- Jhauna (10/5): The BEST Sleep in a Hotel EVER! - First, Sydney the front desk manager, hostess, etc. was AMAZING!! Kind, welcoming & accommodating. Sydney always had a smile and a bright “hello” and was happy to help in any way. I had the BEST hotel stay I’ve had in my life - I’m not kidding. I slept soundly and dreamed every night! My room was spotless and it was quiet and comfortable. It was a last minute booking and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The breakfast was the usual hotel fare. The eggs were just warm. I don’t think they’re using Starbucks coffee and if they are, they’re making it extremely weak and that was disappointing. On Christmas morning the hostess would have clearly preferred to have been anywhere else. A smile goes a long way. I might suggest some light music in the dining area. The energy was so dismal, I ate in my room. Music will lift spirits and encourage conversation.

The room was clean. and they cleaned it up for us for the wedding night. They gave my room away that I had reserved almost 7 mts ago. due to overbooking. So then we had to get ready in the wrong room and then move our stuff to the correct room when they finally got it all figured out. It was a huge inconvenience and I had even called 1 month earlier to confirm my reservation was still good to go. I was getting married that weekend and we were late to the rehearsal due to all the messing around. I picked that room for the reason of the size because we were using it that morning to get ready for the wedding on Saturday.

- Kim (9/5): Superb - My suite was nice, clean, well equipped and located next to the stairs which I appreciated. The breakfast was good with a nice selection of food. I enjoyed the 24 hour access to coffee. We were back home in Hartford for my brother's memorial which we were responsible for. The hotel was located less than five miles from the venue which was fantastic. After the memorial, several other family members came back to the Cobblestone and we were able to have a great time visiting in the nice lobby in very comfortable upholstered chairs. We picked up a pizza and had supper there and left the area as clean as we found it. I booked four nights in a suite and one night for my son and family. They decided to stay another night and hoped to get into the same suite for both nights. My son called the Cobblestone re this. When I checked in, the clerk told me they would put his family in a suite above me for two nights. The day they were due to check in and were traveling to WI, I wanted to verify their reservation for which I had a confirmation number for one night. I was told by a different clerk that they overbooked suites and they were not going to honor my reservation for the one night. They put their family in a King room with no sofa sleeper. Well my booking.com reservation indicated my twelve year old granddaughter will be along. I was NOT happy. Fortunately as the kids were in transit, they were able to put them in a double queen for two nights. Why was my reservation not honored? Why was someone else given priority? There was no explanation given. Given the circumstances, I was shocked at how much they charged for two nights under these circumstances out of our control. This experience has eroded my faith in the booking.com reservation system. Lodging is key to travel. How terrible to travel not knowing if what you booked may not be available when you arrive.
- Kim (9/5): Great experience with a reservation glitch - I thought the facility was very very nice. My suite was clean, well equipped, the bed extremely comfortable with a great selection of pillows. I loved the historical photos displayed in my suite, two of which had direct connections to two of my great grandparents. I loved having 24 hr access to coffee and the breakfast was very good with a nice selection of food. I traveled back home for our brother’s memorial and was so happy to be able to stay within five miles of the memorial venue as we were responsible for setting up the hall for the celebration of life. After his celebration, some family members were able to visit a couple hours in the very nice lobby which was great. I booked a second suite for my son and family which was not honored when I inquired with the front desk despite having a confirmation number. Apparently suites were overbooked. This did NOT make me happy. We both were traveling home from Indiana for my brother’s memorial! Why was my particular reservation not honored in lieu of someone else getting a suite? This was not explained to me. Fortunately, they were able to put them in a double queen close to my suite. To be fair, I booked for one night and they stayed for two. They were able to stay in the same room for both nights. Their room was very nice. However, this has eroded my trust in the whole process of reserving a room through booking.com. As you know, lodging is key to any travel plan. If I book, travel and arrive at a venue only to be told the room I booked is not available, this is a terrible scenario. I was also not happy that there was not a greater discount applied to one night for the alternate double queen under the circumstances totally out of our control. The other issue I had was parking. Having grown up in the area, I know how incredibly popular the neighboring Mineshaft restaurant/pub is on weekends. The large adjoining parking lot was essentially full Friday and Saturday nights with Mineshaft customers parking in hotel spaces right next to the west side of the building. So when I left, I had a terrible time finding any parking! Perhaps they could put out some signage in that west lot close to the hotel reserving a certain number of spaces just for hotel guests on weekends. The parking on the north side of the hotel is on a hill which makes it quite challenging for older guests such as myself ( 67 years young ). It is extremely difficult for us older folks to offload luggage,etc if forced to park at the bottom of the hill, especially with a cart. I had to park at the bottom of the hill a couple times. I also know that Mother Nature created the hill, but just wanted to mention this.

- Greg871 (8/5): Nice place - Great stay! I stayed for three nights on business this week. The bed was super comfy and had good pillows. I ate at the restaurant two nights...solid food. Breakfast was standard complimentary breakfast with meat, eggs, and waffles. My only complaint was the coffee! It was Starbucks Cafe Verona, which is usually a good strong coffee. They must double the water or skimp on the grounds, because it was very weak. it even looked more like tea! Luckily the coffee maker in the room had the same coffee and i was able to make a better cup there.

The internet access was terrible - it kept going in and out. And we thought the breakfast area was too small and the selection minimal. Overall - we would stay here again.

