- Crystal (10/5): - Its comfortable and good price N/a
- James (7/5): basic comfort - large rooms mattress, duvet and bed sheets need to improve
carpets of the staircase and lobby are torn and worn out
entrance lobby dirty, littered with dry leaves and clustered with large delivery bags
- Gurjit (1/5): -
- Guest (10/5): - Very good price
- Nagina (3/5): -
- David (2/5): I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were in a far better standard than this. - My room overlooked a litter strewn car park, the walls in the room had holes in which hadn't been filled, the headboard had one side shelf missing, the bottom of the bath was brown, the towel rail was practically hanging off the wall, the carpet around the edges was dirty, the walls had been scrapped and not been painted and one window didn't even have a handle. Also, I emailed the hotel twice about the nearest bus stop but never got a reply.
- Ismail (1/5): - Nothing at all The bed was awful
- zeeshan (7/5): good will stay again - good hotel nice and quiet small car park
- Crystal (10/5): - Comfortable staff are friendly great price qnd easy to get too N/a
- Maqbul (1/5): No good Staff - n/a Check out time. Staff force us to leave property as soon as 10 AM. no additional minutes to get ready to leave property ?

- Waqas (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Location was rubbish post code was incorrect, directions were not clear, whole hotel had stains all over the floor like it hasn’t been cleaned in years ,bed was broken near enough touching the ground however reception staff was great greeted with a smile and tried to help situation with extra pillows haha however I would never recommend anyone to stay here

- Vanessa (10/5): Comfy home from home will stay again x - Cosy home from home x Nothing
- Daniel (2/5): - Parking area awful. There was a very strong smell of a particular type of smoke. I had to leave and stay elsewhere.
- Sarah (2/5): - The room was dirty, there were springs poking through the mattress, the shower was cold and dirty as well. Furniture was in a sorry state and the carpets were unclean as well.
- Stacey (1/5): - Nothing Unclean and dirty with holes in furniture and the floor covered with duck tape. The bedding had stains and so did the mattress and curtains. It was dusty. The bathroom was covered in black mold and dirt left in the bath. The bed was tipping when you moved it looked like it was ready to break at any point.
- Ben (1/5): - Nothing Everything the place is a dump and need pulling down
- Julie (5/5): It was okay - The bed was comfortable. The fausty smell in the Inn and bedroom
- Theodora (6/5): - I like the place was nice and quiet.
I did not like the smell of weed in the corridors. Was really bad when you are coming from outside where there was a fresh breeze
- David (4/5): - The bed and carpets were very sad plus booking out was 10am crazy
- Philip (7/5): - for more than an overnight stay, it has a small fridge and microwave plus tea and coffee making facilities, a plus if you buy dairy and you want it to keep. I hope they will replace bath with shower but I dont foresee any time soon

- Matthew (6/5): A tired hotel but matched the room rate. - Good location. Fair price for the state it’s in. Staff were welcoming. Could do with a refurb. Looking quite dated
- neil (1/5): I never stayed , place was a doss house - Nothing place was full of refugees inside and out Rooms were filthy , locks and handles on doors were hanging off , bathrooms were disgusting, I turned around and walked straight back out with my family , still waiting on refund
- emma (4/5): Fine - The reception staff are friendly The outside of the building was dirty. Inside was dated, needs redecorating. The bathroom floor was spongy and the roof had a brown stain on it. The room was smelly and could do with redecorating.
- Tim (6/5): A tired Travelodge.. fine for the price - It's a tired ex Travelodge. a) it looks like a Travelodge b) the parking signs still refer to Travelodge.
The beds are comfy enough, the shower works just fine, the place is clean enough, but don't expect high standards. Woodwork is flaking in places. Staff were friendly and helpful though. For the price for a one night stay - perfectly acceptable.
- stephen (7/5): Reasonably good hotel and good value for the money - It just fulfilled all my needs for a hotel Not much i didn’t like but maybe cleaning up a bit in the corridors and entrance
- Luke (7/5): Basic but perfectly fine. No issues - Cheap and cheerful. No issues Needs an update, can tell it’s an old travelodge
- sadik (6/5): - It’s ok need to renovate new windows window not close properly to much dust in room
- Nancy (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend again, I won’t be going back - Nothing Window broken, unclean and kettle was noisy, tape on the bathroom floor, bath dirty, skirting boards thick black debris of dirt, when you pulled the bed out for the little one floor had not been cleaned or hoovered
- Gibbens (7/5): -
- Martin (6/5): - Rooms have been used to housed people, so looking a bit tardy. Carpets could do with a clean.
- Farooq (5/5): We were not happy - The property is at good place The rooms were not clean carpets dirty and slow shower
- Verified traveler (2/5): Family trip - Booked 2 rooms for 2nights & both rooms dirty & broken/untidy,. We reluctantly stayed & we would never stay here again & definitely not worth the money
- Muhammad (3/5): - Location Smelly room
- yi (2/5): -
- Jason (6/5): -
- Clossick (4/5): -
- Marek (9/5): -
- Janice (8/5): - Friendly staff okay location mainly need a modernised the building or rooms serve it purpose.
