• Bas (10/5): - Great location with great facilities. The highlight is definitely the family here. Super friendly and welcoming! The home brewed rice wine should be a local tourist attraction. Basically a must stay place!! The place exceeded my expectations. Nothing to dislike.

• Gudrun (10/5): - The extremely nice family! We stayed at the Golden Lantern at a very special day: it was the first day of the lunar new year (Tet). This is the most important festival in the year, celebrated privately with the family. Most shops and restaurants are closed, so we were a bit concerened how this would affect us as tourists. But in the Golden Lantern, there was no need to be concerened. This is a real "homestay". We were welcomed warmely and treated almost like we were family members. The new year dinner with the family was cheerful and delicious. The room was spacious, quiet and cosy. From the upper floor, there is a view to the nearby sea. Just a few minutes to walk. Wonderful location for a few relaxing days at the beach!

• Mark (10/5): Exceptional - I have enjoyed several homestays while traveling in Vietnam. All were positive experiences, but this one was extra special thanks to the authentic welcoming spirit of the host family. They several times invited me to join them for their family meal, and even included me in a family picnic! Several family members speak English, which was a big plus for me, but even those who did not speak English made me feel welcome. Watch out for Grandfather's excellent quality homemade liqueur if he happens to offer it! To be clear, even though they were happy to include me, I always had as much privacy as I wanted. I also loved the spirit of the Golden Lantern itself. It was both a vibrant family home, but also an 11-room hotel that seemed to whisper of long-past childhood beach holidays. On a practical level, they assisted me with such things as motorbike rental, transport services to the train station, etc. All good.
• Piper (10/5): Felt like home at the Golden Lantern - We loved this sweet little Homestay. We stayed for one night on our journey down the coast and wish we had a couple more days there! The room was big, clean, and comfortable, with AC to cool us down. The hosts were incredibly kind and cooked us a delicious dinner that we ate at the table with the whole family while drinking homemade liquor. It was right on the edge of the little town, a two minute walk from the “downtown” and beach. We loved the laid back, local feel of the village as a whole and would be happy to return to Golden Lantern in the future, and next time, for longer!

• Forever (10/5): Great Homestay - The kind and hospitable host family. They treat you the member of the family instantly. I owe a lot to their generosity. None. The swimming season is from June to September in the Central Vietnam.
• Harry (10/5): A perfect place to stay - This beautiful house has the most welcoming family. The room was lovely and it was a short walk to the beach. The dinner was delicious. I definitely want to return one day!

• Barry (10/5): Just wonderful - Just wonderful. We chose this place because it's not in the main cluster of homestays, so it's more quiet, private and peaceful. Still very close to the beach and local market. The communal area has many little nooks, and the room was clean, cosy and well-equipped (with toiletries, hairdryer, AC, fan, a safe and other small details that made the stay really comfortable)

• Nigel (10/5): Exceptional - I booked a dorm and they gave me a private room with own bathroom: fan, aircon at no extra charge the bed was soft the room was cosy and wall designed and had a nice cosy relaxing nightlight. Got tea and fruits in the morning. Im bicycle packing/touring and it was on my route. Its a proper hidden Gem⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The youth who checked me in was very polite and spoke great English and the rest of the family were friendly as well as the locals. It was my Favorite stay in Vietnam so far. The fact i could only stay one night. Wish i could have stayed longer

• Milica (10/5): Best homestay experience of my life - I wouldn't even know where to start. Trang and her family are among the most welcoming people I have ever met - they really made me feel like a part of their family - especially during a delicious dinner we have shared together. On top of that, the homestay is so beautiful and cozy. My room was so home-like that it transferred me back to my childhood. And lastly, I arrived at the homestay very early in the morning, around 5:30. And yet, Trang was waiting for me and was ready to check me in immediately (for no additional charge) even though my check in wasn't before 13:30. You don't get this kind of treatment anywhere except home! Absolutely NOTHING negative to say. The only regret I have is staying here for one night only. However, I will surely come back!

Great to be in a family home . We asked if there was a restaurant that did vegetarian food and they cooked for us and ate with us. It was just so lovely and the food was delicious. In the morning just as we were about to leave (we are cycling through Vietnam) they gave us a cup of tea and sticky rice. They wouldn’t accept any money for dinner or breakfast. So genuine. Nothing

When we arrived they welcomed us with tea and fruit, and asked us to join there family dinner, which was super tasty. Rooms where very clean with a soft bed and a hot shower. Homestays like these really make you experience the Vietnamese culture, it’s so special. 🥰 Thank you so much for having us, we hope to come back! ❤️
• Duong (10/5): Great home, great location - Great family, great food. You would feel as you are treated as a family member. Cute house with books and various types of local decoration items. The sky is widely open. You may have a feeling that there is no vision boundary set by the ground, because there is no tall building around. The sea is relatively transparent. Enjoy!
