- Kim (10/5): That view! - A lovely comfortable home with amazing views. Highly recommended ! Nothing!
- Kathleen (10/5): Fabulous. The house and views were exceptional. - Nothing
- John (10/5): The best stay of our 3 week Australia tour - The location is amazing. The views and the silence were just what we needed.
- Louise (10/5): The serenity and attention to detail made this an exceptional stay. We wish we could have stayed longer! Would highly re - We loved absolutely everything about this property! The location, The Church, the linen, bedding, towels etc. All the condiments in the kitchen, the serenity of the setting and the pool! We loved everything. No negatives at all.

- Benz (2/5): - The home stay was nice. We stayed last night at your property and, unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. I wanted to share our feedback in a constructive and respectful way.
Firstly, we were disappointed to find that the kindling wood provided was green, and the lighter had not gas inside it and would not light, which made it difficult - impossible for us to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, the air conditioning unit had not been properly set up. We did our best to google and find the manual and eventually figured out how to get the correct settings on the remote the next morning( had to change the code to get the heating icon), but unfortunately, the room still didn’t warm up. This made our stay uncomfortable, as we had to constantly check on our baby to ensure he stayed warm. As a result, we were not able to relax or fully enjoy our time.
Another issue was the lack of a check-in process or anyone to welcome us or offer assistance in person, which made us feel a bit lost upon arrival.
Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay and, unfortunately, we do not feel that we can leave a good review based on this experience. We hope you will take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements for future guests.
- Natalie (10/5): - Beautiful, cozy little getaway location tucked into the hillside. Very scenic with grazing cattle, big comfy bed and a lovely little surprise gift. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay, we'll be back.
- Kerry (10/5): This was a gorgeous old renovated church in a fabulous location. So quiet with great facilities including a swimming poo - Location, facilities, cleanliness, amenities, close to wineries, dog friendly - pretty much everything! Nothing!
- Jacob Holm (9/5): -
- Roslyn (9/5): The view is worth the stay! - The view from the veranda is beautiful! It is so relaxing to sit out there.
The property is well suited for two couples.
The communication with the owners was prompt and informative. Considering the cost per night for 4 people, the kitchen was not as well equipped as it could have been. Our friends complained about the bed in the second bedroom as apparently there was a dip towards the centre.

- JULIANNE (10/5): We quite fell in love with The Grove and would be delighted to stay there again - We stayed in The Grove and loved the whole ambience of the property and the surrounding landscape that seemed everchanging and surprising. So relaxing, with amazing sunsets and scenery overlooking gorgeous valleys and mountains, peaceful, private and serene atmosphere. The property was clean and comfy and had everything we required. The Grove is heavenly and thoroughly relaxing. It was too easy to get lost in the view from the porch or from the open plan living area. They have BBQ amenities, a fire pit and outdoor dining setting too. There is a lovely modern kitchen with all the amenities and thoughtful additions. It was close enough to town and attractions to be convenient but far enough away to feel we were away in a world of our own. Thank you for having us. If I had to be nitpicky the couch was a bit low for me, but it was a great excuse not to get up too often. ;)

- Nikki (10/5): - The accommodation was out of town, peaceful, relaxing. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
- Rachael (10/5): Fabulous Mudgee property for the family. - Beautiful property and well kept with a lot of space for the family. Gardens were gorgeous.
Loved the lounge space and huge walk in wardrobe.
Property managers were great and easy to deal with. A little bit of love for the tennis court but not preventative of hiring the property by a long way.
- Melissa (9/5): -
- Anna (9/5): A little house with everything you need - The Church is perfect for a couple. A lovely location to spend a long weekend. Not far from the city and wineries. Our room did get Smokey, we were there on one of the coldest weekends.
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Joe (10/5): - We loved our stay here, the place was really cosy and lovely
- Danielle (9/5): Absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and exactly what you want from a country stay - 100% recommend! - When I drove up to the church I was thinking this couldn't be more perfect for my solo stay with my dog! It was exactly what I was looking for, cute, cosy and full of Mudgee country charm! It was also super clean and comfortable and everything I could have ever needed was provided. Not to mention the staff were amazing and squeezed me in last minute with an early check in and made the whole process so seamless. I will absolutely be back! Thank you to the hosts <3 The tinest thing that could be improved is to stabilise the bed as it slid on the floor a little when I got in - but this really was not a huge issue for me
- raina (1/5): VERy DECEITFUL - STAY AWAY - NEVER STAY HERE!!
I travel around a lot and am a really reasonable and respectful guest when going to accommodation places. The guys who run this place are from Solider's Point Hotel in Mudgee. They have been extremely deceitful and have charged me an extra $300 for parking a caravan on site. They originally said it was only $150 for power usage, but after getting my card details they charged me two lots of $150 without telling me the truth. They accused me of stealing some random cushion which I would never do.
Granted, we used the power for our caravan and after checking out they said they would charge me $150 total. I gave them the money. But a day later, without me knowing, they charged at extra $150, $300 for 2 nights of power is ridiculous. They won't return any calls or emails to discuss it with me either.
I travel a lot but have never come across so bad customer service and dishonesty in my life. Avoid this place at all cost. Who knows want extra charges they fine you.

