I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a - A beautiful home from home steeped in the beautiful countryside. Our room had lovely gardens views and The bed was comfortable. Lizzie and David are Wonderful owners. They welcomed us so warmly. Lizzie served us a lovely and hearty breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Lucy (10/5): - This beautiful stay is not to be overlooked if you're staying in the area. We booked the Clock Tower after a wedding at the Granary in Fawsley and this stay is easily head and shoulders above any other option in the area. Despite finishing at the wedding relatively late, Lizzie and her partner greeted us with professionality and the hospitality you would expect of a 5* hotel. The rooms was an absolute dream, with all the amenities you could ask for even down to fresh milk in the fridge! The bed was super comfy and despite being in the clock tower, the silence was the loudest sound. The views were outstanding and the breakfast deserves its own 5* rating in itself. I can not recommend the hospitality of Lizzie and her family enough! 5*, OUTSTANDING!
- Mark (10/5): Exceeded my expectations - An outstanding room with superb views Nothing
- Erhard (10/5): Aussergewöhnlich! - Tolle Gastgeber!

- David (9/5): Made to feel at home - We had the top room with lovely views out over the countryside. Quirky property, full of interesting curios and artworks. Comfy bed. Tasty breakfast that set us up for the day. Enjoyed the bath. Some might prefer a proper shower. Some might like a more minimalistic decor. But it felt homely.
- Melanie (10/5): Our busy wedding weekend stay was absolutely perfect because of this beautiful B&B! - We absolutely loved everything about The Clock Tower! From easy communication prior to our arrival to the warm and friendly welcome we received when we finally arrived after a hellish journey from Scotland, we instantly had great first impressions before even setting foot inside the accommodation.
Our impressions were upheld when David showed us to our room - everything about the property was welcoming - full of life and character - and our room was lovely, homely, and immediately comforting. We loved the big, comfortable bed, the wonderful big bath, and the views were gorgeous too. We couldn't believe our luck the next morning when we were treated to an amazing breakfast of yoghurt, muesli, and fruit, a cooked breakfast, and toast.
The entire time was peaceful and quiet; our hosts David and Lizzie were hospitable, gracious, and kind - even offering us a lift to a nearby village to collect our car the morning after we'd been to a wedding.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the area, The Clock Tower should be at the top of your list - we cannot recommend this enough: truthfully, we never wanted to leave. Nothing!

Picked for the convenience to our family’s wedding, but ended up being the unintentional relaxing escape of a weekend break we really needed! Beautiful home, with stunning views, David and Lizzie took care of absolutely everything and were so welcoming. We came with our 10 month old and also my husbands parents. Had a great nights sleep and the windows black out quite nicely. Luxury bathtub meant we could unwind once the baby went to sleep too. Breakfast was also phenomenal and my husbands intolerances were catered for

- Jonathan (6/5): It's a B&B in someone's house not a hotel - If you are expecting a hotel it's not, it's a B&B in a couples personal home! It may suit some people and not others. You need to decide for yourself

- Luiiusa (10/5): Absolutely Wonderful - Highly recommended
- Patrick (10/5): Marvellous - Simpy Marvellous & Great Poached Eggs - Thank you Lizzie and David for welcoming us into your lovely accommodation that surrounded us with so many interesting features and memories.
The Clock Tower is absolutely gorgeous.
Our top floor room next to the old clock mechanism was marvellous. Spacious, comfortable, great bed and a large a bathroom.
Our small balcony with table and chairs was visited by birdsong all around and no other sounds. Adorable views across the garden towards an ancient church (to which the cherry tree walk is simply delightful) and onward to the more distant rustic countryside.
Several times we enjoyed a wonderful walk along the gate-locked lane (no traffic) to the Red Lion - a great pub in the lovely village of Hellidon.
Our car stayed parked in the forecourt for several days as we simply absorbed the English countryside.
To top it off were the wonderful hosts - and the poached eggs at breakfast - excellent. Indeed, at the risk of overstating things, they were perfect.
And of course - our other new friends - the owners' two lovely dogs!
When next we visit from Australia we will stay again!
- Patrick (10/5): Marvellous - Simpy Marvellous & Great Poached Eggs - Thank you Lizzie and David for welcoming us into your super home that surrounded us with so many interesting features and memories.

