Guest Reviews

- JOHN (10/5): Brilliant highly recommend. Would love to go back - The location was ideal. Situated on the edge of a field. The food was exceptionally good. Out hosts were pleasant to talk with and very knowledgeable Nothing
- Liz (9/5): - The grounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly The location was a little out of the way
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Home Farm - Stuart and Susan are wonderful hosts, and are very knowledgable about the local attractions and places to go. Highly recommended from the both of us.
- Giuseppe (10/5): - La gentilezza dei proprietari, mai vista una cosa simile. Molto cordiali. Mi è piaciuto tutto. Ovvio, non hanno servizi particolari ma sono prodighi di consigli su cosa fare.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Very pleasant stay, very pleasant folks. - Breakfast was exactly what you asked for. Home made locally sourced food. Nothing we didn’t like
- A. (10/5): - 10 out of 10,lovely b&b, would definitely come back, recommendable!
- Alistair (8/5): Farm from hime - Lively 3 night stay, room was large and clean with a great view over the fields. The host was happy to assist with my requests. Food was fresh and high quality.
- Raymond (8/5): -
- Tomasz (10/5): Sehr gern wieder! :-)
- Ian (10/5): Great and will definitely be back - Location and the friendly atmosphere Nothing
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about our stay. Our hosts Stewart and Sue went out of their way to make it more like home. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Dr (10/5): Wonderful hosts and superb bed and breakfast - Home Farm is tucked down a picturesque country laneway in a brilliant central Highland location. Soo pretty. It immediately felt like home.
Hosts, Sue and Stewart were welcoming, warm and discrete, attending to all details to make our two night stay as comfortable as possible. We loved them for it!
We thought the house and gardens superb. Dappled light across wide green lawns with mature trees and flowering borders were so relaxing.
The rooms were generous with comfy beds, super clean bathrooms and ensuites. Toiletries were set out for our comfort. Tea and coffee, too. Plus, our own sitting room!
The generous breakfasts set us up for the day's sightseeing and both Sue and Stewart gave us excellent local recommendations; the Singleton Distillery, the Ord Hotel nearby and Clava Cairns. The central Highlands location meant day trips were an easy drive to West Coast to Ullapool, northern Scotland and eastern locations such as Culloden and Cromarty.
The exquisitely clean, well appointed rooms, comfortable bedrooms, farmland views and generous, kind hosts made this trip absolutely special - beyond our expectations. These are superhosts, deservedly. Our only sadnes was that we only booked 2 nights. In hindsight, it should have been at least 4!
We shall certainly come again, if we can.
- Mike (10/5): Amazing! - Very welcoming staff, quiet country setting and lovely garden. Comfortable beds!
One of the best b&b’s ever! Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): This is the most excellent bed and breakfast that I have stayed at . Stewart and Sue were the most h - The breakfast was excellent with a massive choice of food served in a beautiful dining room all food was served fresh and hot with the added bonus of fresh homemade bread Sue always asked if you would like more breakfast tea or toast Couldn’t find any fault with the service
- Angus (9/5): Excellent all-round experience. Highly recommended. - Lovely hosts, lovely accommodation, lovely location, lovely breakfasts. What's not to like!
- Lesley (10/5): Truly memorable and a real pleasure. Would highly recommend Home Farm to all visitors. - Property was attractive, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food was beautifully cooked and owners were a delight and always helpful.
- Gareth (10/5): Lovely - Clean, comfortable, friendly, good food and nicely decorated. Nothing
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - Like in grandma house :). All is great.
You can have very persolnalized breakfast.
- Bagpipetours (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay Nothing
- Rob (10/5): Very, very good! - Very friendly hosts. The really tried to make us feel at home and had very good tips for things to do. Great breakfast also. Beautiful, quiet place with fantastic garden. Highly recommended. Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Sue and Stuart are fantastic hosts and the accommodation is perfect - Magnificent all round. The breakfast was exceptional. Nothing
- Steven (10/5): Beautiful location with gracious hosts - Sue and Stuart were the most delightful hosts! Warm and helpful at every turn, they truly were a joy to stay with. While there is not much in Muir of Ord itself with regards to restaurants, nightlife, etc., it is such a central location that you really can go just about everywhere. Ask Stuart to give you ideas on where to go and what to see - he gave us an itinerary around the western shore of Scotland that was simply stunning. Warning - you will need a car to get around. The grounds of Home Farm are beautiful and so well designed, perfect for wandering or just for sitting and enjoying the natural world around you. The only negative - and this has nothing at all to do with the B&B itself - is that you have to rely on a car to get around. It's a bit of a walk to the train station if you're wanting to go into Inverness, and the bus routes are sparse. Don't make our mistake - make sure you hire a car before getting there.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Owners of the property were very friendly and helpful. They did all they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms could have been a little warmer but, as it was summer, such cold weather was unusual, so understandable that the heating was low.
- Teresa (9/5): Would strongly recommend to others. - The room was all we needed and the breakfasts great
- Darrell (10/5): Scotland’s Hidden Gem! - Lovely home with beautiful gardens. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating.
- Julie (10/5): Fabulous weekend! - Fabulous country B&B.
Good nights sleep
Delicious Breakfast
Great Hosts
- Ken (10/5): Comfortable and very enjoyable - Location is rural but with easy access to major roads in all directions and Inverness is also very close. Breakfasts are great and beautifully cooked. Hosts are superb and very professional. Plenty to do and see within a short drive.
- David (10/5): Nice escape from busy in town B&Bs - Delightful home surrounded by farmland. Hard to find in the dark
- Antoine (10/5): Exceptional - Sue and her husband were just perfect hosts! they have a lovely home with a beautiful garden. They both make you feel at home and are eager to share there knowledge, wether it si on nature, the surronding areas or what to do in scotland! we highly recommend a stay in their house.
- Deborah (10/5): Our stay wasn’t long enough we enjoyed every minute although we had a busy schedule & didn’t get long enough to enjo - Sue & Stewart were very friendly, helpful & basically were a lovely couple. They have a beautiful home which they choose to share with people. Lovely room very comfortable & excellent home cooking. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Would stay there again if in the area - Very nice property Property was good but access road could have been better too many holes
- Gernot (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are lovely people, very considerate and welcoming. The breaktfast was very good and always made by Sue, loved it every single time. Both are always open to chat and share information, very nice people. The garden is wonderful and you can see the effort and love that has been put into it. The B&B lies in a remote region that is great for relaxing and doing trips to the highlands as well as to the Speyside. The whole stay at the B&B was 10, 10, 10 across the board, we enjoyed our stay there a lot. Nothing, everything was fine.
- Simon (10/5): Sue and Stuart were welcoming, charming and helpful hosts. The breakfast was the best with haggis, black pudding, sausage - Lovely house and garden in a quiet lane surrounded by farmland. No complaints
- Anne (9/5): Top notch. Would stay again.😀😀😀 - Peaceful and tranquil.
