• Meaghan (9/5): - We were a group of 5 staying in three rooms. The location is fantastic for easy visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum tours. Also close to fabulous restaurants and easy walk to town centre.The beds were really comfortable and our little verandah was nice to sit on in the afternoon in May. Bonus cats to say hello to in the yard. Very clean rooms, excellent air-conditioning with good shutters. The showers are quite small and no shelf in them so we struggled to reach shampoo/soap. We did have a cold shower once or twice (old pipes to be expected). Maybe a small bar fridge would be nice and a kettle in the room, although there was access to one in the hallway.

• Wes (3/5): First impression is bad - The outside of this "hotel" is decrepit and resembles a dumping ground. That said, we looked to go up to our room, slowly due to our disability. Two cats were immediately in front of us outside the door. My wife has a bad allergy to cats so we couldn't enter. We left and booked a new hotel. The photos of the outside area are misleading. I cannot comment on any other aspects due to the first impression being so negative.

• Sue (4/5): Enjoyable mainly because of location - Location was excellent, room was clean. No tea/coffee making facilities in room (in hallway, but no milk), no fridge in room. One glass only in bathroom. Bed sheets did not fit properly. Breakfast not included, but advertises as "B&B"
• JOHN (7/5): Adequate basic hotel in a great safe location for access to the Pompeii ruins and public transport. - Great location for visiting Pompeii ruins - 3 minutes walk to the main entrance after collecting tickets. Getting to Herculaneum required a walk to Pompeii station - about 25 minutes - and a 30 minute train ride with change of train. My room was a good size with balcony with ruins visible beyond trees. Many restaurants within 10 - 25 minutes walk of varying quality and menus. Predominantly pasta/pizza but also steak and seafood (live!) Prices for one person with one main course and drinks 25 - 45 Euros. Although the hotel was on quite a busy main road, the room was quiet once the windows were closed tightly. The bed was comfortable. There was a kettle and tea bags available in the corridor, which I found by accident. On a couple of days sweet bread rolls were available. A seafood place very close to the hotel which had aspirations which were not quite met refused to serve me tap water - this cost them a tip. The 'amuse bouche' did not compensate for this. (not a comment about the hotel) The hotel was not staffed during the day which made it feel clinical and impersonal, though the owner was contactable by Whatsapp - as long as my phone battery did not die! Breakfast was very mediocre, but adequate given the price of the room. Access in the evening required a code on the main gate and rooms corridor - be very careful to remember this code! The shower was warm but not powerful enough. A USB power outlet would be useful.
• Mina (10/5): Perfect choice! - We made a perfect choice staying here! It is just a couple of minutes away from the Pompeii entrance which is why we chose this place, but it was also a quick drive to the town. The rooms were great and very spacious. Owners are very helpful and communication was fast and easy. Even though we checked out in the morning, they were okay with us leaving the car in the parking for hours until we finished our tour of Pompeii. We would recommend this place to everyone!

Almost directly across the street from the entrance to the ruins of Pompei and a wonderful restaurant right next door! Also beautiful artwork lined the halls and in the room that was painted by one of the owners! Aesthetically and comfort ability my favorite place we stayed on our trip! Wish we could have stayed longer. All was great! We had a lot of bags and there are stairs but only one floor so not too bad.

• KENNKENNKENNKENN (8/5): - 自助入住幾方便，有隻貓幾可愛。走廊好多掛畫，門口也掛彩虹旗，感覺是FLINTA友善。 很方便，和兩個車站距離也相若，大約走十多分鐘，很易找。 和龐貝古城其中一個入口也很近，很方便！ 床夠大夠軟！房間也夠大。和鄰房朋友第1晚在房間3人聊天也舒服。 這邊晚上回來感覺也很安全

• Elisabetta (9/5): Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt mit Hund, alles top gelegen und bequem - Tolles Hotel in perfekter Lage! Mein Zimmer war gross, sauber und hatte einen schönen Balkon. Ich war mit Hund und Auto dort, alles problemlos. Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Der Eingang zu den Ausgrabungen und der Bus zum Vesuv sind nur ca. 50 m entfernt. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme gerne wieder!

