Guest Reviews

- Shyanne (5/5): - Close to Queenstown, the area of Frankton has gone through a lot of development so there are plenty of shops within walking distance, lovely view of the mountains. The bathroom was a bit under repair, the shower was loose from the wall, dust in the ventilation fan and on the fire sprinklers, and there was damage to the bathroom door.

- Rajiv (4/5): Dated basic place that isn't worth it. - We needed a place near the airport to pick up a car the next day for our road trip through New Zealand and this was close enough, though was still a bit of a walk. Dated property that had these weird metal pillars going diagonally across the property and are present in the rooms in odd locations. They have tried to minimize it by covering them up but you can't escape it. Everything else about the room and property was quite average. There are a few other basic hotels around the area and we felt we could have had a better deal picking any one of those.
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Jeanette (7/5): great location plus free parking was awesome - location and parking mouldy floor in the shower

- Fiona (8/5): Would stay again, a standard hotel - Hotel was in a nice quiet part of remarkables park so didnt hear any noise, I don’t think it seemed very busy so maybe why. Lovely comfortable bed, good shower. Had a good sleep and wasn’t disturbed by any noise. No where to sit apart from on the bed, 2 chairs would be nice. Bathroom was very compact
Staff weren’t super friendly never asked if everything was ok? Weren’t rude though.
- Mona (2/5): -
- Jarod (6/5): -
- Shaun (10/5): Queenstown trip - Great base away from the central bustle of Queenstown but within easy reach of all the great attractions the area has to offer. Nothing
- Akiona (3/5): -
- Siobhan (8/5): Great comfy spot for easy stay near airport - Stayed here before we flew out of Queenstown and it was super easy to get to and move around using the buses. Very comfy and spacious room for two, even the pull out cot was comfy!
- Marin (4/5): Ho Hum -it was warm and dry - It was conveniently located for us. We discovered that one of the beds had stained sheets which certainly caused much dismay - late at night, no staff to assist.
- Choon Kim (7/5): Pretty good overall. - We booked two rooms, one was good and clean but the other one was not so clean. Overall ok.
- Harriet (6/5): - Not applicable.. I stayed to get to the airport .
- Alison (8/5): - The ladies at reception were brilliant
- Gregory (9/5): - Comfortable room at reasonable price.
Nice views of The Remarkables dusted with snow.
A few shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Close to airport. Although it appears to be quite new the hotel shows signs of wear. Marked carpets etc.
It is not close to Queenstown central. I knew this but others booking should not expect to be close to the lake etc.
- Jahnee (10/5): Great hotel close to shopping, cinema, restaurants and airport. - Nice one bedroom with living room and kitchenette. Great view of the Remarkables. Close to airport , Frankton shopping a short walk away. Good restaurants nearby within walking distance. Coffee shop on the main floor off lobby. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Parking can be an issue at times.
- SHUOLING (10/5): 環境舒適、乾淨、明亮、溫暖、安靜 - 乾淨、明亮 沒有不喜歡,一切都很棒

believe that they did not offer airport shuttle service. if you continue to not offer the service. please state that clearly
on your posting
- lyn (7/5): Adequate - Close to airport & food shopping One lift I kept getting stuck in.. I did complain
- Kelly (9/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Easy and comfortable stay. - Easy late check in. Wonderful bed and bathroom. Just a little more expensive than I would like.
- Caitlin (4/5): - The bakery next door was the highlight of the experience. Receiving a text message at 7am asking what time I would be checking out was quite frustrating. When I checked out at 9:55am, I mentioned this to the receptionist, but she laughed and didn’t take my concern seriously.

- weiliw2016 (2/5): Serious safety issue – unauthorized room entry - We stayed at this property in December 2025 and had a serious safety incident that was not handled appropriately.
Late in the evening, another guest was assigned access to our room and was able to enter using a valid key issued by the front desk — while we were inside. This was not a misunderstanding; it was a clear room assignment error.
After the unauthorized entry, we discovered that the room could not be secured from the inside. At the same time, the in-room phone was not able to reach the front desk (multiple attempts resulted in busy or disconnected tones). This meant we had no way to immediately contact staff during a security incident.
When the issue was reported in person, we were told the other guest had been incorrectly assigned to our room and that identification had not been properly verified.
This was not a single mistake, but a combination of failures:
* Incorrect room assignment allowing unauthorized entry
* Lack of proper identity verification
* Inability to secure the room from the inside
* Failure of in-room communication during an active safety concern
We escalated the matter to Wyndham corporate. The response was a generic apology and an offer of loyalty points, without any meaningful explanation or indication of corrective action.
Guest safety and basic security procedures should not fail at this level. I hope the property and the brand take this seriously and implement changes to prevent this from happening to others. This experience raises serious concerns for anyone who expects basic guest safety standards to be reliably met.

