Guest Reviews
- Tracey (10/5): - This is a beautiful property! We had a balcony with a spectacular view of the mountains. The hosts made us feel so welcome and were so helpful! And the breakfast was delicious!
- Jennifer (10/5): - Got exceptionally lucky to book last minute thanks to a very rare cancelation at this amazing place. The superior double with balcony room was perfect. Massive room with a nice large balcony and French doors made it a wonderful place to sit in the evening. Every detail was thought out, including a small citronella candle and lighter on the patio table so you could enjoy an evening having a nice drink enjoying the view and breeze. For anyone lucky enough to stay during one of Scotlands rare heat waves, the windows in this room provide a wonderful cross breeze to quickly bring the room down to a perfect sleeping temperature. Definitely my favorite room on our trip around Scotland and JJ and Jo are wonderful hosts, all communications were very helpful and pleasant, and JJ was a delight to chat with and had great tips on where to go and what to see. Would have loved to stay longer but unfortunately the room availability was only for one night. We will definitely be back on our next Scotland trip, and for more than one night next time!
- Jochem (10/5): Great place, highly recommend! - Treetops is a great place to stay, with very friendly hosts. We felt right at home in this lovely B&B. The room was a bit hot, and sleeping with open windows brought in quite a bit of noise due to the closeness of a big road. That didn't really influence our experience though, just something to consider if you are a light sleeper: bring earplugs! Highly recommend this place!
- sophie (10/5): - Unique location, fabulous view
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautifully maintained and located B&B - Treetops is an immaculately presented accommodation with hosts who were helpful and kind. The room was clean, well maintained and equipped. The good coffee and cafetiere were a welcome bonus. No instant granules here!
Breakfast was tasty, varied and reflected a similar attention to quality. The usual cereals and toast were supplemented with a buffet including smoked salmon, venison salami, quality hams and local eggs.
The view from our room was stunning, Ben Nevis in full view and the location gave good access to region including Glen Coe, and Glenfinnan. Hosts were lovely, and helpful. Highly recommended.
- Sharon (10/5): - JJ and Jo were absolutely wonderful hosts from check in to check out. My husband and I would leave early and come back late and restaurant recommendations were excellent. We will definitely be coming back.
- Deanna (10/5): - The owners are lovely people and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. We only stayed there for a night, but would stay for longer if we should ever come back. Definitely recommend!
- Pete (10/5): - Amazing stay, lovely breakfast, great hosts. A wonderful way to kick off our holiday
- Suzanne (10/5): - We loved the private deck off of our room. The room is very spacious and well-appointed. The proprietors were lovely and gave great advice about dining and activity options! Would stay again!
- Merv (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay at Treetops B&B, beautiful accomodation, great location, awesome hosts, and fantastic breakfast! Highly recommended!
- Jane (10/5): - The views were amazing. The parking was tight and awkward.
- Irene (10/5): Must come back again! - Beautiful room with amazing view. The holder is very kind. Best hotel in my 9 days trip in Scotland!

- Helene G (10/5): Faultless and top location. - Overall amazing stay. Could not fault the location, room, owners, cleanliness, food or comfort of Treetops.
I stayed in the Ben Nevis room which offered breathtaking views of the mountains and Ben Nevis.
Location a little out of the way but the local bus stop 5 mins walk away makes for such an easy place to get to I did not bother with a taxi.
Breakfast was lovely and fresh, the option of porridge and croissant welcome, hard boiled eggs most welcome as well as the traditional and fresh continental options.
The owners have a resident cat and dog which are both very friendly and cuddly.
Will definitely stay again!
- dwaine (10/5): - Very friendly and delightful hosts - with an appreciation for
Tim Hortons coffee.
Room was clean and comfortable. Great to sit on the home’s balcony and enjoy the view.
Hearty breakfast.
- Michael (10/5): - Wonderfully clean & comfortable. Ideal location with beautiful views over Ben Nevis & Fort William. Very welcoming owners & a full range continental breakfast. Would highly recommend
- Sara (10/5): - The best place we stayed on a 7 day trip!
- Rafal (10/5): - Treetops B&B is a beautiful house in a spectacular, quiet location 3 miles from the centre of Fort William.
It was our first B&B experience and it definitely set the bar high! We booked a room for 2 nights and were surprised to see such a fantastic, bright and spacious suite. The king- size bed was super comfy and the views- spectacular! The whole house was spotless.
However, the best part of the experience was the hosts- very friendly, welcoming, warm and lovely people. They gave us lots of great travel advice and helpful information and also helped us with our ferry tickets. Amazing people.
We will definitely be back again!
- Douglas (10/5): Dgoldblum & CCanfield - The stay was excellent: the room was clean and new with great views. JJ & Jo were great hosts, fulfilling every need, and going out of their way to help us ( we had a flat tire on a lonely road with no cell service or spare) Would stay there again and totally recommend this place.
- Richard (10/5): Great B & B - This was the best room we had in Scotland. Clean and roomy with great views. JJ and Jo were great hosts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was wonderful! The hosts were great and very knowledgeable about the local areas and places to visit. We look forward to our next stay.
- Susan (10/5): A gem - We stayed here for two nights primarily to go on the Jacobite train. We received a warm and friendly welcome from our hosts and were shown to our room that had a balcony with beautiful views. The room was spacious and clean with a superking size bed. The en suite was fitted out with quality
- jane (10/5): Would highly recommend. - Easy parking on site. A pleasure to go back to each evening. Balcony view was stunning. Nothing too much trouble. Friendly hosts. Immaculate room and premises. Would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent, very comfortable.
Good views, close to Neptune staircase.
