The room was so large and clean, and the breakfast was extremly wonderful with pancake. And the grilled chicken was really really delicious. I will be back again.

Tëa (8/5): - Mysigt boende som ligger lite utanför staden så det är väldigt lugnt och skönt. Personalen var så trevlig och lät oss checka in tidigare när vi kom med bussen på morgonen. God frukost och bra restauranger i närheten. Vi var där under internationella kvinnodagen och de bjöd in oss att fira med dem och deras vänner! Rummet var lite fuktigt så handdukarna torkade inte helt. Men vi hängde ut dem lite och då torkade det snabbt
Emily (9/5): A truly memorable stay for our family. - The staff at Jungle Boss were exceptionally helpful, they were so kind and helped up to arrange many things from our trip to Paradise Cave to sorting a taxi to pick us up from the station to booking our onward travel. The location was beautiful and it was so quiet and peaceful at night.

De hjalp med at finde en tur til os, samt at finde scootere. Der er flot udsigt med 2 terrasser. Første værelse var beskidt og ulækkert, herefter blev vi tildelt et nyt som var bedre. Poolen var ikke gjort rent i hvad vi tror er flere uger. Den var grøn og der var fisk i. Den blev rengjort men stadig ikke nok til at vi ville bade i den. Afløbet til badeværelset var stoppet, det blev dog lavet.

Suzanne (7/5): Ok verblijf met goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding - De ligging net buiten de stad is fijn en rustig. De accommodatie heeft twee locaties. Een met een bar en het zwembad en een verderop. Daar zijn alleen kamers/ huisjes. Wij verbleven daar en dan heb je toch het idee dat je er niet helemaal bij hoort. Bedden waren erg goed, badkamer groot en ook de huisjes waren groot. Alles was een beetje gedateerd. De kinderen van de eigenaar waren erg aanwezig. In het zwembad of het vuil verbranden terwijl je even in je hangmat ligt is niet heel fijn. Gezien doet z’n ding en bekommert zich niet heel erg om de gasten. Tegelijkertijd als je iets vraagt regelen ze het wel voor je.
Emily (1/5): I regret staying here. There are many better places to stay - The shower pressure. - Ordered from the 5 minute menu, food took almost an hour. Staff didn't care. - Initially put in the incorrect room. We were informed the day after arrival just before we were about to go out for the day. We were told we would have to pack up and move rooms within an hour. There was only one other couple there. They did not need the room vacated that soon. - Customer service was terrible. - Shower pressure was good but the hot water would run out after a minute.
Charlie (9/5): Best stay in Phong Nha minus bird cages - Amazingly kind staff, spacious, calm vibes. Huge bathroom, pool too. Caged birds in the lobby area seemed really sad. Set them free and the stay would really be 10/10!!

Saskia (4/5): pretty location but also slightly disorganised - the setting was tranquil and beautiful, the pool and the room were lovely and big, free bikes! they helped us book an activity day and we got picked up from town late which was lovely, free breakfast food took a long time to come, our toilet didn’t work, it was quite far from town and they said they offered a taxi service but it was actually their car and they made up a pretty expensive price (and we didn’t fit in the car), and we had a disagreement at the end because $48 came out of my account and went to them but they said because they couldn’t find the bill we had to pay more and wouldn’t accept that we’d already paid a portion of it.

Olof (10/5): My favorite - Everything a hostel/homestay should be , and best beds I've had in a hostel. The people working there is very kind and hospital. Sometimes they invite you for happy water and karaoke, superfun! Very close to town but compared to other hostels this one has great open landscapes right outside the door.
Pietro (10/5): Exceptional - Great, spacious, clean bungalows out of the beaten path in Phong Nha, close to the river and caves but still detached from the main road so that the vibe is more "local" and relaxed. Everything worked super well, the staff is incredibly nice and attentive and the free breakfast (and home cooked food at their restaurant) is very tasty. A perfect place for a stop in Phong Nha or even for a longer, quieter stay with the countryside and mountains and rice fields around. Highly recommended!

