• HIROSH (6/5): 静かに旅情を満喫できてよかった。 - 元民宿ということで一通りの宿泊設備、自炊用品が揃っていて、さらに洗濯機と洗剤が用意されていたのは嬉しい。情緖ある漁師町のはずれにあって徒歩圏内にスーパー、飲食店などあって便利。 建物が古いため、全体的に暗い印象。共用スペースも狭くて居心地はあまり良くない。

• Marjorie (10/5): A very friendly host and a nice guesthouse - The guesthouse is spacious and comfortable, there’s a kotatsu in the common area, which is enjoyed sitting at. There are also free laundry facilities which is very convenient, the toilets and shower room are clean and the rooms spacious with thick futons. And the host was very friendly, I did not speak japanese but we managed to communicate with the translation app, he was very considerate, asked me several times if I needed anything throughout my stay and offered to drive me to the bus station on the day of my departure and showed me sakura trees on the way there, that was really kind so thank you again! :)

• LEI (8/5): ロケーションがよくて居心地いい - 場所は良くてあちこちの観光に行きやすいです。近くに日帰り温泉もあります。 スタッフが常駐ではないのですが、いたときに必要なことを親切に教えてもらって、困ることがなかったです。 電動自転車のレンタルもやっていましたが、自転車で松崎を回るのが楽しかったです。 エアコンの暖房は部屋中を暖めるまで結構時間がかかりました。

• Giorgio (6/5): Pleasant - It takes little to clean the place, but cleaning is not a priority here. Also bed sheets were washed but had yellow stains probably out usage, again new sheets are needed.

• Costa (4/5): Responsive and understanding staff but poor standard for guest safety - The staff member who checked me in was kind and friendly. The kitchen was well equipped and convenient. I understand that my experience may not apply to everyone, but as a solo female traveler who has stayed and even worked in many hotels and hostels across Japan, I was quite surprised by the way this place was managed. During my stay, I was the only person in the building. My room had a large paper sliding window (障子紙) facing the stairway and the door itself only had a very simple lock. With no staff or other guests present, I contacted the hotel number to ask if I could lock the front door at night for my safety. They did eventually agree but told me I needed to be up to unlock it at 6 AM for staff to enter. However, no one showed up at that time. Honestly, this made me concerned about the security of the building, as it seemed to be left unattended and unlocked for extended periods. After raising these concerns with Booking.com, the hotel did respond professionally and offered me a refund and early checkout, which I appreciated. However, I still believe that some basic security measures, such as ensuring the building is properly locked at night and that there is either staff onsite or the rooms have adequate locks. Please consider taking guest safety more seriously.

The host in the guest house is one of the best host I have ever seen, excellent care and really clean, traditional Japanese house. And I will always remember the host welcome us and said to us “Feel at home”. Highly recommend travelers to visit and stay there. everything is really perfect!
• Shari (8/5): Very good - It was clean and it had a full kitchen. The owner was very nice and the parking was excellent. The shower was downstairs and didn't look to be in the best condition.
• Aprilius20 (10/5): Perfect Recovery Spot - I was on a long ride along the entire length of the Izu Peninsula. I was planning on staying in Shimoda but everything was sold out, but I found this place. I didn't know what time I would arrive, but the host arranged everything perfectly with instruction cards, for an easy check-in. I arrived pretty late, so I never got to meet him, but thank you! The room was more than large enough to leave my stuff scattered around one half of it, with the other housing the fluffy futon. So comfy, I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. Everything was clean and I appreciated the modern toilet. Towels downstairs, and a nice big shower. There was a large common room, and I think they even have e-bikes for rent. WiFi was good. Best of all, for a cyclist- there is a storage hut just outside the property to stash your ride safely, protected from the elements (and theft). Nothing at all! Do I really have to write something in this section?

• Emma (10/5): Beautiful small beach side town with many secret places to explore, so relaxing after the busy cities of Japan - Quiet, got to hear the birds singing in the morning. Close walk to the beach which was nice to swim at. The manager was very helpful and nice!

Even Iwanaga-hime - Mt Eboshi had a day of merci, and no cloweds hindered her view to Fuji and her sister Konohana-sakuya-hime. Thanks for all drives and food restaurant assitance.
• Lena (10/5): Exceptional - This is an amazing guest house! The host is super nice and helpful. He gave us great recommendations for the area and did everything to make sure we have great time. The rooms are clean and cozy and the kitchen really has everything you need! You can rent e-bikes and normal bikes, as well as snorkeling sets, which is great to explore the area. There is really a lot to do and see. Recommend 110%!!
• Tin (10/5): Exceptional - Itokawa Guesthouse, located just a short 10-minute walk from the center of Matsusaki, stands adjacent to the museum. Situated in a serene neighborhood, this clean and tranquil haven offers convenience with a nearby convenience store and supermarket just two blocks away. The hospitable host manager is always ready to assist with answers to your queries and local insights. All in all, Itokawa Guesthouse proves to be a delightful place to stay, and I'm definitely open to revisiting in the future.

• Serpani (10/5): Special - I stayed here in 2019 for the first time and I was so impressed by the location and kindness of the host that I went back in 2023. This place is just so special and I highly recommend it to all the travelers visiting Izu Peninsula. Absolutely nothing should be changed!
