Guest Reviews
- Elinor (8/5): Great hotel and exactly what I needed in a great location. - This hotel was perfectly located for me, and the room was large and clean and there was parking for my car, as well as a charge point that I could use. Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was exactly what I needed. The hotel is clearly a little older than some with decor, plumbing etc. This was not at all important to me, but if might be important to someone else. It was clean and everything I needed so, really not that much of a negative in my book.
- Eddiees (9/5): Good - Good location š š Everything š the only niggle not enough toilet paper š
- Edward (8/5): A Value for Money Hotel in the East Cliff Area with a Prime Location - Excellent location with bus stops right outside the property. The staff, including both reception and housekeeping, were friendly and pleasant. The free WiFi worked well for general browsing and emails, with minimal dropouts. The bedding and towels were clean, but would suggest that housekeeping ensure rooms are hoovered and that bedside tables, as well as other touch points, are wiped down before the next guest. Overall, a quiet and comfortable stay.
- Simone (10/5): Pleasant stay with great staff!! - Very quiet and clean. Staff are wonderful!! Nothing! Would book again and recommend

- Stig (7/5): Aged but comfortable stay - The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed, clean linen and bedding, tea and coffee facilities, convenient location, on-site parking, and easy check-in. There were some minor maintenance issues, and the building and facilities are clearly past their prime.
- Dormechele (8/5): -
- Roger Groves (6/5): Could do with a refit. - Convenient to town. Parking okay. Would have liked a better duvet. Poor finish to bedroom and bathroom. Quite clean though except top shelf of wardrobe; we did find two hankies and a pair of underpants that we put in the bin. At nighttime there was nobody there to ask for a spare blanket for a cold night.
- Philip Rennie (8/5): Went out of their way accomodate me when the trains were screwed up. - Went out of their way accomodate me when the trains were screwed up. Water pressure in the shower was poor.
- Ashby (7/5): - As a single female staying i felt safe at night in the room. Room was a little worn in places
- FARUQUE (7/5): -
- jasen (8/5): Brilliant location - It was clean but a bit dated, tea and coffee in the room, 2 min walk to lots of restaurants A bit dated
- Dominic (9/5): Excellent place - Good location clean and quiet Nothing
- mike (7/5): Budget Hotel but great price - Nice Big room TV had lots of channels and hotel is very secure with magnetic doors to entrance to hotel just need a number code which was easy. Didnāt have to pay for parking result. Shower was very small in room 9 and mattress very hard and the hotel seem to have a distinctive smell about it in that room.

- Bartek (3/5): - Parking was free,10 minutes to the beach, big room selft ,check out you leave the key in the box (reception) The kettle lid was dirty, even the bowl where the coffee and tea sachets were was dirty and hair was visible, disgusting, the bathroom floor was also dirty as if it had been cleaned in the last minute that how I can see and I have photo also to provide, the fan also was so dusty in bathroom.Bed has weels and rolls when you want to sit down, there arecno locks.
Small TV you can't see anything from far if you want to watch in the evening.
There was a spiderweb above the window and in the bathroom.
The water pressure was so low that it was hard to take a bath.

- Darren (8/5): Great location and perfect for what we needed - Easy check in and friendly staff. The room was quiet and the hotel is in a great location. The room was basic but clean. Itās fine for a night over. The bathroom is very tired and the shower was not great
- Faith (9/5): - Wonderful reception
- victor (1/5): Room 38 small very unclean very undated and we had to ask to be moved because it was so dirty outdated and I swear it ha - Nothing I liked about the property. It was very very outdated and unclean. Unclean dirty to be honest,
outdated all rooms must be at least the eighties to early 90s , no heating , āterrible shower, didnāt work properly very out dated at least 20 years old , for the price paid not worth it at all , Ā£75 a night definitely the worst hotel we stayed in, car park quite small luckily there was not much cars in car park at the time we stayed .
- Bhownick (10/5): - Exceptionally fascinating I prefer this is the best hotel value for price
- Brian (7/5): A very good, value for money hotel, near to town centre and BIC (about a 10 minute walk). Donāt expect luxury, but for s - Donāt expect The Ritz, but for the price we had a good sized room, a decent bathroom and very courteous staff. Reception shuts early, if you have an issue after 6 o clock you might have an issue getting hold of someone (we didnāt have a problem, so canāt say how easy it would be).
- Nandini (8/5): -
- Liam (1/5): I wish I had read reviews first. Lesson learnt. - Close to the venue we went to. Firstly the place was filthy. The bathroom seemed to have not seen a clean in an age. There was liquids on the door I would not like to guess was.
Overall the place made us feel dirty and lousy. Yes it was cheap, but that is not a reason for paying customers to have to stay in such filth.
There was no hairdryer as stated.
There should have been opera glasses provided if guests wanted to see the television.
My bed squeaked so much it constantly woke my partner who could barely sleep in any case.
Wish I'd read the reviews first.
I am surprised that Booking.com would present this place to their customers.
An exceedingly poor show all round.
Think I will use my common sense and book one of the usual Premier / Travelodge type hotels with Booking.com's intervention.
- Gill (5/5): Central location but generally disappointing - Central location
Parking included
Lovely staff
Good sized room Only one plug socket worked
Dirty carpet with last persons wrapper on floor , unhoovered
Woke up freezing , no heating , felt like all the windows were open !
Took about 5 mins for hot water to flow for a shower .

