Guest Reviews
- Stela (10/5): - I liked the location of it! You can drive either north to Gros Morne or south to the tablelands. The staff were also great and amazing. Good location.
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Paiement-Lamothe (8/5): Séjour agréable - Chalet bien équipé et confortable, bien situé pour nos plans de randonnée.
- Carl (9/5): Nice place to stay. - Excellent location near Gros Morne National Park.
- Cyndee (10/5): Thumbs up - Parking at the door. Enjoyed the hot tub. Very cozy. Nothing - appreciated our stay.
- Julie (7/5): Ok but not great. - The cottage was basic...the shower was good with plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable.
The fridge was new and was clean. The other kitchen appliances and equipment are all very old and need to be replaced. Too much trust is put in tenants to clean as plates and cutlery weren't clean and there was an old potato on a greasy tray in the oven.
- Sébastien (10/5): - Out of the 14 days we spent in NL and the several places we stayed at, Bonne Bay cottages offered us some of the best nights of sleep of our trip.
- Émilie (10/5): - Bon rapport qualité prix, lits confortables, propre, le spa.... mon conjoint a pu faire du feu ce qu'il a grandement apprécié
- Steven (8/5): - This was very close to the park, which was what we needed. This is not anything fancy, but the bed was comfortable, the TV had good reception and channels, and we had a fridge and stove. Note that there’s nothing really close to eat so good to get something before you come down there.
- Patrice (10/5): - Accueil chaleureux ! Explications sur le logement et les alentours au top !!
Chalet extrêmement bien placé à l'embranchement des tablelands et du mont Gros Morne !
Chalet très confortable !
Merci.
- Amit (10/5): - The cabin is clean. The owner offered prompt support. Gros Morne National Park Ticket & Entrance is 1 km away. I suggest owner should keep men & women Or Unisex shampoo and shower gel instead of only Men.
- Kenneth (6/5): - Kitchen needs to be updated. Electrical outlets needs to be replaced
- Kathy (8/5): - A real cottage! But it worked for us. Clean and very comfortable beds.
- Keith (10/5): - No complaints. Bed was comfortable for the short stay I needed. Nothing to write.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Annie (8/5): - Very clean and quiet. The spa is nice and clean too. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside is that it is a bit far from Rocky Harbour
- faina (10/5): - Nice secluded area. Very spacious cottages with comfortable bed. They have free laundry, although we didn't use it as well as a hot tub.
Conveniently located at the junction of the eastern and western Gros Morne access. About
25 min drive to Rocky Harbor and 30 min to Tableland. Definitely would recommend this place. None
- Karen (10/5): Great place to spot a moose in the wild! - The highlight was definitely seeing a moose behind the barn upon check-in! We only booked the cottage 2 nights before staying there, as we had plans change due to the weather. We were pleasantly surprised by the close proximity to Gros Morne, as well as a convenience store nearby, (with alcohol). The cottage was clean and tidy, and it was also nice having the picnic table & BBQ there to use. The cottages are close together, so if you're looking for a private retreat, this may not be the best choice.
- Tim (10/5): - Andre and Nicole are friendly, conscientious hosts. Our two bedroom cottage was clean, comfortable, well-furnished. The bathroom could use a little more space for a larger shower.
- GEORGE (10/5): comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. - unique, quiet and comfortable place to stay in gros morne and reasonably priced. hot tub was a real plus.
- Chantal (10/5): -
- Sebastien (10/5): Nice place to visit Gros Morne area - Nice place to visit Gros Morne area. They let us use washer & dryer
- Carole Anne (8/5): - This was great for our needs. Super location to get to all the sights in Gros Morne. The cottage was not high end, but was clean and comfortable.
- LORI (9/5): - The person running the place was very friendly and nice. The cottages are older but we'll kept . It is in the middle of nowhere but so fantastic
Great night for a beautiful sunset and the stars filled the sky.
- Stephen (8/5): - Owners were friendly and area worked for us. Amenities could use work. But still nice.
- Cheryl (8/5): -
- Ann (8/5): - Easy to find, location was good. Mattresses could be upgraded.
- Kristina (10/5): - Very well equipped cottage. Kitchen had everything we could need. Clean, great location, friendly! The hot tub was awesome!
- James (10/5): -
- Chenyi (8/5): - Cabin seems a little bit outdated, although it is absolutely clean and all the appliances function perfectly. The owner doesn’t seem to like to pick up the phone— just leave a voice message and he surely will reply! And they are very nice and welcoming people.
- Sara (10/5): -
- Sue (7/5): We would come back - Clean and well equipped Front window blind slats were slightly broken allowing room to look into the unit. Not enough shelves to put toiletries. Main bed mattress somewhat noisy
- George (6/5): - The furniture looks like it was second hand. Coffee maker broken. All the condiments (coffee, sugar were open containers already used)Shampoo in a half empty head & shoulders bottle. No hair conditioner and no microwave. No ac either.
