Guest Reviews
- Mia (6/5): - Although the room was in a convenient area that was walkable to everything, I was disappointed it was a different building than the main hostel. The room was clean and had everything necessary but there were cockroaches in the bathroom which was unnerving.
- Colbi (10/5): - Everything I needed and within walking distance of everything. Spacious room and good communication :)
- Solange (10/5): - Excelente localização , preço e conforto
- Peter (10/5): - Clean, great location and the bed was comfy. Towel is provided. staff Everyone was friendly
- Stephanie (6/5): - We were in a private room in a separate building although could use the hostel facilities - 5 mins away. The room was very small and 3 rooms shared the bathroom, which was ok. There was no outside space and the doors were very noisy and right next to each other so we heard all the comings and goings - even at 2a.m. It was a great location but not a relaxing or particularly comfortable space.
- Centenie (8/5): - Excellent location in old town Dubrovnik. Close to a couple of small grocery stores which was handy as the many touristy restaurants in the area were very expensive.
- Mathieu (8/5): - Cool staff
- Lisa (10/5): - Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Bed and pillow were comfortable.
Kitchen and verandah are closed between 10pm and 8am, which makes it difficult to get coffee for early risers or have somewhere to hang out while others are sleeping. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
- Fung Lin Ivy (8/5): - Nice location
- Leonardo (10/5): - Ubicación inmejorable. Precio muy razonable
- Magan (10/5): - Great location and really fun people!
- Ben (8/5): - Superb hostel in an amazing location - until you get drained by the huge crowds. Loses a star just because 50 euro for a bed in a hostel is flipping expensive - but I did book for a peak time at very short notice, and the old town is a money pit in all aspects. Worth trying to book direct in hindsight as that could have been a lot cheaper. Bring your own tiny padlock if you want to secure items in the lockers. Hostel had run out of ones to lend and I couldn't find one anywhere locally for sale
- Ricardo (2/5): Worst booking of my life - I booked the hostel for its great location. It is the only good thing about the stay.
I booked a private room for 2 nights, it was far from a room. It was basically a kitchen that was improvised to a room by including a bunk bed.
The air conditioning on the room was broken and when I took it to the staff at the reception, they just told me “what do you want me to do?”
The room included a shared full bathroom just across the hall, but also, the shower was not working. So to take a shower you had to get out of the building and go to another building to the comunal showers.
I knew I was booking a hostel and I was not expecting any kind of luxury, but for nearly 250€ per night, I expected the basic stuff like an AC and a running shower.
It was a mistake by my part, so if you’re looking to stay inside the Old Town, don’t make the same mistake and book an apart hotel, there are plenty of them.
- Aditya (4/5): - I booked a private room and it was detached and in a separate building. I had to lug my luggage around and climb 3 huge floors with 20kg bags.
No elevator, rooms as small as hell, one dirty towel given for 3 night stay and never replaced.
No soap, shampoo for private room. For dorm i would have understood. Overall unsatisfied with the room and property
- Hugo (10/5): - Great
- Eunice (10/5): - Nico at the lobby was always helpful, gave us great tips and overall great customer service. Hostel is great for meeting people and have a nice clean room every day.
- Calum (10/5): - Amazing
- Jasmin (6/5): - Not great storage space in rooms and not the quietest because of the central location and outside leisure space in hostel but very convenient location in old town. The video on how to find the hostel was helpful because the door can be easily missed with all the restaurant outdoor seating. Staff were super helpful and friendly as well.
- Matteo (10/5): - Struttura situata in pieno centro, personale gentilissimo…un ringraziamento particolare a Nicola per la sua professionalità e disponibilità.super consigliato
- Audrey (8/5): - Great location of the main building and easy to get to. Fun events and easy to book excursions through the front desk. Didn’t know there was an annex building separate from the main and that’s where I was staying so no access to a kitchen or fridge near/ in my building which was a little inconvenient but other than that not a problem!
- Johan (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well organized.
- Kaitlin (10/5): - Staff were great! Friendly and very helpful. Room was clean, bed comfy, great location and facilities!
- Alejandro (10/5): - I only stayed for one night.
Pros: Hostel is in great location, I had a nice check in experience, cleanliness was good, not many toilets/showers available but never had to wait.
