Selv om det var i højsæsonen var der god plads både ved poolen og i restauranten. Morgenmadsbuffeten var en smule ensformig, men til gengæld var udsigten fra spiseområdet vidunderlig, det samme var udsigten fra vores balkon. Rengøringsdamen sørgede dejligt for at holde værelser og området pænt og rent. Byen havde mange fine spisesteder og var hyggelig at gå rundt i. Vi vil på alle måder anbefale stedet.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den hervorragenden Service von Giacomo und Augustino, die sich mit großer Freundlichkeit und absoluter Zuverlässigkeit um die Organisation Touren, Taxis und Transfers gekümmert haben. Egal ob kurzfristige Fahrten oder spezielle Wünsche – alles lief reibungslos und entspannt dank ihres Einsatzes. Vielen Dank dafür! Das Hotel selbst ist wunderschön gelegen: Beim Frühstück draußen auf der Terrasse genießt man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und den Vesuv – ein unvergesslicher Start in den Tag. Das Service-Team beim Frühstück und am Pool war jederzeit aufmerksam, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch am Pool lässt es sich wunderbar entspannen – die Anlage ist gepflegt, ruhig und sehr sauber. Überhaupt war die Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel – ob Zimmer, öffentliche Bereiche oder Außenanlagen – tadellos. Nicht zuletzt überzeugt auch das hoteleigene Restaurant mit sehr guter regionaler Küche, frischen Zutaten und authentischen Gerichten. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt – und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The swimming pool was a lovely addition while the restaurant on the terrace afforded stunning views of the Bay of Naples.
- Yadira (8/5): - The front desk staff was so incredibly helpful guiding me with the public transportation system, I am very grateful to them, made my stay so much more easier and enjoyable. The view from the patio restaurant is so incredibly beautiful. The hotel is a 2 min walk away from the train station which is convenient, be aware the hotel is located on a hill. Their restaurant food is delicious, they close at 2pm after lunch i believe, and open after 7:30pm for dinner, so if you need to eat between those times there is a good restaurant open right across the street.

Would these added perks be appreciated, most definitely. All our clothes were very creased, with no way to look decent. Plus the hanging place for our clothes was squashed next to the fridge, was not ideal.

- Maria (4/5): God beliggenhed, dårlige faciliteter og service - God beliggenhed, men hotellets faciliteter (og service) er ikke 4 stjerner. Døren til altanen kunne ikke lukke helt, så vi måtte ud at købe ørepropper, da vi ikke kunne sove for støj. Parkering, som stod var tilgængelig, var optaget, og vi måtte betale for parkeringshus overfor alle tre dage. Yderligere havde vi været til vinsmagning en aften, og købt en vin med tilbage til hotelværelset, og måtte kun få vandglas (og ikke vinglas), da vinen ikke købt på hotellet. Ligeledes spiste vi morgenmaden ude den sidste dag, da den var meget sparsom.

It was great to have the pool to come back to after busy days exploring. The only criticism was what we thought was a fridge with complimentary drinks was actually a mini bar but with no price list.

The location of the hotel was great. But there are cheaper 3* alternatives around the area with better standards.
- Jade (10/5): Amazing Hotel ! - The Hotel was exactly like the pictures, amazing view and the staff are so friendly and helpful with every question you have! We couldn’t of picked a better place to stay, the location was perfect.. a 2 minute walk to the train station and 12 minute train to Sorrento! Vico Equense is perfect as it’s away from the crowds in Sorrento so you get less of a ‘ tourist ‘ experience but still plenty to do:) Would recommend to anyone!

Nous l'avions choisi car nous avions besoin d'un hôtel en revenant de la côte amalfitaine, pour prendre notre vol le lendemain. Sa proximité de la station Rome Termini avait été le point decisif. Breakfast has a wide variety of delicious options. The pool is great but closes too early. Would be nice to swim after sightseeing all day, or sit out there in the evening. In spite of the short pool hours, I would stay again. Very beautiful hotel!

Splendida e comoda piscina circondata dal verde di piante anche tropicali e bellissima terrazza pergolata e con vista sul golfo di Napoli. Stanza nuova e pulitissima anche se non molto grande. Buona la colazione. Ottimo posto per qualche giorno di relax sulla costiera sorrentina.

Service was excellent Leonardo and Augustino and staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us arrange private tours to see sites on the Amalfi Coast. Food was superb. Rooms were a little on the older side, but clean and hotel was well kept. Our room had two terraces with an awesome view of the Bay of Napoli and Mount Vesuvius. The grounds were gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back again!