- amber (7/5): Great location and view, but complicated appliances if you plan to cook your own meals. - Great location, short drive into Queenstown (if not peak time). Good view from our room. There was a bakery/cafe in the lobby which made the whole hotel smell like fresh bread at all times which I loved. Parking was available all three days right outside hotel. Great having the washing machine and dryer in the rooms, as well as the laundry detergent provided. The bowls, glass cups, cutlery & pots were all dirty, the plates & mugs were the only clean dishes. There was no instructions for any of the appliances, which would of been okay if they were simple use with common sense, but I ended up having cold spaghetti due to how complicated the microwave was, and given it was ontop of the fridge, i had to stand on a chair to see the screen (I’m 5’6) to try figure out how to use it, as it didn’t have a start button, only a dial for mode options (which were defrost, reheat & potato plus a few others I don’t recall, but none were what I wanted) & a stop button. The stove top didn’t get very hot, on the highest setting it took 20+ mins to boil water. The dishwasher, washing machine & stove top were tricky to figure out how to use and we had to just guess & hope we had selected the right thing. Given how much Queenstown is a tourist location, I thought the appliances would’ve been easier to use or atleast be given instructions.
- KK (7/5): - für eine Nacht okay Bad renovierungsbedürtig
Bei die Nähe zum Flughafen wäre ein Flughafentransfer sehr willkommen. Andere Hotels bieten es sogar kostenlos
- Julie (9/5): Hotel is near airport, just a short bus ride to Queenstown. Staff were helpful. - Clean, reasonably priced and has everything needed for a few days stay. All good.
- Rose (7/5): Good - Great location if you want to be close to the airport, but a little far away from Queenstown if you just wanna go for a walk. Reception desk had hours that seemed a little short.
- Kevin (4/5): -
- Trevor (10/5): - Extra facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc Limited carpark capacity
- KarinLee (8/5): - Parking on site is first in. All metered parking otherwise Parking
- Sebastian (1/5): - Das Hotel hat den Übernachtungspreis ein zweites Mal eingezogen. Trotz schriftlicher Zusicherung der Rückzahlung ist diese auch nach zwei Monaten nicht geschehen.
- Lund (3/5): Very disappointed, the only good positive I had was that I was only staying for 1 night. - Nothing
Paint scuffed & chipped, bedside lights not working, bathroom smelt of curry, black mould in the bathroom, loose wires hanging down from the tv, fridge in the room didn’t work (I did check that it was plugged in & turned on) because of the positioning of the fridge power socket the fridge did not sit on it’s designed plinth properly so one of the front feet overhung the plinth so it wobbled, only 1 small carton of milk in the fridge, ect.
And the list goes ons Please see answer 1
The only signage from the road view was either op on the top floor where it meets the roof (not visible from the car when driving around looking for it) or, small signage in the entrance doors (again, not visible from the road when driving past with vehicles parked out front blocking the signage view)
- Fiona (7/5): Ok but not amazing - Parking was difficult
- warren (10/5): An excellent experience and we loved the Cafe on the Ground Floor too - All went very well and a great location out of town Traffic jams at the main Road intersection
- Leo (10/5): prima - service receptie
prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding niets
- Tammie (10/5): -
- Kara (9/5): - The location was great. Clean tidy and great staff. Nothing
- Murray (10/5): Better than expected. - Out of town location was an advantage as it made us closer to Cromwell, Arrowtown, Cardrona, Wanaka. Also supermarket and shop within walking distance. Washer and dryer in room. No on site Restaurant or food as coffee shop closed early.
- Ya-hsuan (8/5): -
- Jade (4/5): Not great. - Location was good Organisation and communication between staff wasn’t great. We had issues with our room card for the entirety of our stay, meaning one day we couldn’t get into our room at all. Eventually this was fixed but it wasn’t the service expected. We also received a parking fine after not being told the correct information for the free parking and have been expected to sort this ourselves.
- Antonio (7/5): -
- Bianca (8/5): - Standardzimmer, okay für eine Übernachtung. Bequem fussläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war etwas "abgewohnt".
- Rudy (1/5): Hotel inspector needed - Didn't like anything, overpriced formula 1 type ibis even they havd better standards Checked in online I was asked for more paperwork than applying for a visa to the USA the only part that wasn't asked my shoe size and blood type. Got at the hotel before 2200 nobody in the reception. No message confirmation that I Checked in online,no instructions what to do.
After calling the number provided I git told key is in key lock at the entry door.
The next saga was parking , even of its saying parking included its not. Soon as carpark.is full ur sent to Afghanistan to park. I got told to park in the public carpark for 11$. Somewhere across.
Room next saga, walls scratched hair in the walls in the bathroom, molde in the shower, night lamp kaput, air vents covered in dust, blood marks on the bathroom walls, carpet stained
Check my pictures to see im not lying and for the management you guys need the hotel inspector for a visit and fifa everyone and start from zero
- Grant (1/5): Disappointing - Location Was dirty and staff were rude
- Grant (3/5): Disappointing - Location Was dirty and staff were rude
- Natalie (4/5): Below average - The view from the room was nice The place was dirty, marked walls and very poor customer service. Everything was a problem at check in, a simple question such as ‘do you have parking on site?’ got an eye roll and attitude response. Did not feel welcome at all.
- kathy (4/5): This hotel needs a refresh! - Location close to airport No safety locks on doors; furnishings were dated; rug and bath not clean; fitness center did not have much equipment and what they had did not work; no water in fitness area
- Edgar (2/5): Well below standard - quick check-in and good parking I seldom post poor reviews but after contacting the property twice (18/03 & 20/03) and receiving no response I thought this was prudent.
Basically, for a regular business traveller who was asked to pay $269 (after loyalty discount as well) for an average room at best, to then have these greet him was very disappointing. Well below the standard which should be a bare minimum for that room rate. Almost extortion. Completely overcharged for the standard of service provided.
A noticeable brown stain on the sheets ... possibly the mattress protector. Regardless, this should not be visible to a guest. Gross.
The black hair on the sheets. It was not alone either. Gross.
No desk option to work from. I had to bring both bedside tables together to have somewhere for my laptop.
On arrival there was a partly drunk bottle of water on the bedside table, with no lid. Gross.
Shower gel container in the shower is empty.
Mould on the shower pan.
Mould on the icebox cover in the fridge, which has been broken off anyway.
Skirting boards have clearly never been cleaned.
Cleaning staff still active at 5pm with trolleys and bags of linen lining the hallways and lift foyer.
You probably won't see me again!