Cons: there aren't any comfortable common areas to chill, kitchen area is pretty small and just a few uncomfortable seating spaces and for the terrace there's only a couple of old benches and it feels like they're going to fall apart.
Beds are narrower than a twin size.
Lockers are small, my regular sized backpack didn't fit in them.
In conclusion it is a decent place to stay for one night but probably not for longer.
- Haitam (4/5): - Great location. Horrible for sleeping. Its right next to a bell tower which goes off at 6am. And it’s super loud outside until past midnight.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Kurztrip - Einfaches Hostel mit toller Lage, Küche und Terrasse! Toller Treffpunkt bzw. Ausgangspunkt!
- Maxine (8/5): - Great location
clean and comfortable
Check in could be a bit more smiley/ welcoming and the cleaner insist on opening the bathroom door several times when I was trying to get dressed, leaving me exposed to the corridor of the hostel.
- Brenda (8/5): - The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Stefan (I hope I’m spelling it correctly) and Ana are very helpful and you can feel they enjoy their job; that always makes you feel welcomed. Thank you both for being so great at what you do. The owners of this hostel are lucky to have you 🙏 Special shout out to Stefan who really tried to help me out with my cash//credit cards issues I suffered with during my travels. I’m really sorry I couldn’t have my bank to connect with aircash 😪 But no doubt I’d come back and recommend Angelina’s stay.
- Stefanie (10/5): - Great place to stay on a budget in Dubrovnik. Close to everything and beds were comfy and clean. Would recommend
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good - Good
- Diana (2/5): - I got big bed bugs bites from sleeping there
- Anes (6/5): - Between the tiny beds and people going in and out at all hours of the night, you won’t get any sleep.
- Yunieski (10/5): - The property is good and very convenient for the price. No recomendable for elderly. You need to be in good shape for climbing the stairs. The staff were nice and very helpful, specially the person responsible for checking in called Matea. She is the best!!!!
- Nea-Janica (10/5): - The hostel was amazing 😊 O stayed at the main building and it was very clean & there was very nice people including the kind staff. Very social hostel, so you can meet new people for example in the hostel evening happenings.
- Letitia (10/5): Worth the cost - Super clean and well kept. Check-in process was easy and smooth, Milan was super kind and provided a wealth of information. He went above and beyond with service. Highly recommended. Great location!
- Dana (10/5): - Lovely staff! Amazing location- right in city center. Had a wonderful time! Clean room.
- Kiara (6/5): - I stayed only for a night, I thought it was a decent hostel for the location. The stairs are a bit of a killer especially if you are thinking that you have to lug a suitcase/bag up them.
- Francis (8/5): - My first stay at a hostel and I am 50 next year! The location was perfect and within the Walled city! You go down and lots of bars, dining options, and shopping! That’s why it was an expensive hostel for sharing with 4 others but have made my trip a good one! It is a hostel with the associated noises of room mates but facilities good and the staff excellent! Left my bags as had a late flight ang did not pay extra and all my things were safe! Would recommend to solo travellers and more so to a group of friends!
- Alexandre (10/5): - My room didn’t have properly functioning ac but great hostel with organized activities
- Stephanie (6/5): - I was very much looking forward to my stay here but it turned out to be a little bit of a let down. The location is excellent and views from the terrace are beautiful. When I arrived (around 21.30 due to coach delays) the doors where locked and lights off. I called the number on the door and was told I was at a different building even though I followed directions on the website. They sent someone to let me in and found me a bed in that building but I wasn't completely happy being a female and sharing with 4 men in a very small room. At the time of booking I had been aware that it was a mixed gender room mixed but it was supposed to be a room for 8 so more chance of a mix of men/women. Anyway it turned out fine, they were nice guys but I think curtains on the beds would improve the experience. Even though the temperature outside was 35 degrees the room was always nice and cool so I have to give thanks for that. The shower rooms are virtually impossible to get dressed in due to the size of the space and bashing your elbows. I noticed that the sink in one of them was coming off the wall, I imagine this is because people are trying to balance themselves whilst getting dressed. The reception never seemed to be staffed and the helpers (travellers working for their board) were kind but when I enquired about excursions/activities that were advertised they didn't know how I could book. I was there beginning of July so I found it strange that there didn't seem to be staff around.
