- Juliette (10/5): - The Beach Villa is right on a beautiful beach on the indian ocean. The rooms feature sea- and beach views, fans and/or aircondition, hot water showers and a sitting area/balcony and free wifi. The Staffel is always Willingshausen to help organise trips or activities.

Mere äärest tulles olid jalad liivased ja kusagil polnud puhtaks teha ja see oli must liiv veel ukse ees.Viibisime pikalt ja prügi pold kuhugi viia õue ära. Kohvik/baar vms all korrusel ei tööta. Oleks võinud harigi olla toas kuna 4 päeva liivases keskonnas toob palju liiva tuppa ja on ebamugav kui koristada ei saa. Pott jättis soovida isegi vee keetmiseks ja veekeetjat ka polnud.

- Julia (1/5): Very bad value for money. - The view from the room was good. Nice seeing the surfboard riders. The ground floor was a construction site and the drilling noises went late into the night! There was no restaurant. It was in the construction area. There was water pouring loudly from 3 sides of the roof, down the sides of the building all day and night. So we didn’t sleep well at all with all that noise. There was wet brown paint in the room which stained my clothing.

The room was comfortable Multiple issues...no hot water, half the power plugs didn't work, lamp didn't work as power plug for it didn't work, sheets were torn, bathroom smells, restaurant under renovation so listening to renovations. We had to ask them to stop renovations at 10 pm and then call the owner to ask again to stop the noise. Located on the main street so beachfront for views but not a swimming beach. Power goes off when you leave the room so fridge wasn't useful. When talked to the owner about issues, he was no help. After checkout, I went back to check for something and the person who was supposed to be cleaning the room was laying on the sofa on his phone! The lobby pictures are all old. Doesn't look anything like that

- Samira (5/5): Machbar aber es geht auch besser. - Das Abendessen war sehr lecker und auf tollen Tellern. Unser Apartment war sehr geräumig und hatte einen tollen Balkon direkt am Meer. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption war sehr Hilfsbereit bei der Parkplatzsituation und allgemein sehr freundlich. Für Surfer ein toller Spot. Die Bäder waren voll funktionsfähig. Klimaanlagen und Ventilatoren haben funktioniert und der Kühlschrank war sehr kalt und geräumig. Am ersten Abend wollten wir um 19:45 (das Restaurant hat bis 21 Uhr geöffnet) im Restaurant essen, widerwillig durften wir uns setzten und unsere Bestellung wurde aufgenommen. Nachdem dann mehrfach Ratten über die Terasse gelaufen sind (woran vermutlich die danebengelegene Müllhalde und der Fischmarkt dran Schuld sind)und wir gebeten wurde oben zu essen, haben wir auf unserem Zimmer gegessen. Bei der Benutzung des Waschbeckens im Bad wurde dann eine Schabe hochgespült. Eins unserer Kissen war leider schimmelig, es gab jedoch 2 pro Person, weshalb ich dann einfach das andere genommen habe. Die Nacht war sehr unruhig weil sowohl die Straße als auch das Meer extrem laut waren. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir um 8:15 Frühstück bestellt (was wieder nur widerwillig entgegen genommen wurde weil das Frühstücksangebot nur bis 09:00 gilt). Nach 45min wurde uns dann der Kaffee in die Hand gedrückt und mitgeteilt, dass es gerade keine Avocados für die Avocadotoasts gibt "es ist keine Avocadoseason ist" (wir waren im September hier und überall am Straßenrand konnte man Avocados kaufen). Wir haben dann auf das Frühstück verzichtet. Am Abend wollten wir dann auf dem Parkpalatz gegenüber parken, da uns dieser vom Hotel genannt wurde. Leider gab es da ein paar Unstimmigkeiten (was wohl an neuem Personal liegt), wir haben dann wieder am Straßenrand vor dem Hotel geparkt. Später am Abend ist durch unser Apartment dann eine 8cm lange Kakerlaken gelaufen. Wir haben auf Sri Lanka für weniger Geld deutlich bessere Unterkünfte gehabt.

