Guest Reviews
Me ofereceram a suíte superior, mas o banheiro é fibra do quarto e a céu aberto... Oi? Oi?
Bom sem vidro, molha o corredor do banheiro.
Privada com descarga disparando.
- Dunja (7/5): Great Location and Warm Hospitality with Room for Small Enhancements - Loved the location and the grounds—surrounded by amazing restaurants and shops. For those going to Yoga Barn, it’s just a 3–5 minute walk via the back entrance, which is super convenient. The afternoon monkey visits were a fun highlight, especially watching them around the pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. While the property is clean and clearly well cared for, a keen observer might notice that some of the bedsheets and mosquito nets feel a little dated and could be refreshed. A few furniture pieces—especially those with cushions—could also benefit from a light upgrade. The bathrooms were clean, and overall everything is well maintained, though a small refresh here and there would elevate the experience even further. The beds were comfortable and none of this impacted our stay.
- Kerry (10/5): Peace in the heart of Ubud. - Beautiful and well maintained grounds.
Room was very clean.
Staff, as always, were kind, helpful and attentive. They make this a great stay!

CI AVEVANO DETTO CHE CI RIMBORSAVANO 3 NOTTI MA NON CI è ARRIVATO MAI NULLA!!!!!!!!!!! L'ESTERNO SEMBRA BELLISSIMO DALLE FOTO MA è ASSOLUTAMENTE DIVERSO CON UNA SPECIE DI PISCINA CON ACQUA PUTRIDA!!!!!!!!!! TROPPO SCADENTE.
- Jose Jaffet (8/5): - Bien

- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay at this tranquil yet central original villa. Staff were very friendly, forthcoming and accomodating. Breakfast was great too. I highly recommend Sarin Suites.

Lækker have og rigtig fin pool. Sødt og venligt personale. Udmærket morgenmad.
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay here and can confidently say it’s the best value for your money in Ubud. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of town, directly in front of the Monkey Forest. You’re surrounded by amazing restaurants, shops, and massage places, all just steps away.
The staff were incredibly polite, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Despite being in such a lively area, the room was very peaceful and offered a perfect place to relax after a day out exploring.
If there’s one area that could use a little improvement, it would be the cleaning and the bathroom—just a bit more attention to detail would make a big difference.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Ubud!
Breakfast was excellent !
- Tanya (10/5): Climbing the stairs to the peaceful beautiful garden from the business of the streets was like heaven the bus - Location
Quiet
Peaceful
Lovely staff Nothing
- Taina (9/5): Excellent location, staff and views! Comfortable and beautiful. My partner and I have stayed there twice now and would s - Loved the view of the jungle out of my window and the monkeys! The staff was amazing and super helpful. Breakfast at Social Monkeys (the restaurant infront) was delightful. The location was fantastic- walking distance to great restaurants, landmarks, and everything! The only thing that was a bit annoying was the water in the shower would spray everywhere, but every else was great.
- Shoaib (7/5): Good location but very old dated rooms - Breakfast was outside hotel premises. They are very slow in serving breakfast. Rooms were old and not clean. Have to ask staff to clean washroom. Safety box was not working. Electrical switches worn out and some are not working. Towel were worn out.
- Lucy (6/5): - The location of this property is fantastic, directly opposite the Monkey Forest, it has lots of shops and resturants around it. The outdoor area is very tranquil, with lush gradens and lovely pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, I have to agree with other reviews the bathroom is very tired, the sink and toilet had stains in them, the shower is over the bath with no where to hang the shower head higher up so you have to wash your hair sat down in the bath. The bedding and linen had marks and stains on them. The bug net over the bed didn't close, therefore being pointless, I ended up using hair grips to seal it over night but there were holes in the net so we still got bitten. We had a lizzard living under our fridge and the room upstairs leaked water over our bed, making it soaking wet, the staff mopped the ceiling and changed the bedding but said they had spilled water and it had gone through tiles???
- Arnel (8/5): - Good view of the ricefields from our window.
- Chihiro (2/5): - Totally overpriced for the dirty and smelly hotel room. The floor of the room was dusty covered with dead insects. I needed the hotel
staff to clean the floor. The inside the hotel is gloomy and spooky. We could not stand it and decided to use another hotel.
- Leia (7/5): Great location, good for the price just a little run down - Love the location and the scenery. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable The shower facilities weren’t great and the communication prior to arrival wasnt very responsive.