- Em (8/5): -
- Tomasz (6/5): actually I would stay there again - There is a car park and is freee
Location is great
Spacious room - well above what expected- own bathroom - everything was average good
the good weather helped
fairly close to a local tesco express - 2 mins drive or 10-15 mins walk this is a kind of hotel that passed its prime time to say the least but it does the job if your expectaions are low
heating was not working so if you are looking at spring/summer time you be fine, otherwise be alert
the hotel is kind of spooky, old fashioned, i would not be surprised to see the ghosts of the previous owners at night etc
there was two of us and the room was SPACIOUS and so was the bathroom and I liked it
Everything was simple, the reception staff didnt want to be there and I can not blame them - if the reception staff was welcoming it would have ruined the whole pictue of this place
- Peter (9/5): Very satisfied - Good clean hotel with all facilities we needed. Would have been a 10 if the TV worked Television didn't seem to work.
- Julie (5/5): Not the best hotel but ok for what was needed for one night - Good location Cold dark and empty looking only one member of staff seen
- Ella (5/5): - Location is great, very clean and and tidy Windows were broken was about my freezing all night heater was so small it didnāt warm us up.
- Gray (6/5): - Location was good Towels were dirty and dusty spots around the room
- ELIDON (5/5): Not worthy more then £20 - To noisy to cold and no clean towels very bad Towels and noisey
- Tracey (8/5): Good value for money, ticked all the boxes for us. - Very central for Our needs N/A
- Michael (8/5): Great value for money šš - Great value for money, great big room (number 12) It was cold and the heating was not turn on, so the room was very cold.
- Ben (8/5): Top notch - Close to shops and bars WiFi wasnāt great in rooms
- Harris (5/5): -
- Brown (8/5): First break of work - Staff friendly and helpful great location as near shops and local attractions..short walk to the beach and sealife centre and lovely walk in the gardens. We go there due to it being that our favourite restaurant the funki griller is about 15 to 20 mins away from burley court hotel. Nothing
- Anjali (1/5): - What was there to like. A broken window that opened on a windly day. Room heating not working. Bedside socket not working.Yes theh changed the room for us in the night, but still the room was so cold the heating was at max but not efficient. The board torn and projecting at the side of tha bathtub, causing risk to trip and fall. The flush in the toilet was very week. We booked for three nights, but stayed for just one night and moved to another hotel. We had a horrific stay. Don't put false reviews and trap tourists. I will never recommend this place for anyone What was there to like. A broken window that opened on a windly day. Room heating not working. - Lucy (8/5): -
- Peter Bateson (9/5): - Excellent comfortable room and good value for money in good location.
- Penny (1/5): One in a million stay! - Upon arrival we were greated by exceptional customer service. They were really accomodating with sorting out parking and an additional room key!!! The stairs were a bit of a climb with cases. but the sights of the sparkling mirrored wall made it easier seeing my smeared reflection of lugging cases up the stairs. The room was very inviting, lovely fresh decor, clean bed linen and very warm and cosey. There was an adequate selection of refreshments on offer along with a freshly descaled kettle and out of date long life milk. The ensuite was exceptionally clean and had obviously seen a lick of paint in recent years, but not fairly recently! The view from the room overlooked an enticing swimming pool if you were a wild water rat. This hotel is very shabby, but not as in shabby chic as chic had not been invented when this hotel last had any money put into it. All of the above as it's a load of lies. Don't go by the photos at all on booking.com - do a google review search to get the full picture!
- Gavin (8/5): -
- Robert (7/5): Another nice comfortable stay. - Close proximity to all eateries and venues, and the room prices are good for a cheap getaway. And great parking. Itās a budget hotel it is was it is.
- Geoffrey (6/5): Cheap but tacky - Only paid £72 for 2 nights for me and my son.
Room was a good temperature Beds hard. Could feel the springs. Shower had mildew. No blinking light on the smoke alarm, no mattress protector. Very basic all round.
- Manpreet (10/5): -
- Shaun (9/5): Comfortable and good value for money - Big, clean and comfortable room. Not really a dislike, just an observation. The bathroom could use a silicone touch-up or a few sprays of HG-anti-mould spray to clear some black marks in corners
- Reynaldo (8/5): - Excellent! friendly staff (Amid and Luke) convenient location .nice and warm room comfortable bed
- Helena (9/5): Good stay - Location Nothing
- Helena (9/5): Good stay I recommend - Location. Room very quiet Everything was good
- Tom (6/5): Overall very good for a night or two. EV charging was a great addition. - Location was excellent, free parking, and convenient EV charging were great. The staff were friendly. Did a job. Needs updating. Bathroom was especially tired but clean.

- Claire (5/5): It was comfortable, although the hotel is very dated and in need of some repairs to - The security of the property in the evening, with access to the hotel only via key code I booked room only, but the hotel info suggested there was a restaurant where meals could be purchased, but this was never offered upon arrival and I saw no food service at all. The hotel had a bar, however it was never open.
- Sergiy (10/5): Pleasant overall experience. - Good location, access to swimming pool, free parking. Internet connection wasnāt great.
- Tiana (6/5): - The bed was comfy good view and we got given a fan ! 10/10 The bathroom had no light, the floors were loud and we got told off for being "too loud" at 11am.
- Hajira (6/5): My stay was pleasant and relaxing... - Bed was comfortable, tub is narrow bot for big person only slim people ...could do with bathroom upgrade and get rid of the old furniture, upgrade to modern look rooms:) Bathroom and taps need to be changed , bath tub too narrow and needs to have a shower curtain to avoid water on floor
