Guest Reviews
- Melina Zoe (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Beautiful location and accommodation would highly recommend - Location was brilliant easy to get to from station
Owner provides a detailed video showing you how to enter property
Beach is very close you have all restaurants and shops out your front door Maybe a safe to store valuables
- Adrienne (2/5): Not recommended (details below) - The property is very close to the train station and city center, making it convenient for getting around. Communication with the host before arrival was smooth and helpful. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I think it’s important to share some details for future guests to be aware of.
The "private bathroom" is not ensuite — it’s located outside the room, in a shared corridor. While each room has its own designated bathroom, the corridor itself is shared with other guests who also access their bathrooms there. This setup can lead to uncomfortable situations, especially at night, when people may walk through the hallway not fully dressed.
The room is directly above a bar where very loud music plays until 11 PM. We tried to sleep with the windows closed and earplugs in, but the bass was still too loud to ignore. After the music stops, the noise continues from the bar's guests outside — talking loudly, singing, or yelling — and this was still audible even with the windows shut. On top of that, even in September, the room was too hot to comfortably keep the windows closed.
The fridge is shared with other guests. We had stored over €30 worth of food and drinks, but on the day we were leaving for a trip, we discovered everything was gone. The cleaning lady had removed all of our items — she kept the unopened food and drinks for herself, and threw the rest (which was still good, but opened) into the trash. When we confronted her, she retrieved the unopened items from a room she was cleaning — where cleaning dust was in the air — and pointed out the rest in the trash. To our shock, when we returned later that day, those same items from the trash had been put back into the shared fridge, next to food belonging to other guests.
We informed the host about this. He initially replied that he would “take some controls” (we’re not sure what he meant), but after that, we received no further response. There was no explanation, no resolution, and no refund — we were simply ignored.
The bed was also very uncomfortable.
- Zoi (6/5): Bathroom not inside the room! Shared corridors. - The location is excellent – very close to the beach, central shops and restaurants, and just a short walk to the train station. The staff was helpful and approachable via WhatsApp for everything we needed. Great view! The bathroom situation was very disappointing. Although it was technically private (with its own key), it was located outside the room in a shared corridor. This was not mentioned anywhere in the description, and the photos make it seem like the bathroom is inside the room, which is misleading. Each time we needed to use it, we had to get dressed, unlock and lock both doors – very uncomfortable, especially during the night. Additionally, the walls were extremely thin, so we could hear everything from the other rooms. Moreover, every time someone used the bathroom at night it was very noisy, which made it hard to sleep.
- Anna (10/5): Awersome location and personnel - Location is awersome, personnel at agency is super friendly, the matrass was very comfortable, beach, cafes, supermarket - everything very close. Next time i will look for this or like place to stay I liked everything
- Manuela (8/5): - La buena ubicación y predisposición de los anfitriones. Había bastante humedad en la habitación
- Joseph (10/5): Excellent hotel. - My wife and I stayed at Al Chiaro di Luna Luxury Suites. It was the best hotel on our vacation on the Amalfi Coast. It is in a smaller town, Vietri Sul Mare. It is a short bus ride from the Salerno train station to the hotel (3 euros). The town has a beach, a port, lots of restaurants, shops and cafés. Amalfi was too big, too crowded and hard to get to. Our host Asunda was a great hostess. She helped us with the ferry to Amalfi and local directions. The free breakfast was delicious. We recommend it and would stay there again. The driveway up to the hotel was a little steep, but we were OK walking up.

- Catalani (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Trevlig och mysig! - Rymligt och mitt i byn. Nära till allt.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Berta (6/5): Comfortable room and good location, but bathroom outside was inconvenient - The location of the room was great — it was close to everything, and even though it was right in the city centre, it was surprisingly soundproof. The private bathroom was outside the room. It felt like an inconvenient setup and kinda awkward having to go out every time I needed to use it.
