Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Mike, who personally showed me to my room and handed me the keys. He was gracious, kind, and quick to respond to any questions—something I truly appreciate when traveling. His yard is beautifully kept, with lush greenery and blooming flowers that offer a peaceful spot to enjoy a cup of tea or quietly plan the day ahead. There’s a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes the space feel cared for. The pricing was very reasonable for what was offered. I’d absolutely stay again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Prima voor een paar nachten! - Erg aardige gastheer. De badkamer was klein maar de kamer groot waardoor het onhandig was dat de tv zo klein was. Prima locatie want op loopafstand van het centrum. Handig dat je ervoor gratis kon parkeren. Aanrader voor enkele nachten.

- gregory (10/5): Great inn / very clean / highly recommend! - This is a very nice inn, close to the train station. My wife and I stayed here only one night; the proprietors were very kind and directed us to a British pub for dinner which was wonderful. The next day we hiked along the cliffs to Dover, enjoying the amazing scenery. Highly recommend!

- Mike (10/5): - Great location to walk around Folkstone town, close enough to be walking distance but far enough away to avoid the noise of the town late nights. Has some off street parking and for me safe motorcycle parking was provided within the garden which was great. Nice rooms with facilities you'd expect.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hosts were nice and helpful, breakfast was good, and the room was clean. The parking is can be tricky and the intersection can be loud, but that's not something the hosts can control.
- S R (10/5): Quick Stop Before Channel Crossing. - Only a very quick stay for us as we got in late and departed very early and missed breakfast, so I can't comment on the food. The owners were both incredibly welcoming and even called a local pub on Thursday night to check if they could keep the kitchen open for a few extra minutes whilst we walked there (The British Lion.) The building is a relatively old one, hence no lift as far as I knew which is fine for us, but people with mobility problems should mention on booking. Our dog was also made to feel very welcome. From the limited contact we had, I got the impression that the owners would go the extra mile and do their best for customers. Again, for one short night I didn't check and don't believe there was aircon and it wasn't really necessary on our night. When we next head toward Dover for a channel crossing, we'd be more than happy to stay again. It makes a big difference when you are made to feel welcome by the hosts. Perhaps we take an extra night to spend a bit more time to see Folkstone?

On street/site parking was provided, the Staff were incredibly helpful, approachable and friendly. The place itself is clean & presentable but not somewhere we’d like to stay for any length of time. The en-suite bathroom is minuscule. It was value for money

The TV had a line across it though so needs replacing and the property itself needs some investment. On the whole a nice place to overnight before catching the tunnel which is about 15 minutes away.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Generally good. - Stayed for a single night due to getting an early Eurostar - perfectly placed for this at around 15 minutes from the terminal. If you want somewhere that’s well placed and clean then this is a great option. Owners are lovely and very friendly also. Personally I found the room too noisy (traffic and a (presumably) guest ringing the door bell three times after 11.10 at night sadly) and bright (no black out curtains) at night so won’t be staying again but I am a pretty light sleeper unfortunately. Location is also great for a variety of restaurants just five minutes walk away.
