Guest Reviews
- Beth (10/5): - Quiet and beautiful site. Easy access to restaurants and the train. It is Cinque Terre, so be ready to walk uphill - but not too far.
Manager greeted us and was very helpful. We especially appreciated the restaurant recommendations (affordable but good, expensive but good, and not worth it).
Really a lovely place. Would definitely stay there again.
- Ethan (10/5): - This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! Our room had a huge terrace with the most incredible view. Gianluca was so friendly and made sure our stay was perfect. He gave us all the information needed for trains, hiking and inside knowledge of the best restaurants in town. What an incredible room with comfy bed, comfy pillows and great facilities.
- Laura (10/5): - Beautiful room with a beautiful view from balcony. Owner was helpful and gave lots of good recommendations.
Only downside was (not the hotels fault) we had a power cut for a few hours on our last night when it was stinking hot outside and had no aircon. So we didn’t get much sleep at all until the power came back on. Otherwise highly recommend!
- Amarilys (10/5): - Love it and for sure will stay again if I return to Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre. Gianluca was excellent in assisting and finding for us a Taxi and recommendations of Restaurants.
- Spencer (10/5): - The room and property were beautiful, great place to stay on the Cinque Terre.
- carolyn (10/5): - Great location, bright with a nice terrace. Excellent help from Gianluca for all aspects of our stay!
- Carrie (10/5): - Excellent! Quiet location. Beautiful patio!
- Jovy (10/5): - Very hospitable property management/ownership with helpful information, maps and recommendations for our stay. Beautiful room and view!! Clean, spacious and comfortable visit. Easy access to the main road (without needing to climb stairs).
- Hayley (10/5): - The room was really nice and clean. The view was amazing and we had balcony with a table and chairs. We enjoyed our time here.
- Shae (10/5): - Fantastic location, host and room. Would stay again!
- Eliana (10/5): - Excellent stay, very helpful staff that oriented us to the area and made sure to answer all our questions. The room was very clean with a great location! We loved the balcony, great view!
- Charlotte (8/5): - Lovely hotel and helpful staff
- Priscilla (8/5): - 1) if you can, get the room with terrace / balcony. The view is really nice.
2) Walk a couple of steps to cafes, restaurants and local grocery shops and even key sites in Riomaggiore, because it's small. 5 to 15 minutes typically.
3) Host was very helpful, balancing attention and privacy.
4) Quiet and comfortable bed.
Note there are 2 ways to get to the accommodation from the train station. One with stairs (Riomaggiore is after all on hills), another up slope but no stairs. We chose the second as we had heavier luggages and it was manageable.
- MARIA (10/5): Perfect - Lovely cozy large room with a nice town view
- FANG (10/5): - Excellent location
- Dan (10/5): - how super clean it was and clise to everything. i would highly recommend this place
- Jennifer (10/5): - Excellent location and wonderful view!
- Roy (10/5): - we stayed two nights and had a great stay loved the little balcony .staff very helpful and parking structure is not far away .would recommend to anyone
- Pramith (10/5): - Nice clean place with friendly owner/manager. Highly recommend.
- Troy (10/5): - A great find on the Cinque Terre. A very convenient location (the whole area is hills and stairs so no way around that) in what I feel was the less touristy of the 5 towns; you could actually walk around without bumping into people. Room was great although pretty barebones. Receptionist at front desk was very helpful, but will say it’s not a standard hotel so we saw her at Checkin and then never saw anyone else in lobby or anywhere for the three days we were there, ie no one working the desk, which added to the peace and quiet.
- Beth (10/5): - Unbeatable views from our large terrace. Great location! Be prepared for a steep walk up the hill from the train station with your luggage.
- Amy (10/5): - This little place was built deal. We had a view of the entire village and the sea. The clock tower was charming, with its bell chiming on the hour and half hour (starts at 6:00am - ends late in the eve). The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Best bed I’ve had in Italy so far.
- Stephanie (10/5): - I like that there was a balcony to give an option for an outdoor space. Gianluca was an excellent communicator. He responded quickly to questions. He suggested ways to receive discounts. He alerted us of bad weather and went out of his way to make a survival kit and delivered it personally to each guest. I would happily recommend his rooms to others.
- Antonio (10/5): - Loved it
- Sam (10/5): - Loved our stay here, very friendly and helpful host and the location and room were lovely. Great amenities too.
- Anton (10/5): - Great experience overall
- Melayna (10/5): - Great room, great view
- Celia (8/5): - The property is very clean and was very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The walk to it is a challenge, all uphill, but worth the effort.
- Lindsay (10/5): - Property was clean and safe. Communication easy and the owner met me exactly as instructed. Instructions to the property were clear. He gave us some good recommendations for restaurants nearby!
- Laurie (10/5): - The accommodations were excellent, and the check-in procedure was effortless. The staff member assisting us was exceptionally courteous and helpful.
- Roxanne (10/5): - Very cute place, private balcony. Everything is walkable.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful - This was an excellent room! The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Everything was very clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful overlooking the sea and beautiful flowers on the railing. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to family and friends.
We even had a kitty visit us, which we liked.
- Sarah (10/5): Bellissima - This was an excellent room! The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Everything was very clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful overlooking the sea and beautiful flowers on the railing. I would definitely stay here again or recommend it to family and friends.
We even had a kitty visit us, which we liked.
- Terrie (10/5): - Great place to stay. The only drawback is there are no stairs and no handrails going up the stairs
- Jill (10/5): - Very nice room, beautiful location!
- Sheri (10/5): - Excellent place to stay!! Highly recommend!! Completely remodeled, spacious, clean, the owner is very friendly and accomdating. We would have stayed longer if we could have!! We would walk to a hillside park with a bench to watch the sunset overlooking the sea, and share a bottle of wine! Perfect place to end a perfect day!!