- Eliana (6/5): "Needs Better Cleaning and Maintenance - The room had a microwave and a fridge, which were very convenient and useful during the stay. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The entrance carpet was dirty, which didn’t give a good first impression. The bedroom carpet was ripped and looked old, and the bathroom also appeared unclean. A refresh of the interiors and better housekeeping would really help improve the overall guest experience.
- David (1/5): Awful manager, dirty place. - Appalling manager, no help at all, discouraged us rudely and uncaringly on booking system to cancel.
Refused to help get refund on early departure.
- Stella (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stella (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stella (6/5): Pleasant -
- Doyle (7/5): absolutely top notch sheryl - added chanel’s to the tv and garage next to it shower did not work
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Ok for somewhere cheap to stay wouldn’t go back - Cheap and ideal location The fusty smell
- Elliot (5/5): Passable -
- Dawn (2/5): Did someone order Salmonella? - I found a bag of chicken in the warsrobe which was at lwast 16 days old, bathroom was dirty and had a broken soap dish on wall with sharp edges
- Tepeya (10/5): good location ,comfort - service and room nothing
- Muhammad (1/5): Bad -
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (6/5): - Couldn’t get through as it says contact ahead of time. Not very friendly service on check in walls were dirty surfaces not maintained well enough. Shower was rubbish
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice, but need to be freshed up - The hotel, room and staff are ok. The mattress needed changing as it was saging a bit and in curtain positions I could feel the base through it and the was a bad odour on the upstairs corridor. But you get what you pay for.
- Janet (1/5): Awful - Absolutely nothing Everything
- Sally (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kim (5/5): Passable -
- Patricia (1/5): Avoid this dirty hole - nothing the place is disgusting, dirty ,rough .It's a knocking shop ,avoid .we left and stayed at the Premier Inn much better
- Howard (1/5): We didn't stay as already stated. I suggest you remove the property from booking.com. We just left. - Absolutely nothing Appauling condition it very tatty, run down, scruffy rubbish all over outside, stuck behind a petrol station and a Starbucks coffee shop. The beds were so basic I cannot say where I thought they came from.
We walked out and found somewhere else to stay. No way were we sleeping there.
The next morning we returned the key.
We would very much appreciate a refund
- Mjh (10/5): Great stay - Very nice stay at fantastic price
- Stephen (6/5): - I don’t expect much from two star accommodation but this was just sloppy. Food detritus on the cabinet work in the room, housekeeping needs revisiting. Not too easy to find either. It could be good but not T the moment.
- Denton (6/5): - Location behind a petrol station doesn't help, but neither did the full bins and dirty laundry by the front door with flies humming round it doesn't help.
- Chris (6/5): - The chair was battered, shower was cold otherwise not bad
- Linzi (3/5): Never again - Location of property was the only plus There were cobwebs everywhere and dust. The carpet was dirty and my feet were sticking to floor and so dirty. There was 3 very thin pillows. The mattress was so u comfy dipped in the middle. We didn’t want to stay this first night but it was so late. Ended up leaving late the second night and not staying.
- _stephT12345_ (2/5): Do not visit - Disgusting! Booked in for 3 nights only managed one! Terrible place, filthy, needs closing down. Please dont stay here. The filth under the bed would make you vomit. Holes, stained mattresses. I can not stress enough how bad this hotel is. Couldnt shower as so dirty in the bathroom.
- chrisrL6523TT (6/5): In a time warp - We used it as a one night stop off, halfway home. Cheap, £47 for the 2 of us, and boy it wasn't worth anymore. The place is so stuck in the 70's, our room, the whole thing needs a massive revamp. The orange and purple walls were absolutely superb (NOT) , and should have stayed in the 70's, plenty of plaster damage from furniture movement, the bathroom is equally in urgent need of an update. Once you have booked in you go through in to the downstairs corridor, and for one moment I thought I was in a Fish Dock, there was a terrible smell, no attempt to air freshen it
Sadly, the place has seen better days for sure, but very little effort appears to go in to it. If you are happy to spend not a lot for the sake of one night, you will be ok. Be warned though, be prepared to take a couple of mugs/beakers for your drinks as the cups would be more suited to a dolls house they are that small. Although we both slept well, it could and should be a lot better.