- Janet (4/5): - Air conditioning not working , fan not working . Could hear motor bikes through the night
- Eric (10/5): - Great staff. Very accommodating. Laundry service, scooter rental, massage, day trips... whatever you want, they’ll happily arrange it for you. Directly across from the Monkey Forest. Sometimes the Monkeys even come over and climb in the trees around the property.
- Connor (10/5): - The best hotel I’ve ever been! This is a highly undervalued hotel and with it being literally across the street from the best monkey forest in all of Bali you can’t go wrong. Monkeys were on hotel property our first day and the outdoor bathroom was strangely awesome to enjoy the view while showering!
- Arwa (10/5): - This hotel is really a hidden gem! Right outside of the monkey forest and a real paradise in the middle of a busy street.
We loved the experience of the outside toilet and shower. Magical to shower with an amazing view of nature.
The staff was wonderful, super sweet and helpful. Would really recommend this hotel!
- karly (6/5): - Very good, reasonably priced place to stay in central Ubud.
Personally I found the bed very uncomfortable, and my room was right by the stairwell so I could hear people at all hours of the night coming to their rooms / leaving. But for the price, a very good accommodation for travellers / solo travellers :)
Right across from the monkey forest so there are monkeys on the property at certain times of the day- i avoided the pool area for this reason (one swiped my sunscreen from me lol). But very walkable & close to many tasty restaurants / bars.
- Yunsheng (10/5): I really enjoy my stay! - I loved it, it’s a 3 stars hotel so you can respect for 5 stars facility. But it feels better than 3 stars at the same time. Perfect location, very centric but super quiet, I had a big room with many windows that can overlook the garden. Staffs are super helpful as well. I will definitely repeat again. Toilet is not 100% indoor so sometimes there’s insects around and it can smell a little bit funny
- Isni (8/5): Very good -
- Disha (7/5): Good -
- Carla (2/5): I do not recommend. A renovation is needed. - The staff were very nice and the location was convenient. I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room and facilities were old and outdated, with a bad smell in the room. Additionally, it was extremely noisy, making it difficult to rest.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittney (8/5): Great place to enjoy peace and tranquility in the busyness of Ubud - Great staff, close location, quiet in the evening and nice relaxing environment Facilities could use updating. Some rooms had openings into the bathrooms where Mosquitos got in
- Ffion (10/5): Ubud Palace - Central, clean and tidy. Very welcoming people and so friendly Maybe knowing how close the monkeys are
- Roberts (5/5): Good location, needs a room update and bathroom refurb - Booked due to rating I would give it 6/10.
Beautiful garden.
Room a little dated, taps in bathroom hardly worked In need of a refurb. Pretty pricey for what it is. A bit shabby in the rooms. Outside is nice
- Amanda (9/5): Amazing experience and would like to come again - Staff was excellent and very nice and welcoming, I enjoyed my stay there. They were very professional but also kind. Breakfest from nearby cafe was excellent-I loved eggs in croissant. A bit noisy, isolation wasn't that good but I survived)
- Rosalina (2/5): Next to a construction site that started at 6 am. Avoid if you can. - We given a room that straight in front of a construction site. The construction started 6 am in the morning and very loud. Bathroom clogged a lot. Hot water is coming and going. Nightmarish stay really It’s next to construction site and bathroom window don’t have window to filter the noise
- Monika (7/5): Good - Lot of space, u dont feel that around are many people. Not too much people live in hotel. Quet space
- Mmm (7/5): Good -
- Seunghan (10/5): - The staff members were very kind and welcoming. The room was very clean and well serviced. The only issue is there were some bugs around early evening but I think this is common around that area. Over I'm very happy with my stay and the value.
- Genevieve (10/5): - This place is beautiful and is a great location.
- Christophe (4/5): to flee - a beautiful large villa style building with very friendly and professional staff but the villa is abandoned. Absolutely everything in the bathroom is broken (toilet, shower, sink, etc.) and eaten away by mold. the curtains are covered with halos 1m in diameter and half of them are missing.
the room is large but very poorly furnished. There is a swimming pool, small, in the shade and against the back wall. the view is absolutely not of the rice fields but of a wasteland with ruins, we are under the equator, it is green, but they are absolutely not rice fields. and finally we were able to enjoy the techno music from the neighboring bar until midnight.
there is no breakfast, they invite you to go to the other side of the street to have it. finally the location is in a shopping area, but 30 minutes walk from the tourist center of Ubud
- Claudia (6/5): - Toilet it wasn't clean and it didn't provide soap. The sheet had stains and bed was poor quality.