- Brian (8/5): Generally a nice, comfortable place to stay for a week. - Meals were not included. The location was excellent, in the centre of Riomaggiore with easy access to shops, cafes and restaurants, although the room on the first floor was almost directly above the noisiest bar in the village that stayed open until very late, making it necessary to keep the window firmly shut. Fortunately the excellent fan in the bedroom gave some relief from the heat. Although the bedroom and bathroom facilities were clean, the wooden floor finished in black picked up a lot of dirt and did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly enough.
- Andreia (8/5): Very good - The apartment is in a great central location—close to everything and easy to get around. Check-in instructions were clear and straightforward, which made arrival hassle-free However, the apartment itself has several issues. The windows do not isolate noise from the street, which made it hard to sleep. There’s no AC, and the ventilation is not enough to deal with the heat—our stay was quite uncomfortable because of how hot it got inside. The bathroom is also very old and clearly in need of renovation. Overall, the apartment has potential, but it doesn’t justify the price in its current condition.
- Lily (10/5): It was a lovely accommodation. - It was nice. Na
- Brooke (10/5): Beautiful village, beautiful accommodation! - The property is beautiful. We loved the central location. We couldn’t shower two at a time, the water heater won’t keep up, and bathroom 2 has a toilet that runs is you don’t fiddle with the buttons after you flush. Other than that we loved the property!
- Ankush (8/5): Very good -
- Lee-anne (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (9/5): Nice enough, but wouldn’t return. - Clean, well equipped apartment in decent location. Unfortunately we were in the room which shares a corridor with an office - this meant it was quite noisy in the morning and at one point someone accidentally walked into our room (we ensured it was locked at all times after this!).
The room is also directly above a restaurant which was noisy until about 11pm.
The shower door was half missing which resulted in a rather wet and slippy bathroom!
- Paul (7/5): Great room, fantastic locstion - the room itself was really nice and comfortable. the location was perfect, right at the bottom of the town near the tunnel to the station. The bathroom is a separate room down the corridor, it's not an ensuite room, which we hadn't spotted online.
The bathroom also had a funny smell.
- Gargi (9/5): Excellent - Very helpful. Loved the service. Got a lot of information about the place from the host.
- Claudia (5/5): Passable -
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional - The bathroom is not in the room. You enter the bath from a shared hallway.
- Aoife (3/5): Disappointing - Clean apartment Facilities not as described. Didn’t have WiFi for the 5 days despite asking staff every day to fix it. Was promised a resolution but nothing came or no apology. No fridge or microwave as described on the booking.
- James (1/5): Infested with bed bugs…DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - Nothing It was infested with bed bugs. The staff was dismissive, unhelpful, difficult to get in touch with and promised a refund before ignoring all future communication attempts.
- Bianca (7/5): Perfect location - Perfect location right in the heart of the city. Very comfy and large bed. The room looks also cosy. Very hot during summer and the streets are noisy so you cannot really sleep with the windows open. The bathroom lacked natural light and air. Do not recommend the boat tour.
- Russell (9/5): Superb - Easy to check in, great central location, everything was clean and on time. A little strange that the private bathrooms are separate from the rooms, but it worked fine!
- Pikria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (7/5): Good - Clean and big bed, big bathroom Bathroom is outside the room, room is small but normal for the area
- Ford (10/5): Great location! Awesome room! - Amazing location! This hotel is close to the train station and super central to everything-as far as stairs go-there were less to this hotel than many others-it was a quick climb up! It was a welcome surprise after reading about the stair climbing in Riomaggiore. The staff were super kind and communicative. I was able to store my bags before and after check in, they reserved chairs at the beach for me and were quick to reply on WhatsApp to any other questions! The room was set up nicely, with touches of cookies and candy alongside towels in bows. The bed was comfortable and the window was incredibly sound proof! The hostel across the street was open for dining outdoors late and I was worried I’d hear them but once the window was closed it was silent. There’s also a great ceiling fan. It was a great stay! Everything was great!
