no avail. But he told us how to visit Ancient Corinth and the Isthmus by taxi and by public transport; thanks to him that day was amazing.
The breakfast was mainly a typical Greek one. We also enjoyed it a lot.
It was a pity that we only stayed there one night. We'll definitely go back to Corinth and to Ephira Hotel.
Thanks a lot, Dimitri!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Well located, at only 5 min walk from the harbor and several dinning options around. The best was the staff attention, Dimitri on the reception was very helpful and amicable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location right in centre with 5 minute walk to seafront, very helpful staff, rooms clean , private locked overnight parking across the road. Good value for money.
- Georgia (8/5): Overnight stay - Perfect location - can walk everywhere and close to connecting buses and trains for Athens, airport and Peloponnese. Hotel a bit dated but good. Needs chairs on the balcony- great view but nowhere to sit.
- Roger_1684 (10/5): Good central location - We were lucky to find this hotel in the centre of town, which served our needs very well. A typical hotel room, but the beds were very comfortable. There was aircon, a fridge, a small balcony overlooking the city of Corinth. The TV had BBC World news, an English language channel for a change! There was a shower cubicle rather than just a curtain (as we had recently on the Aegean Islands). Hot water and a shower head bracket (very important!) The staff allowed us to leave our bicycles in a secure location. A lift to all floors. A great breakfast included.
- fabiersm (4/5): Smoke smell - Just one night for buisness travel, very cheap hotel and good position.
When i m arrived at room the smoke cigarettes smell shocked me! Very unaffordable!
Very simple and poor breakfast.
- Wsoucy2 (10/5): 3 weeks in GREECE - Fine hotel for the price, good variety and quality on breakfast. Dimitri at the front desk was over the top helpful. Good location. Good restaurants and bakeries in the area. Ask Dinitris for recommendations.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Sehr zentrale Lage.
Ausstattung sehr alt,sehr enge Räumlichkeiten.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
- sarahg9580 (2/5): Worst hotel we’ve stayed in on our travels - The hotel is tired. Noise can be heard from TV’s in adjacent rooms. In two years of travelling this is the worst we’ve stayed in and when we mentioned this at reception we were ignored.
On the positive side the bed if small was comfy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - dirty, small, but good location, and nice breakfast
- Aliaksandr (6/5): The hotel is for short stay. - Stayed with friends for 1 night. The hotel has good location, placed in the center of Corinth on the one of the main street and this is the main plus of this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. All the equipment in the room worked as well. WiFi connection was good. The room was clean, but looked ancient, smelled noticeably stale and muggy. The room smelled of smoking, which was no surprise, given the presence of ashtray. The hotel is for short stay.
- skiouro (6/5): Not bad Not very good - Stayed with my wife for 1 night. Staff is really polite and beds are comfortable although they are quite short. Room was relatively clean it could be better and location is central. Good option for a city centre hotel.
- Ngosi (6/5): Not bad for the price - We arrived on Sunday afternoon in town and looked for a hotel.
This hotel was clean and functional. Nothing fancy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything in the room (typical size for a hotel room in Europe) worked. WiFi was good and stable.
Take the breakfast it is pretty large and cheap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Uitstekend hotel, voortreffelijke service!
- Joakim (8/5): Good location - Don't expect too much. But ok hotel in good location.
- Telkontar (4/5): Stale, Obsolete, Hotel - Had the misfortune of staying here in February on a business trip. The first impression is that the dark decor of the hotel is out of date in every way possible. The carpets are ancient and smell noticeably stale. The bedding is worn out. The sheets were white, but worn. Had a room on the noisy street side and every interior sound from the hallway comes through the door too. The stale smells was the worst thing about it. The rooms smelled of smoking, which was no surprise given the presence of ashtrays. The smell in the stairs down to the breakfast and lobby were even stronger and unpleasant in a musty, midlew sort of way.
Not sure why they show beach umbrellas since the beach is not nearby. Stay in another town if you can.
- lauriesP2031YE (6/5): Nice hotel at a budget price - We booked Ephira Hotel as a walk in (I wasn’t planning on visiting Corinth, but glad I did).