I had a bad experience with one of the staff members. There were 2 guys looking after the property. One was Samith and a younger guy. I'm a girl traveling alone so my guard was pretty up since it was two men. Younger guy was super friendly and no complains about him. At first Samith was friendly too. Since I did an online payment he gave me his number and asked me to send the receipt which I did. I didn't even bother saving his number cz he was just the guy looking after the place. I had my stay and came back home. Few days later I received a WA message from Samith and i thought he wanted me to write a review about the stay. But instead it was to ask how i was doing. And then last night he texted me again and was asking me really inappropriate things like "are u in the mood". I immediately blocked his number. This was very unprofessional and really bad for the name of the property.

- PAU (10/5): - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Villa Surf Beach – Bonavista, Galle, Sri Lanka Our stay at Villa Surf Beach was excellent. The hotel is perfectly located, right on Bonavista Beach – an amazing spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay super comfortable. What really stood out was the incredible service. As we were leaving, we realized we had forgotten a driver’s license and were already more than 50 km away. Maduu, one of the staff members, went above and beyond and brought it to us by motorbike at 11 PM. Such an amazing gesture that shows their true dedication to guests! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, a great location, and outstanding hospitality.

- Guest (4/5): - De locatie was prima aan zee wel jammer dat er geen parkeerplaats was. We hadden maar 1 stopcontact wat werkte ook wou de deur naar de badkamer en de deur van de douchecabine niet dicht waardoor de kamer nat werd tijdens het douchen. We hadden een kamer geboekt voor 3 personen er zou een tweepersoonsbed en slaapbank zijn toen we aankwamen stond er een normale bank die niet was opgemaakt we hebben om beddengoed moeten vragen. Ook waren er geen handdoeken aanwezig we kregen ze nadat we erom vroegen maar de opvolgende dagen waren er geen schone handdoeken meer.

The airconditioned bedrooms were perfect, however, there was no airconditioning in the living room. So during day we kept the bedroom door open and after a couple of hours the temperature in the living room was good too.

They were always ready to help and answered all questions with patience. The room could’ve been cleaner, it was smaller and the washroom wasn’t that neat, Wifi didn’t work, AC remote didn’t have battery but when raised as a complaint to the staffs it was promptly solved.
- Daniella G (5/5): Havsutsikt - Utsikten från rummet var fantastisk. Bekväm säng och goa kuddar. Lägenheten är mycket enkelt möblerad, så för de som nöjer sig med det jätteenkla kan trivas här. Killarna som jobbade var otroligt vänliga och fina (Något som gärna får smitta av sig på värden). Surfskola precis nedanför, mataffär, bageri och apotek tvärsöver gatan. Allt i köket var smutsigt, dålig wifi, inget tryck i duschen. Påpekade men fick bara ett Ja. Vi checkade ut 3 dagar för tidigt utan att få något tillbaka pga av missnöje över skicket och renligheten. Värden sålde gärna tyngre grejer om vi var intresserade, redan första dagen när vår familj kom så fanns möjligheter till köp. Passade oss absolut inte och gav avsmak direkt.

- Sheldon (5/5): Would never stay here again… worst accommodation of our entire 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. For roughly 21000LKR you can do a l - The one good thing was that the ocean was just a few meters away. Ants and other insects everywhere…. Centipede in the toilet when we arrived, 100s of tiny ants all over the floor. There was a resident RAT on our patio… it was there at night and in the AM … running all over the place. The place was generally run-down….. old beds that mysteriously shed sawdust on the floor? We reserved a “delux room with a sea view” that was supposed to sleep 3. However there was only one double bed and a sofa. The sofa was far from suitable as a bed but our teenage daughter was forced to sleep on it for a few uncomfortable nights. The upstairs hallway always had a foul moldy smell. The patio door was badly warped and therefore would not close all the way, which we were concerned about due to the persistent presence of the RAT(s). This room and the hotel were anything but deluxe. Also, the manager insisted that we pay in full for our 3 night stay, immediately upon arrival…. which we never experienced anywhere else in Sri Lanka. The hotel is right on the main road/highway running into Galle Fort….. always very busy.

- Jo (9/5): Fantastic beach view from the balcony - As the weather was going to be changeable we especially booked the room with the big balcony. It was fantastic we could sit outside rain or shine! Just what we wanted. Staff were friendly - we had a cocktail at the bar but not good quality for the price. At the time we stayed the restaurant never seemed to be used. The room was expensive for what was but for us the balcony made it worth the money!!