• Eva (8/5): - Sehr nette Unterkunft, liebe Leute, gute Information, immer per whatsapp erreichbar, Haus sehr sauber. Die Zimmer sind schön ruhig, ich hab mich wohl und sicher gefühlt - war allein unterwegs. Außenjalousien und Klimaanlage. Die Lage ist zur Besichtigung Pompeis großartig, zum nächsten Eingang (Anfiteatro) 3 Minuten zu Fuß, zum Bahnhof Pompei (Pompei Scavi Villa Dei Misteri) 15 Minuten zu Fuß, mit dem Auto 3-5 Minuten (Bitte vorher den Taxipreis vereinbaren, auch wenn der Wagen vom Haus gerufen wird ...) Es war viel netter hier zu wohnen als in Neapel. Mit der Circumvesuviana (EAV) ist man vom BH Neapel/Garibaldi in 40 Minuten hier.

In an unkind way, she gave me a space heater. Breakfast was disappointing too, though she had the basics: beverages, cakes, and cornflakes. I live in Italy and 99% of the places are better!

The staff were friendly, and the parking area behind the hotel felt safe even when we arrived late at night.
• Claudia (8/5): Für eine Nacht empfehlenswert! - Eine sehr gute Lage um die Ruinen von Pompeji zu besichtigen, Parkplatz im Hof. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und Frühstück gebucht. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, auch das Frühstück. Supermarkt und viele Pizzerien, Cafe´s, Restaurants in der Nähe. Es könnte mehr Ablagefläche im Badezimmer geben und wir haben Gläser vermisst, um abends noch einen Wein auf dem Balkon zu geniessen! Die Betten waren für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart.

A couple of restaurants right beside the hotel, no concierge at hotel but water and drinks available on trust system. Clean room, good tv, mini fridge. All good.

• Caroline (5/5): - C'est au pied des ruines de pompei Les sanitaires sont tres bruyant, la douche avec des joints noircis et surtout ne faites pas tomber votre savon si vous n'êtes pas souple. Et le prix pour le chien 🐕 20 euros en plus !!! C'est de l'arnaque. La chambre est très grande c'est vrai et le balcon aussi mais la literie est de très mauvaise qualité. Nous avons très mal dormi .Le petit-déjeuner n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur du prix demandé. Du nescafé des gâteaux qui dégoulinant de sucre ..on voudrait un café italien, on nous sert un senseo court ! Cherchez l'erreur !.etc. Très déçu par le rapport qualité prix car à plus de 130 euros la nuit on s'attend à avoir au moins une bonne literie.

• Georgina (10/5): Perfect location for visiting the archaeological site. - The location of Il vecchio Fauno is absolutely perfect. Only a minute or so from the gate to the Pompeii archaeological site. It seemed this gate is quieter so we got to explore without so many people around. Also well located for the modern town and train station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well. The staff were amazing and easily contactable via WhatsApp. They went out of their way to help us and provided us with plug converters when the ones we had weren’t the correct type. We received a warm welcome on arrival. Access to the reception is via code and the rooms themselves have keys. The room was large and comfortable with a nice bed and a good bathroom. We had a room at the back with a view over the garden/parking area and the hills beyond. Breakfast was served in their dining room and was a nice selection of cakes, bread rusks with jams and a warm potato sort of cake which was delicious. It was a help yourself style which was nice and meant we felt ready for our day. There is a collection of art at the hotel which I believe some was created by the owner. Really interesting to look at, as you enter there is a sign pointing down the corridor that says art gallery. We went to have a look and found the work to be interesting. We also enjoyed meeting the cat that seemed to frequent the stairwell and greeted us when we went out. It didn’t bother us but the rooms are up a flight of stairs so might be something to consider.

Am primit si sugestii de vizitat, locuri de luat masa. Mic dejun italian. Amplasarea este excelenta chiar linga situl arheologic. Retras si linistit. NU este un feedback negativ... micul dejun este chiar indeajuns, dar pt cei obisnuiti cu legume eventual oua/papara aici le poate simti lipsa.
• Stephen (9/5): Great value for money, in a great location away from the noise and crowds. - It was an excellent location views of Vesuvius right across the road, the lovely square of modern day Pompei just a few meters away which the amazing cathedral and great bars and restaurants. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the bed creaked when we you moved The room had a nice balcony but again the floor and table could have been cleaner.

