- Emile Steenkamp (8/5): Quiet, relaxing, just what we were looking for. - The view from the cottages are amazing. To see the wild life walking up close was magic
- Tracey (8/5): Lovely place. Lovely host. - The views. The large shower. The hot water didn't last for 3 showers. Perhaps gas an option?
- Xola (8/5): -
- Mariette (6/5): Nice view! - Nice scenery Nothing I did not like
- Bac (5/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): - Loved the animals, only a few cottages so quite peaceful, restaurant in walking distance of you don’t want to cook.
- Khanyisa (9/5): -
- Vosloo (10/5): - Beautiful view, and very peaceful.

- Terri (4/5): While the view of the animals was beautiful, it was absolutely not worth the price we paid or the level of fear we were - very clean and beautiful view of animals. The bed was also good quality. When my husband collected the key, he was questioned multiple times about whether there were only two people staying, even though that is exactly what we booked for. We would have no reason to lie about this.
Our biggest concern, however, was the safety issue raised at check-in. My husband was told that there is a large wooden pole used to secure the sliding door because people try to break in. He was even shown scratches on the lock and door frame from previous attempted break-ins. This information caused me great distress. Considering the amount we paid, I felt extremely unsafe, could not sleep, remained on high alert throughout the night, and we left as early as possible the next morning.
While I understand that break-ins can happen anywhere, this property is very secluded with nothing nearby. Being told—at the start of our stay—that break-ins occur frequently enough to require such measures is unacceptable, especially given the premium price charged. This level of risk and fear is not something I am willing to accept.

- Lizelle and Johan (6/5): We cannot actually evaluate all as we used it as a wedding accommodation for two nights only. - The convenience of the location and the view. The TV remote wasn't working properly. The cottages apparently only supply two clothing hangers and I had to ask for more. This is a basic requirement. The cupboards in the kitchen smelled of mould. The photos on booking.com appeared far nicer than the real thing, as there is lots of maintenance to be done. However, the manager was very helpful and accommodating. I would not have mentioned it if it didn't meet up to expectation according to the photos, as I found it functional and clean.
- Rougier Lagane (8/5): - We liked the location, the space for the kids to play, the simplicity of the cottage, the view on the wild animals from early morning till dawn! The quietness, the cleanliness. We felt very secure there. A little more comfort would be great, like loungers outside to enjoy the sunset with a good book and glass of wine. A cordless kettle! 🤭
That being said, it'a only small details which didn't impact the pleasure our stay there!!

- Benjamin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Richard (10/5): Super location, great people - Stunning location, loved the game park just behind, so much so we went for the game drive (recommend) and brought some binoculars!
Lovely quiet place to stay, but near some places to eat and shop too.
Owner was knowledgeable and really helpful too.
We really want to return!
- Rosalind (7/5): We enjoyed our stay! - The view was lovely. Disappointing that the restaurant on site was not operational at the time of our stay. As the area is remote, it may be advisable to notify patrons thereof before their arrival so they can plan accordingly.
- Georgie (8/5): Very good - We loved the view and being able to watch all the plains game, lots of birds. Quiet and peaceful The pillows