- Bianca (6/5): Pleasant - The location is excellent, the staff were very kind and helpful, In the evenings they shut the office door so you have peace at night. The nights we were there it was a big soccer game but the sound proofing in the night from the main restaurant area we could not hear anything which was great. We did the cooking class Stefano recommended it was pricey but all and all a good class and many hours spent preparing delicious meals so was a good experience. The room was not ready upon our arrival however they let us keep our bags in the room as we waited for it to be cleaned.
The room was located right next to the reception so through the day you heard the cleaners and other guests checking in and out.
Our last day a lady was raising her voice at staff in reception for quite some time not sure what was happening but if you plan to be out most the day the noise won't bother you.
Downside of the cooking class was the meals I had requested to make were not included and she had 4 for of us in the class but invited family friends to join so we had to make room for them in a smaller cooking bench area but they were lovely so turned out to be a fun night.
- Vivianna (10/5): Amazing!! Traveled with 2 other gals and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Great location! - Loved the location! 3min. walk to the train station, 5min. walk to the ocean, 2min. walk to the ATM, and right on the main street with restaurants, bars, shops. Please note this property is cash only! Caught us a bit off guard but thankfully there was an ATM
- Cumming (10/5): Exceptional -
- Markus (8/5): A good place when using to only sleep and as basis tlfor your Cinque Terre Tour - Location was very central and easy to find Room was super tight with no space for suitcase
- Christian (7/5): Good - Close to the tunnel to the train station. Pretty clean. Water in the fridge when we came always appreciated when you have been traveling. Comfortable single beds however when you go with your wife you don't want two single beds put together. There was constantly noise as the room was close to the reception and every sound, talk or discussion was heard as it was from inside the room. The shower wall was broken and made it very wet on the floor. They said they would give more towels cause of that but they never came. We stayed two nights and no one come to clean the room on the second day so it was still wet and none made beds and wet towels when we came back to the room. I give it ok but for sure think there should be better places in Riomaggiore. Also a very strange thing is that on Booking and on Google Maps they have another direction then the one we finally got the room and the reception was. This made it very confusing and as it was raining not the best start. Also if the direction from the Google Maps and Booking were there other rooms (not sure if that's the case) well then I would rate it even lower as that place we entered and it really looked as a fallen, none clean and almost a place that you dont want to enter or stay at all. Also the bed was not a double bed it was two small beds put together very uncomfortable when you go with your wife!
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (8/5): Great location, nice property. Check in process and staff contact needs to be updated. - Property was clean & had everything we needed for our stay. 3 br with 3 separate bathrooms. Great location, right where the tunnel comes out from the train station at the base of the village. The check in experience and contact with hosts was terrible. We were stuck outside for over an hour without any response after multiple attempts to contact the phone numbers or email provided. This was resolved but not ideal with 6 people and a baby waiting outside for a long time after a day of travel.
There were a few instances of people (I believe cleaner and manager) entering the apartment without any notice to access another room. This was fine but notice should be given to guests if this is the case.
- Murray (9/5): Enjoyable experience and helpful hosts. - Location is excellent in that it is very close to the train station. Excellent instructions were provided for finding the location as it involves going thru an archway and up a few flights of stairs. Would be a challenge if walking or climbing ability is limited. The room is right beside the office and after 8:30 am is very noisy if sleeping in was on your agenda. Evening is also noisy from the restaurant bar below but was good after 11 pm.
- Agent (8/5): Very good - Great location
Available fridge and microwave (just not inside most rooms)
Private bathrooms
Attentive staff A bit difficult to find especially if you don't have service. Here's the secret though the rooms are by a restaurant/bar at the side you have to go up two floors straight.
Seemed like room cleaning might have been extra. Confirm this though.
The microwave and fridge are outside in a general hallway. I didn't notice till my last day but that's fault though.
- Nikolic (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location, in village center ( dont have to much steps).
Self-check-in instruction sent by whatsapp.