- Justina (6/5): Hostel life. - Hostel in city center which is a plus. But it was overcrowded that it is very easy to pick Germs and bacterias, flu, cold, Corona name it.
I accidentally booked a 12 bed space room which I declined. Stuff were kind enough to switch me in a 4 bed space since single rooms were booked out, for a fee of course. I was very pleased that the room, toilet and shower room were extremely clean with a new touch of renovation. My roommates were very kind social.
The room was quit up that you have to walk a few unpleasant stairs, dark whole way, old and dirty then a positive surprise when you reach last floor. Beds are very small but then again you can’t expect much from hostels with roughly 10 cm square cubes with 4 beds.
It was pleasant that they have a lot of activities to offer through a WhatsApp group, one is free to join or chose what to do.

- Lilly (8/5): - Great location in the centre of Dubrovnik Old Town.
So social and such a good energy there - a small hostel where everyone is super chatty and friendly so it’s really easy to make friends.
Rooms are basic but fine. Shared bathrooms which are clean. Kitchen is clean but nothing special and there’s a patio area too !
- Myriam b Martínez (10/5): - good
- Yeonju (10/5): - Very good
- Madhuri (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. The property is right in the center of old town and the staff were very welcoming.
The guests were very friendly and there were social events every evening that made going out exploring the town so much more memorable.
- Lenna (8/5): - Very comfortable beds and friendly staff. I was placed in the annex building which was a bit strange as the bottom half seemed to be family apartments but the top half was renovated hostel rooms. There was only 2 toilet and 2 shower cubicles for a whole hallway of rooms so there was some waiting for those facilities. The shower had nowhere to keep items dry. The room was lacking in hooks for towels and swim suits. There were also not enough lockers for everyone. The AC was nice and cold and the hostel had evening gatherings and nights out.
- Keira (10/5): - Amazingly friendly and helpful staff who are happy to make recommendations or give directions. They have a beautiful terrace for common space and they have free lockers to use during the day after check out.
One of the best hostels that I’ve stayed in.
- Rory (10/5): - Awesome people, very helpful and accommodating, in a very convenient and nice part of old town, would love to stay again. Was my first experience with a hostel and it was amazing. Very diverse group of travelers and it was very easy to meet people or do activities.
- Rodrigo (8/5): Reception nobody - Morning, I enjoyed the hostel, good staff but today in the morning nobody at reception and kitchen is closed.
I waited 30 minutes!
I don't have my breakfast, I needed to ate in coffee at airport!
My eggs, bread, cheese and butter in the kitchen and kitchen closed !
The staff the hostel can eat.
Thanks.
- Julien (8/5): - Clean place, good location, nice staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best and cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great Central location. Really fun & friendly vibe. Lots of showers & toilets. Thoroughly cleaned. Tours arranged efficiently.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hostel is located in within the old town which makes it convenient for night out and scrolling the town. Staff are friendly and ther hostel provides group activities. The only concern I've about this property is the room is too small for 8 beds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had the most amazing view from our room.
The location was quiet, but in exchange for quiet, you need to climb stairs! We loved the terrace to sit in the morning with our coffee and pastries from a bakery just down the steps from the hostel. The host was very accommodating and was quick to respond to questions we had about dining and such. Overall, great place to stay and safe a buck in an otherwise expensive town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Exelent place and people's in hostel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hostel, great person in Hostel, everiting beautiful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - so noisy place to stay.. but the lovation was quite comvenient.
- Brian (10/5): Most enjoyable stay - Facilities, services and staff were all excellent. Just be aware that access to the main hostel involves a long steep climb up a hundred or so steps. That's a price you pay for the great location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is excellent. Very close to all the great sights of the Old Town. The hostel is clean, safe and well run. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The terrace has good view and great to relax on. Excellent value.Thank you for a lovely vacation
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location is very good, but facilities is kind of old. Shower was very cold.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property and helpful staff. Would return asap.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - As an older lady (52) and first timer in a hostel, I loved it.
The only thing I didn't like that it's only cash.
Otherwise loved it
- Jared (10/5): - Good place to stay for a hostel. Hot water and clean bathrooms, sheets, and property. They have events and planned activities at night and a nice balcony to chill out at. However, there is another property in the center of the city that is nicer that you may or may not be placed at. I would try to stay there. I felt that I paid more for that location and did not get it based on the pictures.
