• Morgan (10/5): A great place to stay! - The property was clean and bright. There were lots of areas to sit outside and it was a great walking distance to everything. The hotel also had everything you could need- water, food, amenities, etc.

The experience was amazing. Starting from cleanliness to security to staff everything was perfect. The staff members even helped with his birthday cake cutting at the property Loved everything. It’s slightly inside the town but that we knew even before booking so no complaints

Girls might face problems because they have to go to the third floor to use the washroom, or the only other option is near the main gate. I didn't like this arrangement.

• Prince Agnihotri (4/5): - The staff was accommodating Other than staff, it's far from special locations of Varanasi, and to get there you'll need to pay as low as 100 for one way, beds were very loose, by moving you can shake the entire bunk setup, sanitation wasn't up to standard as I know gostops... And my room lacked ventilation window, it was like a horror set.

• AJAY KUMAR (7/5): Excellent stay if you want a budget hotel . - Very clean room , bed sheets, toilets and excellent co operation by staff . All gadgets and electrical points were working perfectly. Room openings were only through your gostop APP. Clean food and tea available all the time. Water was free. Location was inside. Less space in room . No cupboard for clothes. No chairs .

• Rithick (4/5): DISAPPOINTING STAY. LITE MEANS YOUR CARE IS TAKEN LIGHTLY. - Staff was very cordial, happy to help, nice people!! They were very considerate that I was on my bike, let me park inside the property premises for security, prompt on FnB orders or to help sort out wifi issues. But that's the end of the good things. It felt like the property hasn't been maintained since it opened. Stained linen, scaled plumbing, furnishings falling apart on you..... My shelf near the bed couldn't even hold a phone without falling out of the wall...my bunk mate's fan grill opened and fell on him...common area linen SO STAINED. The whole property is infested with lizards... Taps out of order..... A mess, basically. To add to all of this, there was some persistent issue with power cuts in the block, AND THERE'S NO POWER BACKUP..... I was there for a night to rest in between two legs of my biking trip, but there was no rest.... Power cut off every 20-30 mins for 10-15 mins.... I've stayed at multiple gostops properties, but this has been a rather disappointing experience. I didn't know when I booked a gostops LITE property, they meant LITE comfort and hygiene.

You will get a decent common room with AC and TV. You can sit in balcony and chit chat. I didn't take much pictures of inside 🥲 Loved it Food prices were on the higher side, the room i booked was too compact. Terrace was not clean.

• Philipp (3/5): 4 nights in goSTOPS lite Varanasi - The good 🙂 I got a bed and an ensuite shower The bad 😐 Overprized The ugly  ☹️ No smooth check in, passport has been taken and left alone and unattended in an area where monkeys had access 😱 ☹️ No key was given to me upon check in, so when leaving the room to get my passport back, I couldn't enter again (receptionist disappeared in the meantime)  ☹️ "Things" I should wait for to be done in 10 minutes after arrival and for check in ... don't know, what things and after waiting a few times 10 minutes, still nothing the whole afternoon. Time wasted for nothing.  ☹️ hours after "check in", finally an english speaking employee knocked my door. I was told, to download the gostops app that also works as your room key.  ☹️ I really dislike to be obliged doing something (here: downloading an app with any authorizations I will never use after)

The location couldn’t be better – it’s just a short walk away from the major tourist attractions and the beautiful temples, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the vibe here is perfect for meeting fellow travelers. I truly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi!

• Anis (7/5): Good - The location is pretty good for Varanasi, about 10 - 15 min walk to the centre or the Ganges The staff is very friendly and helpful The 24 bed dorm is pretty big and clean, there are curtains to have some privacy and a big locker to put your backpack. I was there during Maha Shivaratri, thats why it was more expensive. I didnt have a toilet in the dorm, so I had to go outside of the building to the toilet and shower. There was no place to put your stuff in the shower. Thats why I couldn't stay there to long. Other dorms they have toilets.

• Margareth (1/5): AWFUL - This property is an absolute dump. The rooms have leeks, mould and they smell like toilette. I tried to stay and asked for a new room but same issue. The room was dirty and smell was unbearable. The rooftop doesn’t even have a chair or anything that can be used for you to sit or enjoy the space. The other shared area was dirty and again very unpleasant. They also organize a poker night from 9pm until 11pm - honestly what the hell?!?!? Nothing it’s awful - the location as well is terrible and the property is hard to find. I’ve mentioned that they should have a sign on the main road to help traveler and the response was it costs money.

The bathroom was pretty terrible; as many other hotels do, you shower in the whole room, so there is water everywhere. The pressure was bad and there was no hot water. The location is also pretty far from anything interesting.

It had a sharing door opening in the room with the dorm (it was closed though). That was not good the voices from dorm were coming inside.

It has all basic facilities and even has food service. Decent Location, not too crowded and auto and other means of transport can be taken just nearby. Budget is also affordable. Overall good hostel at average price with all basic amenities. Cleanliness should be improved more. Need to pay more attention while preparing the room, in my case bucket and mug was missing in bathroom.
