Guest Reviews
- Roxana (10/5): - Wonderful location and even more wonderful host, he showed me the neighborhood and arranged for airport transportation, will definitely stay there again Nothing that I can think of
- Aquelmae (10/5): - Staying with Joe was great. I appreciate the service he gave me throughout since he was always so helpful
- Street (10/5): -
- P. G. (10/5): Great place to stay in Lima - Joseph is a great host! He took very good care of our safety and gave us great tips and a tour with his car.
- Anonymous (10/5): We felt very welcome and had a great experience. - Our host Joseph was very welcoming and helpful. He even took us on a tour of the neighbourhood so we could get orientated. He gave us lots of advice about places to eat and visit. The accommodation was in a great location which was quiet and safe with a beautiful park. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Nothing
- Sahil (10/5): Exceptional - Joseph was an amazing host! Went above and beyond in making sure I felt welcome and giving me recommendations for great local spots for food/ drinks (including a 10 minute tour of Lima in his car which turned into 4 hours!). The rooms were also very cozy. Can't recommend it enough for making the most of your time in Lima.
- Darinka (10/5): Excellent - This accommodation is ideally situated for birdwatching at the Olive Gardens and is within walking distance of major sites in San Isidro and Miraflores. Our host was exceptionally kind, making us feel as though we were staying with friends. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All good.
- Ramil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juliana (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect. Joseph is an amazing host, very kind, helpful and a trustful person. The room is big, very comfy with a good and big bed. The location is perfect, in the middle of the Bosque el Olivar, where is peaceful and is a beautiful place in San Isidro and you can walk to Miraflores easily or take an Uber. We stayed there twice in the same trip (meanwhile we went to Huaraz) and it was the best decision we made of changing the second hotel in the middle of our trip.
- Seo (10/5): Lovely stay in El Olivar! - Joseph was the most attentive host I have ever had- from communicating before I even landed in the country, to staying awake to greet me and even taking me for a drive around town to show me the local places. He had every need considered in the rooms from drinks stocked up in the fridge to all the toiletries in the bathrooms, and during breakfast he always came to chat and engage with his guests. Thank you so much Joseph! Everything was perfect!
- Rimma (10/5): Exceptional - If you want four in one: a very nice apartment, a delicious varied breakfast, a great location, and a friendly atmosphere, you should stay at B&B El Olivar. The owner, Joseph, is a smiling, friendly, and extremely attentive man. On the first day, he kindly drove us around San Isidro to familiarize us with the area. The next day, my husband felt sick. Joseph took us to the hospital, helped us communicate with doctors, and sort out insurance issues. We felt so comfortable under his care that we decided to stay with him for a few more days. We had wonderful impressions not only from Lima but also from communicating with a pleasant and interesting person who knows the history of Peru.
- Sueli (10/5): I highly recommend B&B El Olivar. I enjoy every day - The location is fantastic, very calm, green and very safe.
The staff was cheerful, available, participative, providing all the necessary information about the city, restaurants, museums, etc. Everything at B& B El Olivar was good and pleasant.
I enjoy every day
- Fernando (10/5): Best! - Everything! No complaints
- Victor (9/5): One night stay at a lovely house in a great area in very central Lima. - The host was extremely friendly and offered us help with driving us around the area. The location of the house is lovely, in the middle of a very nice park. The breakfast was delicious too! everything was great.
- Anonymous (10/5): Amazing place, great location, a home away from home - Excellent location, great breakfast with fresh fruits, ham and cheese, coffee and assorted breads. Not to forget fresh juice of your choice!
Great rooms, with own A/C, mini bar stocked with yogurt, water, sports drinks, beer, etc. I was told all is restocked on a daily basis at no additional cost!
Given this B&B has about 4 or 5 rooms only, you get the personal attention from owner Joseph Berry which makes the experience second to none. Nothing really.
- Marlea (10/5): Amazing B&B with incredibly thoughtful host! - Everything was amazing at Joseph's B&B! He was helpful from the very beginning, long before we even arrived. He helped us reserve our airport pickup and gave us recommendations for where to eat in the city (the places he recommended were fantastic!). He truly thought of every last detail at the property itself, far more than I ever expect at any hotel. I loved the location and the breakfast was fantastic. I truly can't say enough good things about this place, stay here if you come to Lima and want to feel at home! Everything was great, I have no complaints at all
- Agnes (10/5): I recommend!! - Joe does all he can for you to enjoy your stay.
- Cesar (10/5): Perefef - Great location
Quiet neighborhood- walking distance to shop and restaurants
good size rooms
- Scott (10/5): Incredible value and service! - The B&B El Olivar was fantastic. The room was clean and well appointed, the location of the B&B was nice, and most of all Joseph was a fantastic host. He was very helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Joseph even helped us out on our return trip through Lima when we had a very long layover but weren't staying overnight. If you travel to Lima and want to stay in San Isidro, I heartily recommend B&B El Olivar.
- Bobby (8/5): - It's a bit of a funny story. I was going to visit Peru after an absence of 11 years. I wanted to have dinner with a family and I asked the lady to recommend a hotel to me. She said there was a nice hotel, El Tovar, near her home. I went straight to the internet, found a hotel with a similar name, and booked it through Expedia. The next morning when she failed to show up to have breakfast with me, I called her and she was waiting for me at the other hotel. The owner and manage, Joseph, was so nice to me that when I returned to Lima on my way back to the USA, I stayed there again, this time intentionally. It's an older hotel and could do with some upgrades but Joseph and his staff make up for any deficiencies. I'd stay there again without any hesitation. Right across the street is a lovely park like area where people are strolling along or sitting on park benches. Sound good? Try it the next time you're in Lima.
- Jim (4/5): Excellent service and locación!!! - Great host, excellent location inside a park with lots oficina trees.
- Jim (10/5): Great service and beautiful location - Had an excellent experience, hotel located un a park with lots oficina trees
- CeCe (10/5): Nice place! - I rally liked how the place felt like home. I mean, I was relaxed. Going to hotel is ok but I never feel fully comfortable. The room was very clean and the staff were fabulous. They were so nice and were "johnny on the spot" when I needed anything. Location is excellent! Safe and walking distance to many places. I even liked walking to the grocer that was not in the neighborhood because it was so much fun to look at the area. The B&B has these awesome rusty red marble floors that you see as soon as you come in. They have an enclosed patio that is so nice to have breakfast in. Large TVs and internet were also great. I requested fruit and fresh breads with American coffee for breakfast and it was wonderful. It was classy yet comfortable. Host was extremely knowledgable and lots of fun. The place itself sits in a grove of olive trees started by the original Spaniards over 500 years ago.
