• Jing Han (10/5): - 住宿的地點就在韓屋村裡面，可以步行到達最熱鬧的街道，生活機能很便利，晚上休息也很安靜。房東夫婦非常友善，會親自介紹所有的設施及住宿規定，也很用心維持韓屋的整潔，讓人非常印象深刻。
• Jaeyeol (7/5): 가성비로서는 좋다고 봄 - 아침식사는 간이식으로는 90점이고 이는 밥이나 반찬이 나오는 식사가 아니고 과일과 떡이기 때문에 option에 간이식이라 표혀하는것이 좋을것 같습니다 침대가 아니고 방 바닥에 깔고 , 침구가 좀 부실 했음. 온돌방이라 좀 아쉬었음. 온돌방이라 미리 알려줬으면 좋음

I proprietari una coppia molto simpatica. Asciugamani piccoli. Come in gran parte della Corea. Non c era la luce sul soppalco dove dormivamo. Nemmeno un cuscino o una poltroncina per sedersi se se sei al piano terra. Solo pavimento (riscaldato)
• Alice (9/5): A beautiful traditional experience - The location and the position were great and the hosts were super kind! Breakfast was a delicious traditional meal served directly in the room. There is also a shared room to get free water, coffee and tea for use during the day. The Hanok room was traditional and clean. During the night, the floor was heated. The Hanok is reachable through a bus ride from the train station and a short walk. One futon can be too hard for people who normally never sleep on the floor, so I brought with me a thin inflatable, foldable camping mattress to place on the floor under the futon and managed to sleep well.

The couple running the guesthouse are so sweet and caring and the breakfast they make you is amazing with fresh food and a local dish. 10/10 would gladly stay again!
• AndiGe (9/5): Echte Hanok-Erfahrung - Echte Hanok-Erfahrung, die man einmal gemacht haben muss. Sehr sauber, Frühstück sehr lecker direkt ins Zimmer gebracht. Abends ist es unter der Woche schon sehr ruhig im Viertel. Übersetzungsapp zur Verständigung nötig. Vermietern sind ihre Regeln sehr wichtig. Frühstück wird um 8 Uhr gebracht.

• Suryun (10/5): "더 머뭄" 전주 한옥마을 속, 잊지 못할 하룻밤 - 전주 한옥마을 한가운데 위치해 있어 접근성이 뛰어나고, 사장님 부부의 친절함 덕분에 기분 좋게 하룻밤을 보낼 수 있었습니다. 전체적으로 전통적인 분위기가 너무 좋았고, 숙소도 매우 청결했습니다. 특히 미국에서 태어난 아이들에게 전통 한옥을 직접 경험하게 해줄 수 있어 뜻깊었어요. 저희는 개인 사정으로 저녁 늦게 도착해 잠시 머물고 오전 일찍 떠나야 했는데, 늦은 시간까지 기다려 주시고 직접 주차 안내까지 해주셔서 감사했습니다. 아침에는 푸짐한 한국 전통 다과와 떡을 준비해 주셔서 든든하게 먹고 전주에 대한 좋은 추억을 간직한 채 떠날 수 있었습니다. 아이들을 위해 전통김과 밥도 주셔서 아이들이 참 좋아했네요. 감사합니다.
• Annemieke (8/5): Nice hanok house to stay for one or two nights - Close to the action but on a quiet location. The owners were really friendly, and the breakfast was nice with a lot of fruits. We stayed 1 night to experience a stay in a hanok house, and it was fully in line with our expectations.

• Dale (8/5): Traditional Hanock stay with great hosts - We had a great stay for 4 nights. The old couple that run the place are so sweet and helpful. They really fuss over you and look after you. The breakfasts arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 at your door with a knock. It is mainly fruit and rice cakes, but we were hitting the Korean BBQ pretty hard so having a plate full of fruit was actually good. Just be aware this is your more traditional Hanock stay which means you will be sleeping on a futon on the floor. If this is not for you or have trouble getting up off the floor, than don't stay here. Although we enjoyed the experience and would recommend staying here, after 4 nights were starting to get a bit sore not being use to sleeping on a thin futon. Overall, would recommend staying here, the location is great and the host are awesome. I think that maybe they could offer an additional sleeping mattress for people who find the futon too hard. That way you could try the traditional way but if you can not handle it you could ask for another layer of comfort.

