- Giovanni Battista (3/5): Esperienza negativa.

- Jörgen (7/5): An older look and feel in the hotel, but very friendly staff. Shops nearby. - The breakfast was a good, full breakfast, with plenty of options.
I arrived down for my brekkie just 10 minutes before it officially ended.
By that time the waitress had already moved things away, but she was very quick to bring me back absolutely everything!
=D
Very good service, although I only needed a few of the items already removed.
The view from the restaurant was cool, with mountains in two directions.
From my room I also say a huge mountain.
The location was really good, with food stores a walking distance away. The overall vibe was a bit 1970's, which could merit a lower price.
But travelling around the entire island of Iceland you get used to things being expensive.
=\
No elevators in the building, so if you don't have healthy legs, dragging your suitcase to the second floor could be cumbersome.
(I had no problems with this myself.)
- Wessel (6/5): Outdated and to high a price - Outdated room, but ok in space. Friendly staff. The room was not a modern hotel room. The bathroom was terrible. It was a bathroom for a wheelchair and had no showercurtain. After showering the whole bathroom was wet and damp. The room was not really cleaned well, the towels had hairs still on them and the cups were not clean. High price comapared to the quality.

Friendly staff
- Alessandro (7/5): - La stanza è spaziosa e il letto comodo. Personale gentile. Colazione scarsa, decisamente da rivedere. Pochissima offerta di dolce e dall’aspetto poco invitante.

- Andriy (10/5): Very nice place. - The location of this hotel is very convenient to the tourist attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was wonderful.
(Future renovation could be nice).
- Jonse (8/5): - Views are great like everywhere. For one night stop very good option, since everything you might need is "rock-throw" away. Breakfast was also pretty good. Wifi could receive a upgrade.
- Adrien (6/5): -
- Bill (4/5): - This was a dormitory style room - cement walls, small and not pleasant.
Breakfast was the only saving grace.
- Viktor (10/5): - Very nice and budget-friendly. Nothing fancy, as basic as it gets. The room is quite small. The breakfast options are good. Breakfast area got super crowded.
- Thomas (10/5): - Friendly staff and delicious complimentary breakfast. Clean and spacious room nestled in Reyðarfjörður's absolutely stunning fjord setting. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
- david (4/5): - Hotel is old. No fridge. Shower situation different. Noisy
- Zhaoqing (10/5): Exceptional - Service was amazing Everything was great
- Nigel (8/5): Owners trying hard to provide clean and fresh accommodation. Town lacks any adequate places to eat - Rooms and laundry were very clean and fresh, Owners clearly trying hard. Breakfast was ok. Restaurant was full both nights due to two functions. Town had very limited places to eat.
- Meghan (10/5): - This was such a cute little place to stay and all the stuff was so friendly!
- Vera (8/5): Very good - We stayed only overnight.
Staff where friendly.

- Stephen (10/5): A good base to set of to surrounding sites of the Eastern fjords. - Breakfast was excellent. Helpful staff. A good selection of food. All told, an excellent start to the day.
- Edward (10/5): - The check in was quick and painless. Our request for an accessible room was actioned. We found it on the ground floor and was of a good size with a more than adequate sized shower toilet room. Plenty of ventilation from the opening window.
Desk and chair plus bench were all good.
- Stefansson (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (6/5): - The property was older and run down. It appears that they are Working on some renovations so that may change.
It was for only one night so manageable.
Town was small but cute.
- Alexander_frumin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tom (5/5): Passable -
- Sofiya (8/5): - It was very quiet when we stayed there, didn’t see anyone in the whole town or hotel (self check-in). But the location is gorgeous, there is a nice foss 30-minute hike away from the hotel.
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Peerer (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay at hotel Austur. Room was good and linen soft. Breakfast is continental and did surely overcome our expectation. Would have loved to stay another night. High recommendation.

