Rafi at the front desk was GREAT and started our stay on a high note. Also, the bars at this hotel are fantastic with really good drinks. The bartender at the lobby bar (can’t remember her name but she is from Long Island) recommended some different drinks and they didn’t disappoint…she’s an excellent bartender.
- M-and-C-loving-life (8/5): Huge Room, A Bit Musty Smelling Bathroom - We stayed here before a cruise. The staff was mostly friendly. The room we had was a corner, which felt like a suite. We didn't have a problem with noise. We had a kitchenette, a couch, and plenty of unused open space. The bathroom was equally large. However, the walk-in shower was placed so far into the long bathroom and lacked a strong vent to pull moisture from the air. This must be the reason why the bathroom smelled a bit musty. I also disliked the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner scents. The elevators were a bit tricky to understand at first. They should tell you how to operate them with or without your keycard.

Rafi G has an amazing energy that made the check-in process feel more welcoming than a routine transaction. The next day we met Devania at the front desk! She is so knowledgeable, understanding and helpful! She took the time to walk us through everything, again, and with patience. (I can’t remember anything, so her patience was greatly appreciated!) In addition to the awesome front desk staff, we met my favorite bar tender so far, Alexandra! She is a true mixologist… they don’t carry something I was looking for, and she somehow created a similar beverage that was delicious! And! As you may have guessed it, she also had a great, welcoming and energetic persona. Overall, everyone’s friendly demeanor and fun personalities made a lasting impression! I can't wait to return for my next visit! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service.

I travel a great deal for work, and stay in dozens of hotels each year. Without question, Rafi was THE best representative and face for this property. I was approached by a female worker on the first floor on my second night's stay, and she stopped my daughter and I from going on the elevator to ask what floor we were going to. I told her the 9th floor, and this is our second night staying, and we have a key. It was not a problem in asking. I was just uncomfortable because there were other guest walking through the lobby, and she did not stop them. The valet guys were friendlier.

- Tht_Queen_B (6/5): No Beach, Basic, No Frills - Let me start off by saying I’m a brand loyalist and know the standard. We recently stay here. I have platinum status and was offered a higher floor but all the other perks were useless because everyone gets breakfast. The location is convenient yet off the beaten path. They offer a shuttle to the beach but runs at inconvenient times. I don’t recommend this location if you want to stay at the beach. The hotel was very modern and well built. The rooms are small but have an efficient use of the space. A nice touch was the cool towels and cold cucumber water at the entrance. The valet team was always helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a non luxury basic and clean accommodation with no frills, I recommend staying here depending on the price.

- ruil987 (10/5): Wonderful weekend getaway for couples - My partner and I had indeed an amazing stay at the Element/Dalmar hotel and were very impressed by the amenities and services at the property. Honestly, I used to be very hesitant to book a hotel with destination fees, but I have to say Element/Dalmar have changed my view on that, as we were so well pampered by the services and amenities included such as the frequent beach shuttle, beach chairs, umbrella at the Ritz Carlton beach front, not to mention the towels and chilled water prepared for the guests at the beach are among many things we appreciate. we booked the Canal studio which was very spacious which a massive bathroom and nice view and balcony. Renatalia at the reception has been so patient with me whenever I have questions or in need of scheduling the shuttle to the beach. She also generously offered my cookie-monster partner cookies as she noticed he was searching for the cookies at the check-in counter. We also very much enjoyed the Lounge Bar on the 6th floor multiple times and spent much longer time than we expected to sip our drink on the comfortable couch while having our conversations in the relaxing atmosphere. When we come back to Fort Lauderdale again, we definitely would like to stay there again, maybe on the Dalmar floors for a change. Stacy is the sweetest front desk staff I have ever come across, very helpful and always greets me by name! I also want to give a special shoutout to Andy, the assistant front office manager, he is a truly an outstanding person and so genuine, really cares for the guests and always helps me with all my requests. Every time I come I pass by the 6th floor to see him and he always smiling. Been coming to this hotel for the past five years and I always feel like family. Highly recommend

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to las olas blvd, there’s a nice pool on the roof top, lots of little perks at the hotel and amazing staff and management, which is why I’m writing the updated review. I encountered an issue this stay but I’m not the type to complain so I was just going to let it go. I received an email from Carlos Salazar, area mss as managing director, just checking on my satisfaction with the hotel. I decided I’d mention the issue I had. I received a response from Carlos almost immediately apologizing for the issue. The next day when this issue was not resolved I thought I’d update him to let him know. Not only did he immediately respond again but he had the manager of the property, Alexander, seek me out to discuss with me and he followed up with me. The manager explained to me what was going on to cause the issue and offered me a very fair compensation for my troubles. I appreciate their attention and the way this was all handled so professionally. I would stay here again in a heartbeat next time my travels bring me to Fort Lauderdale.