• Helen (7/5): Great location nice breakfast but uncomfortable bedding on thin futons - The husband and wife team were welcoming on arrival to ensure we settled in. Location was excellent in the hanok village easy walk to everything. Breakfast excellent with an abundance of fruit and other offerings. The futon floor mattress was incredibly thin and uncomfortable as neither of us are very fat so we had bones on hard floor. The bathroom was small and not arranged ina way that was functional - we stayed in other guesthouses with the same size bathroom and did not have the shower soak the toilet and every other section of the room.

The property is very difficult to find with no English signage even with the KakaoMap app. Mat beds on the foor and no seating except the mat, cluttered courtyard area. Not comfortable if you are not used to sleeping and sitting on the floor. Excellent position in the historical village

• Dario (10/5): Ottima esperienza di Hanok storico coreano a buon prezzo. - Struttura perfetta in antico stile Hanok Coreano, in posizione centrale all'Hanok Village di Jeonju. A piedi da lì si può raggiungere ogni attrazione visitabile a Jeonju. Gli host sono carinissimi e gentilissimi nonostante qualche difficoltà con l'inglese, trascurabile dato che poi a gesti ci si capisce sempre bene. Esperienza sul futon da fare. Gli host forniscono ottima colazione che si può mangiare in stanza con vista sul bellissimo giardino interno.
• Marcel (8/5): - Es war sehr traditionell und sauber. Super Lage, direkt am Anfang des Hanok Villages. Man bekommt jeden Tag ein Frühstück ins Zimmer. Soll keine negative Kritik sein, aber man sollte es wissen : Einem muss schon bewusst sein, dass die Nacht sehr hart und unbequem wird. Die Unterlage zum Schlafen ist sehr dünn. Man ist quasi direkt auf dem Boden. Man wird jeden Morgen um 8Uhr für ein Frühstück geweckt. (Haben keins mitgebucht). Hosts sprechen kaum Englisch, wenn man nichts braucht ist das okay.
• Un Kyong (10/5): Cosy, quiet hanok just minutes from everything - I had an incredible stay at the MumMum. The kind Emo who owns this hanok home was so kind and warm. I loved her breakfast in the mornings and she set me up as soon as I arrived with sights to see and restaurants to eat at. Her hanok is located on a quiet alley just around the corner from the main thoroughfare. I can’t wait to go back again. Jeonju is magical. Thank you, Emo for a beautiful stay!

• David (10/5): - Had such a lovely stay! The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the healthy breakfast each morning was a real treat. The neighborhood is beautiful and easy to explore, and it was quiet at night—perfect for a good sleep. They really make you feel at home!
• Gian (10/5): Warm hosts and great stay - The hosts were super friendly and made sure we had a comfortable stay even though there was a language barrier. We brought a car and they were able to find us a parking space nearby without us needing to pay anything extra. The place had a beautiful exterior so we rented Hanboks and took photos around the property. Location was also perfect. It's walking distance from the main street. Everything was great! Just a note to future guests: This is a traditional Hanok house serving traditional breakfast (no protein) and you'll sleep on the floor, which might not be for everyone, but we had a great experience.
• Sioned (8/5): Lovely hosts, great breakfast and location - The location was great, right in the centre of the honok village, about 5 min walk from the bus stop to/from Jeonju train station. The couple that run the homestay are lovely, not much English was spoken but we understood each other well. We're vegan and the breakfast was fantastic, lots of fruit and the traditional Korean rice cakes. The room itself is just like the photos, it's small but everything you need for a night. The futon sheets that go on the wooden floor are very thin, but if you think of it like camping, it's fine for one night and the experience of doing it. There's also a cat that hangs out in the courtyard, an added bonus! I wouldn't choose to sleep in a bed like that for more than a night, but it was definitely worth the experience of doing so.
• Sharon (10/5): - Beautiful old hanok, very welcoming owners who spoke almost no English but were able to convey their meaning. There is no English signage on the gateway to the courtyard but Googlemaps led me there easily. I was able to leave my bag in advance of check in and the owner provided a map of Jeonju and helpfully circled points of interest. Room was clean and comfy with the underfloor heating. Ensuite wetroom. Communal room available to guests with free tea/coffee. Be aware walls are very thin and you can hear people talking quietly in adjoining rooms. Breakfast was served to my room on a tray with lots of lovely fresh fruit, rice cakes etc. When I checked out, I was able to leave my bag again to pick up later, when I did the enthusiastic female owner even gave me a hug goodbye. Very pleasant stay. Great location in the heart of the old town although it is a few blocks to walk from the bus stop.

