• rpablo (9/5): Muy buena elección en Plakka - La ubicación es estupenda. Para grupos grandes está muy bien. Decorada. La habitación triple es más incómoda (escalera de caracol) , pero en general compensa . Estas en medio de Plakka, muy buen ambiente, te queda todo cerca para visitar. Muy buena elección. Acceso a la habitación triple por escalera muy pequeña.

Das oberste Stockwerk ist nur über eine Wendeltreppe erreichbar. Für unsere Kinder war das ein zusätzliches Abenteuer.

• plut (9/5): בית מהמם במיקום מושלם - דירה מהממת, במיקום מצויין, מאובזרת, נקייה ומפנקת. הצוות נפלא ושירותי. יש מעט רעש מהרחוב- לנו זה לא הפריע, אבל זה משהו שצריך לקחת בחשבון כשבוחרים מיקום נפלא ומרכזי כזה.
• James (8/5): Nice one night stay near all the spots. - Location was great, with restaurants and attractions nearby. Living room was a good place to gather. Some nice accoutrements in the kitchen. Wine was a nice touch, as was outside courtyard. A little difficult to manage luggage from where our transportation could get us. A bedroom on the first floor would have been great.
• Laurens (8/5): - Perfecte ligging, zeer centraal in de gezellige Plaka wijk. Het nodige is aanwezig. Goed voor 1 of 2 nachten. De vele badkamers maken het gemakkelijk om met grote groep zich te wassen. Beetje rumoerig, maar pal in de gezellige week en op te lossen met oordoppen.

• ELizabeth (10/5): Great house in a location convenient to all the sites. - Location, location location! I may have missed it in the description but just note the 4th bedroom (which is nice) is accessed through one of the other bedrooms via spiral staircase.

• Marléne (6/5): Central location, attention to cleaning and it's even better - + The location was very central, there was loud noise and music from the restaurants but we expected and knew about this so not a big problem. + Cold water and wine in the fridge, coffee etc. offered - great! + Facilities otherwise were great in kitchen (although could not get the Nespresso machine to work but not a big deal) + Bathrooms and rooms were clean and fresh! - Cleanliness unfortunately, floor and carpet in sitting room and kithcen were dirty and there were bugs and cockroaches in the kitchen and living room. We had agreed on a check in time and cleaners were still rushing to clean when we arrived. Maybe that's why it wasn't clean.

• Sara (9/5): A big, clean house in the middle of Plaka excitement. - If you want to be in all the action in Plaka, this is a great spot. We sat on our balcony and watched all the tourists walking down our street...the oldest street in Athens. Very fun. Unfortunately, it was Saturday night and the restaurant next door had loud live music until 1 am! However, the apartment was clean and they thought of everything we might need. With two college students with us, this was a fun location.
• Sabrina (7/5): Great location - The location was great. The house was comfortable and unique. You get a discount when you dine at the restaurant next door. Overall we had a good stay. It’s right next to a restaurant that has live music in the evenings. You can hear everything so you’ll need earplugs. The rooms on the first floor facing the street get the most noise.

• Larry (8/5): all important sites to visit are within short walking distance including shopping eating locations - family room/dining room was comfortable. Location to all the important sites assoicated with acropolis are within walking distance. Use of taxi's is limited as the streets are narrow and full of tourists the stairway was difficult to use and is especially a challenge for those who are elderly or have balance issues. It is always appreciated when the location has coffee ingredients ( filters, coffee). Bathrooms with hooks are very important for clothes and towells
• Jeffd73 (10/5): Amazing place to stay in the center of Athens - Athenian House is a great place to stay in Athens. Location is unbelievable. Walk to Acropolis, Monastiraki, Syntagma, Forum. You are right in the middle of everything. Restaurants and cafes within steps. Place is compact, expected in the city center, but perfect for our group of 9. Not handicap friendly though as all bedrooms are up stairs. Very clean and well maintained. Owner was responsive and helpful. Everything as advertised. Front facing bedrooms can be a little noisy in the evening.

Our cruise got in early, and the host went above and beyond to accommodate an early check-in. The check-in process was seamless and easy, and the host and staff were extremely friendly. Her recommendation to the restaurant next door for breakfast which was wonderful. The location was superb, so close to everything including the Acropolis which was a nice easy walk.
• Janine (8/5): Location can't be beat! - The location was fabulous! Also, it was great that our whole family could fit in one house. It was a great place to celebrate the last few days of our trip to Greece. Every door in the house is extremely squeaky. It would be advised for the owners to add some lubricant to the door hinges so that light sleepers aren't being awakened by the squeaks.

We had no problem with it but if you retire early, bring some ear plugs for the customarily late dinner crowd from the abundant lovely restaurants nearby. Our host was helpful and prompt. Am assuming if it was a friday or weekend, definitely the outside can be busy and loud because of the nearby restos.

• Melinda (9/5): Great place for bigger groups and for enjoying Athens - The location is great for sure. Walk anywhere to enjoy Athens with cafes, restaurants and shopping close by. Good facilities with 2 full baths and a half-bath to go with the 3 bed-rooms in the 2nd floor and an attic room accessible through 1 bedroom. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor so it’s not convenient for elderly and maybe young kids. Although one can leave bags in the living room, it will be hard to bring up heavy luggages.
• Marjorie (10/5): Perfect home in the Plaka - This home is perfectly situated in the Plaka. We walked to the shops and the restaurants and to the tour of the Acropolis. The home is comfortable and well appointed. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to perfect place to stay in the best location in Athens.
• Jennifer (10/5): A wonderful home we can’t wait to return to! - The home was lovely, immaculate, and wonderfully located! The host was amazing to work with and left us a welcome bottle of wine! We were sad to only stay two nights - we will definitely be back to stay in this beautiful home. The street-side bedrooms were loud with all the fun on the street, but we fully expected that and realized that was the trade off fb or the wonderful location!

• Joanne (10/5): Beautiful Villa in gorgeous Plaka! - The Villa was in an amazing location - so convenient to everything. It was quite spacious and the bathrooms were very modern. The 3rd toilet was great for a large group. The host Aspa was lovely and helpful. She recommended the restaurant across the road which turned out to be great - very friendly staff, casual vibe and food was good value for money. The front bedrooms were noisy at night because of the restaurants below but earplugs did the trick. The Villa is over 3 levels and the stairs are quite steep. Fine for us but some may find them difficult. The stairs to the attic started inside one of the bedrooms which was a bit inconvenient.

It was also surrounded by cafes, bars and bistros. (But beware, in the two bedrooms facing the street you can hear loud music and revelry until the wee hours every night. Earplugs essential!) Kitchen and laundry facilities great for families. Host responsive and helpful. Host needs to supply more dishwasher/washing machine tablets and garbage bags for longer stays (only had 2 for 5 nights) Also, the narrow one way street makes taxi drop offs difficult, with locals objecting to blocking the street traffic.

• Jonathan (10/5): Wonderful place wonderful hosts wonderful stay - We loved everything about the Villa, it is in a prime location smack in the center of Athens five minutes from the acropolis, and is very well equipped. The villa is very clean, very modern, and renovated with taste. The owners were extremely forthcoming and helpful with all questions. Great value for money, highly recommend it! The street that the villa is located on is quite a busy tourist spot, with many restaurants on it which is a bonus, but at night it can be a bit loud. The windows are very well insulated so that the noise in the Villa is not very loud, but you certainly realize that you are in the middle of the tourist zone.