Staff friendly
Pool area so nice
- Amanda (8/5): - Nice stay
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (9/5): Worth your while if you want to be right in the middle of Monkey Forest. - The location was incredible. Daily visits from monkeys right at our bedroom window.
Room was very spacious. The AC was temperamental and as there were large windows it got very hot on arrival.
- David (8/5): Comfortable accommodation in a good location. - The view over the rice paddies from our room was unexpected and wonderful. The layout of the accommodation suggests this was uncommon. Bathroom could do with updating.
- Tony (10/5): - Awesome place
Nice and quiet area off main road.
Right opposite monkey forrest.
Beautiful little place .
- Alison (5/5): Comfortable - I didn’t get offered breakfast although I thought it was my rant to be included 🤔 More communication as to what facilities were available
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing - very close to a busy district with lots of nice restaurants and of course the Monkey Forest. Despite this the villa itself was peaceful and quiet and all the staff were super friendly and helpful!
- Indira (10/5): Exceptional - The room, the environment and the staff Nothing
- Abir (2/5): - Dirty bed sheets and stained towels!
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (6/5): Pleasant - So many mosquitos, a bathroom that smelt soooo bad, and guests above me apparently wearing ski boots and clomping around all night.
- Martini (4/5): Not as our expected. - Swimming pool was really dirty and the room too. It’s smelly in bathroom even the towels really smelly. We check out after one day, which we paid for 2 days, if possible we would like to have our money back for one day. Swimming pool really dirty.
- Leong (5/5): Passable - Room 205, Sinked in old bed, no shower screen, old furniture, bathroom door defect, bathroom sink without stopper, etc
- Niamh (10/5): - In a great location, quiet and relaxing area.
Pool and garden area were beautiful
- Seroja (1/5): Disappointed. not worth the money and really mess up our holiday - Location near by the Monkey Forest The Matrass are old and need to be replaced; I have a spine problem and I cannot sleep with this mattrass or bed; The shower handle is broken and water leaking and no curtain cover the bathtub, so water in everywhere in the floor as the drainage hole are too far; the bathtub need to replace as well because it’s old, and you cannot get shower/ standing, the floor already “keropos”.
- Roxanne (5/5): adjoining room is not adjoining! - great location in central ubud. beautiful gardens and pool area. very helpful friendly staff who try their best adjoining room is NOT adjoining. It is simply rooms 201 and 202 that are next door to each other. There is nothing connecting them- you have to come out of one and into another. This may cause a safety issue with children like it did for us. Whilst the room was clean, it could do with some renovating. The bathrooms smell damp and we had a real issue of the towels smelling really bad, even after they’d been to the laundrette (they simply need to buy new towels!).
- Tyler (8/5): - It’s a fantastic accommodation in the heart of Ubud and located right across the entrance of Monkey Forest. Sunset view in the room is beautiful. Only one thing which is the toilet drainage system as water tends to overflood and leads to the room after showering
- Nicole (10/5): - This property was so beautiful. Feels like you’re one with nature, can make it a little hard to sleep but it’s a very cool experience. Super quiet and peaceful. Perfect location
- Yulia (4/5): Not safe with children because of monkeys!!! - Big light room Not safe with children because of monkeys!!! Old and not clean enough, smell of wetness at the sheets, monkeys all around and in the hotel territory sometimes.
- Emrah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anna (7/5): inexpensive stay in a good location in Ubud - Location, price, grounds, stuff. this property had better days. it is a nice villa but its maintenance is neglected.
- Sara (8/5): Very good - Great location just near the Monkey Forest. Very big rooms. The garden is beautiful and the pool pretty nice. The rooms are a bit old fashioned while confortable. The place is a bit noisy as it's mainly made of wood.
- Sophia (3/5): Poor -
- Elena (8/5): It was a very good stay, can recommend this villa 👍 - Pretty clean (it is Asia anyway 😅), no bad smell. Clean bathroom. Great location, near Monkey forest, monkeys played in the yard, awesome. The view is great. When it is raining heavily, there is water from the roof in the main room.
The first two nights there were very loud sounds from the rice field, but after two nights it was quiet.
Monkeys can be aggressive a little bit, if there are a lot of them in the yard.
- Idris (8/5): Very good -
- Roel (7/5): Wonderfull location for your stay in Ubud - The location was perfect, right in the center of Ubud near the monkey Forest. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are big and you have everything you need. And they keep the place very clean. The breakfast that was included was not the best. It was served cold even after asking for it to be served warm. Some things didn't look really fresh. The coffee and juice where okay
- Claresanders (7/5): Good - Location was perfect. The pool was great!! The Aircon was average and bathroom could use a spruce up.
