• Christel (10/5): Très bien je recommande - Bon rapport qualité prix, proche de la station principale de Kyoto, personnel très sympathique, maison un peu dans son jus mais c'est ce qui fait son charme. La chambre est grande et il y a la clim, le matelas est confortable. Les espaces communs sont globalement propres. Juste un toilette qui ne semblait pas être bien nettoyé, et ce jusqu'au lendemain...

Easy to transfer ( close to the metro and center ) There are very nice Cafe- restaurants and also supermarkets around . I enjoyed my stay in this guesthouse. I felt like home. Clean, quiet, friendly, good energy . The room was big enough. The staff/ owner was sooo nice and helpful . İ loved her so much! Very positive, kind, polite and good English speaker. I first planned 3 days than I stayed almost 7 days with extending . The place is tatami style, (traditional Japanese style ) I was ok with this , loved it but maybe not for everyone :) I realy enjoyed my time, thank you Everything was so good, maybe some stuff in the kitchen can be renovated also the bathroom:) Only the room window is not looking to nice view but there is nothing to do with it :) Overall it was sooo good and comfy when we compare with the price

• Qingqing (10/5): 让这趟京都之行变得完美，有机会一定回再来 - 位置特别好，一楼是非常美和传统的日式装饰，看出来房东装饰很有心，有整块原木切出来的巨木茶桌、浮世绘美人屏风、日式字画摆件，出门过马路就是东本愿寺，晚上散步、清晨逛寺庙都超级方便。房东非常好，热情，英文非常好，和她交流非常开心，感受到了京都的宁静美丽。房间也非常干净，床单被罩闻起来香香的。 无，走过世界20多个城市，住过的最好的民宿之一

• Nicholas (10/5): A welcoming place to be! - Great location - close to the station, full of Japanese character, and opposite a truly fantastic temple that’s well worth checking out. Kahori was very friendly and helpful, a great ambassador for her country.
• Jessica (10/5): Praktisch, sichere Lage, Sauberkeit und sehr freundlcihes Personal - Sehr gut von Bahnhof zu Fuß zu erreichen, tolles und freundliches Personal. Mein Einzelzimmer hatte alles was ich gebraucht habe. Die Sauberkeit war überall zu spüren, ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Die Gemeinschaftsbad- und Duschen, weil diese im EG befindet und mein Zimmer im 1. Stock, weil der Boden aus japanischer Holz ist, quitscht der Holzboden beim gehen, aber das wusste ich vor der Buchung, umsonst sehr saubere Duschen und Bäder.

• Avishek (9/5): Traditional Japanese home like ryokan experience within the budget. - Perfect location to get Ryokan experience. The owner is super friendly and is fluent in English. Though I started with my very little Japanese, I had to ask her to switch to English since I could no longer understand the local’s Japanese 😅, and she was very informative and even suggested me to re arrange my travel plans based on the environment there. If it’s available in your planned date don’t hesitate to book it. Floors are squeaky and make sound while walking. And this is an old house, do not expect soundproof experience.

• Arduini (10/5): SOGGIORNO STUPENDO - 3 ospiti - La struttura è di tipo tradizionale, dispone di varie camere con futon, ed è tutta ricoperta dal tatami. Si lasciano le scarpe all'ingresso in uno spazio apposito, e si indossano le ciabatte fornite dalla struttura. I bagni sono separati dalle docce, e dispongono di ciabatte apposite per entrare. Una doccia è in stile occidentale, mentre l'altra in stile giapponese ed entrambe dispongono di shampoo, bagno doccia e phon. Ci sono lavatrice e asciugatrice al costo di 200 yen l'una, e una terrazza al piano superiore dove riposarsi e/o stendere i vestiti, nella quale si accede con ciabatte apposite lasciate all'ingresso della terrazza. C'è una cucina utilizzabile, che dispone di utensili, piatti e tazzine varie, nel caso in cui si voglia preparare caffè o tè, si può anche utilizzare il frigo nel caso in cui si compri del cibo al seven-eleven/ Family mart / Lawson. Nelle camere si può trovare, oltre ai futon dove dormire, degli asciugamani, teli per doccia, una televisione, una specie di kimono per girare all'interno della struttura e un tavolino con delle sedie. La posizione era ottimale, di fianco alla struttura si può trovare un bike rental, dove noleggiare le biciclette per la giornata. Attraversando la strada, invece, si trova la fermata dell'autobus (gli autobus sono super in orario e passano ogni 5/10 minuti). Inoltre la struttura si trova a 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione (tutto dritto dall'uscita nord della stazione) e non è in un posto isolato, quindi a 3 minuti di distanza si trova un Seven-eleven, un centro commerciale e di fronte c'è un tempio bellissimo (consiglio di andarlo a vedere). Noi eravamo 3 amici e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Ci siamo divertiti molto ed è stata un'esperienza fantastica soggiornare in una struttura tipica giapponese così ben curata. L'host è stata gentilissima e, avendo conversato con lei qualche volta, abbiamo visitato dei posti bellissimi, sotto suo consiglio. Nel caso le camere fossero ai piani superiori o si volesse andare in terrazza bisogna fare molta attenzione, perchè le scale sono molto ripide, ed è capitato una o due volte che uno di noi cadesse. Oltre a questo, fuori dalla struttura c'è un porta ombrelli. Noi abbiamo lasciato gli ombrelli nel porta ombrelli per non bagnare all'interno della struttura e qualche altro ospite ce li ha rubati, pensando forse che fossero stati messi a disposizione dalla struttura stessa. Comunque niente di così eclatante. Abbiamo ricomprato gli ombrelli ( 800 yen ai combini) e ci siamo goduti il nostro viaggio.