- Samina (10/5): - The host was very gracious, allowed us to check in early as well as store our bags on the last day we were checking out. The room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony was lovely. The location is ideal, We will definitely be back.
- Breanna (10/5): - Beautiful room and location. Bed was comfortable. Beautiful balcony. Clean. Friendly staff. He let us store our luggage until check-in.
- Anthony (10/5): - We loved our stay, the terrace was amazing, we spent lots of time in the mornings and late at night drinking wine. Facilities are excellent, lovely helpful host. We would highly recommend. Just remember if you want a high view, you need to climb to get to the view.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 3 night stay - Room was very clean and spacious. Enjoyed the small balcony. Breakfast was great. Great service. Appreciated the early checkin and storage of luggage. The only issue was that I was given incorrect access code for building but received a prompt response to the issue. Quiet location. Definitely recommend. Mini refrigerator was great.
- Julia (10/5): - Beautiful view of the island with a lovely decorated balcony
- Jami (10/5): - Loved our stay. Loved the town. Close to everything. Host was very friendly and helpful. Loved the area. Cinque Terre is beautiful.
- Amy (10/5): - We loved the location just above Main Street as well as the friendly staff and personnel at the property.
- Sara (8/5): - We loved the view from our room, right in front of the sea. The room was super clean, environmental friendly, and walkable. Breakfast was served through a local restaurant which was 15 min walking from the hotel itself with great 2 options for omlette, orange juice and a cup of coffee of your choice. The only issue was that there was no safebox in the room and we had to leave our passports (which the manager ensured us it is a very safe town). Just have it in mind that if like us you travel with big luggages, the taxi service in town is not very great and you may need to carry your luggages to the top of the hill :D Great exercise for me... Iadored the cats in the balcony of our room...
- CHRYSANTHI (10/5): - Le Giare Rooms was simply perfect. From the very start, we were impressed by their willingness to stow our luggage many hours before check in. From check in to check out, Viola was incredible - she provided an introductory "lay of the land" that included recommendations for everything from transportation to wine bars. She was so kind and responsive! Our room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Bonus: Le Giare did not have many stairs to climb compared to many other accommodations in Cinque Terre. The gem of this property was our balcony that had the most magical view of the buildings and the sea. Watching sunsets here was unforgettable. The property location is quite convenient to access, as it is right off of the main road in Riomaggiore - only a short walk to restaurants/shops but tucked away enough to be peaceful and quiet. Lastly, we really enjoyed the free breakfast each morning at Bar Stazione - this was a really wonderful touch included in our stay. Thank you to Viola and the Le Giare team for providing top notch accommodations! We will be back :)
- Shaynna (10/5): - I had a lovely stay here! Beautiful location. The staff was so helpful. I arrived in the morning and they made sure that someone was there to check me in early.
- Nicky (8/5): - We booked here for the view and we were NOT disappointed. Communication from the property could have alleviated alot of issues with arrival (how to avoid many stairs, time to drop off bags etc). Staff only avaialble for an hour ot two in the later afternoon. Breakfast option not acceptable IMO - too far and very poor service there..need a closer option like Old School for imporived experience. But again - the view is worth it.
- Angelique (10/5): - Love this place. Staff was great and very accommodating. Very clean. Location is superb. Terrace view was amazing and was lucky enough to witness the sunset right from the terrace.
- shaji (8/5): - Beautiful place. very close to the railway station. property is well maintained. Staff is super friendly.
- ELIZABETH (10/5): - Great view.
- nael (10/5): - Great
- Alvina (10/5): - Very clean, great location close to everything but just far enough away to be quiet. Good size room and friendly staff.
- Judith (10/5): - Beautiful place. Owner is thoughtful and helpful and helped us arrange our Covid tests before departure. Love cinque terre.
- Fabio (10/5): Worth a stay - The hotel is located in the center so close to many shops and restaurants.
The staff were ever so accommodating and pleasant.
Highly recommend staying there.
- Jessica (10/5): - This place was amazing! My boyfriend and I treated ourselves to a room with a view and it was spectacular. The balcony was huge and we watched the sunset over the Mediterranean every night. The rooms were quiet at night and in the morning, and it felt like we were the only ones staying there. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious. The breakfast is prepared down at a restaurant near the train station, which was a perfect way to start the day. I am so glad we picked this spot for our vacation!
- Greg (10/5): - Beautiful terrace and location
- Felipe (10/5): - Great experience and perfect location.
- Kathryn M (8/5): Worth the trek up the hill and stairs - Fabulous view and comfortable stay. It should be noted that you will have to be able to navigate some steep hills and stairs to stay here but the trek is paid off by a wonderful view and lovely place to stay.
- Daniel (10/5): Amazing trip - The hotel and host was top quality. Clean. Amazing view and would definitely recommend
- Katya (10/5): - Great place with amazing view. Great place for romantic getaway!
- Verified traveler (4/5): S outside Cinque Terre and just visit for a day - Here is why I was very disappointed:
1) I have to park my car about half a mile away and drag my luggage uphill ( extreme slope to the hotel). No one to help and Parking was $35/ day
2) Breakfast was half a mile away from the hotel near the train station
3) no one on duty for most of the day
4) I advise travelers to stay in Genoa and just visit Cinque terra for 1 day by train.
- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful view - Beautiful room. Exactly as pictured with a spacious bath. Its a hike to the hotel but so is everything in Cinque Terre. This gem is worth it. I highly recommend the room with the terrace-beautiful view of the sea and town.
- Domenico (10/5): - Big balcony, view was great from balcony, have to hike up hill and stairs to get to room.