Helen (7/5): Welcoming and friendly but the bedrooms need some TLC - A beautifully quiet location, with a friendly, attentive and welcoming family. Free loan of bikes which was great to get into town. Food on site was great. Help with booking trips into caves The separate building hosting the bedrooms have been built cheap as chips. The decor is lacking and there was a flimsy partition mdf wall between the bedroom and bathroom. the insects found there way in to keep me company all night. I think the a/c sucks them in from outside and I was bitten to pieces. From the pattern of the multiple bites this was also bed bugs sadly. I slept fully clothed for 2 nights.

We could leave our luggage, no problem. After the tour we had to wait a couple of hours for our taxi. We could make use of the pool and a shower, also no problem. Excellent service

The bathroom was quite mouldy but fairly clean otherwise and spacious. The location is a long way away from any other restaurants (15-20 minute walk) and even further from phong nha town. But makes for a nice remote stay.

Mattia (9/5): Lovely Basecamp - Cute and cozy homestay coupled with well organized jungle tours, definitely the best choice for visiting the wonders of Phong Nha. Really nice food cooked locally, warm and smiling staff members, they were always available and also provided laundry service. There were few minor things to fix in the bathroom and refilling shower gel : shall get a general inspection before welcoming customers.

Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional - Jungle Boss is a lovely homestay tucked a bit out of the town of Phong Nha. It has lovely views of the mountains behind and they provide you with bikes so you can get into the village. Although there is no need to if you don't want to as they offer delicious food, smoothies and cocktails. The homestay is based on a farm and so you know the food is fresh. The families on the street are extremely friendly and the kids are adorable. Booking with Jungle Boss was ideal as a solo traveller for their first time in Vietnam. They collected me from the airport, organised my cave tours and booked my bus journey onto Hue. They did all of this via WhatsApp before arrival which was perfect as I was only there for 2 nights so it was great to have it all organised. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be immersed in local life and tucked away from the main street.
Zo (8/5): The real Vietnam - quiet wth amazing views and local action like water buffalo. - What a great spot to enjoy the real Vietnam. Quiet spot with local cows and water buffalo. Frog spotting, start gazing. This is Vietnam not an area of attractions. We loved having a week of rest and riding bikes, going to caves, botanical garden etc (transportation is more expensive in this area) Coffee/ juice was not included in breakfast and we didnt know till the end when we cleared our bill

The homestay is just far enough from the nearby restaurant/hostel street to feel closer to quiet, local life, but only a short bike ride away (provided free of charge) so you’re options are plentiful. Also, wonderful to book tours through. A perfect stay!

I thought it was the same jungle boss homestay as the one you go to for the treks but it was actually about a 15 minute drive from there. This is my own fault but just wanted to say it here in case others make the same mistake.

Chaudiem (9/5): Lovely place near Phong Nha cave and Son river - If you don't mind chicken clucking in the morning, cows mooing at noon, and little kids playing on the street in late afternoon, it's the place for you. A cozy, sweet little place in its truest from of a homestay. The lady who manages the place is super honest and sweet. Breakfast is simple but hearty. We had dinner twice there and both times were great; a real homecooked type of food. There are many cute and good local restaurants along the river. You can borrow bicycle for an afternoon ride along the river, and have some local food or coffee. We took a 15 minutes bicycle ride to Phong Nha cave in one afternoon. The sunset on Son River, the peacefulness of countryside, the cave scenery when all the tourists are gone... were breathtaking. They can also help to arrange last minutes tour for you. We had to cancel one of our trekking tour and switch to a shorter cave visit and water activities. They was able to arrange for us within couple hours. The tour was perfect.
Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Great place just outside main town area. Lots of restaurants just a short walk away and an even shorter cycle if you use the available free bicycles. Well laid out very comfortable rooms and staff were extremely helpful in advising us what we could do and with helping book trips and organise drivers and advice for self-organised excursions. Neecx (5/5): Not where the Jungle Boss tours start from - Super friendly and helpful staff. Free bikes to use to cycle into the town (about 15min cycle). Bed was hard but comfy. Room and bed was clean. Thoughtful touches with things like filtered water in the bed and toothbrushes. Our room/bungalow is actually a few minutes walk from the main venue which isn't advertised. The pool is in need of some repairs. The bathroom in our bungalow is covered in mould spours on both the walls and the ceiling. The bathroom really needs renovating. Food is not good. The menu is very limited. We only stayed here as we were attending a Jungle Boss tour. Please note that this is NOT where the Jungle Boss tours start from, there is another venue they start from called "SY's Homestay". Search for "Jungle Boss HQ" and you will find it. It's about a 40min drive to get to there.
Kevin (8/5): Excellent service, friendly staff and good facilities - Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Communication both before and during our stay was excellent with Mary arranging drivers to transport us to and from the bus and to Paradise Cave and the Botanic Garden trails. The room was comfortable in slightly rustic jungle lodge style with verandahs front and back and had facilities to dry swimming gear. The swimming pool was excellent. We ate evening meals which were very good. We very much enjoyed our stay. If we had been intending to do one of Jungle Boss slightly more adventurous cave tours it would have been perfect location. While the location was quiet and at the very edge of the village it was away from restaurants and main centres of activity and doesn't benefit from river views although the countryside and farmland views are interesting. We spent more than we expected on transport costs compared to other locations in Vietnam. However arranging transport was very convenient and Mary was able to make arrangements at short notice.