The place was located inside the Hanok Village and right beside the shrine and very walkable distance to all important landmarks. There are plenty of cafes, restos and convenience stores nearby. • Lucian (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed here for 3 days with my parents and brother. Be prepared for sleeping on the floor, it can be a bit uncomfortable if you are not used to it. After the first day i got used to it and felt like my back is getting straight. The house and garden are beautiful, in the middle of the hanok village.
• Claire (10/5): Lovely accommodation - The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and are very prepared for western tourists. Our room was extremely clean and a good sized space. The sleeping mats may be difficult for older bones but we doubled them over to be more comfortable. The location is excellent - close to the main streets and a short walk to the CU supermarket. There is a great whiskey, beer and live music bar on the way to the CU too. The accommodation entrance is down a small laneway from the Main Street. Highly recommended for a great hanok village stay
• Julia (10/5): Best Hanok in Town - It's the only way to truly experience Korean culture. The hosts were so welcoming and took good care of us. Breakfast was amazing and great to have a shared kitchen with beverages. The best madang (yard/garden) in town and sweetest hosts! I will definitely return to The Mumum Guesthouse.

It is a traditional hanok so you will be sleeping on a blanket on the floor so it is going to be hard compared to a mattress but in saying that we slept well.

The in person experience is much better than the photos that are available online. The host couple is friendly and accommodating.

• Allen (10/5): - Excellent spot situated in the middle of Jeonju Hanok Village. Great breakfast with plenty of fruit, rice cakes, and coffee provided by the lovely couple that owns the place. You also get discounts and benefits from a Hanbok rental shop that they recommend going to. The beds are traditional futons, so might not be ideal for some people. Check in is until around 6 or 7pm, but let them know if you need to check in later in the day. They will leave a note on the door to your room. The floor heating is plenty hot for the winter. Was simple ordering a taxi through Uber to/from the bus station.
• Ja hyun (4/5): - 시설에 대한 청결함은 보통이였으나 방음이 전혀되지 않아 너무 불편했고 주인 분께서 이른 시간부터 문을 자주 두드리시는 바람에 체크 아웃 시간 전까지 너무 정신 없었습니다. 투숙객의 생활 습관은 전혀 고려하지 않으신 점이 너무 불쾌했습니다. The cleanliness of the facility was normal, but it was so inconvenient because there was no sound insulation at all, and the owner opened the door early in the day It was so hectic until the check-out time because of the tapping. It was so unpleasant that you didn't consider the guest's lifestyle at all.
• Adalberto (8/5): Una buena experiencia - Hanok agradable, buena experiencia. Hay que considerar que hay que estar descalzo dentro del Hanok y que se duerme en futón en el suelo. La habitación tiene doble puerta y candado por lo que es segura y aisla un poco el ruido exterior. Tiene calefacción y el baño privado es de buen tamaño. El desayuno vale la pena y te lo entregan en la puerta de la habitación. Los anfitriones son muy agradables y serviciales.

• Cameron (10/5): - Had a fantastic stay at The Mumum! Very clean and well kept property conveniently located close to all of the sites in the Jeonju Hanok Village. The host and hostess were so kind and helpful. A very large and delcious breakfast of fruit, rice cakes and rice was brought to our room each morning. The hostess was ever helpful - showing us directions, calling taxis for us, and even gave us a bag of oranges and chestnuts to snack on the day we went to Naejangsan. • Lisa (10/5): Lovely Hanok stay in Jeonju - The Mumum (Deo Meomum in Naver app) is a wonderful accommodation if you want to stay in a Hanok. The owners are very helpful and friendly and made our two night stay more than we expected. The Korean breakfast was delicious. The location is very good right next to the wall of Gyeonggijeon Shrine. I highly recommend this accommodation.