- Leigh (7/5): Travel on a budget - Even though our room was very small, there were hooks, hangers and shelves which made it comfortable. The hot water and shower pressure was wonderful in our tiny bathroom. We were amongst the hustle and bustle of the town, but watching the surfers while drinking our coffee every day was great. Galle Fort was a short tuk tuk ride away, and Unawatuna was around the corner.

Размер порции всегда разный то чуть чуть то нормально . Рядом покушать негде только если куда нибудь ехать.Номер пойдет на пару дней не больше.
- Christopher (9/5): Small hotel with good food right on the beach - This very small hotel is perched right on a very nice and safe surfing and swimming beach. Water temperature in late January 28c Our sea-front room had very good air con and a very nice large balcony with table & chairs. The hotel does excellent meals, which you eat looking out onto the sea, and also has decent coffee. The hotel does take payment by credit card with a 3% surcharge. Well worth a visit to the nearby Japanese Peace Pagoda and the Galle Fort area. We did very much enjoy our stay, but: The hot water takes a long time to come. Our room key was at times impossible to operate. The curtains covered only 75% of the French windows. The very young men in charge like playing loud rap music through a huge speaker, but will turn it down when asked! The management is sketchy: apart from the key problem, we started with no towels and we're not offered a cleaning service. A light bulb or two need. Ceiling fan & one power socket not working. Poor WiFi. The rooms facing North onto the main A2 road may suffer from traffic noise. Drinking water provided free only on day 1.

- Sune Aaboe (6/5): Great balcony with rats! - Location is great! Balcony is a bliss. But the balcony was visited by a rat multiple times. We got awaken by loud arriving guests at 0430 in the night that tried to enter our room.

- Edith (9/5): Great location, great service - It was a small but nice room with a good private bathroom. Nice hot shower. The location is great on the beach with many surf schools. Unfortunately in the evening the air conditioning was broken and a mechanic was called. Since it was late and it was an off day because of the full moon, it was not possible to fix the air conditioner immediately. So Mohan arranged an upgrade to a large room in a villa nearby (Villa Harvour view) with terrace by a river and arranged a cab. At our request, we were able to stay here for 2 nights. On the day we had to leave, my husband became seriously ill. Mohan arranged for us to stay longer and took care of us. He offered to call a doctor and arrange medication. - Clarke (9/5): - Mohan the host was amazing. Attentive and helped us out all the time. Great location and amazing relaxing views. Needed the kitchen to be fully supplied and the floor and mats need a big clean.
- Khadiza (6/5): - The room is nice and spacious. Location is also good. But the AC was not working. They took forever to fix it and the next day, Same problem. It was horroble. There were no room services or anything. I wont recommend this place to anyone.
- Jana (3/5): Not for me! - The young men were very nice and polite, and the view from the beach was lovely. That was all that was good. If you want cheap and don't care about clean showers and hot ones, then book it. The shower was so gross, so dirty, and rainwater came up through the drains. Water was so cold. I didn't shower for 2 days, The curtains in the room didnt even cover the whole windows, so sunlight came pouring in very early was such a letdown as we couldn't sleep.. It was the worst place we stayed our whole trip.

- Prathamesh (9/5): - We were welcomed by one of the staff named Mohan who also knew to speak Hindi which was a big plus point. The room location was so beautiful with a Beachfront view. The restaurant also had good and tasty food but at the higher side cost wise. Overall Mohan helped us a lot with his knowledge about the area The room was clean but the door would not open properly. It used to get stuck while opening but I am sure it will get fixed soon.

- Johannes (6/5): Direkte Lage am Strand - Direkte Lage am Strand Klimaanlage Sauberes Bad Großes Zimmer Die Möbel im Aussenbereich färben leider extrem ab (da diese gestrichen sind! Kein Hinweis des Personals), so dass wir uns leider teilweise unsere Kleidung versaut haben… Die Straße vor der Unterkunft war sehr laut (nachts hörbar)
- Ole_2605 (7/5): Schöne zentrale Lage - Super zentrale Lage direkt im Geschehen, wunderschöne Aussicht. Freundlicher Service Sauberkeit könnte besser sein. Schwache Klimaanlage, daher relativ warm im Zimmer. Ratte auf dem Balkon, daher nachts besser nicht das Fenster auflassen.