- Ella (4/5): - We stayed two nights in the family room. The bed sheets were dirty with blood stains and other unknown stains, the floor was dirty, there were cobwebs everywhere and the bathroom shower had mould all around it. The staff were nice and the property grounds are nice and convenient location but we wouldn’t sacrifice cleanliness for that to stay again.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel was amazing! The room was really spacious and hab lots of windows. From our room we could see the rice fields and for the fact that the hotel is in Ubud central, right on the other side of the monkey forest, it was really quiet and felt like you‘re in the Forest, not the City.
The bathroom was outside, that was also something I loved, but may not be for everybody because monkeys and lizards will come and visit you from time to time.
Also because it’s in Ubud you have lots of amazing restaurants and shops close by and can easily walk there. The room could have been a bit cleaner
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Evans (9/5): Superb -
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional - pool, location, room we were surprised to see monkeys all around the hotel in the morning but it’s was FUN!
- Jim (8/5): - Location ,charm, quiet, lots of room, view , bathroom is outside. Not too good when it is raining.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
It was so fantastic house.. i liked everything. People were so kind. I want to stay here again.
- Christine (10/5): - Very clean, relaxing and rooms are very large. Staff are friendly !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was a great location for shopping and restaurants and wonderful to be opposite the monkey forrest.
- Seth d coty (10/5): Amazing hotel and staff! - I loved this hotel, very friendly, beautiful property and great price!!
- Marvin (10/5): Perfect - Very Nice spacious rooms, right at the entrance of Monkey forest and in walking distance of all the good restaurants and populated bars. Although you're in the middle of downtown, the resort feels very quiet and peaceful. Very well priced as well.
- Melina (10/5): I should be a shareholder by now - This repeat customer has stayed there soo many times this year that they know just to put me in the top floor room. Great location. Small, quiet other than the monkeys that like to try and steal my shampoo hahaha
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome little place , very relaxing with convenient location. Highly recommend
- Megan (8/5): - Great hotel in central location, great to see the monkeys too! They joined us at the pool in the afternoon. Staff very helpful and booked our trips for us. 10% discount on the restaurant outside was a nice touch too.
- LUKASZ (6/5): Old outdated place to stay next to Monkey Forest - Quite old place, not exactly what I expected. Bathroom very outdated. The stuff was nice. They agree to change our room because of burning grass on the estate next to it (the room smelled of smoke). We was given the room upstairs. Very nice view. But there was earthquake that night and we felt really scary (the house was wooden and the bed itself was like shaking without any reason with any small movement). So it wasn't good night to sleep. WIFI was super fast (probably thanks to Hubud next door) - apron 35 Mb/s ... in Bali ! Wow.
- Thalia (10/5): Great Stay! - I had a great stay at the Sarin Ubud Hotel. It’s right across the street from the monkey forest and very close to the local shops. I had no problem getting airport service arranged through them to get me from Depensar to Ubud. I didn’t have breakfast there, but it is offered.
The sheets smelled and looked clean and overall I would recommend the hotel.
One thing to note is that there wasn’t a blow dryer in the room which wasn’t a problem for me.
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Stephen (10/5): Highly recommended - Excellent hotel in the heart of Ubud. Very clean and comfortable, friendly staff and wonderful pool / garden area. Convenient location literally opposite Ubud Monkey Forest. Great value for money too. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Gem in Ubud - I loved this hotel. I've been to Bali many times before, so was looking for a nice simple place walking distance to known spots like the yoga barn. I was delighted by the small, tranquil feel. The staff is limited but very friendly. My room was nice but I would have preferred one more toward the back of the house, where the views are (even more) beautiful. The pool and yard are quiet and very welcoming, as this was previously a private villa. Unfortunately there is no breakfast included, but there is a kettle, the staff are accommodating about you using the downstairs fridge, and there are a zillion great places to eat within a moment's walk. Although the address is on busy monkey forest road, the hotel is tucked up behind Hubud and very quiet, but accessible to everything! Internet worked great, too.
I wouldn't come here if I were looking for a resort, but for a budget traveler who is pretty self-sufficient, it was like paradise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not great but value for money stay - Advertised as a place with a rice field view but more like a grass field view that's not properly maintained. Otherwise, everything else is decent. They only have 1 staff at any one time, responsiveness to my emails before my stay was almost non existent. Nice bath tub and clean room. If u like monkeys, u may get to see it from your room directly. It was literally right outside my windows.