• Myong (10/5): Amazing stay - It was amazing staying at the mumum. The lady who owns the place was so kind. She greeted me and my daughter outside of the place to help us in. We had three big luggage, and she kindly helped to carry one of our luggage. The yard was so beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the bird family. Breakfast was great as well. I want to visit there again with my husband sometime soon.

The shower was pressure was awesome and was hot that releaved all the tiredness of all the walk. The breakfast was speachless. And more n more. An awesome ppace to stay.
• Daniel (10/5): - Amazing hotel! Stay in a traditional Korean building right in the heart of the Hanok Village district with a nice breakfast. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Just a note: in Google Maps the hotel shows up as Deomeomum.

C'est un peu rustique, mais on ne va pas à Jeonju pour visiter une chambre. Gros point fort, la gérante et son mari qui debordent de gentillesse et d'attention, on rencontre rarement des personnes aussi gentilles. Pour exemple, on partait à 6h45 et ne pouvions pas déjeuner ; sans que ce soit convenu, ils nous attendaient à notre départ pour nous donner à manger (oeufs dur, mochi,... après on aime ou on n'aime pas mais cest l'attention qui compte, et moi j'ai bien aimé 😉). ATTENTION : qui dit expérience authentique dit TATAMI ! Donc attention au dos si vous n'avez pas l'habitude. Ne tentez pas le diable si vous ne connaissez pas et avez besoin dun bon lit douillet pour dormir (surtout si c'est pour un long séjour).

• Danielle (10/5): - AMAZING!! This was such a lovely place to stay not only is it conveniently located in the beautiful Hanok village making it super easy to wander around and check out the sights. The care and genuine kindness from our hosts was superb. They helped us with dining recommendations, made us delicious breakfasts and an ice coffee when we returned to the Hanok after wandering the streets. I cannot thank them nor recommend this stay enough.
• HONG (10/5): - 사장님 부부 매우 친절하시고 살갑게 맞아주셨습니다. 아이와 외국인 시부모님을 배려해주신 부분도 큰 감동이었어요. 한옥집이랑 정원 사진처럼 아기자기하고 이쁩니다. 사진찍으로 이쁘게 나와요. 경기전 바로 옆이고 걸어서 한옥마을, 재래시장 다 움직일 수 있을 만큼 위치 좋습니다. 잘 쉬다 왔습니다.

The owners were very kind to us and looked after us during the stay, including providing us with local recommendations of places and giving us little refreshments when we're back at the hanok. Also the hosts were lovely, providing a fresh breakfast every morning, looking after my luggage after I checked out, and even calling a taxi for me to get me to the bus stop.

• Sandor (10/5): Traditional stay in the heart of Jeonju Hanok Mael - This was one of my best Hanok stays in Korea. The room was spacious and cozy for a solo traveler and it would have been equally so for a couple with one child. Teh room and the bathroom were both spotless clean. The Hosts were absolutely fantastic. They went out of their way to help me with my travels, storing of my luggage and providing general guidance. The hosts do not speak too much English but they use a translator app that was very effective. They have also provided a hearty breakfast from to the room. I would very highly recommend "The Mumum" to anyone wants to experience traditional Korean lodging (e.g., sleeping on a futon on the heated floor, eating Korean style breakfast in a traditional wooden building).

• Karen Siew Ing (10/5): - Second time staying at this property. It's a traditional homestay managed by an old lady (이모) and her husband. She is always warm and welcoming but is strict about the rules of keeping the place clean and conducive for everyone (I don't mind at all!) Love the generous breakfast served every morning! Walking distance to all the must-visit spots in Jeonju Hanok Village and famous restaurants. It is definitely an experience that I will keep in good memories and may again come back for!