- Susan (6/5): - This was a sentimental pick - we stayed at a different location nearby decades ago with our kids. So she was poor, furniture in poor condition, curtains need replacing. The bed was comfortable and it was clean enough. We probably will not stay here again.
- Nagma (9/5): -
- Orlaith (7/5): - Really close to Gros Morne. Had everything we needed .
- Carol (9/5): We stayed at Bonne Bay for 4 days and did road trips every day. We could bbq and made coffee every morning. Perfect spo - Right there at the park Needed a microwave
- Mitchell (4/5): - Cottage was clean Outside area unkempt needed grass cut and trimmed and weeds needed to be removed from cottage door and surrounding some cottages. Our hearts sank when we arrived at the outside being so unkempt signage was old, old building materials needed to be stored in a fenced area so public didn't see it. Owners were friendly and we made these suggestions to them. I was in the cottage business for 20 years so I'm speaking from experience.
- Moiz (9/5): - Excellent location close to the Gros Morne Park. Includes Wifi and a kitchen with cookingware, stove and fridge, excellent for a long visit with a group No service for phone in the area
- Jennifer (6/5): - Very clean but very old needs a lot of updates
- Masterson (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): - Great 2 bedroom cabin
- Stuart (10/5): - Nice spot very near the Gros morne entrance. Staff was nice and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and calm place to stay. Closed to the Gros Morne national park entrance. The cottage is spacious. We appreciated the spa.
- monidipa (8/5): - A quiet place, peaceful, had reasonable facilities for cooking at home. Had to drive a bit to get groceries.
Internet reception was not consistent and the drapes were not dark enough so it was difficult to sleep in (sunrise was at 5:30 AM and the drapes weren't dark enough to screen out the sun).
There was no microwave but there was a reasonable stove, oven and refrigerator/freezer.
All in all, a good and memorable experience staying here.
- Amy (10/5): Highly Recommend - We loved our stay! Great location, clean and super friendly staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- Beth (7/5): Good -
- Virginia (10/5): Convenient location close to Deer Lake to access Gros Morne. Cottages had everything to be selfsufficient. Staff was ver - Comfortable cabins with full equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Enjoyed the hot tub. Could use some lamps for better lighting and black out curtains
- David and Goldie (10/5): - We had a one bedroom. Bed was quite comfortable and very peaceful there. Nice that it was very close to Gros Morne
- Joseph (10/5): - Very nice and clean
- Ackermann (8/5): Very good - Great location, close to Gros Morne National Park. However, you need to have a car.
The cottages are well made and equipped with everything you need.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no cell phone signal at the cottages, but there is WiFi.
- Randeniya (10/5): Exceeds the Expectations - It was like home, there was everything like home.
- Hamilton (7/5): Good - The location was great. The shower was way to small!!! It was very difficult to take a shower. The cottage is very dated for the price you pay.
- Elaine (5/5): Passable -
- Hart (8/5): - A very pleasant stay. A small microwave oven would have been nice. The WiFi extender worked very well. There is no reliable cell service in the area.
- Chi (9/5): Superb -
- Randy (10/5): - It was very close to Grose Mourn National park. Had a hot tub and the cabins were tidy and clean. Had an Airfryer microwave combo qnd offered Coffee. Only stayed two nights but were quiet and relaxing
- Liang (10/5): - We had a great stay
- Lexanne (10/5): - Are the units beautiful? No
Are they comfortable and functional? Yes, absolutely.
Cabin was very clean!!
Bed is comfy and linens are soft.
Kitchen is eat-in & well equipped, albiet small. Television is easy to operate and while cell service & wifi fluctuate, just wait a but & it'll come back. There was a wifi booster in our cabin, which I'm sure helped.
The location is excellent for use of the park, especially to visit the Tablelands and other areas around Woody Point & Rocky Harbour.
It was a bit too wet to use private bbq & picnic table or the large communal fire pit area, but all are available.
There are no restaurants or shopping in the immediate area. Easy to find location, right on Rte 430 with a big sign. Hostess is friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for economical, highly functional but not luxurious, accommodations.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb - The cottage was spotless. Good location just outside the park. The owner gave us a large pot to use to cook our lobster. Bed could be updated.
- Monique (8/5): Very convenient location. Enjoyed the hot tub. - No breakfast available
- Rahul (7/5): Good -
- Kenneth (10/5): Great spot!! - Check in was very easy, owners are really pleasant! Showed us around the property and into our cottage. We loved the spot. Very clean, beds are super comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing. Will definitely book again!
- Laura (9/5): The lady that checked us in was very sweet and informative. Would love to come back someday - It was nice and close to all the fun things we had planned in Gros Morne as well as close to all the amenities of Deer Lake. Very clean and cozy. Felt right at home :) Nothing bad to say!
