Everyone is professional, kind and absolutely care about your accommodations. And if you're looking for a cozy hang out to grab beverage their outdoor patio with the comfy cushions and fabulous cuisine is unmatched. The Park James Hotel is a must if you're going to the Bay Area especially Silicon Valley!

From check in to check out we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff is amazing! From the front desk lobby to the restaurant and bar to the cleaning crew everyone was professional and friendly. Daniel, Renee, Jackie and Lyle helped make our stay the best. Not to mention the award winning food while eating at the outdoor patio. The atmosphere and ambiance were outstanding... cozy and comfortable. We traveled from Seattle and were pleasantly surprised with the Park James and what made the trip even better... we learned the GM is a former UW Husky! #GoDawgs

Sabina at the front desk was very polite and welcoming, helped make check-in quick and easy, answered our questions about the area, and made sure we had everything we needed during the stay. Overall it was a very comfortable experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well appointed. The staff were the most friendly I have ever encountered. I have eaten at a lot fine restaurants and food ranked among the best. Lyle, the GM was attentive and made us all feel like we celebrity guests. I wish I cold rate this higher than a 5.

Sabina always welcomes me with a warm smile and makes me feel comfortable right away. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the live music along with dinner at the restaurant is a wonderful bonus. I truly enjoy staying here and would definitely come back again.

I was here for work and nervous about traveling as a new mom. Eleni went above and beyond to accomodate my nursing needs. I never leave reviews, but did just so I could give her this shout out! She definitely made the stay 10/10! The rooms were updated and clean with high end amenities. I also appreciated that they were focused on sustainable efforts. Location is also in the heart of downtown, so lots of great food options, cafes and bookstores that are walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I’m traveling for work.

The hotel is modern, clean and boasts an excellent food menu, cocktails and wine list. The staff is all super friendly and helpful 24/7. Lyle the general manager is kind, friendly and genuinely cares about your experience. Daniel the bar manager makes a delicious cocktail and is very friendly. It felt like staying with family, a home away from home in an excellent location. We’ll be back!

Sabina was incredible, she made us feel welcome right away and checked in on us throughout the night. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that energy carries through the whole staff. Everyone was friendly and made things feel so seamless. The ambiance was boldly classy. The live music, they had a harpist going on, gave the space so much character and made the night feel special without being overwhelming. The food was honestly so good, one of those meals you keep talking about after you leave. Valet was surprisingly fast, which made a big difference, especially on a busy night. Always nice to see. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Huge thank you to Sabina and the entire team for making it such a memorable night. I’ll definitely be coming back. _______ P.S, I love the e-tip QR codes, especially if I didn't make it to an ATM on the way. And the glass pitchers in the room instead of $8 plastic water bottles is a major win. Thoughtful touches always seem so simple yet are so rare.
- Passport22403023576 (8/5): Park James Hotel - My stay at this hotel was short, but it was nice. The rooms were spacious and clean, and I got some really good sleep in that king bed. I really liked the hand soap and lotion. They smelled good and it was nice to have something to moisturize my hands with after washing them as much as I do. I did not take advantage of the bar/café, but that was a very nice addition. I also want to shout out this hotel for their friendliness, kindness and security. I had placed a delivery order and wanted the driver to come up to my room and leave the order there but before allowing the driver up the hotel called my room to confirm that I was okay with this. I think that speaks volumes to their security and attentiveness. The location of the hotel is also really nice and close to a major shopping center.
- Joanna_Luvs_2_Travel (10/5): Wonderful front staff, hardwood floors, large openable windows for fresh air. - In an unexpected need and turn of event, my family member and I spent the Christmas / New Years holiday at the Park James. The hotel room is super clean. I heard traffic sounds and people from upstairs footsteps - so the sound insulation is not like those bunker-quiet large hotels, but neither bothered me much. I loved the hardwood floors and the floor to ceiling window that could be opened for fresh air. The hotel is a small boutique hotel without a big lobby or pools but it served its purpose wonderfully. To be in the middle of Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Atherton is special. Sabina, Aris, Josh, Eleni, and Mr. Lyle Tanaka (general manager) are wonderful front desk staff that made us feel welcome and in short this was our home away from home for the holidays. A most unusual holiday season this was.

The front desk managers, Tony and a lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, were so kind and helpful from the moment I arrived. My car carpet was extremely dirty and needed vacuuming — Tony and another male staff member went the extra mile and helped clean it for me. I’ve honestly never experienced such thoughtful service. The restaurant staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location couldn’t be more convenient — surrounded by great restaurants and shops, and close to Stanford. The valet parking was reasonably priced, and coming and going was super easy. Five days didn’t feel like enough. I’ll definitely be returning in the summer! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and genuinely caring service.

