Guest Reviews
- Jeremiah Ngure (8/5): Perfect - Good breakfast , but I wish they had more option like Sweat potatoes , Plantains ,yams etc
- MONIKA (10/5): - We really loved our time at Anthurium Residence! From the reception to the cleaning staff, everyone was so kind and welcoming. The place has such a good vibe with nice music, cool decorations, and a lovely garden to relax in. It’s on a quiet road with a nice view, but still close enough to the center.
The beds were super comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and modern with a great hot shower. Breakfast was tasty, and the restaurant food was amazing—the fish fillet with rice quickly became one of our favorites!
Overall, we truly loved our stay. The kind staff, cozy rooms, delicious food, and relaxing environment made this a great value for money. Without a doubt, it has been the best place we’ve stayed in Rwanda so far. We are already looking forward to coming back in a few days
- Stéphane Prince (7/5): - La gentillesse du personnel. La vue sur la ville Pas de climatisation, Wi-Fi capricieux

- Aleksandra (8/5): - I really liked the staff. They helped with everything. We needed knives and fruit plates. They provided everything. They also helped call a taxi. The room corresponds to the description.
- Pamela (10/5): Tolle Zimmer, tolles Personal - Alles. Sehr schöne Zimmer, schöner Garten und auch die Sitzgelegenheiten waren toll.
Frühstück war gut - nur etwas langsam aber so ist es halt in Rwanda.
- Guest (8/5): I loved staying at your hotel,so welcoming. - It was soo calm and people were friendly. Mosquitoes and when the power went off and bathrooms need to be more clean other than that all was good.
- Maya (9/5): Awesome stay, can’t recommend it enough! The staff and management truly make it memorable. - I loved everything about my stay. The staff is hands-down the best I’ve ever encountered, seriously! They go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, and I can honestly say they’re the nicest people you’ll meet. The included breakfast is delicious, with fresh fruit and plenty of flexibility to suit your preferences. The rooms are always spotless. If you’re staying in Kigali, especially for a longer visit, this place is a no-brainer, the value is unbeatable!!!

- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - People, staff were so friendly, and helpful for any questions
- David (9/5): Superb - Staffs are nice. N/A
- Oscar (5/5): Passable - The management allowed noisy guests, which they could not advice not to disturb other guests. They facility need to ensure that noisy guests are not allowed to disturb others, who may be resting. A hotel is generally suppose to be quiet and relaxing place.
- Divine (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very friendly and communicated and took care of our group excellently. They also offered fairly priced transport to and from the airport and helped guide us on how to get around. We were pleased with the food and the portions as well.
- Joseph (10/5): If you are looking for a friendly and affordable place to live in Kigali, then go to Authurium - The location of the hotel was good, not too far from the city.
The staff were very helpful and nice. They were always ready to help.
I had a great time and will definitely go back there. Nothing at all.
- Abhi (7/5): Decent - The staff was great and service was amazing The shower leaked, rooms were small, location was slightly inaccessible, walls were thin, there was construction going on in the restaurant area which made working or staying long there intolerable
- Wasswa (10/5): Exceptional - Good hotel and the facilities are good
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Great staff!
- Tobias (10/5): ich habe die ruhige Lage nahe von meiner Lieblingsgegend Cosmos sehr genossen - I was a flight attendant and stayed in many 4 to 5 Star hotels all over the world.
It was never my world. For sure this hotel is not Marriott. But I love the personality. The people are helpful, very kind, really lovely. Rooms are clean. There is a nice lobby/restaurant. A very nice green garden with a great view. Very calm- and yet very close to Cosmos, which is one of my favorit areas in Kigali, because it is pretty authentic and not like city center, and you get everything and yet you are close to the city Center. Very recommended for the money you pay.
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - This place is heaven 😊. I loved everything about the place from food to the views to accessibility.
The room was sparking clean . Purely clean white beddings.
The staff are polite , friendly and very helpful.
Thank you so much you made my trip beautiful.
Mulakozi ❤️❤️❤️❤️ see you again and again . The fact that I had to leave the place and go back home 🤣I didn't want to leave the place.
- Bert (10/5): Exceptional - All staff I encountered were very friendly. Room was functional and clean. The breakfast was very tasty. Just a short hop on a motorbike from the more central areas of Kigali so it's not a problem. Outside noise enters the room through the ventilation openings above the windows and door.
- Atukunzire (9/5): Superb -
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tain (9/5): Superb -
- Wolfram (8/5): A good place close to Nyamirabo with the hussle of Nyamirabo. - The residential hotel is on the hilly side of Nyamirabo/ Kigali. Many Bars and Cafés are in walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It has sports facilities and offers a good breakfast. Rooms have no mosquito nets.
- Monica (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was clean, bed was comfortable and hot shower was a plus! The staff is kind and professional, sincerely all perfect for an amazing price
- Dennis (10/5): Excellent value! Great friendly staff. Good breakfast. - The Anthurium Residential Hotel is nicely landscaped, has good views, and a nice open dining area for the included breakfast. The only negative is the hill to get up and down is rather steep. I’m 70 and did it with no problem.
- Jordi (8/5): Very good - nice view, good breakfast, very attentive and polite staff loud church choir nearby since early morning, steep access ramp
- Chiera (5/5): Passable - It was noisy at Night I couldn't sleep
- Zamzam (10/5): Comfortable and clean - The staff were so welcoming and kind. None
- Precious (8/5): Very good -

