Guest Reviews
- Louise (7/5): - Apartment was specious and in a great location for exploring. The kettle does need replacing. There is a lot of noise from the bar downstairs on a Friday and Saturday night until about 3am
- hannah (9/5): A beautiful stay in Florence, would stay again. - A beautiful apartment with a gorgeous terrace. Nothing it was perfect.
- Catherine (9/5): A really quaint little apartment. The roof top terrace would be amazing in warmer weather so intend to return. - Excellent location for visiting the cathedral with plenty of restaurants and cafes with walking distance too. Beautiful old doors and ceiling and really cosy. Bed very comfortable. There are 60 stone steps to the top so if you have any health problems or alot of luggage this could be tricky.

- HAMON (9/5): Super séjour dans cette magnifique ville. - Le logement est très bien placé dans Florence et à proximité des sites incontournables. Nous avons tout fait à pied.
- Thijs (7/5): - Balcony Mind the stairs
- Yvonne (1/5): Anbefaler ikke dette stedet - Ligger i en bråkete gate med mye støy fra trafikk og en nattåpen bar rett ved siden av. Umulig å sove om nettene her. Nøkkel som ikke fungerer optimalt. Stillere. Det var visne blomster på verandaen og sofaen var borte. Trappen opp til leiligheten var lang og bratt og egner seg ikke for eldre.

- Patric (10/5): A very nice apartment, great location, and a fantastic outdoor patio. -
- Jo (10/5): Modern and comfortable, great location and a lovely suntrap patio. - Loved this little flat and the patio area. Very well laid out, it was bigger than I was expecting it to be. Clean and modern, everything you'd hope it to be. Great location, very close to the train station and a short walk to the main squares. Felt quite safe walking back to the flat at night. Really enjoyed sitting out on the patio with my coffee (in the morning ) and my wine (in the afternoon and evening) listening to the comings and goings in the street below, a fab little sun trap. It was lovely to have tea bags and coffee there, but would have been nice if there were a few other essentials there, ie sugar and a nicer smelling shower gel (we travelled with hand luggage so was counting on a few basics being there for us at the property). Lots of stairs to reach the flat at the top of the building, luckily we are a fit couple! Can't remember if this was pointed out in the original listing. Bit of a strange smell coming from the shower drain, but knew we could pop into the maintenance office (a few doors up) if it was a real problem. Nothing major we didn't like though, and we would definitely stay here again if we visited Florence in the future.
- Natalia (10/5): Amazing stay at cozy apartment in heart of Florence - Cozy apartment with amazing terrace near Santa Maria Novella Station. Extremely kind and hospitable Monika, who can help with every questions. Comfortable beds, full equipped kitchen, warm apartment. Everything was great! Strongly recommend, and dream to come back one day❤️ -
- Loretta (6/5): Bed was comfortable, kitchen space is cute. Agency is responsive. Nice to have a terrace. - The location is great, central to everything we wanted to see. The 3 flights of stairs are dangerous with big luggage. Not recommended if you’re carrying anything other than a small carry on. No hot water for two of our days. Outdoor furniture is damaged, but they don’t seem to want to replace it, many reviews about same.
- Marguerita (8/5): We enjoyed our stay ! - Spacious and central location The very steep narrow stairs was hard to navigate with luggage. The front door key didn’t work properly had to jiggle and jiggle to get it open !
- Sue (6/5): The terrace and location were the best things but overall we felt it needed more care and attention - Location was the best thing: a few minutes walk from the tram station, good local restaurants and easy to walk to the main attractions. The terrace was a lovely bonus. The host was helpful in sorting out some issues with the hot water. Beds were comfortable too. It’s a good area to stay in. For the money, it had a tired feel. Terrace rattan furniture broken, plaster fell off the door frame, the boiler was temperamental and we often had no hot water. The kitchen had no oven so cooking facilities are limited. No instructions given in the kitchen about how to work out how to use the hob, dishwasher or microwave. Plenty of instructions about extra costs for toilet rolls, late check outs, extra towels etc though. Kitchen utensils were very limited for cooking.
- Dr (7/5): Good location - This was an amazing apartment right in the heart of everything in Florence. You cannot beat this location. The beds are comfortable, good quality linen and very spacious for the center of the city. This did not bother us, it's part of the European experience,
but there are a lot of steps to get to the apartment. Just something to note if you're with kids or have mobility issues. But it didn't bother us. Beautifully redone and maintained. There is no Nespresso or similar coffee machine. The apartment is right above a rowdy pub which made for sleepless nights due to people fighting, screaming and police sirens. The experience with the staff was odd - they were not very friendly when I struggled to find the door for the key lock even after carefully reading the instructions. I also broke a glass by accident which I offered to pay for which turned into a rather surreal exchange. This put a damper on our stay.
- Boris (9/5): Superb -
- Emandim (7/5): Good -
- Andy (7/5): Florence is fabulous even in the rain! The Attic has lots going for it just needs a little TLC. - Great location, just a short walk to the centre and all its attractions. The rail station is close too which makes getting on the trains to Siena / Pisa easy and no bother. Don't get me wrong we liked the Attic a lot so these criticisms are meant to help.
We arrived late as our flight was delayed (4hrs) so it was dark which didn't help when looking for red house numbers! The instructions for the location of the keys (in the lock box) needs to explain there are 2 house numbers one in black one in red. The easiest explanation would include "two doors to the left of xx you will find the lock box".
The keys / locks to the front door are especially temperamental - Monika had to show us the technique to get in. And that wasn't perfect either - They need new locks! This was quite annoying
Travel light as the 65 stairs are quite a climb
The terrace is lovely but the rattan furniture needs to be replaced as there are plenty of holes. Maybe not an issue in a rainy week in Florence but...
- Candice (9/5): Superb - beautiful property with fantastic views, close to everything noisy at night
