• Terence (8/5): A pleasant evening - We would stay here again and liked the aspect, the food and the individual service A longer stay would allow for better use of the facilities. Only staying overnight meant we couldn’t avail ourselves of the pool, spa etc

• Didier (10/5): Pause détente. Calme et tranquillité - Un havre de paix ! Calme c’est le premier mot qui ne vient à l’esprit. Puis le cadre reposant, des hôtes d’une grande gentillesse et bienveillance. Literie et petit déjeuner au top. Le petit plus… le jacuzzi !

• Roger (10/5): - Quite a quirky little hotel with lots of charm in a stunning location. Off the beaten track, without Sat Nav it would be a challenge to find it. When you do it’s worth it. Second time we have been there, and will go again some time.

• Cindy (10/5): Peaceful - Beautiful quiet location. We opted for the evening meal which was delicious, fish on a bed of Moroccan vegetables, three cheeses and lemon tart for dessert, all washed down with a very smooth red wine, bread and water also included, would definitely recommend. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom both a good size. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was typically French and sustained us through. Would without a doubt return here if we are again in the region.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Wonderful - It was perfect. The hosts were so generous and friendly. The accommodation is in a beautiful location. Quiet and delightful. We felt very welcome! I hope we can go back.
• Helene (6/5): - Le gîte manque d’entretien ( odeur, toiles d’araignées,…). Les excréments des animaux se retrouvent sur l’herbe (chien..) et jacuzzi (cygne) . La wifi fonctionne très mal. Le cadre est pourtant bien surtout avec des enfants.
• MATTHEW (10/5): It's calm! - After a late ferry arrival we landed late at Moulin Calme but we were able to check in. We slept so well. It's definitely calm! We then arrived downstairs to a wonderful breakfast by the pond with Juliette the black swan parading. Thanks so much for a fabulous stay on our french road trip.

• pamela (10/5): Beautiful stop over - We will come again. Beautiful boutique hotel. What a find. Friendly. Comfortable. Super clean. Quiet and relaxing. Not too far from the motorway but felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Relaxing , reading by the lake is perfect.

However there are no options although they did cater differently for my wife who is vegetarian. I would recommend the meal partly because it was delicious and also because there did not seem to be many restaurants nearby.

• Andre (10/5): Rustgevende plek. - Enorm rustgevend. Heerlijk gegeten. Prima plek om te overnachten. Wij waren er op doorreis naar huis maar het is ook een plek om een paar dagen te verblijven en tot rust te komen. Er is weinig te doen maar als je daar behoefte aan hebt kan je het waarschijnlijk wel opzoeken.
• Keith (10/5): An Oasis in Glorious Countryside - We stayed here on the last night of our holiday, driving back from a two week stay in south west France. It was perfect, very relaxing and comfortable. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful - we watched deer and pheasants in the field across the lake as we ate the delicious evening meal. Far better than television! Frogs serenaded us all evening. The hosts were waiting for us when we arrived and made real efforts to help us settle in, despite our limited French. The table d'hote meal was beautifully cooked, with an emphasis on local regional products. A good choice of matched wines was available at a reasonable price. Local cheeses featured on the optional cheese course. Breakfast was filling and delicious, with a selection of home-made jams to complement the fresh bread and selection of cake and pastries. Juice was freshly squeezed and zesty. We had a lovely room, with a window overlooking the garden and a very comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom was light, spacious and well-equipped, including an electronic bin! Our Dalmatian dog was much admired and welcomed, with pictures being taken by the hosts before we left. We had a wonderful, restful evening in beautiful countryside, which left us refreshed for the drive back to Calais. Cannot recommend this place highly enough; we will certainly stay again if we are in the area.

• Eric (8/5): Un Havre de Paix - Accueilli par des hôtes aimables et avenants dans un cadre enchanteur et bucolique et champêtre, il y a de quoi se réjouir. Le séjour fut presque parfait si ce n'ai que j'ai de la peine à dormir dans un lit équipé d'alaise plastifiée. Je comprends la raison de cet équipement, mais je ne trouve pas cela très agréable. Pour les déplacements professionnels, il manque aussi un bureau, mais il est vrai que le lieu est plus propice au séjour "détente". Sans ces petits désagréments purement personnels, j'aurais qualifié le séjour comme "parfait". Un endroit idéal pour une halte romantique, j'y reviendrai avec plaisir avec mon épouse si l'occasion se présente.

• Verified traveler (10/5): un gîte qui porte bien son nom ! - Séjour vraiment zen et tranquille au milieu de la nature . Les gérants sont très accueillants et sympathiques . La cuisine servie est familiale avec une jolie terrasse pour prendre les repas au bord de l étang . La chambre violette était très bien , décoration moderne , spacieuse et tout confort . Un joli coin terrasse piscine où il fait bon se détendre . Bref nous avons passé un agréable moment ! Si on devait chipoter un pti peu ce serait sur la qualité du pain et la taille de la piscine mais bon tout le reste est super !
• RENE (10/5): Un lieu à recommander . - Accueil très sympathique dans cette chambre d'hôtes aux prestations exceptionnelles . Les repas (préparés par la propriétaire sont excellents . Nous venons de découvrir un "Petit coin de Paradis" au Moulin Calme (dont le nom est très bien porté).
• Jeffery (10/5): Calm at Le Moulin Calmed. - A magical spot located beside a small pond. The owners were charming. The evening meal was excellent. A very secluded location which for some, including me, may be difficult to find in the dark.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Calm and welcoming. - This is a little piece of heaven, with excellent hospitality, good food and a lovely pool, spa and millpond. Eric and Marie Anais are superb hosts and kindly helped us improve our French. My only criticism would be minor, in relation to the decor in our second room, but the overall ambience made that insignificant.