- Kayla (10/5): wonderful cabin stay - perfect spot to stay to adventure in Gros Morne, perk of having a hot tub and a sign up sheet for times so you don’t have to share with other guests. space was very clean and had everything you needed to cook a meal, coffee/tea supplies. bed was very comfortable.
- James (7/5): Good - Beautiful beach.
- Morgan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tara (7/5): Old school cabin in nature for great price with good facilities - There was a full kitchen with BBQ, a fire pit, and a spa. Bed was really comfy and good wifi. The owners were lovely. The location was right in nature and good for the price but you do have to drive at least 30min to get to any of the attractions. Over all it had good facilities but old school furnishing in the cabin. Didn’t bother us but was a little unexpected.
- Pauline (6/5): Cabin life - Cabins are dated and furniture in poor condition. No microwave in kitchen. Outside grounds need tidying up and maintenance.
- Barbara (8/5): - Clean quaint cottages in a quiet peaceful area. Close to the Tablelands and Rocky Harbour.
- Darcy (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (8/5): - Great bed and enjoyed the hot tub. A micro wave would have been nice. Coffee was provided.
- Sao (7/5): Happy and satisfied for our stay, also convenient to go to tablelands, gros morne or the town - Very clean and tidy, staff very friendly If there is a microwave would be better
- Princess Ann (10/5): - The cabin/cottage is clean, area is so safe and the hot tub is the best!! so relaxing and had so much fun during our stay.
- Devon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zichun (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage nothing
- Carmen (4/5): Significantly over priced for the accommodation quality/standard. - Nice location. Quaint The bathtub had hairs in it.
The furniture is very old, as well as the appliances throughout and particularly kitchen.
The TV is in an odd location.
- Rose (8/5): Very good -
- Jianhui (10/5): - Everything is good, just little bit hard to find the location.
- Joyce (10/5): - Roomy cabins with full food preparation kitchen
- Monique (8/5): - Beautiful location
- Anwar (8/5): It’s very good close to the gross mornepark. - Location is good. But my expectation is the place is close to the pond. But overall it’s good 😊 Front door has no screen. Can’t open the door at night to have a fresh air.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, cottages are nice and sturdy for keeping any bugs out!!
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Karolina (9/5): Good experience - Overall good experience. The cottage is a bit outdated but spacious and comfortable. Nice comfy bed, clean bathroom, well equipped kitchen (no microwave, would be good to have it), bbq at every cottage, hot tube is a nice addition. The best advantage is the localisation - 30-40 mins to the main attractions of both east and west side of Gros Morne.
- Clancy (8/5): Clean and cozy cabins, with friendly hosts in a great location. - We met our friendly hostess, Nicole and she offered fresh garlic from the garden. The cabin was very clean and tidy. Very comfy bed and extra quilt blanket. The location is very good for exploring Gros Morne Park. We stayed an extra night 🙂👍 Our stay was very good and we had no concerns.
- Arshad (6/5): - Liked check in, convenience to park entrance. Cabin quite clean.
Nothing nearby.
- Chris (9/5): Awesome stay thanks - Hot tub outfitted kitchen bbq
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle Teresa (10/5): - I enjoyed staying in Bonne bay cottages. They were very clean, staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed their hot tub, and walks around the area. If you are travelling to Newfoundland I highly recommend staying in these cottages as it’s in the middle of a lot of beautiful sight seeing adventures:)
- Laura (10/5): - What an absolute lovely place to stay while visiting Gros Morne National Park. Cleanest cabin (and hotel room) we’ve ever stayed in. Great location. Hard to think of a better place to stay. Highly, highly recommend.
- Elaine (9/5): We were able to rest and recuperate from our adventures in Gros Morne in this convenient location. - Although a bit dated, the cottage was clean and comfortable. Its location close to Gros Morse a bonus. The staff were responsive to our requests.
- Janet (8/5): - the cottage was well equipped, clean and comfy. Grounds were a little overgrown.
- Martine (6/5): - The owner is a lovely woman who was very helpful with suggestions about the area. Our cabin was very clean but very dated, the outside areas needed a lot of attention. Location was great and very convenient to get around to the major attractions.
- richard (8/5): - Good location.
- Ron (8/5): Very good - The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Hot tub was great....clean.
Beds were very comfortable. Location was great!
Also, partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources to provide our first moose sighting next to our cabin , was awesome!! Everything was good.
Perhaps more hooks for towels.
Also , maybe take lower half of closet for a built in dresser. That would provide a counter top and drawers for clothing storage.
Not complaints....just suggestions.
Cheers.
- Randy (10/5): - Old school charm with modern amenities
It's what we were looking for
On the water with hiking near by and an iceburg
- Vicky (10/5): Overall very enjoyable stay at the place. - The Hot tub is excellent. well equipped kitchenette as well as accessories e.g. foil paper, the main ingredients for BBQ / cooking. Very comfortable environment. Friendly hosting too.
- Katherine (10/5): - I found the cottage to be exceptionally clean. Caroline was very kind and helpful.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