- Mike (8/5): - Pros: Nice hostel, clean and comfortable bed, air-conditioning in room very good. It is pretty close to the pick up point for the airport shuttle bus which is convenient.
Cons: The bathrooms are extremely small. The property is in a somewhat difficult to get to location. Stairs are unavoidable. Getting there via the hostel’s recommended way (by entering through the Buza gate) although slightly longer does avoid most of the stairs.
- Bruised (8/5): - For the most part, this is a good stay. Unfortunately, I hit my head (HARD) on the low doorway entering the lobby area and the girl working the desk thought it was the funniest thing ever. Even as I exited and walked past the outdoor patio I could still hear her bawling away and away and away. So, don't look to her for sympathy! All other staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed at the annex which was an awesome location. The rooms had enough space and big lockers. Staff were helpful and they have daily activities. I went for a sunset walk to an abandoned hotel which was cool. Lots of friendly people here mainly in 20s and 30s. Showers fantastic and bathrooms clean. Lovely little courtyard but too. I’d stay again.
- Anne (10/5): BEST VIBE and able to meet fellow travelers - Best Vibe and People. The hostel arranged activities and the commodore among the guests was lovely. The rooms are clean and neat, enough bathrooms to accommodate guests, and staff was helpful with attractions. Large lockers are provided. Nice location.
- Katie (2/5): Bad customer service - The internet crashed during my booking and when it reconnected the booking went through twice. It is a very expensive hostel. They wouldn’t refund me because I made the booking late. They never told me this.I lost my purse already up on arrival so all in all it was a very bad birthday for me. The staff never tried to help me or explain to me.
The manager said I occupied the bed so nobody could stay...then said nobody makes a booking so late. So they didn’t lose any money then did they...if people don’t book so late? They just gained £35 from me!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property arranges group events for guests on certain days of the week. This was a great way to learn more about the city and meet new friends! Our room was in the annex, which is much closer to the main street and pubs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. The staff is really kind. Everything was clean and in good conditions. I was in the annex building, it can be tricky to find the way to arrive there but they sent me a YouTube video and it was easy to find the place.
It can be a bit noisy until midnight because of the restaurants located outside but I didn't go to bed early so I had no problem about that.
I recommend it 100%.
- Marisa (10/5): Such an incredible experience! - This was the best decision I ever made. Ok that may be an exaggeration but honestly this hostel was so fun. Clean, bright, friendly. They have free events every night so you can meet your fellow bunk mates. It included sangria on the terrace and a cliff jump at sunset. Highly recommend it!
- Manuel (10/5): Great hostel!!! - Great location friendly staff all ways smiling and helping great vibe
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Annex was a superb location but overpriced at 120 euro per night for a basic 2 bed room with AC
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff are very helpful and friendly. Accommodation and facilities are very small spaces.
- Aaron (10/5): - Friendly staff. allowed to stay in hostel after check out while waiting for late evening transport.
- Jeff (8/5): - Clean room and bathroom. Located within the old town, which is convenient.
The not-so-good things are 1) bathroom is too small, 2) the hostel is not good if you don't want to walk along a long staircase (and it is far to go from the north gate as well) and 3) you need to prepare your own lock for the locker provided. .
- Vickie (10/5): Highly recommended - Great location, friendly staff!
- Mark (10/5): - I had a great stay here, the staff was the best part, they made it a wonderful couple days. Just be prepared to walk a lot, mostly upstairs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect location
Good please
Good people
Great view
- Marni (8/5): Great Location in Old Town! - Great location inside old town, and great staff. They send you an email beforehand telling you how to get there and avoid having to lug your bags up as many stairs (old town is pedestrian only and the hostel is at the top of the stairs). I booked a 4 person dorm and the beds were comfortable, however the room was hardly big enough to fit the four beds and lockers. The locker is also too small for most large backpacks or suitcases and you need to bring your own lock or pay to rent one. The only other drawback is that there are only 2 toilets and 2 showers for the building so it can get a bit crowded. In spite of this though it is a great location and the staff was very helpful! They also offer a bunch of tours!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pictures are a bit misleading as they give the impression of a small, quaint hostel when in reality the dorms are quite large and full of people.