The rooms are very clean an the the service is great.We had a misshap of water damage to our house an had to get a place to stay. - gmnae (10/5): Pleasant experience; will stay here again; some traffic noise noticeable in south side rooms - This was my first stay at this hotel, and it was a very good experience. I definitely expect to stay here again on my next trip to Hartford to visit nearby relatives. I experienced no problems with my room, although I did notice that the times on both the digital alarm clock next to the bed and the clock on the in-room microwave oven were not even remotely close to the actual time. (I reset both clocks myself.) One other thing I noticed is there could be a lot of traffic noise from vehicles moving along Hwy. 60 in front of the hotel. My room was on the second floor of the south side, which faces this main road. The traffic noise didn't interrupt my sleep, but I did find it annoying while I was sitting at the in-room desk reading e-mails. The next time I stay at this hotel, I definitely will ask for a room on the north side, which faces away from the road -- hopefully it will be quieter. Other than the traffic noise described above, I found the hotel to be quiet inside, but I did note that there were not a lot of other guests staying there during my visit, so maybe this isn't the norm. (I even commented on this to the front desk clerk, and I was told that it was an unusually vacant time. My stay was during three consecutive weekdays before and after the July Fourth holiday.)

Rooms were clean, water was hot and coffee was available 24/7 Ate once in the on site restaurant, but it was closed Sundays and Mondays which was a bit disappointing . Luckily there was a restaurant opposite which was ok. A bit overpriced but it was 10 mins from Erin Hills Golf course and we were there for the US Open, so I’m assuming that was the reason. Nice small indoor pool and fitness centre and complimentary breakfast which was ok. Staff really nice and friendly.

For the price of the room,$233.86, I was suprised to see a breakfast that was something less then what you'd expect to see at a super 8. Very blah assortment of pastry, barely luke warm eggs,no meat of any kind, etc. Just all around negative experience to start my drive home. I apologize to Super 8 for that comment I made, because I've never had a breakfast like that at any of there motels. The coffee was excellent though.

I called Cobblestone and spoke with Robyn, who said they had rooms available. When I got to the hotel, it was a pleasant change. Well maintained and charming. The front desk, delightful and professional. Robyn and Tina are great ambassadors for the brand. I am accustomed to 4 and 5 Diamond hotels and resorts, and this certainly had the quality level. I look forward to returning, and will check out this brand more as my travels bring me back to the midwest. Thank you for a relax, safe and comfortable stay!

- Thomas (8/5): - We had a good experience. Easy check-in and check-out. Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. Coffee was okay, breakfast was limited as expected. The road in front of the Hotel is loud with all of the truck traffic and sirens from emergency vehicles running up and down the highway. the area near the hotel was very walkable. Nice parks in Hartford. Nice town to visit. I would stay here again.

Wasn’t aware that breakfast was available Monday morning May have not been listening when we checked in Rooms are spacious & clean My wife said our bathroom, 411, smelled like a dead mouse. I didn’t think so, but she has a very discerning nose
- G8811QMannm (10/5): Welcoming - From making the reservations, to check-in, through check-out I felt well cared for. Very courteous, attentive staff. We always enjoy staying here and we do so often for family events in Hartfard. It is an ideal location in the heart of the city, convenient to all activities.

- debraaX2637ZP (8/5): Get better help!!! - Front desk is NOT sufficiently monitored. They say, "Pick up the phone on the desk." I did for over 5 minutes. Ben claimed he didn't hear it! I videoed the last bout of time. It's ridiculous!!! It was literally check out time!!! Did they not expect people leaving to check out? I had no digital or paper receipt. I needed some documentation of my stay.

- Janelle (8/5): Yes Stay Here - We booked this hotel as it was walking distance to the Schuler Theater. Great central location and pretty decent hotel. It was clean, quiet and priced right. We also stopped at the restaurant in the hotel Wissota and was pleasantly. Good food, great service and fair prices.

A wide range of food options nearby. Love the food at wissota chophouse. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay and ever in Hartford. Truly a gem!
- KrisEscapesRooms (8/5): Not Half Bad - I've definitely been to better hotels, but for Hartford, the Cobblestone isn't too bad. It has everything you need. I was fortunate enough to be on the fourth floor, so I didn't really hear anyone else, which was nice. They do offer a breakfast that's pretty good. But make sure you tell them you don't want to be charged $2 per night to use the safe. They will automatically charge you if you don't say anything.

Great location I could just all right downstairs to the best restaurant. Loved the delicious breakfast, I recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay The service went above and beyond expectations.
- carollT118GQ (8/5): Would stay again - Room and bed were comfortable. Many selections in the included breakfast and good coffee. Coffee and tea available 24/7 by the front desk. It was -15 below during my stay, and the heater could just keep up with that temperature, but was exeptionnal weather.

- DAVID (6/5): - Arrived at the hotel and room temp was at 50F. Turned on heat which was extremely loud and not functioning. Had to go to desk and ask for another room. Why would this hotel place me in a room with a nonfunctional heater.

- Debra (9/5): Cobblestone - The convenience of the location. The breakfast and coffee!! Several people standing by the elevators, including myself could smell a horrible sulfur smell. It happened 2 out of the 4 days we stayed there.

- William (10/5): Great visit and very comfortable - The hotel was very clean, rooms were comfortable and quiet. We were in Slinger for a wedding and Cobblestone was about 15 minutes from the wedding. The hotel is near downtown Hartford and some great restaurants and bars!
- march139 (10/5): Perfect for golf group - The room was perfect for our group - very spacious and clean. We loved the second tv in the lounge area of the room and made use of the pullout bed. Complimentary breakfast was a welcome bonus that we all took advantage of, and the Starbucks coffee was a win for all. Great hotel and in a great location