Joseph (7/5): Overall it was pleasant due to the charm of Phong Nha. - The staff (especially Mary) are super polite, friendly, and helpful. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the restaurant food is good in quality and value compared to what is available in Phong Nha. What you can't see in the photos is that there is a house adjacent (1m away) to the homestay as well as another house directly across the narrow (5m) street. There are several young children who play there most of the day and are quite noisy. It's probably not an issue if you plan to spend most of your time doing tours, but if you are looking for daytime peace and quiet, you might be disappointed.

James (10/5): Exceptional - The staff couldnt do enough, very friendly, if they couldnt get something they would arrange it for you. Made the stay what it was. The rooms could be a little more up to date, but nothing of a issue. Everything worked and was expected.
Evi (9/5): Good stay! - Very nice and clean room! People working at the honestly were super nice and friendly. The only problem with our stay was a dog barking in a small cave for which we felt really bad for. Apart from that everything was really good
Joanne (9/5): this was an excellent choice for my partner’s 40th birthday which he wanted to celebrate quietly! Ha was an excellent ho - great location out in the countryside which is what we wanted, very homely/family and relaxed feel to it, the room was very spacious and the facilities were excellent, the food was also amazing - fresh home cooked food, all excellent value for money nothing
Lars (6/5): Pretty disappointing, not as expected - clean, comfortable room. Green environment. Good pick-up and drop-off service. Free bicicles. -we booked this accomodation because their tours were supposed to be really good. Sadly, during our stay, they could not offer a single tour for us. Nor could they organise a tour for us with a different company. In the end we had to organize a tour ourself with some other company (and had a great time) - breakfast was included, but drinks while having breakfast (tea and coffee) were added additionally on the final bill - the pool displayed on the pictures was without water and could not be used - accomodation was quite far away from the village‘s restaurants. The free bicicles that we could use were in horrible condition.

The woman who runs the Homestay was super helpful and also gave us good advice on the appropriate excursion for our family, including a 4 year old and grandparents. She took extra care to ensure our needs were met, including making sure our child was fed after the on-site restaurant closed, when she woke up late with jet lag! The breakfast was great, including a variety of local fruits and good coffee.

Kelly (10/5): - I stayed at Jungle Boss homestay with my 2 young kids. It was a wonderful place. The manager Huyen did everything to make us feel most welcome and was so kind. Good breakfast and dinner. They took especially good care of us during a big storm. Would have loved to do some cave tours with the company too, if the kids had been older.

Adrian (10/5): A taste of the real Phong Nha - Had a Great stay at Jungle Boss the Host was amazing and advised best activities like National Park tour ect and organised a family dinner and all transfers all at very good prices. Really helpful great people and would recommend to anyone, beautiful countryside and very spacious room. The best retreat for activities and countryside surroundings.