• Nancy (7/5): Clean, comfortable and authentic - Extremely clean, super comfy beds, lovely staff with great English, warm powerful showers. This was the only place we stayed where there was room for our suitcases !! Loved the authentic Japanese style, though watch your head, door frames are VERY low. We were given western pillows which we were very grateful for ! Super hospitable. The showers and toilets being on a different floor to the room was a bit of a pain, especially with the stairs being steep, you can’t rush. Location wise it was great for Kyoto station but we had to get a bus into the main area (which I knew before I booked of course), and with the over tourism of Japan we often couldn’t even get on a bus home. Just something to be aware of!

• Sergio (10/5): Experiencia inmersiva japonesa de 10 - Era lo que buscaba, experiencia inmersiva en la cultura japonesa. El futón súper cómodo, todo súper limpio y todos súper amables. La habitación era muy espaciosa, el hotel está muy bien situado (se puede ir andando a Gion o a la estación de Kyoto) y el precio imbatible. Sin lugar a duda recomendaré este alojamiento a mis amigos y volveré.

Seems very old mattress, cold building, steep narrow stairs, bathroom far back first floor, very thin walls so very little pricey.

• Demi (10/5): Amazing stay! Should definitely book this again if I ever visit Kyoto again - When you walked in they welcome you with open arms and you feel already at home. They also loved to help you with a lot of things and the room was very clean and big (bigger than I expected it to be) the beds itself was amazing as well. Haven’t sleep so well in an other hotel/apartment bed I ever booked before! Like I didn’t know what to expect but it was mind blowing! Every thing was perfect. Nothing bad to say

Комната была очень уютная и просторная, с двумя традиционными японскими спальными местами — футонами на татами. От татами в комнате витал лёгкий приятный запах сена. Это был потрясающий опыт: спать на футонах очень удобно, матрасы мягкие, а одеяла тёплые и лёгкие. Атмосфера дома спокойная и дружелюбная, всё содержится в идеальной чистоте. Хозяйка очень гостеприимна и всегда готова помочь. Расположение очень удобное: в непосредственной близости от железнодорожной станции, рядом остановки автобусов. Проживание здесь стало настоящим украшением нашей поездки и незабываемым опытом. Однозначно рекомендую этот гостевой дом всем, кто ищет сочетание уюта, японской аутентичности и гостеприимства! Все понравилось, не могу выделить какие-то недостатки.

• Lesley (10/5): Great inn in Kyoto - Guest Inn Chita was perfect for my five night stay in Kyoto. The host was friendly and helpful (she lent me an umbrella when she saw me going out into the rain without one). The location is a few minutes walk from the train station, near bus and subway stops and across from the Higashi Hongan-Ji temple. This worked out well for my explorations in every direction. Quiet, comfortable. I highly recommend! Nothing! I was very happy with my stay.

Хозяйка очень радушная, с прекрасным чувством юмора. Здесь я в первый раз спала на футоне. Это великолепный опыт! А как нам понравилась кухня! Такое удовольствие пить матча, сидя на подушечке у стола, сделанного из спила дерева! Сыну особенно понравилось встречать рассвет на крыше гостевого дома.

The owner was fantastic, friendly, attentive and just really nice to have a chat with. I have rarely slept so well when travelling, the futon bed was incredibly comfortable. I wanted to take it home with me. The rooftop space was perfect for a rest after hours of hiking and exploring the city. This really is a local gem. If I had to choose one thing, I wish that my room had a view. It’s a minor and unimportant point because the view from the shared room area was brilliant and I don’t need much of a view when I am sleeping! 😅
• Sean (10/5): Exceptional - This place is really special. I actually wasn't sure when booking because of the shared bathroom. But the up side of how homely and uniqe this hotel was far outweighed that. It has such a nice/peaceful/cultural Japanese feeling, and I wish I could have stayed longer. It's one of the places I plan to come back to. The cleaner was warm and friendly, and the owner was a beautiful Japanese woman. There's a place to rent bikes next door, which I found to be the best way to explore Kyoto. Didn't stay long enough.