- Mjgkyle (9/5): An excellent rural B&B in Northamptonshire, well worth a visit for a few days. - This is a very rural B&B at the end of a country lane, and has great views. The bedroom was on the top floor of this older very spacious property, and there were lots of stairs. The proprietors were very helpful in taking my luggage up to the room. The room was very spacious and good, with lovely views. It was a clean and very comfortable room. There is a lovely deep bathtub. Breakfast was very good, and you are asked what you might like, and if necessary the food is brought in for you. Timings for breakfast are very flexible, and made convenient for the guest. For evening meals, there are various pubs within a 10 minute drive, which served very satisfactory food. The only drawback being, that you could not enjoy much wine with your meal, as you need your car. There is free wi-fi provided, but mobile signals can be dodgy. I had an excellent stay overall, and would thoroughly recommend this B&B. As I stayed three nights, and was in between moving properties, I would have found it helpful to have a desk height unit and chair for doing some necessary computer work, but the typical holiday maker would not find this necessary! The bathtub was good and deep, but there are no handles or grab handles to help you out! As an older guy, I would have found such handles useful and it would have made things safer. Occasionally the hot water runs out. As I visited in between seasons (mid-September), there were quite a few rather dopey flies, wasps and other insects around in the room, which were a bit of a nuisance.
- Sharmila (10/5): Amazing house, full of charm and character - Beautiful room with beautiful views. Very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast.
- Austen (10/5): Charming B&B in a beautiful location! - Slightly quirky but utterly charming B&B set in beautiful countryside.
The owners David and Lizzie are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious, served in an orangery overlooking the garden.
We stayed with our 2 boys in the clock tower and all loved it!!
- Iain (9/5): Enjoyed the location and great hosts. - Very friendly hosts, large comfortable bed, quiet peaceful setting Nothing we did not like.
- Leisha (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing stay at the house. The hosts were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very big and the bed so comfortable. Also the breakfast was tailored to suit what you wanted, along with lots of nice touches. We would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Colin (10/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful house in a wonderful setting. Lovely hosts who looked after us when we needed them to. Great recommendations from them on places to eat. Fantastic room at the top of the house, with a great bathroom, with loads of lotions and sweet smelling potions to pamper.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clairebos (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful old building in a lovely setting. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. Bonus, the family dog had puppies whilst we were there. Fun place to stay
- simon (10/5): - A very different experience from staying in most other hotels and guest houses. This is more akin to a 'home stay' where you are truly a family guest.
For us we instantly felt the difference in a very positive way- as we settled in we instantly felt extremely relaxed.
The rooms have lovely views of the surrounding countryside and you can watch the clouds pass by in the sky while laying back in the bath if you choose.
Quite a remote location - but the local walk was lovely.
The decor was varied with interesting furniture and small art items - it really took us away from the humdrum.
The cooked breakfast was very fine indeed and the coffee was tasty. Heck, even the butter for the toast was nice and soft and easy to spread.
We loved our stay.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Beautiful place in the countryside, with an amazing host! - The Clock Tower is a FANTASTIC place to stay. We stayed the night before our wedding, and got ready there in the morning (with a 10 month old baby in tow!) Lizzie bent over backwards to help us, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom is very large, perfect if you're travelling with children, and has a fridge + microwave too. The house itself is quirky and beautiful. Breakfast was insanely good, her eggs are something else. I only wish we could have stayed longer to explore the grounds - it's a beautiful part of the world. Nothing.
- Peter (10/5): New favourite - Spotless, charming, very, very quiet, beautiful setting, friendly and attentive hosts. Absolutely nothing negative at all. Possibly one of my favourite ever places I've stayed at in 25 years of travelling for business. I've recommended it to all of my work colleagues.
- Silvester (10/5): Exceptional - Owners were very welcoming and hospitipal. Went above and beyond and booked a second stay. Nothing to dislike - perfect
- Sharon (10/5): A wonderful stay! A little gem!! - A beautiful home with wonderful hosts, including Blue the dog! The breakfast was perfect. Was recommended to try the Red Lion in the village for dinner, a lovely walk and great food! Bed very comfy, lots of books, a perfect view, and the bath is great for couples. The towels could have been softer. That is literally all l could possibly find!! Stay here, you won’t regret it!
- Marianne (10/5): Welcoming, comfortable and peaceful. - The Clock Tower is a most restful and comfortable place to stay. The setting is very peaceful, surrounded by beautiful views. There are lovely walks to do immediately from the property.
We received a warm welcome on arrival and were extremely well looked after throughout our stay by our charming hosts.
