- Nicolette (4/5): We drove home instead of staying the night here. - The bedding looked fresh and clean but we left and did not end up staying the night so don't know what the comfort was like. When we arrived, we had to weave through a pitch-dark dining area to the reception. The first room had not been aired at all and we were hit with a very unpleasant smell (damp / stuff) as soon as we walked in. The second room was only slightly better but still stuffy, hot and we felt like it would have been nice to aerate the rooms and put on the aircon before our arrival. My friend's 13 year old child commented how many weeds were all over the paving. The pool was green and even the 7 year old with us did not want to swim initially because of the water colour, but it has been hot so I do understand this can happen. We wanted to relax by the pool in the afternoon but there was extremely loud dance music playing, as if we were in a club. Not relaxing at all! Then it changed to loud rap music full of swearing, and there were lots of kids around. We asked the waitress if they could please change it and she said that another table (presumably guests) were playing the music from their phone to the massive boom box. Not sure why the staff are allowing other guests to set the (unpleasant!) tone of the establishment. We had a drink, got our bags out our rooms and drove home. The event that we had been attending had to be cancelled due to weather, but we unfortunately felt relieved to spend the night at home instead. A real pity after paying so much for what we thought would be a nice relaxing treat of going away for the night. The property is in a regular suburb, and could use some maintenance work in parts.

We had a dispute with the booking, but her attitude and demeanor towards us less then comfortable that I purposeful did not challenge the dispute as could tell she was not going to be professional in dealing with us. - the WiFi signal was terrible. Constantly kicking us off - the netflix package was terrible as well - the TV was dated and terrible to work with - the water from the bath taps was brown and rusty - toilet seat was those awful cheap plastic seats. Certainly not to standard and not what one would expect

He opened the Bar area for us to watch Dricus du Plessis fight very early Sunday morning - Cappuccinos was delicious! Little bit of finetune window dressing renovations on the outside might help.

The location is good, had no problem with it. I like the vintage look, it's too beautiful! Going up the stairs with a suitcase was a bit steep, wish there was a ramp or other alternative means. There was less variety and options for breakfast and the omlettes fillings were also limited, and excluded those who don't eat pork. Artifical plants and flowers could be replaced by the real ones.

The owners were very kind and helpfull. On every question from our side they reacted positive, we felt really at home! We hope to go back once…. The load shredding is a big thing in S.Africa, very special to experience how this influences the life in S.A. and the problems it causes !

- E&a (8/5): Excellent - can really recommend for a nice break - Location was good for us as it is fairly close to home. The breakfast was included and very good. Supper was delicious and not expensive at all. We wanted to swim as the pool look very inviting, but then the weather turned bad. All was good and we will go again. Even if is just for breakfast or lunch. their menu prices are very reasonable.

- Mahwash (6/5): Disappointed with the hotel I chose. I wish I booked elsewhere. - The location The room need renovations. The furniture is old, handles are broken, wood is chipped and broken. I was quiet upset to see how much they charge an how little they offer.

- Ernie (8/5): Overall, an above-average stay at this value-for-money hotel - Ample secure off-street parking. Quiet. Fast internet provided (300-350mbps). Large comfortable bed and linen. Good breakfast options and generous portion sizes, and very friendly staff. The floor of the room was quite dusty, and there wasn't a lot of space in the room to manoeuvre around in the room for two people.

- Michael (7/5): Generator and borehole, thank goodness! - Breakfast was ok. The coffee was not great, but every effort was made to make it something we would enjoy. I think something was lost in the translation, on occassion, though. The hosts went to a great deal of trouble, despite the area running out of water and so many powercuts. Despite this not being their fault, every attempt was made to help provide a resolution for us and our friends The terrifying steps. The tiny second shower. But since we were given an option to inspect first, this is not terrible. Better wardrobe facilities would have been great. This may change, as the new owners are renovating and updating the property.