The bed was so comfortable. Great for a couple looking for a romantic weekend or a group looking for a weekend away. Firewood for the firepit would have been an added bonus.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -

The only thing we faced was the en-suite bathroom sink’s plug was not functioning. Nothing

- Kristie (9/5): Fantastic relaxing and beautiful views of the valley - We had an amazing stay in Mudgee. The house and property met all our needs, very beautiful and had everything we needed! It was very peaceful and not too far to town and the wineries. We will definitely be coming back to stay here. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay at Mudgee. Nothing
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Troy (9/5): Didn't want to leave. - The location and scenery was better then perfect. We're coming back. This is my peaceful. Utensil cleanliness but the dishwasher handled that with most.
- Gwen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Wonderful as always. - Comfortable and clean.
Fabulous location and great for our dog..
The driveway had been improved since last visit . Some kitchen items not available.
Need a firewood supply.
- Trawlo (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location and the feel of being surrounded by farmland.
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved the views - spectacular. Very comfortable cottage with the extras. Would definitely recommend and book again if in the area. Directions as there are two Burrundulla roads which confused us. We did a couple of 360s to find it and it was starting to get dark.
- Michael (10/5): Fantastic house and location - Excellent 2 bedroom cottage in a great location overlooking the valley and hills Nothing
- Shinta (2/5): Says access to private simming pool. But when we arrived ,there was no pool.,On maintenance etc. - As advertised, should have a swimming pool access. If that was not accessible, you should have contacted me, and let me know.So disappointing coming with kids and paying the full amount for less service.I should get a discount pay back.
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Just delightful!! - Spacious and well appointed. Beautiful views and 100% private. Yard was not enclosed for our dog but we had a long lead to keep her out of the scrub.
- Michelle (10/5): Perfect sojourn - Amazing location. Very comfortable with everything you would need for a home away from home stay. Loved being on the property with the cows and Birdlife. We would have no hesitation recommending this accommodation and would gladly stay there again in future visits to the Mudgee area. Only it was Magpie swooping season so only had a short walk 😬
- Rosie (10/5): A peaceful weekend in a lovely property with central west vibes - Beautiful view and lovely 2 bedroom cabin
- Elizabeth (9/5): Beautifully scenic escape in Mudgee - The views were amazing--such a scenic backyard to relax in. Amazing space for kids and pup to enjoy and give parents some peace! 😁
- David (9/5): Peaceful with great views - Superb views
Modern and clean
Peaceful Poor communication with regard to supplying code to enter accommodation
No email, message or phone call to provide code.
We needed to wait and make several phone calls to receive code before gaining access
- Townend (7/5): Good - Incorrect password provided - fortunate that a staff member was on accidentally site and was able to rectify
- Roslyn (9/5): Superb -
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Beautiful stay. I would recommend - Such a beautiful spot. We had a fire (in the fire pit) watched by the cows and under the stars.
It’s a very clean and comfortable place about 10 mins drive out of Mudgee with a great kitchen and everything you need. Got a bit chilly. You will need the strip heaters going during winter (in addition to the wall mounted air con)
- Chontalle (9/5): Lovely country cottage that was equipped for a glorious stay - Perfect country cottage Electric blankets were required in both rooms. Very cold.
Also, lights on highway to know where you’re turning at night. Very dangerous
- Cloud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pelham (9/5): Great location with beautiful views. - Cabin was perfectly sized for two adults and two children. The five minute drive into Mudgee was worth it for the views alone. Aircon worked well but without it, it was quite chilly!
- Anne (10/5): Pleasantly surprised with the beautiful view and location - wonderful location, clean and modern, had everything we needed a little bit hard to find needed bigger signage
- Myles (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): - It was a lovely location in a nice clean building with everything you need.
- Jarrod (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable The whole experience.
