- Geini (8/5): The place was as describe, just a place to sleep and go about your day. - The hotel is charming, full of trees and tropical. The staff was very nice and it was a block away from the beach. We could see the water from the hotel. The room only had one night stand and the main dresser and there was barely any outlets near the bed or at all in the room. The bathroom was small and didn't have any space other than the toilet area to put our things. For girls, this is a problem with all our hygiene items. We had to take a chair from the hallway to put our things in the room.

- roslary (10/5): Great hotel, i will go back - The hotel was quiet and offered excellent internet throughout the property. I was able to work comfortably in every area without any issues. Its location directly in front of the beach was a major highlight. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant food was equally impressive. The bed was extremely comfortable, all areas were very clean, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Coffee wasn't that good in the restaurant, but still tolerable.

I only keep coming back here because it is close to catch my flights the next day without having to go through SD traffic.

Las habitaciones del segundo piso son un poco incómodas de subir con el equipaje, puede ser problemático para personas en condición de movilidad reducida.

- Imre (9/5): - Batey Hotel Boutique is a charming small type of family hotel, a little jewel in Boca Chica, which is a small town. It is very cosy with a lot of plans, very safe and very clean. I stayed 6 nights threre in March, 2026. The woman owner/ Nicole stays also there is a very helpful,conscientious and professional person. She has an eyes on everything... The service is also very helpful and good everywhere, they solve any type of arising problems. The food is fantastic! My favorite dish was a Tournedos with creamy mushroom sauce, which was outstanding, like in a 5* star French restaurant anywhere! The full American breakfast is rich with exotic fruit juice and very tasty dominican coffee. Don't forget to buy this excellent, grounded Cafe Santo for home or a present at a street shop. I tryed also a fantastic house speciality cocktail called Tropical Martini a couple of times and the served wines: Chardonnay and Merlot were also excellent! This Hotel is situated from a couple of steps from the shore of the sea side. There is a walking route there along next also the see. I was told at the hotel, that in a couple of week, they will open a new family hotel very close directly on the seaside with panoramic wiew as well!... You can make a one-day excursion to Santo Domingo by the very reliable driver of the hotel at an acceptable price. You can see a very nice arboretum on the way there and the enormous, spectacular C. Colombus monument. Inside of the city the colonial district is very cosy and spectacular with the old and colourfull houses.

The room had no view, apart from some dodgy back wall about a metre away. The area is horrible. There was a vibe i got from the minute I went to Boca Chica, lots of old western men and prostitutes. It is seedy. It is a shame, because those same people who hang around, touting for business, begging or slobbing around, could be employed by the local community, hotel owners etc, to clean the streets, the beach and rid the place of the disgusting sex tourism. I think paedos are here. I was glad it was such a short stay.

Camera piano terra, finestra che non si apriva, bagno oltre che cieco ,piccolissimo, ma la cosa per me più brutta spostando la tenda è facendo luce con il telefonino mi sono trovata un muro davanti più o meno a 1 metri. Conclusione alle 4.30 di notte ero nel parcheggio a passeggiare.

- Gerben van der Weerd (1/5): Dirty practices in Batey Hotel Boutique - Nothing !! ..😳🥶 More than 4 hours delay Iberia to Madrid... there we missed the connecting flight to Santo Domingo Dominican Republic... emails were sent via Booking.com to Batey Hotel Boutique (with a time difference there 5 hours earlier than in Madrid) that we had a day delay and our 2-night stay had been postponed by one day... upon arrival so 1 day later the accommodation was rented and there was no negotiation... we also had to pay for 1 day because apparently nothing was reported to Booking.com... very dirty practices of this Hotel... which after investigation also has a very bad reputation!!

- Tatiana (10/5): I recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and quiet stay. - Aside from having the beach across the street, the property is absolutely gorgeous. The touch of the plants, the little waterfall in the pool brings such tranquility to the facility. Gorgeous to say the least. I think the customer service in the restaurant can improve, be more friendly more welcoming. The food was delicious though.

È arredata con ottimo gusto ed alementi vintage nelle parti comuni, le camere sono abbastanza semplici ma spaziose. Abbiamo avuto un problema con l'acqua calda ma ci hanno subito cambiato camera. Le camere sono un po' buie.

Las instalaciones son cómodas y muy acogedoras . La comida fue buena muy rica, y el bar le añade un punto más . Toen we aankwamen bleek het hotel niets gedaan te hebben om de reservering te wijzigen en de kamers waren allebei verhuurd.Schandalig en opportunistisch, in de wetenschap dat wij no show kosten moesten betalen.Wij(Gerben en ik)zijn na een flinke discussie kwaad vertrokken.