- Apc-ponge (10/5): Little Gem in the Vibrant Nyamirambo Area - A Must Visit in Rwanda - Anthurium Residential Hotel in Rwanda exceeded my expectations during my 9-day stay, offering exceptional value for money in a peaceful setting. The staff's warm hospitality made me feel truly welcome and well-cared for throughout my visit. The clean, comfortable rooms provided a perfect retreat after long days of exploring, while the continental breakfast was always a delightful way to start the day, complete with the delicious homemade juices. Despite its quiet location, the hotel's proximity to the vibrant Nyamirambo area allowed for easy access to Kigali's best offerings. There are several eateries in Nyamirambo area for anyone who wants to sample traditional Rwandese foods. From the friendly service to the tasty food and comfortable accommodations, Anthurium Residential Hotel proved to be an excellent choice for my extended stay in Rwanda's capital. This is certainly one of the best from the Land of a Thousand Hills. The Residential Hotel exceeded my expectations.
- Blessing (8/5): Overall the experience was great, really friendly and helpful staff. -
- Axelle (8/5): Perfect place to rest... - I liked the service, which is a little bit above kigali standard in terms of speed! I also like the dedication of the staff, available anytime to support. Well, there was nothing touristic to visit in the surroundings. Which makes the commitment a bit challenging (Have to go a bit far to experiment the best Kigali has to offer. It could be a very good deal for a visitor who didn't really come to be all over the place, but just to enjoy some quiet far from other activities.
- Loveth (5/5): My stay was ok although. - There was no AC/fan in the room There were mosquitoes and no fan. The rooms are to close to the passage and guests talking at the lobby could be very loud and you distracted in your own room
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent staff, amazing food and good location!
- Oinoth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stella (9/5): Superb -
- Obinna (8/5): Thank you!!Thank you!!Thank you!! - I so much love the menu for the breakfast, it's so much lovely, in general I really enjoyed the foods at the hotel, and I will visit again soonest...Thanks for the services There's no where in this world were there is perfection, the most important thing is that my likes in there are much much ahead of my dislikes....once again I'm saying Thank you to everyone at Anthurium Residential Hotel for making my vacation a memorable one.
- Noel (8/5): nice place friendly staff. - Need to ask for a fan. room was warm and there were mosquitos. The food was good but took a while. The Juice in the morning was home made an delicious and beautiful to look at. Mango and tree tomato Red and Yellow. Meddy was our local driver who showed up on time.
A good view of the valley below and some nice birds in the gardens. On the weekend the church near by practice their singing and has quite a loud and long service on Sunday.
- Wolfram (10/5): A very recommendable hotel. - Very clean, nice rooms, good breakfast, good WIFI, friendly staff. Anthurium Hotel is in walking distance to very lively Cosmos/ Nyamirambo.
- Sherko (9/5): It was amazing - Breakfast
- Michael (8/5): Good value,
safe location with friendly staff. - Good value and good staff. Safe area. 15 min to city centte by taxi.
- A.uygar (10/5): Anthurium and it's staff saved my life! - Where do I begin...? My stay in beautiful Kigali got disrupted by the mototaxi driver who turned out to be intoxicated and I found myself flying 6m away and crashing on the ground... now with a fractured arm and wrist, I still count my blessings since it could have been a lot worse. Anthurium became my home for a week after the accident and Inna and her team almost like family. Chris, Gerald, the cook and the two servers... they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my stay post accident and I can't appreciate it enough. It was a hard period for me and I am so grateful that I stayed at Anthurium. By far the cleanest hotel with the best facilities in my 2 month long East Africa trip price/quality wise. It turns out that they even had a resident physiotherapist, Arsene, who is in fact the doctor of Kigali Football Team... Arsene also helped me a lot with the therapies he gave easing the pain. If you have any problems, please book with him a therapy while at Anthurium since he deserves every penny and compared to EU, he charges almost nothing... Back to the hotel. It is nestled on a beautiful hill with lush views of Kigali and Inna makes it sure everything is spotless. My room was cleaned everyday, they had mosquitoe nets and even repellent in the rooms, constant hot water, very well functioning Wi-Fi. Inna and Esther even got my return bus ticket back to Kampala from the main station since I couldn't go there with my injury. Chris and his team at the restaurant made every effort to prepare some food that I'd like. Their ginger coffee is yummy! Overall I can't recommend Anthurium enough to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Kigali. It is so hard to find a place like this where everything matches the expectations. I promised Inna and the staff I'd go visit them in Rwanda someday, sadly I got to see close to nothing since the accident happened in the beginning but I'll do my best to keep my promise. Absolutely nothing.
- Firdaus (8/5): Good ambiance - Great Ambiance, clean room, quiet environment, welcoming staff Never had our breakfast. We were late for our bus so we made a request for take out which was denied. Also, our booking was supposed to come with a bottle of drinking water but it wasn't offered, we ended up buying from them.
- Noel (8/5): Very good - Nice quiet, relaxed hotel, except for Saturday and Sunday when the church below it has practice and services. Nice view of part of the city with yellow billed kites flying and white browed robin chats in the gardens. Breakfast was good but need to order ahead it too took an hour to make. Great mango and tomato fruit juice. We had to ask for a fan. they should asked if we wanted a fam or provided it. could have used a second chair and a mosquito net.
- Mohaned (8/5): Very good - Location Expensive
- Sunil (8/5): Very good -
- Ruboneka (7/5): Good -
- Lukongo (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Anton (8/5): pleasant place with pleasant people - Panoramic view on part of Kigali, Nyamirambo quarter is full of live, restaurants, local people incl. arabic. Hotel is small and personale, manager helpful at any issue No complaint
- Dubex (8/5): Very good -
- Dudu777 (8/5): Awesome host - Anthurium is a decent accomodation and you gets great value for your money. Inna was an amazing host and very helpful. She arranged transport for our excursions and airport. She was friendly and easy to communicate with. Anthurium is on the quiet side of Nyamirambo and the room was clean. The kitchen service was not good. Some dishes on the menu were not available. Waiter was not the best communicator and served chilli sauce on a dirty bowl.
- Haile (10/5): Exceptional - It’s amazing hotel with great staff
- Omaliko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Linus (7/5): Good - The staff were really friendly and ready to cater to all my needs The breakfast was always served late and they do not have a variety.Same food every single breakfast