- Quentin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location used this hotel few times Only thing i have noticed is ground floor corridor has a smell of damp could scare people off if asthmatic
- Jahangir (10/5): Exceptional - Price and clean No shampoo and bath soap was in bath
- Bronwyn (2/5): Very poor -
- Ismail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel was very reasonably priced and it was clean . It was basic but for the price it was good apart from the smell The terrible smell throughout all the rooms me and my friends stayed in . It was like a mouldy smell that definitely needs addressing. I would have scored higher if it hadn't been for this
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - The room was a bit too hot
- Philip (5/5): The room offered the normal facilities, I stay frequently but never experienced double trouble b4 - The first room I was given had a major leak from the bathroom shower. Someone had put a towel behind the bath taps but there was a continuous drip from the shower controller onto the towel below; after talking to reception, I was moved from 204 to 209.
When I moved into the new room and opened the mini fridge and found that the door dropped down an inch and nearly came off in my hand (hinges loose etc.,). When i closed the fridge and lifted the door the top fitted but the bottom needed a push from my foot. When I tried to turn on the main light, it didn't work from the main switch near the door or from the double switch by the bed?. Fortunately, I sleep on the right side of the bed, as the left bedside light didn't work either.
- Alexander (5/5): Passable -
- Helen (4/5): Disappointing. - Fridge. Biscuits. Location. Arrived to fusty smelling receotion/corridor. Handle missing off one window so therfore couldn't open it. D. When mentioned to receptionist response was someone broke it so we've removed handle.. They had no fan to use either in very warm room. Room itself dirty round all edges of carpet and the smell of weed disgusting. Receptionist not helpful at all. Won't be returning
- David (7/5): It ws exactly what we needed; no complaints - Pleasant room, good value. It is not clearly marked from the road.
- Helen (1/5): Smelly and dirty and dusty room. Worst experience ever - As you walk in the metro inn the place is just not looked after at all .. weeds by the main entrance and 2 dirty bins . As you walk in there are big bags of linen just sat in the vestibule type area.. see pics .. so it’s not the best look for a hotel . Plus there are 2 old dirty looking arm chairs by the reception area .
The receptionist was pleasant and gave us our key . We walked up the very dirty and worn stairs to the 1st floor .. and found our room . As soon as we got in there was a horrible smell .. we both went back down to reception and told the lady on the desk . She said that nobody had been in the room since Thursday .. however prior to that someone has been kind of ‘living there’
She offered to go and spray our room with some industrial strength air freshener and we were asked to stay in reception, my partner asked if we could change rooms. However we were told it was not an option as hotel fully booked .
The decor in the room was dated and old and worn. The carpet all threadbare .. i found an old sweet wrapper under the bed, there was a layer of dust on the microwave
The bed had no mattress protector .. and the sheet on the duvet was too big so it was hanging on the floor .
. And a stain of food on the inside of the glass
The bathroom was awful .. the shower curtain was filthy and needs to go in the bin.. see photos . We ended up sitting outside on the benches by the petrol station as we could not bare to be In that room.
So the room spray had not worked . The linen on the bed did not smell fresh . Despite being told by the receptionist it was!
All in all we would never return to the metro inn
- Relax12434022421 (2/5): absolutely vile but better than a park bench - the room 206 absolutely stinks of "old people" it has obviously been used as living accommodation for someone.
it is vile!!!
complained to woman at reception who sprayed the room, while couldn't hold eye contact said the room had a guest staying for "about a week" you could tell by the smell of the reception and water damage ceiling that this place has passed its sell by date.it should not be used as a hotel.the carpets are grossly dirty all through and the place just absolutely stinks.
sje also said" because the room is tidy" she couldnt mo e us as the hotel has no spare rooms available.
I could have laughed hard in her face- but after a couple of rum and coke just felt sorry for the poor employee who obviously needs the job and pittance paid.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY REALLY DESPERATE!
its somewhere u can go to the loo and have a wash and kip instead of sleeping on a bench somewhere.
thats what im doing tonight.lol
- Victoria (3/5): Worked for what we needed, wouldn't stay again though. - Location and communication. Very run down - in need of more than just a lick of paint. Fixtures and fittings were in a bad state of repair.
Room 109 - window, no handle to open, bedside stand ripped off wall and not replaced, very strong smell of damp, bathroom floor uneven and flooring coming away, bath heavily stained.
Room 107 - bed uneven and sloped, massive chunks taken out of the desk, net curtain in a shabby state (ripped and poorly repaired in places) bedding felt damp, bathroom grubby.
Expect a certain level of cleanliness despite it being a budget hotel
- Tracey (10/5): - My room was excellent an location was great too. An staff where friendly, helpful
- Shoyab (3/5): Poor - Expectation was not met as if this hotel was was the homeless. Smoke and bed smell all over the corridor,
Badbugs and little spider inside the property.
- Adele (4/5): - Exactly as expected for the price
- Danny (5/5): Passable - Friendly stuff
Bedding seemed clean and towels smell nice No shower gel
It smell like mold in the corridor and stuffy in the room
Room was full of dust
- Mary (7/5): Rather tired down-at-heel establishment. - Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. A little shabby
- Sean (6/5): - Interesting visit, bit dusty but bed was comfy and had a decent nights sleep. Convenient 24 hr food place next door.