Bathroom is in coridor outside room but is private with key. No heating, weather was bed, with wind and rain.
- Joby (7/5): Good -
- Silvia (10/5): Room with atmosphere - This room was really cute, clean, and spacious. I can not complain about anything. The staff were helpful. I got very detailed instructions on how to find it. Close to everywhere. Few minutes from the train station. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Everything was ok
- Hatice (7/5): Good location - The location of the property was excellent, very close to the train station and the beach. The room was big enough. The stairs of the building were to steep. Old people and/or people with walking/climbing issues should beware.
- Victor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (3/5): Poor -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (3/5): Left a day early due to noise and the overall status of the room. - It was close to the train and marina. This was the only good thing about this property. We booked this hotel for three nights and ended up leaving after two due to the below reasons. I’ve honestly never left a bad review, but this one needs to be noted for people to know what they are booking.
The location of this property was located directly above a busy bar and restaurant area. We were awake with partying up until 2 am with loud music, singing and the noise from the bars and restaurants. The cops were there trying to quiet the noise, but it was not successful. The noise started again at 5 am when the restaurant directly underneath the room opened again. I am surprised that this bar and restaurant noise directly under the room was not noted in any of the reviews we had read prior to staying. There was nothing in the description of the room or location mentioning the location in proximity to this very noisy areas.
The bed was like sleeping on a brick covered by a noisy waterproof mattress. It was very difficult to get comfortable.
The bathroom ceiling above the shower had mold all over it. And mold was noted in the tile area throughout the shower as well. There were also stains on the pillows in the room. It did not feel clean.
While you have your own bathroom, it is not connected to your room. You just unlock and lock it with a key to get in. This is noted in the description, but is an inconvenience.
In our ten days in Italy, this place and location was the only one we selected that was a terrible location and stay. If you are looking for a clean and relaxing place in Riomaggiore, this place is not for you.
- Suchit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Loved our stay in Rimaggiore! - The location was the best part! It was centrally located between the water and the main street. The room was a little small and the fact that the bathroom wasn’t in the room was a downside. But t was all worth it because of the location.
- Beejal (8/5): Very good - Great location of the room, just outside the train station. Not too many hills or steps. On top of restaurants and bars
- Shirley (8/5): Very good -
- Jackson (7/5): Bathroom not connected to room, but good people. - Gorgeous location, great fun to look out window onto Main Street.
Hosts were good. They let us switch our days when another tour cancelled last moment on us. Bed wasn’t the best. The throw pillows were grimey, only one pillow each, need another. The ‘private bathroom’ may be private but is it’s own room through the main area, with its own lock- very inconvenient, may as well be a shared one.
- Abdul (9/5): Superb -
- Elly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johan (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, wonderful staff, clean and big room with great breakfast
- Ava (8/5): Very good -
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Tuva (10/5): Amazing - Beautiful room with great view, and also amazing host A little hard to find reception
- Eryk (9/5): I realy recomend this place ❤️ - Lovely room with super location! Beautiful view for city. Comfortable bed. You can hear other residents.
- Jean (9/5): Superb - The view was beautiful but the room was definitely smaller than I thought it would be and the front of the bed was less than a foot from the wall. It was manageable the small space though and the decorations and everything was lovely. And the view from our window was definitely the star being on the main street.
- Cassia (3/5): Would not ever stay here again. We got the worst possibly located room. - I'm sorry to say, but I didn't really care for much at all for the room. I wish I could be more positive , but there really isn't any part of the room or the experience that was acceptable. At least the air conditioning worked.
It was very close to the beach and train. Convenient. The room was directly off the main office. We asked for another room due to this and were told that"it's not like you are in your room all day, right?". The traffic in and out due to cleaning ladies who were accessing the side room, the workers, and incoming guests was very disappointing and disrupting. We would hear conversations and even sounds of chairs scooching in and around in the office as well. Hard to feel like you are on vacation when you hear BUSINESS happening all around you. They said that the office usually closed by 6:00 and one night they were there past 7:00. We like to sit on a patio and that is important to us, BUT, the small table and chairs provided for us was not something we could use because it blocked the front door to the tiny hallway, that like I said was a traffic zone. Across from our door was where the maid's got their supplies, and right between that and us was the office. ALSO, our room was not ready when we got there at 4:00, an hour after check in time.....even though I had communicated with staff as to our arrival time.
