Guest Reviews
- Donald (10/5): - The hotel Riad Habib is a special place as well as Marrakech. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any of your needs. The owner was here hiring my stay and showed me around the Sooks in the Medina. So generous of him. Marrakech will capture your soul with its beauty and charm. And the Riad Habib will surely make you come back again. I can't say enough about having such a wonderful life experience here in Marrakech , and I will be back.
- Gail (7/5): We had a fair experience at this place. Throughout our four-day stay, we were served the same breakfast menu. We would - It was a comfortable stay.
- Manjit (9/5): Great service provided by Jamal - Friendly staff Difficult to find using google maps
- Richard (9/5): A great Easter holiday break - An oasis of calm right in the hustle and bustle of the markets. A great location right in the Souk and within easy reach of lots of tourist attractions. The accommodation was amazingly quiet given its central location and lovely and cool on hot days. The staff were lovely and accommodating, we had a great stay.
- Terufumi (10/5): - It may be a little hard to find, but it's quiet and peaceful.
- Faik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Satinder (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in 4 Riads during our stay and this was by far the best.
The manager Jamal was the reason this was our favourite place. He was on the ball with everything, brought us things even before we asked. Was up very early to cook the most delicious breakfast for us on 2 mornings when we needed to leave early for day trips. Brought us tea even at 10pm. He could not do enough for us. Very good natured and helpful and we had great conversations even with us not speaking French.
It is right in the heart of the Medina and in charming village like streets. A home rather than a hotel. Very comfortable and the terrace was stunning.
Najah gave us an excellent breakfast on the terrace and provided fresh towels on our return. We didn't have to ask for anything. They did it themselves.
It's peaceful, quiet and private with birds being the only sound. We loved it! Nothing. Everything was great.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Great location right in the heart of the action
Short walk to the square Nothing
- Elizabeth (7/5): Fantastic location but lacking a few luxury touches - Fantastic location lovely spacious suite and terrace There were a few details missing- a kettle and cups in the suite would have been welcome, breakfast rather basic compared to others we enjoyed in Morocco. Suite lacks electric sockets near the bed - ie charge your phone or have bedside light!
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property, welcoming staff and d fantastic breakfast. Great location, very near Jardin Secret.
Lovely terrace to look out over the city and up to the Atlas Mountains Nil
- Costa (10/5): Amanzing!! - Everything!! The staff the place, breakfast, so peaceful and homelike. Honestly a very warming experience. Recommend 100% Could have something in the bathroom, like bathroom utilities.
- Daljeet (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was very delicious and location was also nice. It is totally calm place to relax & sleep Street is narrow and it not accessible by car
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teri (5/5): Passable -
- Faik (10/5): Just had a lovely time staying at Ruad Habib, the hostess was so friendly and helpful, great vibe all around and the roo -
- Wendy (9/5): See above - Authentic riad in the middle of everything
Staff were amazing
Freshly cooked breakfast made for us on the rooftop Nothing
- Paul (7/5): Good - The Riad is in a good location within 3 minutes walk of the Moussaine Mosque and shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, although it should be noted that the owner is looking to sell the Riad. The room was spacious and the roof terrace a good place for breakfast, although it could do with some parasols for the loungers. Nothing much, although the listing states there is a fridge, which there isn't and although safe, there is no safe in the Riad.
- Notburga (7/5): We had to pay in Dirham with a daily rate and in the end we paid more than on booking.com confirmed. We paid finally 758 - Lage Preis und Bezahlung
- Chris (8/5): A wonderful introduction to a magical place - Our stay at Riad Habib was exceptional. The staff were pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable, the facilities very good, and the location was exceptional. When I asked for the address they sent me a note and a phone number, and told me to have our taxi driver call the number and he would get directions. This we did, and it all worked very well. The taxi driver made the call, then drove us to a gate in the medina wall. He then called a porter and repeated the instructions to him. The porter, a very elderly gentleman with a very elderly cart, took our luggage and set off. The taxi driver indicated we should follow him and our luggage which was disappearing at a remarkable rate. After many twists and turns we ended up at a large door in the wall of a tall building. The porter rang the bell, unloaded the luggage, was paid my me and went away. The door opened and we were greated and expected and soon ensconced in our home for the next 6 days. It was a wonderfully adventurous way to start our vacation, but make sure you have enough money to pay both the taxi and the porter - they don't give change!! Staying right in the middle of the medina is the only way to get a real feel of the city. My research into the exact nature of the Medina was lacking, so the 20 minute walk from where the taxi dropped us would have been impossible without the guidance of the porter who took our luggage. .
- David (10/5): Loved marrakech and loved the location - The breakfast is a little basic for my taste .cold bread jame yoghurt. Cold hard boiled egg Fruit. Local pancakes. Orange juice coffee mint tea. ( I'm sure some like this kind of breakfast) the room was big ( suite) and decorated in a traditional style. Location is great for exploring all the local attractions and all within walking distance. Breakfast could be a bit better . Warm bread warm eggs maybe local cheese meats ect. No coffee making facilities in room or mini fridge. Marrakech gets hot and lots of walking so would be nice to have either a coffee or cold drink when you get back to your room.
- Luigi (8/5): Overall a good experience - We were 4 couples who rented 4 rooms, 2 double and 2 suites. The suites were very nice and all the structure was very clean; the lady in charge of the room cleaning did a perfect job and she has always been very kind and sweet. Breakfast was always served on time and we could enjoy many varieties of food and a very good fresh orange juice every morning. We had one beautiful dinner on the terrace and I would recommend it for the beautiful sight, location and food (also price was reasonable, 15 Euro pp). Riad Habib is located in Medina but in a Derb which was silent and away from the caos of the main streets. I have been overcharged but as soon as I communicate this to the host he called me and immediately reimbursed the difference > very good service The Yasmina double room was cold and very humid and it did not have any heating so it was very difficult to sleep in it. Nobody in the Riad was able to speak English so it was very difficult to communicate (we have been lucky since one of us was able to speak French but we have not been informed in advance of this difficulty). I personally had a hard time relating to the gentleman who has welcomed us and who has shown in one occasion little politeness. Wi-Fi was not always working properly.
- Anne (8/5): Very good - The kind and helpful hosts.