- Chris (10/5): The gem within Vico Equense - What a superb hotel. The staff Dominic and James and Augusta were all outstanding. Dominic in particular made considerable effort in terms of helping us with our Italian, giving us some amazing recommendations of local eating places plus some ideas for visiting places around the local area with his great inside knowledge. The hotel pool is fantastic the surrounding areas are beautiful the gardens, the balcony area overlooking the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background is outstanding. All of the hotel staff could not have been more helpful, were hugely attentive and delivered fantastic customer service . We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was a very regal lady who explained the hotel had been passed down the generations throughout her family. She talked always of her home being opened to the public and people coming to stay at her home, we felt very much at home in this beautiful place. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the railway station and bus station links, easy access to Vico Equense Centre. A couple of minutes walk as you to the beaches, to the town, to some fantastic restaurants and a beautiful square with a Fountain and alfresco dining. The hotel was great value for money with a wide selection of local and typical breakfast items. The hotel is clean, beautifully decorated with some stunning artwork and beautiful local tile work pictures.With easy access, parking and simple travel connections we would definitely recommend it
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Parking is under the hotel which is great but very difficult to park due to space and columns. Hotel had a musty smell on our floor. Only dinning option was a 3 course meal for 35 euro per person so you have to go out to eat. There was breakfast included but fairly basic. The pool was a great size and we did discover that you could get some cheaper food by the pool which was good. So pool was a good experience. Sea view from the rooms was a little distant from the sea really and at an angle. Staff nice though. Probably will try a different hotel next time.

- Jose (6/5): Just ok - This hotel was just ok. I’m not one to complain about staying at any hotels but I will explain why I was a bit disappointed. I chose this hotel based on the pictures and reviews. Sure, I did see a few negative ones and don’t really mind them because I can overlook the small details. The room that was given to us was nothing like the pictures. When we entered our room, everything looked old including the furniture. It was just the view that was amazing. I actually downstairs and showed them a picture of what we were expecting and it was nowhere near like the picture. He explained that the room shown in the pictures is one of the most refurbished ones. Keep in mind there is a possibility you might not get what you see in the pictures. Also, they can do better with breakfast. But location was amazing!

A variety of places to eat within walking distance. The view was fantastic! Parking is a nightmare in a very tight underground garage!

- Linda (8/5): Traditional family hotel in a perfect location - We've just had a week at the Hotel Aequa and were very impressed by the location, friendliness of the staff, and the facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were helpful and efficient, and we were made to feel very welcome. The pool was excellent, with plenty of sunbeds and good food/drink service, and the views from the terraces and our room were simply gorgeous. Silent air-conditioning too! Vico Equense is a quaint little town, with excellent transport links and stunning views across to Naples and Vesuvius. We were within steps of two very good restaurants and found the food and service excellent there too. Would recommend.
- Corrine (10/5): Wonderful stay - We loved our stay at this spacious hotel. The pool was wonderful. The area has many restaurants nearby. The rooms are large and accommodated our family of 5 very nicely. Beautiful decor and the breakfast was fresh with lots of choices. Would enjoy staying here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Absolutely stunning views! - Stunning views of the bay and Mt. Vesuvius - located a short five-minute walk from the local train station, which makes travel to Sorrento very easy (11 minute train ride). If coming in from Naples, be sure to look up Trenitalia schedule and take the train - the taxi fare was outrageous from Naples to Vico Equense! The hotel has a nice breakfast and polite staff. Try to book excursions ahead of time. Ask for a renovated room - vast difference between newly renovated and the older rooms as far as fresh new feel vs old - but both are clean and the views are great from all of them. Nice pool and relaxing space all over the property.

- Porter (8/5): - The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning! There was a nice size swimming pool that was also beautiful. The breakfast was good. Our room was very nice. The parking was absolutely terrible! The people at the front desk could be a little more friendly. Overall; it was quite a lovely stay.

- Alison (10/5): Good all rounder - Lovely hotel, great location. Staff very helpful, cheerful amd speak excellent English. Excursions can be arranged. Pool is huge, peaceful with pretty gardens.
- Corrine (8/5): Friendly hotel in great location - The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, close to the train station and good local restaurants. Vico Equense is a lovely place and ideal for exploring nearby areas such as Sorrento, Amalfi and Pompei. My room was pretty dated but clean and the pool is lovely.
- Pauline (6/5): Staff and public areas good. - No wifi in bedroom was biggest inconvenience.. Furniture in bedroom old and worn. Towels and bed linen good. Good pool. Helpful and obliging staff.