- John (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our our stay at this delightful cottage - Beautiful location overlooking the valley. Absolutely delightful waking up to the beautiful views. Just loved it Perhaps checking that the wifi TV was operating & internet connected prior too guests arriving but only a minor issue
- Dean (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Dianne (8/5): Pleasant Accommodation - The Church is lovely accommodation although quite far out of town. It was clean and well appointed. We had issues with the Wi-fi and contacted the owner however the problem couldn't be resolved. It is a quiet location with easy parking. More towels would have been nice as well as some champagne glasses. All the glasses needed to be washed before use but other than that everything was clean. There was also an issue with the dishwasher not working. The Wi-fi didn't work therefore there was no streaming services/ satellite, cable or phone reception. An outdoor lounge area would also be a bonus.
- Kathryn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the unique aspect both chaple and location. Just exquisite. Nothing. It was perfect.
- Yvonne (1/5): we didn’t stay as we were treated so poorly . We were ordered off the property when asked to wait somewhere cool. This m - The staff . Extremely rude! We felt as though we were a huge inconvenience.
- Peter (10/5): - Beautiful view. Lovely spot
- Dawn (8/5): Great value and close to town - Absolutely loved the pool and tennis court. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful gardens! Having aircon and two fans in the room really helped with the warm weather. The photos were a bit confusing - we thought they were all photos of the studio we booked. A mosquito net will also be super helpful as there's quite a few bugs that come in.
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (9/5): Superb -
- Dave (8/5): We enjoyed our 2 nights at The Church & would return again-being pet friendly was also a bonus - The location was awesome, very peaceful & scenic The property was lovely although with a few more personal touches could be even better. Having a supply of firewood outside the door would be a useful addition ( we didn't actually light the fire aIthough I did notice the almost empty box outside the door). I also picked up a picture frame with wonderful info relating to the church & noticed it was very dusty :( A few more staples in the kitchen would be handy & more than one dish washer tablet would also be handy. In regards to the drinking water, information above the taps would have been appreciated. There are two taps & until you actually manage to read further info in regards to the drinking water you could possibly drink from the wrong tap......
- Jodie (10/5): - Loved our stay at the Church!
- Greg (10/5): - Loved our quiet & relaxed time at The Church. The garden was so peaceful & loved our visiting wrens at the kitchen window. Comfy bed & lovely furnishings! Branches on tree near outdoor setting needed trimming was the only thing otherwise, loved everything else!
- Tracey (10/5): A very cosy and warm hideaway!! - A cosy little hideaway just outside Mudgee. Very clean, a wonderful slow combustion fire which we needed every night, so comfortable and it had everything you needed. A bonus was it was pet friendly. Due to the wet weather there were thousands of snails 🙈 The road in was also a little difficult due to the rain but they had men working on it.
- Janine (5/5): Location/nature and views outstanding. - N/A Kitchen area was shabby, door broken on cupboard dirty crockery and very limited utensils/glasses.
Internet for pay TV did not work.
Location was beautiful as it was out of town with lovely views.
- Geoff (10/5): Idyllic little building in a tranquil location. - The Church is a beautiful, quaint place for a couple to stay. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Surrounding grounds gives this accommodation a real country feel.
- Debra (10/5): The church was a fantastic, nice quiet location with beautiful gardens around the property. - Nice and clean and warm and cosy on arrival.
- Peta (7/5): The Church @ Stay in Mudgee - It was nice & roomy. Had beautiful outside surrounds. The weather was quite cool so air conditioner warmed things up. There was a housekeeping hiccup. However once contact was made with the owner as there was a few issues with phone reception & undelivered messages a positive resolution was reached.
- Ady (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The whole property was exceptional! From the beautiful views to the moder, well appointed bungalow to the tennis court and pool area and creek to explore. There was a fantastic fire pit, all the wood we needed and helpful, friendly staff!
- Travelingfergs (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the rural location, the cute "church" cottage, the tranquility, the space for my dog, the amenities in the cottage! Would have liked the owner to welcome me.