- patriciagP9708FN (6/5): Great location, but needs improvement on customer service. - The hotel is in a great location and offers great amenities but many times they are not available or the staff is not able to help with accessing them. Bath towels were worn, torn, and stained. Also, we asked for extra towels several times and never received them. When checking in, we were told to go to the first floor for a welcome drink. We gave the employee our room number, but was charged $38 for two single servings of champagne. Finally, we spoke to Nick at the front desk who helped us. The welcome drink was actually on the third floor. It seemed that the employees were not knowledgeable about the amenities to be able to help you. There is a bus shuttle to the beach. We signed up at the front desk for the 10 AM shuttle. We were there at 10:01 and the shuttle had already left. We asked the valet about the shuttle and he just said you wait here. He never told us it left until my 3rd inquiry. After asking, he called the shuttle driver who came back to get us. Nick, front desk, & Vinny,valet, were so helpful & professional. They went above and beyond.

- RDG66 (10/5): Very nice overnight experience! - We have been trying different hotels in Fort Lauderdale for years so as to find just one nice one to stay at when we cruise. Finally we found one! This hotel experience was nearly perfect. Room was outstanding with only one minor complaint, the bathroom sink faucet pressure was pathetic. Only a problem when rinsing a razor. Otherwise a perfect room. The elevators are touch screen reserved, which is odd. And they changed a $25 destination fee, which always irritates everyone. But they do allow you to use that $25 for items when you first arrive, which is better than nothing. Anyway, it's not perfect, but close. And in Fort Lauderdale, that's impressive!

- Y8622EAdawnj (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - I stayed here for 2 nights prior to a cruise. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed me stay at the hotel. The first day I was there the temp in Ft Lauderdale was in the 40's so I didn't leave the hotel. It warmed up the next day and I ventured out. It was a quick walk to Las Olas Blvd where I spent time looking in all the shops and was able to get the Lauder Go shuttle down to the beach. I understand the hotel also has a free shuttle but I didn't make use of it. The pool looked inviting but because of the cold weather that wasn't an option. My room was comfortable and spacious and for longer stays there was a full sized refrigerator and an area where you could cook. All of the staff I encountered was helpful and friendly. I arrived at the hotel around 2 pm and they had a room all ready for me upon check in. The only thing that wasn't the best was the breakfast, yes, it was free so I'm not really complaining but I've had much better at similar hotels. The $25 resort fee I used to buy lunch in the restaurant and that was good. I will be back to go on another cruise in 3 weeks and I look forward to staying at the Element again.
- chipperjones10-half (2/5): Most expensive cheap hotel - This is the most expensive cheap hotel I've ever stayed in. I booked a 1-bedroom suite at over $300 per night at this property because we need sound separation for a family of four. We checked in and the floor in the living area and the bathroom had stuff all over it that we could feel on our feet and our feet were dirty. The room was re-cleaned. However, there was no door over the opening between the living room and the bedroom as the pictures for the room on the hotel website showed. Therefore, I had to rent another "discounted" regular hotel room for the price of an additional $199 per night (including the $25 per night destination fee) to get the sound separation we should have had. I should have been given two regular hotel rooms for the price of what I paid for the suite given the deception on the website. I would never have rented at this property if there was no sound separation in the room. The flooring in these rooms is extremely cheap. The carpet is cheap and very thin and uncomfortable. The hard flooring is so cheap that it is coming up and separating from the sub floor so that in places where you step, there is air between the flooring and the sub floor. It is the same in both rooms on different floors so it is a property issue, not a room issue. The food in the 6th floor lounge was good but service was not. The outdoor pool is very small but nice. The beds were comfortable. The suite is the weirdest layout and waste of space for a hotel room. There is no storage in the bedroom for clothing, just a bed and side tables and TV. It feels like the room was undone. There were holes in the furniture and bedding. In our regular hotel room, a previously-used bar of soap was left in the room from a previous guest. Also in that room, one half of the mirror lighting in the bathroom was inoperable and the toilet paper holder would not stay latched. All of those items would have been obvious to housekeeping during their cleanings. Do not pay the price this hotel charges for this property - it is not a good value for your money. You can stay at the beach for the same price.

- julielI2147MK (2/5): Dirty hotel - Woke up to discover a bloodstain on my sheet. Housekeeping changed all of the bedding and provided “fresh” towels, one of which I used right away. As I hung the towel to dry, I noticed what looked to be a mascara stain on the towel and I do not wear makeup. The toilet paper holder was broken so every time we used the bathroom, the TP would fall off. Tried to make tea in the room but the mini Kurig didn’t even work. Nice people work there but it is not a clean hotel!

Staff are very kind. especially Elanda, who's a foody and gives us a ton of good suggestions. Breakfast is good enough to start a day, with coffee and fruits. Evening time, they have happy hour and tea time, which is great for the end of the day thing.

Will not return!

Had to speak with a manager who finally found us another room big enough (for a family of four) because originally we were told we were getting just a standard 2 queen bed room. Got to the room and turns out “1 bedroom” means a wide opening between the bed and the sofa bed - as in, no privacy at all. Only after waking up in the morning did my husband try to make up the bed and we saw that on the flip side of the pillow I had already slept on were multiple spots of dried blood. Looked like it had been washed and someone tried to bleach it but then housekeeping had just flipped it around and put it right back on the bed. Checking out took about 35 mins just to drop off our bags because 1 couple was in front of us, had many questions, and only 1 person was working. We won’t be back.

The breakfast was a surprise, had forgotten it was included in the stay. It was very nice, with many options and a bright cheerful eating area. The bar served a great mimosa! Details of the light fixtures, furnishings and decor were luxurious and stood out from other places we have stayed.