The bed was hard and had a seam, but we know that is somewhat common in Italy and so not a big deal. Also, the shower door kept coming off the track. The train tunnel is directly under the room, we first thought there was an airport close by. The room itself was fine but the location of the room was the worst possible. We were there a LONG four days with no attempt to relocate us. Others checking in after us, got better rooms. This was supposed to be a supreme room and it was anything but that.......because we were so unhappy with the location of this room, we tried to be gone from our room as much as possible. THAT IS SAD. Very disappointed-felt very unheard and dismissed.
- Fabrizio (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was good and near the station. Location is in the center of town above a bar and has minimal steps. There could have been a mini fridge or AC inside the room.
- Deanne (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location with a cute window looking out onto the main street
- Gintare (8/5): Very good - The location and the staff were really good.
- Andra (8/5): Very good - The room and bathroom were very spacious, close to the beach, restaurants and the railway station. The bathroom had a mildew or sewer smell that was disturbing at some point
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - fantastic place close to the station and main centre of things. We enjoyed our stay here due to the location and cleanliness towels were only changed every 4 days and sheets only changed for a fee, toiletries also weren’t restocked.
- Anonymous (10/5): my daughter and I loved the close location to the water and restaurants. there were not many steps to take compared to m - excellent location nothing
- Annemarie (7/5): Good - Central location with easy access to train station. Juliano was very helpful Quite expensive for what we got. No coffee in room. We had to sit outside waiting to access our room for over an hour as there was no staff member on site.
- Artinou (8/5): Very good. - The location was excellent. The fact that the bathroom was outside the room but it wasn’t a big problem.
- Molly (10/5): they did a great job. would definitely book here again. my AirPods fell down the sink into the drain and they got it out -
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): If the private bath was attached, we would have rated it even higher. - Location was great…really cool vibe as well! Although we had a private bathroom, it was separated from the room by a hall requiring keys to lock and unlock all doors.
- Mary (6/5): great location. our room was next to the office so was really nosey - location extremely noisy
- Monica (9/5): Superb - Beautiful room, lovely decoration. Stefano was very helpful always. He help us with Heather and extra duvet. They gave us a lot of tips for the area.
Location is very convenient, close to everything.
Bathroom private and great size. The bathroom is private but it is outside of the room.
- William (10/5): Friendly, safe, and perfect location. - Amazing stay, great hosts, beautiful location. Very happy with our stay and will recommend to anyone we know who plans on visiting.
- Mj (7/5): Run by very hospitable people. - Right in the center of the action! The bed was but a single mattress.
- Kelvin (10/5): Exceptional - very friendly staff
- Genevieve (9/5): Superb -
- Anisa (1/5): terrible - location is near the station Bed side was broken. it was making noise. so we couldn’t sleep for 2 nights. very very congested room. so hard to move around and keep your luggage. In the toilet there were insects in the tissue roll. we left early than planned.
- Yuval (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristina (7/5): Good - Stefano, the owner of the hotel, is very friendly and caring. Before the arrival we received a detailed guide about our stay and about Cinque Terre with recommendations about places and restaurants to visit. Stefano and his colleague met us at the hotel and very nicely showed everything. The room was clean, the location is perfect. The bed was very uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep :(((
- Lacey (9/5): Superb - I loved that it was in the heart of everything. I loved breakfast that was included. Little walk for breakfast but worth it. Not used to all the stairs and hard for luggage. Also didn't like how loud everyone/thing was in the mornings
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellul (9/5): Superb -
- Tessa (6/5): Pleasant -