- juliesY4868CU (10/5): Literally the BEST hotel I've ever stayed in... - This hotel was top notch all the way. Every single detail was obviously carefully planned with both comfort and health in mind. There was coffee/tea in the room with a pour over, no dirty/wasteful Keurig. The restaurant had a mostly Organic menu with delicious food. In the bathroom, they used a Clean line of products (Juice Beauty), and instead of bottled water, there was easy access to a filtered water/ice station right near my room. Even the room keys were made of wood, not plastic. Everything was so clean and well designed. Internet access was quick and easy and had a solid connection. I wish more hotels were like the Park James...they are setting the standard for guest accommodations. Staff were wonderful, too. I'm very sensitive to fragrance, and usually when I return home from a hotel, I immediately shower and wash everything to rid myself of whatever "signature scent" was pumped through (and the scented detergent they use for bedding), but not with the Park James! I came home smelling like myself! Not a trace of toxic fragrance at all. I wish all hotels were like this.

My boyfriend surprised and took me here to celebrate, and it honestly made the night even more special. If I could give 100 stars, I would! I started with the sizzling Half Moon Bay squid and had the Miso Barbecue Glazed Black Cod for my main dish. Both were absolutely delicious. The sizzling squid especially reminded me of home because my mom used to cook this dish, and it brought back so many good memories. The customer service and ambiance were beyond amazing. I felt so welcomed and happy to celebrate my birthday here at Park James Hotel ❤️

I’ve traveled often for work, but this was my first time traveling with my 3.5-month-old baby. I was very nervous, with so many things to consider like how I would store his frozen milk. Ahead of my trip, I called the hotel multiple times, and they were always so patient, walking me through everything they could do to accommodate both my needs and my baby’s. Tony and Josh (and the entire staff) were absolutely incredible throughout my entire stay. They helped with anything I needed and always with a smile. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

- mkg2805 (10/5): Friendly hotel, great location - Our second stay at the Park James has been great. Easy check in, very friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are smallish but we aren’t in ours much. The bartender is wonderful - educated us about some CA wines we didn’t know of, and made an effort to be extra welcoming and nice. The sliding door to the bathroom is really heavy, and bathrooms could use towel bars if they want us to dry/re-use towels, but these are minor complaints . We were in town for a music festival (Music at Menlo) just blocks away so the location was perfect. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Easy uber to and from SFO so we have walked everywhere.

The place has a nice modern feel but still feels cozy and welcoming. Our room was super clean and comfortable — just what we needed. Sabina at the front desk was great. She was really friendly but also professional, and made the whole check-in process easy. Overall, a really good experience. We'd definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.

Our stay was short, as we had to be at hospital at 5:15 am, but the hotel was clean, comfortable and friendly. Only thing we didn’t like was $75 extra fee for our dog.

The check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were genuinely kind, not just going through the motions. We booked a room and used one of their conference rooms for a meeting, which worked out perfectly. It was quiet, comfortable, and everything just worked, which is all you really want when you're on a schedule. Dinner at Oak+Violet was surprisingly good with creative dishes, solid service, and a relaxed atmosphere that didn’t feel overly formal. What really stood out though was the staff across the board. Everyone we interacted with including front desk, housekeeping, and the restaurant team was friendly, helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about the guest experience. It made the whole stay feel welcoming and easy. Overall, the whole stay felt smooth and thoughtful without trying too hard. Would definitely stay again.

Two incredibly comfortable queen beds—pillows and mattress were perfection. Everything in the room felt intentional: a sleek multi-purpose kettle for pour-over coffee, a roomy closet, a fridge to store food, and a great desk setup if you’re working remotely. They’re proudly plastic-free, which I really appreciated. The indoor-outdoor gym was surprisingly well-equipped, and the whole property felt clean, fresh, and calm. Service was warm and efficient. The restaurant downstairs serves fresh, healthy food, and the outdoor Oak + Coal space is perfect for a relaxed meal. Location is a win—right next to some great cafes and local spots. Valet parking and a smooth cashless check-in made everything effortless. Can’t wait to come back! A big shout out to Tony for providing such exceptional service and being so attentive, warm and proactive throughout our stay.

Love the casual bar a restaurant. The food at Oak and Violet restaurant is creative and very tasty. The fitness room is situated outside so you need to be aware of temperatures.