- Nemeyimana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johann (7/5): Good value for money. Wsrm welcome. One or two small changes can improve the experience exponentially - Friendly staff, clean room, delicious food A fan in the room would make a huge difference. Also very slippery bathroom floor with no curtain in the shower

- Nsabimana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anes (5/5): Passable - Nothing Everything
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - It was very nice hotel. Clean and good. The breakfast was also very good.
- Mohamed (8/5): Very good -
- Habtom (10/5): a very confort and silent venue, keep it up!!! - very nice breakfast, location
- Njamen (9/5): Excellent - Excellent Excellent
- Johanna (5/5): The stay was okay, but it was too noisy for me. - I somehow enjoyed the stay and how friendly the staff was. The restaurant is also good and recommendable. The rooms are fine, but resting isn't really possible. It is a really noisy place: Birds on the roof and the rain are really loud. There are regular services at the church next door during the day and also at night and they sing really loud at 5am every day. The quality of the walls and windows is so bad, that you can hear everything that is going on in the neighboring rooms, the corridor and the garden. It's a typical way of building in this country, but it's not good for your rest. So if you need a hotel to recover, this place might be not the best place to be. If you're used to noise and are looking for an affordable place to be, this is a place I can recommend.
- Anonymous (8/5): My stay was decent and peaceful, my expectations were met. - The staff were very friendly and Polite. Yvonne The Manager was great assistance with Airport Pick up and she helped with Bank runs when I had a payment issue.
Rabah helped me with transportation and language barrier communicating with the locals. He was good company Too.
The rest of the staff were amazing. Halima, Shantelle , Ina, Fillete All made my stay Homely and were hands on anytime I needed something.
my stay was peaceful and quiet, the breakfast was great and even when I was late for it they still had it prepared.. The Wi-Fi was great and I had connectivity all through my stay.
The Sheets were clean and the bathroom had hot water 2/47.
A very decent stay. The TV hardly had English language options, There’s a church around that would sing aloud. A little far from the city centre but if you get comfortable with a short 10min Moto Ride you’ll get around.
- Maina (8/5): well received - clean and welcoming staffs no
- Alexandru (9/5): Superb - The restaurant is good The wifi connection had some glitches(security protocols which made the connection useless).
The problems had been solved after i asked for it few times by the staff(2 hours)
- Flugencio (6/5): Pleasant - It's a wonderful place to stay.
That's why more five days The staff.

- Mizero (8/5): Very good -
- Manod (8/5): Very good -
- Wilondja (9/5): Superb -
- Hilda (7/5): Good - Comfy bed House keeping should be improved or regular especially guests wake up late
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Price quality ratio not good. The place itself is not bad, but for that money? No..
- Chris (10/5): - Spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Anthuriam was like a quiet little oasis just outside the downtown of Kigali. Nestled into the side of a hill near the Nyambirambo area of town, there is a beautiful view from their breakfast area as you eat your breakfast and drink your coffee each morning.
Beds are so comfy and I slept great each night. The rooms are so, so clean even by American standards. The hotel is run by a retired african businessman and his two sons, and they do such a nice job. They were so warm and hospitable. They even insisted on giving me a ride to the airport on the day of my departure.
I will be back. Great clean, comfy place to stay!