- Kingsley (8/5): Great place, would definitely return. - Figuring out the WiFi password was difficult and it didn't work when connected.
- Frances (8/5): - Lovely view of the animals on the next door game farm
- Valeska (9/5): Wonderful stay in Stellenbosch area - Spacious cottage with everything you may need, pots, pans, crockery, kettle, etc. spacious bathroom, nice patio area where we could see the animals (even if they were a bit far), comfortable beds. It felt very safe. Very convenient to have a separate bedroom and also extra bunk bed provided in the kitchen/living room. Parking in front of the cottage was very convenient. Great communication with host on whatsapp. Restaurant next door with playground and bouncy castle. Perfect. It was all great! The only issue was the fact that we could not drop the bags early anywhere as there is no reception.
- Carin (7/5): Great base to explore the winelands - Great view and bed. Aircon only in living room and bedroom was very hot.
- Daniela (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- De (8/5): Very good -
- Madèl (8/5): Very good -
- Carmen (1/5): Overall, my WORST experience ever! - The photo's displayed on the web was NOT how it really is. The apartment was VERY SMALL and on the photo's it look much more spacias The outside braai was VERY dirty and in poor condition, and when we requested for it to be cleaned we were told that we must just use it as it is. They couldn't even provide us with a bruch so we could clean it ourselfs!!!!
I will NEVER go back there again!
- Rushil (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (9/5): Lovely setting, basic but beautiful accommodation and great to go with kids. - I really liked the large patio and lawn The bed wasnt very comfrotable
- Mark (10/5): 10/10. Will definitely use again - Superb little cottage in amazing location. Jacques very helpful in settling us in Nothing
- Fanus (7/5): Good -
- Schantel (8/5): Very good - loved the wildlife!
- Christy (6/5): Clover Cottages - 1. It was close to the Nooitgedacht where we attended a wedding.
2. We could see table mountain from our cottage. The bed felt uncomfortable. We hardly had power while we were there, no loadshedding back up.
Geyser didn't seem sufficient for a family of 4. There were only 3 towels in the cottage and we were a family if four. Only 2 extra blankets in the cottage and a third couldn't be provide when I asked housekeeping.
- Hanlie (8/5): Very good -
- Emarciav (8/5): Very good - Loved the view and the friendly welcome - also the fact that there is a restaurant on the premises with lovely pizza! The fireplace is always a win for me! Couldnt find reception to pick up the key - on the site it advised to pick up keys at reception but the signage was not clear where to go when we arrived. The owner did however made contact with us earlier the day via Whatsapp but for some reason I missed this message and only read it after we searched for reception. :-)
- Tyron (8/5): Very good -
- Innocent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronwyn (9/5): Will definitely go back - Amazing view of the animals. Quiet and tranquil. Nothing
- Chad (8/5): Very good -
- Ilse (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage, the environment is so tranquil. Was an amazing stay! Saw Elands, Springboks and Zebras right at our back fence.
- Natasha (6/5): Great View - The view is great. Comfy beds and clean linnen. There are a couple of things missing from the kitchen that is needed for a longer stay.
They need to upgrade their TV’s but we didn’t use them anyway.
- Dicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernard (9/5): Superb -
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about our stay was awesome! We most enjoyed the wilderness in front of our back door. On the other side were many cows and other farm animals. Nothing negative to say
- Chon (10/5): wonderful setting lovely place great friendly staff - view of the animals nothing
- Visser (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Superb - The only thing that was missing was an electric blanket on the bed. We stayed in the middle of winter and could hardly sleep, it was so cold. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
- Nina (9/5): Beautiful, Clean and Spacious. - Wonderful location with a beautiful view. The patio and rooms were gorgeous and clean. Located close to many wine farms and we had no issue getting an uber to and from the cottages. Overall everything was great, the only thing that could use some improvement was the hot water temperature. Set at it's hottest the water was just just lukewarm.
- Mikhiale (1/5): Bad -
- Menanto (9/5): Wonderful! Will go back! Great location to do lots of other activities in the area. - To have a restaurant with live music and pony rides for the kids was a bonus! The kids enjoyed seeing and feeding the lamas on-premises as well. Being situated next to a game reserve we were spoiled with visits near our fence from zebras in the evening and springbok in the morning. We could also see gemsbok, eland and giraffes.
- Claudine (8/5): Very good -
- Lucianne (2/5): Not Equipped For Winter - The view and location. No gas in gas tank so we could not make any coffee as the accommodation does not have an electrical kettle.
No extra blankets and the accommodation is extremely cold.
Panel heater and fire place was going for so long and still the place was freezing cold with no means of making coffee and no extra blankets.
Definitely not equipped for winter.
- Mrs NT (10/5): Excellent - Lovely place xxx
- Dale (8/5): Good stay. - A good place to stay for a short time. Nice and big and was convenient for me with my business. The Manager, Jacques was very helpful and friendly. Comfortable but sparsely equipped kitchen. Restaurant closes really early so prepare for that. Stunning views, very comfortable bed and the place is clean.
- Willard (8/5): Don't fret over small stuff&you'll like your stay! - Was a little hard communicating with the property ahead of the trip. We needed to check in after the very limited check in time, which they allow, but we're only given a South African phone number. They don't respond to email or by text message. We had friends in a town nearby who helped us, but if you don't it could be a problem. On the day of check in, they did give us a phone number to use with the app WhatsApp, but we don't use that or have it on our phones. It worked out, but made me nervous coming from so far away(USA) without instructions! Caretaker was very nice, Cottages were a little rustic, but were as pictured and clean. Housekeepers were friendly and did a great job! Internet was mostly not available, but it is out in the country so kind of expected! We lost power one night completely(we bring flashlights and the room had a candle) and felt it was too late to call the caretaker, so we just waited til morning. She came right away to find the problem(a cut power line) and got it fixed in a couple hours. The air conditioner cools the main room well and lowers the temp enough in the bedroom to sleep. Shower had good water pressure. The view in the distance of Table Mountain was lovely(especially sunset!) and the morning parade of the nearby safari reserve animals was wonderful! We saw eland, springbok, wildebeest, zebras and a whole family of giraffes! Bring binoculars! Fridge is small and if power goes out, you'll lose stuff like milk, but it's quiet and relaxing!
- Craig (6/5): Fine for a short one-off visit. - Not great mail replies and advice. Not great signage about where to go in arrival. Everything fine but that's the limit. Basic accommodation. Bar and restaurant closed early when we arrived. Binoculars would be a good idea to take or rent. OK for a short one off visit with a difference--could see oryx and giraffe from the patio area, also a view of table Mountain in the distance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great view, beautiful sunsets
- Robert (8/5): Good! - Great for kids, very nice and secluded - only bad thing was that the floor was dirty.
- Darius (10/5): Beautiful surroundings - Beautiful setting, very secure (guard on patrol all night outside), large cottage. Only gripe is my wife would have liked to have a dressing table in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved hanging out on the terrace looking out for Zebras, Girraffes and watching sunset over Table Mountain - so peaceful. Prutty was really knowledgeable about the local area and gave us lots of tips for things to do. Great location with so much within 30 minutes drive. We’ll be back :)
- Denis (10/5): Une superbe adresse.
Accueil sympathique, chambre propre.
- Paul (10/5): A place with stunning views - Petty house with your own parking space with a stunning view over a private game reserve. Here we saw some giraffes, zebras, impalas and many more. Our kids loved the big turtle who came every evening to the gate.
It has comfortable beds and a garden with barbeque.
Don't forget to bring your binoculairs!