Located near the Amphitheatro entrance, near the centre of Pompéi city for meal an drinks in the evening, A good choice for the ones who walk a lot in the day and wish to save a little budget for the other place in the Napoli bay or on the islands with more comfort at the sea. Staff is very friendly and helpfull ok for one or two days, more is complex

• Michèle (6/5): - Die Lage ist super. Unser Zimmer hatte einen grossen Balkon. Ist perfekt für einen Ausflug zu den Ausgrabungen und in das Stadtzentrum. Selfcheckin funktionierte gut und unkompliziert. Guter Parkplatz im Hinterhof. Unser Zimmer war nicht sehr sauber. Auf dem Boden hatte es noch einige Haare. Das Bett war sehr unbequem weil man die Federn spürte beim Liegen.

• Marta (8/5): Ogólnie ok, czysto i dobra lokalizacja jeśli chodzi o zwiedzanie ruin. - Lokalizacja. Zamieszanie z pokojami :) zamawialiśmy 11 noclegów (łącznie w tr4 pokojach) i gospodarz coś namieszał, ale ostatecznie wyszło ok, tylko w mojej opinii cena powinna być obniżona, bo ostatecznie wzięliśmy 3 pokoje a nie 4.

• JIN (8/5): 距离入口近 - 距离庞贝anfiteatro入口步行3分钟。民宿在1楼，一共9个房间。院子可停车（注意入口宽度）。卫生间不小，整体浴室略小。 房费包含早餐，但女主人只想着收停车费和城市税，压根没提早餐的事情（虽然我早就吃了自带的泡面）。说好的每天停车费10欧，结果过夜就按两天算，我也不计较了 。退房的时候，女主人的腊肠🐶用尽平生力气狂吠了一声，是有多么不欢迎我。

• Sara (7/5): Dal Fauno agli scavi in un balzo! - Stanza pulita e confortevole. Molto apprezzato il bagno con finestra. Il costo del parcheggio (10 euro) adeguato anche perchè vista la vicinanza al centro della cittadina e all'entrata (lato anfiteatro) degli scavi, non si ha la necessità di spostarsi con la macchiana. Se proprio devo dire qualcosa per migliorare una struttara già molto buona, aggiungerei un frigobar nella stanza e nella colazione proporrei qualche dolce tipico, oltre ai prodotti confezionati. Ad esempio le sfogliatelle.

• Janne (10/5): Great place in a great location! - I had a few days in Pompeii and staying at this hotel was just perfect. The location felt very safe (female solo traveller). It was in walking distance from both train stations from Napoli, the entrance to Pompeii ruins was very close and all the eateries and bars were just a little walk (started 150m) up the road, leaving the actual location of the hotel nice and quiet. The staff were super helpful and friendly the couple of times I needed assistance and the room was nice, quiet and spacious. I will definitely stay here next time I come to the area - a definite considering the amazing surrounds. The length of my stay... Would have loved a few extra days!

• Allyson (10/5): - We traveled to the area with friends who had booked at a different hotel just down the street from Il Vecchio Fauno. We stayed here (there was no vacancy at the hotel where our friends were), and were pleased with the experience. Our room was spacious, had a lovely balcony to sit on and look out over a boulevard, and the bed was comfortable. It is located an easily walkable distance from the ruins, and there are lots of shops and cafes to choose from. The check-in was a bit different than what I'm used to (it's a self check-in system), and the owners were very patient with my questions and provided excellent directions as to how to access the property. We absolutely would stay here again.

• Pia (9/5): - Das Hotel liegt direkt beim Eingang zu den Ruinen (Amphitheater). Auch zur Innenstadt ist es nicht weit! Die Leute sind sehr freundlich und es gibt eine niedliche Hauskatze! Es gibt jede Menge Kunst zu sehen und der Balkon war sehr cool. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Auf Anfrage gab es beim Frühstück für uns frische Gurken und Paprika. Das fand ich toll Das Frühstück war ok. Aber leider mit vielen einzeln verpackten Dingen, kein Käse oder Eier und viel Süßkram. Der Kaffee war Nespresso. Auf Anfrage gab es beim Frühstück für uns allerdings frische Gurken und Paprika. Zur Info: der Parkplatz im Hof ist nicht inklusive und kostet 10 Euro pro Tag!
