Guest Reviews
- M Maruping (2/5): - It was horrible we didn't even have water to bath or flush. The most horrible experience ever!!!!!
- J (2/5): I should have taken pictures, but didn't!! - The room's floor was so dirty I had to throw away the socks I walked on. We found condoms on the floor and the bathroom basin leaked, we had to put the fridge's plastic drawer underneath it and all the towels to dry the floor. The shower floor was full of dead little goggas, we boiled the kettle three times to try and rinse it clean. When we finally could shower there was no hot water.
The only good thing was that the bedding looked new and clean. I really cannot believe that putting deceiving pictures on a website is lawful or fair. We didn't plan to sleep over but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to book a place quickly and not being travelers and in a hurry, we didn't look at the reviews. Oh yes, we even had to ask for toilet paper. At least the toilet paper was 2ply. Even this picture of the swimming pool looking so beautiful is not true. The pool is empty and upon the looks of it , for some time. I am really disappointed that wherever Echo Lodge is registered, they are not hold responsible for living up to their advertisements. It was already 22h00 and too late when we arrived to look for other accommodation. I couldn't get away fast enough the next morning.
- DION (2/5): Please remove from your listings - Nothing like in site pictures. Swimming pool empty and in decay. Room had no working fridge. Broken toilet. Shower could not be used due to lack of any water pressure. One cup and one glass for two guests. Bed bugs in bedding. My wife woke up with bites covering her top body. The only reason we stayed the night was due to fatigue. No breakfast. The place is in total decay and should be removed from all listings.
- Axel (6/5): - Für eine Durchfahrt nach oder von Gaborone O.K.
- Axel (6/5): - No food available,no utensils in room. Hot water, beds comfotable
- Elmarie (2/5): Hotel Disaster - The gate to this riun of a property had to be lifted by the receptionist only one hinge. 4 cars were under repairs on the property. No bar or restaurant. This propert has no future in the tourist market in its current state. I took no picturesbto dissapointed
- Torsten (2/5): - Very Disappointing Experience
I arrived at Echo Lodge and was shocked to find no staff present at all—neither at reception nor anywhere on the property. I walked through the entire premises, including the restaurant and office, and couldn’t find a single person to assist with check-in. I sent a message via Expedia immediately, but no one responded or contacted me afterward. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially for a confirmed booking. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re prepared to be completely on your own.
- Ravi (2/5): - Pathetic service. Nobody picked up our calls requesting for our check in timings. So we could not stay.
- Quentin (2/5): Terrible place to stay - Dirty room and cocroaches everywere wont see me again
- Violet (10/5): - Very friendly and helpfull
- Peet (2/5): Terrible Echo lodge - The place falls apart the pool is rotting the Aircon TV fridge not working no kettle in room. Bar and dining non existence. Bathroom no plugs in drain. Mosquitoes eat you up as you have to open windows as AC not working! Sorry but what they advertise and what you get differs worlds apart.
- Paul (2/5): - Dirty and very unorganised , nothing like pictures
- Elton (2/5): Do not stay at this place you'll be sorry - This was extra bad. We booked and got confirmation but on arrival they told us it is full. The reception area was dirty. The receptionist was not helpful. The rooms was a nightmare. Be prepared that the room will be full of bugs. I stay in a nature reserve but we don't have so many creatures on the floors on your bed flying around.
Everything in room is broken. The geyser making a noise whole night. The shower was blocked.
This place is expensive and it's not worthy.
Everything was a. Ess
- christian (2/5): Sorry to have to say this - No towels or soap in the room, dirt on the floor, stained smelly not fresh sheets, outside an obstacle course of mud and puddles, broken coat hangers on the floor in the closet, many bugs on the wall and finally a spider from the pillow case. We had to leave to another motel down the street to get any sleep at all.
And even without these issues, at $124 it also very overpriced for the basic accommodation it is in this part of the world.
