Gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Das Badezimmer ist etwas abgewohnt. Das Frühstück wurde uns auf Wunsch frisch lokal zubereitet und war sehr lecker.

• Irmgard (9/5): Empfehlenswert - Wunderschöner Innenhof mit bemaltem Treppenaufgang und super nahe zum Strand. Sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber, sobald man sich im Innenhof gesetzt hat, wurde der Ventilator eingeschaltet. Ich hatte 1 Nacht zu viel gebucht, statt 3 Nächte 4. Gleich nach Ankunft habe ich um Stornierung der 4. Nacht gebeten, wurde mir nicht gewährt.

• dagmar (10/5): Gute Strandlage mit freundlichen Personal und sauberen Zimmern. - Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und zugewandt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und das Frühstück lecker. Der Strand direkt hinterm Haus.
• Nicola (9/5): Gut gelegene einfache Unterkunft - Sehr gute Lage in ruhiger Nebenstraße, nur ca. 20 m von Strand entfernt, und in die andere Richtung nur wenige Meter zur Hauptstraße mit Restaurants und Shops. Großes Zimmer, und wir durften unser TukTuk im Hof parken. Gut geeignet um anzukommen. Wir hatten um Abholung vom Flughafen gebeten, das hatte leider nicht geklappt. War kein großes Problem, da gut selbst zu organisieren. Das Bad ist einfach, aber ok.

Compared to other establishments, the beds were good. As everywhere in Sri Lanka, you only get sheets, no blankets. We didn't ask for them, though, so maybe they were available. The room was exceptionally clean, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even offered me a late checkout for a small extra fee, which was a huge help since I had to leave for the airport at 3:00 PM. I truly appreciated their hospitality and attention to detail. Just 20 minute tuck tuck drive away from airport. Highly recommend!

• Caroline (8/5): Very good - This is a clean and comfortable guest house in a very good location for the beach, for shops and restaurants and it's an easy journey from the airport. There are very nice areas for outside seating. There is hot water in the sink - which is very unusual in Sri Lanka - and in the shower. There is a mop for keeping the bathroom dry which is very helpful. The staff are very helpful. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room.

• Sophie (9/5): The perfect and convenient short stay! - This is the perfect stay if you’re flying in and need to stay somewhere close to the airport. Not only did they organise an airport pickup for me at 1am (even when my flight was delayed) they welcomed me into my room with a cold bottle of water. The staff are very lovely and I felt very safe the whole time as a female solo traveller. The breakfast was also great and highly recommend getting it if you’re jet-lagged and don’t feel like making a decision! The owner also drove me to the ATM to get rupees which was very nice.

Wifi not stable if one needs it often. - Location near the beach, Wifi: often problems with connection, wanted to take a shower around 5 pm because I had to go to the airport around 6 pm - less than half of the guest house was booked (!!!), but the owner wanted me to pay a half day -->really not very accomodation/flexible. At the end I met some nice compatriots of the guest house next door, where I was welcome to take a shower for free :-). Flexibility of the owner.... A/C was always very cold, even when I set it up to 25 or more degrees C- I took my winter jacket as a supplementary cover.

False advertisement - they do not accept credit cards and they provide breakfast without telling you it costs, only after do they say it's 4USDs. The breakfast is not nearly worth that. The staff is great and location is good but did not appreciate the management. I can still recommend the place, just be aware of the $ situation. The room is still good value.

Go for A/C if you get the corner room in the sun on the first floor. Nice rooftop for exercise during sunset. Cosy atmosphere and located in between the best restaurants Zen Cafe and Zen Beach Restaurant. Planta was also great. Internet was the best I had in a long time. Cash payment (the real deal). 15-20 mins to the airport. Owner speaks English well and spent some time in Germany in his early days. We will certainly be back. Very recommended. Mosquitoes can be a challenge. Water pressure & toilet flush could be better. Polyester towels which lose micro plastic fibre. No shelf in the bathroom. Instead of a closed cupboard a clothes rack of sun bleached drift wood would do. Also good for the air circulation. The mosquito nets are so small meshed that you hardly feel the fan. Forget the beach for swimming... (not the guesthouse's fault ;-)) The neighbor's music can be annoying.

I chose rooms with electric fan,it’s no problem for me as it’s in October.the cost is very affordable. There are lights on the ceiling,but I hope they could be replaced with small LED light near the table in the future.it can be much brighter,also can save more energy than traditional lighting .
• Ladislav (10/5): One of the original guesthouses in Negombo, meticulously kept and looked after - A little gem of a guesthouse in Negombo area. I loved everything about it. The best place in terms value during my 3.5 weeks stay in Sri Lanka (I stayed in 7 places in total). The place is quiet and dreamy, its low-key feel gives you the needed rest after/before your flight. About 49 seconds from the beach. The Sea Joy Fish Curry place is seconds away too. I also very much appreciated our talks with the owner - a cosmopolite and well-travelled local gentleman. I'd definitely stay here again - should I be returning to Lanka. Pity I could not stay extra two nights, that would have been great : )

We stayed here on our arrival in Sri Lanka and now again for our last few days. Perfect. Within a stone's throw from the beach in a quiet area. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and helpful in regards to our travel enquiries. The breakfast we had there was delicious. Such a beautiful ambient building as well and we loved sitting on the spacious balcony. Perfect for both times we stayed. All was great.

• Jennifer (9/5): Immaculate - What a wonderful introduction to the quality of guesthouses in Sri Lanka. It has set the mark and exceeded expectations. Exceptionally clean and well set up room.The lovely cleaning lady needs to be commended for her diligence in keeping the whole villa spotless. We loved sitting on the spacious balcony and then only needing to walk about 20m to the beach and a restaurant next door. Great location. Will be back before we fly home. All good.