- NAMKI (10/5): My best hotel in Iceland - I love this place. I would like to recommand this hotel all of you. It doesn't ask check out time. They just said you can stay enough here. Moreover, they gave breakfast for me even though I'm only guest that day. It's my best hotel in Iceland.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Ivo (7/5): Good -
- Sigurgeir (8/5): Very good -
- Sophie (6/5): Passable - Fine for a night. Not the cleanest. Very dated. Wouldn’t stay again.
- Samantha (10/5): - The staff was great and the breakfast was a nice touch!
- Maggie (10/5): - Lit confortable, chambre très propre, personnel gentil, bon petit déjeuner, à côté d’une épicerie et pharmacie et magnifique endroit avec les montagnes enneigées !
- Eleonore (7/5): It was clean but very minimal - Location was great The room was clean and there was a TV, but the room was really tight, maybe 4 inches between wall and window side of the bed…breakfast was minimal.
- Imafarmer (10/5): Convenient on east fjords side of Iceland, better value than expected! - Was happily surprised with the hotel and rooms- was better than anticipated! Walked down to the docks from the room, grocery store and gas station just down the block. Breakfast was very good.
- Doug (9/5): Superb - Older hotel but was well kept and a comfortable nights stay. Issues with the TV .. no remote and once the clerk got us a remote, we couldn't figure out how to use it... finally gave up.
- Ronan (8/5): Very good - Nice, comfortable room.
- Manjunath (10/5): - Staff was very kind - we arrived late at this hotel. This a very small town with limited dining options. Since i was travelling with small kids, staff provided with fruits and offered more options for dinner. Property was clean, breakfast was excellent. Thanks to the staff!
- Dader (8/5): Very good - The staff is great. We arrived late that day, and they had left our key in an envelope with instructions. The room is old, and the light in our room keeps flickering.
- Cedric (10/5): - Nicely updated property, with comfortable bedding. Easy check in and parking
- Vardit (8/5): Very good - Nice area, clean, comfortable, good reception service
- Christine (7/5): Good -
- Anny (6/5): - Simple clean lodging in a small town. A gas station, supermarket and a small restaurant just steps away. Nothing fancy but a quiet space and hot shower to get you refreshed for another day. Can drive Highway 1 to egilsstadoir. Don’t let Google Map fool you with its instruction of a two hour roundabout route. So good location if you’re doing a drive around Iceland.
- April (6/5): Older rooms in a nice location with friendly staff. - Great spot along a fjord and close to a waterfall, breakfast on site was helpful to be able to get up and going in the morning Definitely a bit dated - been a while since the interior has been refinished and the beds were rock hard. Breakfast doesn’t seem to be restocked so go early…
- Virginia (10/5): - The hotel is easy to get to and has beautiful landscapes all around! We were able to check in late and when I requested a crib for my son they were able to provide one! They had a full breakfast every morning which was good. The beds were comfortable and the room was dark.
- Steinthor (8/5): Very good -
- Medina (1/5): Bad -
- Kjalar (8/5): Very good -
- Arni (5/5): Passable -
- Carol (8/5): Perfect for a night or two stay! - The beds were the most comfortable mattresses of our entire 2 weeks in Iceland. The staff were kind and accommodating in this quaint little town. Good options for the morning breakfast. The outside could use a little landscaping. It would also be a good investment to offer a washer and dryer in the building to guests (paid or not).
- Ali (8/5): Very good - Breakfast is good. The facilities were good.
- Hjörleifsson (8/5): Very good -
- Hjörleifsson (8/5): Very good -
- Cw (8/5): Very good - Lovely village with a decent bar/ cafe.
Neat room.. Small working radiator in the bathroom dried rinsed out clothes nicely.
Decent breakfast.
Wifi was fine.
- Dragos (8/5): Very good - good location
- Frode (6/5): Pleasant - The Portuguese girl who ran the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Could be a bit more varity in the breakfast.
- Teddy (3/5): Poor -
- Matvei (7/5): Good -
