- Sightsee08298320963 (10/5): Great stay at HICV Hill Country Resort - Have no fear if you're planning to stay here in the coming weeks. We just returned from a great 4 day and night stay at HICV's Hill Country Resort at Canyon Lake. Excellent accommodations in a 2BR-2Bath villa with a full kitchen. Brookshire Brothers grocery store is very close by and convenient. Enjoyed lounging at their pool and hot tub, playing mini-golf and ping pong, taking the short drives to nice hikes at Canyon Lake Gorge ($5/person) and the lake's dam, Canyon Park Drive, Madrone Trail and its pollinator garden. Had good dinners at nearby Italian Garden and Guadalajara restaurants. Day trip to downtown San Antonio to visit the Alamo and other Spanish mission historic sites just south of town, then strolled the famous River Walk. The nice gentleman who checked us in at registration told us this resort will be shutting down in late December and HICV will put it on the market for sale. It will interesting to see if another timeshare company acquires it, or if all of its buildings are converted to condos for sale and/or apartments for rent.

I expected daily 'room fresh' take used towels/trash. make the bed (not change) only 2 coffee pkts. I had to call and ask for more. I got the coffee but no cream/sugar. was I expected to use 2 towels/1 wash cloth for 4 days? Little things are appreciated!

- Chad (4/5): - Not worth the money. Rooms are outdated and loud. There are no sidewalks around some of the units, so not ADA friendly. If you want to walk anywhere you are walking on the side of the road. Price value for what you get is not worth it. Checkin staff said property is going up for sale, so maybe improvements will come along.

- Ronald (8/5): Great place to stay - We stayed in a one bedroom villa for our anniversary for three days. The room, (more like an apartment) was great. It was clean and very well kept. It was well stocked with everything, pots, pans, baking ware, dishes, plates, and silverware. The kittchen appliances were either new or very well cared for. It appeared to be either new or newly remodeled. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. Great parking right outside our building with an elevator to take you to the four floors. We ate in the cafe one evening, they had good food and lots of choices.

- Miranda (8/5): Big place for little money - When we booked we didn't know we were getting a full setup: kitchen, living room, dining room. The site didn't say the type of bed we would get and we thought we would get 2 queens but it was 1 king. The bathroom floor has a large soft spot and crack. We notified management and were given the opportunity to move. We didn't as it was just a few nights. The pool area was super nice and clean. We saw there were activities offered but we didn't use them as we just needed a place to crash at the end of the day. Having the full kitchen was super nice. Price per night was amazing for what we received. We would totally stay here again and would have family and friends stay here too. Super close to everything and a great place.

- Kelly (10/5): Great place for the $$ - Our family stayed in a villa with a kitchen, living area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was really nice to be able to put the kids to bed, but not have to go to bed at the same time. Also really nice to have the option to cook at the hotel instead of always dining out. We had a view of the lake, and a patio. Loved having options for onsite activities like the multiple pools, mini golf, etc. Ae did one day trip to visit the Alamo and a second to go to Schlitterbahn. We will definitely be back to visit Jacob’s well and the white water amphitheater and maybe to go tubing at the river. Some of the decor choices were a little mismatched, but I don’t really care about that. The kitchen knives were in a drawer that my 5 year old could reach so we had to immediately move those. It also would have been nice to have more than one regular coffee in the room. But again really comfortable place for my family - highly recommend!

The tub was so durty we couldnt run the jets. Because old dirt and hair and other crap was coming out of the jets. It was very nasty. The floors and everything were nothing like the pictures. I was very disappointed that the whole reason we booked there was for the jazzi and couldn't even use it.

However, the villa was fantastic and the check-in a great experience. We received several follow-up text messages to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. Check out was also simple; just sent a text message telling staff when we left and let them know the room was available to clean. Would defiantly recommend this establishment for vacations or extended stays.

- Crystal (8/5): Nice location and very family friendly. - The activities and amenities are very accommodating for a relaxing family getaway. Toilets were very small and low.
- Linossier (8/5): Séjour de quelques jours - Le logement était très chaleureux, l'accueil très bien , Sam était super ! Les piscines sont incroyables. Nous n'avons pas pu aller dans le lac malheureusement mais Hill Country était vraiment un super endroit où séjourner.
- Bethany (10/5): A much needed rest with family fun. - Everything. We stayed in the other side of the main road and I loved there was a pool by the apartments. We wished we had more the 3 days here.