Typical Greek small hotel.
Location is central on one of the main streets so parking is “challenging”.
Staff were friendly.
Double room (€48) was average size with a good sized bathroom and shower. The room was clean but smelled of smoke (I find this a common theme around Greece).
Small balcony had ok views.
We didn’t eat at the hotel but there is an awesome bakery around the corner.
Nothing special but ok for those on a budget.
- AnaD793 (6/5): Very good hotel - Basic but confortable, clean and with friendly staff. It has a homely atmosphere and breakfast is good although there could be more fruit and veg. I recommend this hotel for a short stay! It is well located, it is close to the sea. The bar should be open at night but overall is very good value for money!
- yishais_12 (4/5): Worst hotel I slept in Greece - The only thing that it's best at his position in the city center, the rooms are small and smell bad, street noise enters the room, cleaning it is not the strong side of the place. I have no idea who gave this 3-star hotel, barely 1 star on my part I would give!
- Agriogatos (8/5): Fine for business travelers in city center - This hotel has nothing exceptional. It is located in city center, so is suitable for those travelling for business. Seaside is near for a walk by the sea. The hotel is very clean, the rooms rather small and the staff polite and helpful. Breakfast is average. As the whole experience is above average so is my opinion.
- marielouisen524 (8/5): Friendly - The friendly and helpful reception staff made this a very enjoyable stay. Hotel vey central, walking distance to city. Room rather small but very clean and tide. Breakfast nice with plenty of choice. The garden room downstairs was very nice and peaceful.
- wollaton_11 (4/5): decay - I have stayed in eight middle-market hotels in Greece in the last few weeks, and this was the worst. Small rooms, hideous decor, poorly equipped bathrooms, broken fixtures, a front desk that was completely hostile to helping me get some laundry done -- those are just a few of my complaints. Avoid!!
- 522riccardor (8/5): A good hotel in the centre of Corinthos - A modern hotel in the city centre, excellent location very close to bus stand (for Kanal-Isthmia and Ancient Korinthos) but far from railway station (if you come by train from Athens International Airport). Clean room and bathroom, elevator for upper floors. Good breakfast buffet with fresh fruits and a kit for self-made orange juice.
The only problem was the Wifi signal, which was weak in the room but good in the corridor and in common areas.
- Zezz (6/5): Handy for midnight check-in - We stayed at this hotel 1 night coming from the airport and driving all the way to Corinth.
This Hotel had a 24 hr desk so all we needed was to put our heads down and sleep the night before heading off the next morning.
It was ok and served it's purpose. Breakfast was ok too. Staff were polite.
- t4tigger (4/5): Overpriced - I was happy I only stayed one night here. The location was fine (very close to bus station), the reception staff was very helpful but I was very unimpressed with the room. The first thing I noticed was loose power outlets in the walls, which is never a good sign. The mini-fridge in the room was not plugged in. But even when I plugged it in, it did not work and it had a stale musty smell. When I opened up the drawers in the wardrobe they also had a terrible smell as though they had not been aired in months. The information sheet in the room said it was recently renovated. I can only assume that was printed a long time ago as the room was very tired and due for refreshing.
The room rate of 45 euro did not include breakfast and I didn't feel like paying extra if the quality of food was anything like the room. Luckily I found a nice bakery a couple of streets away for a coffee and cheese pie (I don't remember the name but it seemed to be popular with locals). Overall, I don't feel the standard of the accommodation was worth the price.
- Butterflygirl54 (8/5): Good Basic Hotel - We only spent 1 night here but our room was basic, clean and comfortable.
We were lucky to be able to park very close to hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Our room did not include breakfast so cannot comment on it.
Good value for money at this time of year. Recommend a room away from noisy street.
- judas_ate (4/5): jerk desk clerk ruined it - the price was right and the room clean.
fairly quiet at night, easy access to city.
in the morning, tried to use credit card to pay; clerk ran 2 credit cards proved to work in greece, said both were declined. he didn't even appear to be trying to run the cards.
denied having a room for the following night despite saying contrary before that.