The hostel is spread over a couple of buildings and the annex building that we stayed in had at least 5 rooms of probably 10 beds each.
While it wasnt rhe cozy experience we were anticipating, the building was recently renovated and spotless and had the best shower of any hostel ive been to. Location was fabulous, right in the centre of old town.
Fantastic place to stay so long as youre nor expecting a cozy and calm atmosphere.
- Sandeep (8/5): Nice hostel right in the middle of old town - It's like a proper one bedroom flat transformed into a dorm but it was really nice.
- AM (8/5): - Nice staff which was very friendly and accommodating and helpful. Room was decent, clean enough with towels and bedding. Wifi was good. Didn’t make use of common areas within hostel so I can’t comment, except our building’s shared bathroom which was okay (nice warm water, but ran out after 10-15 minutes, could be an issue if 2-3 people shower consecutively). Great location within old town, which was the best part. Some bugs in the room as they left the window open. Took a day or two to get rid of them. Overall good experience, would recommend based on staff and location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Initial issue checking in but it was resolved eventually. Lots of stairs! Great location. Good kitchen facility. Tiny room but it worked. A bit pricey but it's the city.
- Radeo (10/5): Clean comfortable and close to all amenities - Very close to all main landmarks and easily accessed from the airport
- Naomi (10/5): Great hostel in Old Town - Hostel Angelina is right in Old Town and super easy to get to-they emailed me directions twice prior to my stay which I thought was really great. Dorm room I stayed in at the main location was a bit small but the room wasn't full so it was okay and the kitchen was right downstairs. There are five buildings in all so the other locations may have been totally different. Cute balcony with beautiful trees, wifi was good. If you bring your own lock for the locker, make sure the metal part is thin, the hole on the locker is small.
- MOHAMED Kamel (10/5): - Great hostel. Excellent location, friendly staff but rooms are with limited space between beds for your luggage
- keven (10/5): Awesome place - The hostel was in walking distance to everything... the staff gave great suggestions as to where to go and what to do. Love it!!!
- Mr David A (10/5): short stay in Dubrovnik - good location
- N (8/5): Nice hostel in old Dubrovnik - Nice hostel in a great location! Nice garden terrace but closes at 10pm
- Arnold (10/5): Great location in old town - Great stay within old town though note the rooms are not all in the same building so if you are with a group of friend you may need to walk a few minutes to the other room
- Claire (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Nice hostel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Only downside is its located in the heart of the old town which means lots of steep, uneven steps to get there.
- Kazuo (10/5): Heart of old town with extremely small toilets - This is a hostel located in the heart of old town. They have a nice yard and good kitchen but the toilets are extremely small. Even a small person will find it challenging to use the showers. If you care about toilets, you will have problems staying here.
- Jodi (8/5): Cozy place to stay in Old Town - The location of this hostel is in the Old Town which is great. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The AC was wonderful when I was dying of heat after climbing a thousands stairs. The only downside of this hostel was the size of the bathroom- extremely small.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hostel was super clean and showers amazing. Great friendly atmosphere and easy to meet other travelers. Matea is amazing!!! She not only helped me plan my 3 day stay in Dubrovnik but she also helped plan my week of island hopping. You can’t go wrong with this hostel!
- Natalie (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay here! Minus the million stairs with luggage , but stairs really are unavoidable in old town Dubrovnik .
There are two different buildings depending where they put you your either high up at the top of the stairs in what is their original hostel or in the new building right in the middle of old town. I was in the new building which was amazing. Perfect location , clean beds and the room has great air conditioning . A nice common area in the back and kitchen. Showers were clean and spacious.
My only complaint was lack of hooks anywhere ! None in showers or bathrooms. And no full length mirrors. But for a hostel this accomodation was A+
- Verified traveler (6/5): Well situated - It is a nice but very small hostel. Definitely does the job for a few nights as you are in the Old Town and close to everything. There are two buildings, I was in the main one which had only two small showers and two toilets. There was also a kitchen and lounge area downstairs and a nice rooftop terrace. The rooms are quite small and most suitcases won't fit in the lockers so they end up scattered across the room leaving barely any room to move. It was very clean and the staff was great and helpful.