- surinder (10/5): Tree Tops fort William - Excellent overall
- Shaun (10/5): Jacobite steam train weekend - Our stay at the treetops was absolutely fantastic the people were so nice and helpful, we were delayed in our journey and would miss the booking in time but after call to the people they were so accommodating and waited for our arrival. The location is beaand the room was so nice and comfortable and there was so much to choose for breakfast. So all together a really lovely weekend break, we will definitely be returning.
- Sarah (10/5): - Absolutely perfect - location, room itself, hosts and amazing breakfast! 5 star plus will definitely be back!
- David (10/5): Top rate! - All very clean and lovely, great location and the couple that run it top rate! And a great view, would recommend it highly.
- Donna (10/5): - Great food, wonderful hospitality and comfortable accommodations.
- ian (10/5): 2 Night stay - Excellent place situated super close to the mountain of Ben Nevis if you are after access to that. Really friendly owners and very helpful. Owners do tend to be in your face a little, but with only 3 rooms you get that personal attention if you want that - not that we really did but we would be complaining if they were awkward! Take note that a cooked breakfast is advertised as included in your stay on the booking, but it is really a continental breakfast. Minor criticism really and overall a nice place and lovely people.
- Alannah (10/5): Wow! - We booked here last minute after a disastrous stay at Kyle Hotel as part of a trip to Skye and Fort William. Just WOW! JJ and his wife were lovely and made us feel right at home. Room was stunning, bed was comfortable (to the point we noted the mattress details as we may buy one).
Fresh milk in the fridge was a lovely touch and allowed a lovely cuppa on the balcony taking in the view of Ben Nevis
I cannot praise this place enough. My only regret is not having breakfast as we accidentally slept through.
Will definitely be recommending to friends and we will definitely be back
Also a top tip, bring your slippers or cozy socks to wander around your room and common areas in as (quite rightly so) it's encouraged to take your shoes off outside your room (we took ours off at the main door as they were muddy)
- Antony (10/5): Superb in every way - Superb in every way. Clean, well-equipped and excellent value for money. Would not hesitate to recommend
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful views, friendly and helpful hosts, great breakfasts
- Phil (10/5): Perfect - This place was truly perfect. The location and view from the bedroom was incredible, I would just sit on the bed looking over the ever changing weather over Ben Nevis. The room itself was spotless and the bed was so comfy, which was a god send after going up the mountain! All facilities, en suite with an amazing shower, tea, coffee, biscuit's and a not much used tv! The breakfast and presentation was honestly the best I’ve had from any hotel or b&b. It is obvious the high standards the owners have in their business is projected to the little fine touches experienced in the meal. What I loved was being asked how I liked my coffee using a strength scale from 1-5! If we’re in Fort William again I wouldn’t use anywhere else, even if it meant changing my dates to fit availability. The hosts are so friendly and made us feel literally at home, John didn’t even mind the fact we used to be in the best of the armed forces! Thank you both again for an amazing stay, will hopefully see you again either at Treetops or the All Nations!
- Laura (10/5): - We really loved our stay at Treetops. JJ and Jo have created a beautifully warm and friendly environment and made us feel very welcome and looked after. The property is beautiful and so clean, and our room was spacious and comfortable - we slept so well in the lovely big bed! We enjoyed a delicious, homemade breakfast that was excellently organised, and our hosts made us feel very at home. We would definitely stay again at Treetops and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! Thank you JJ and Jo!
- Pilasphan (10/5): - Prime location. The property is very nice and clean. Room is very well maintained. Love the hospitality from both of the owner. Their recommendation of where to eat and where to go was spot on. We really recommend the place if you go to Fort William
- Jessica (10/5): - Beautiful property and wonderful hosts!
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Superb room with everything we could need. Immaculately clean and wonderful views. Bathroom was gorgeous and spotless. Wonderful warm welcome amd excellent breakfast. No negatives whatsoever
- Robert (10/5): Highly recommended - High standard B and B with so many extra touches to make our stay really comfortable. Highly recommended.
- Kwai Ming (10/5): - Excellent building good service very nice couple
Room cleaned everything excellent
- Shabnam (10/5): - My partner and I have recently returned from our 2 night stay at the Treetops b&b. It was a perfect stay! The Great Glen room had stunning views out to Ben Nevis, it was spotlessly clean with nice facilities. JJ and Jo were very friendly and welcoming hosts and provided excellent advice for our planned activities and restaurants in the area and breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at Treetops and hope to return soon.
- Imran (10/5): Staying here is a must!! - What can I say, JJ was an absolute fountain of knowledge about the area. When we arrived he gave us lots of advise about times for climbing Ben Nevis, where to park and find food etc. He was helpful, chatty and an overall nice guy. I would highly recommend this place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable (almost couldn't get up early enough to climb Nevis). In a decent location as well, plus the breakfast was lovely!!
- David (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay at Treetops. JJ & Jo we’re both really helpful with local info and made us feel so very welcome - such wonderful hosts. Treetops is a beautiful place to stay, in a great location and the views were out of this world.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great B&B with a lovely host. If you're climbing Ben Nevis the staff can give you some fantastic advice as well as making sure you're off the mountain safely.
- Andy (10/5): Amazing b&b - I can'nt recommend this b&b enough, owners are so lovely and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was outstanding and felt so personal. The room itself was spotless with spectacular views looking on to ben nevis. Fresh ground coffee in the room was a lovely touch too and tasted amazing after a hard days shopping. Covid precautions were exceptional which made us feel safe. We are already planning our next visit when attempting to climb ben nevis.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay, our first experience staying in a BnB and can honestly say better then some hotels we have stayed in.
Was so welcoming and very clean. JJ and
Jo was very nice friendly helpful ppl couldn’t off wished for better place to stay.