- ROBERTO (7/5): Breve soggiorno a Queenstown - Vicino aereoporto. Parcheggio privato. Silenzioso.
- 1 (9/5): -
- TucsonCurt (4/5): As Basic As It Gets - Location near the airport was about the only positive. No wakeup call possible because no one at the reception between 9pm and 8am. Really? Toilet dripped water all night, like an old water torture. No amenities. Just a room.

- Marie-France (8/5): -
- James (9/5): Well equipped rooms in large hotel, and close to shopping/eating places in Remarkables Village - Comprehensively equipped room with good facilities ; comfortable big bed; plenty of room in the wardrobe for clothes; close to bus stop to get into Queenstown CBD (parking fees in QT were massive-- don't drive in!). Good location for shopping (near New World, cafes, restaurants in Remarkables Centre); The details of the room's facilities in booking.com were inadequate; we expected no fridge or other items, since they weren't listed; pleasantly surprised when we found them. The location is miles away from Queenstown CBD, but we shouldn't grumble because the cost of accommodation in the CBD was astronomical compared with this place. Aircraft noise was noticeable, but thankfully night flights were embargoed so we slept well.
- Leslie (9/5): -
- Barry (4/5): Look for something in Queenstown with a car park and you can walk around - Had a car park The rooms were very bland, white walls ceilings carpet, marks on walls from people’s suitcases, nothing really to do in the area
- jodi (10/5): - It was quiet, clean and close to the airport Nothing
- Sheryne (9/5): Very good - Location, quieter than in Queenstown itself. The swipe cards kept locking us out which became very annoying because there wasn’t staff on site to fix it.
Calling a number and waiting was frustrating.
Other than this it was great for what we needed.
- Joanne (10/5): -
- Alexandra (6/5): - Room was comfortable and clean We arrived late due to flight delays, and reception was closed, we had received no email or message about how to check in after hours. There were keys left for late check ins but none with our name. Thankfully there was a staff member still on sight who was about to go home. He couldn't even find our booking despite us having booked 2 months earlier. We eventually were checked in but I have no idea what we would have done if he hadn't still been there. Very poor system and terrible communication. Would not stay again. Also quite expensive for what it is.
- Max Cross (2/5): Not Safe to Stay Here - Nothing, it was a complete disappointment. Very disappointing stay. The windows in the room didn’t open, and the air conditioner was extremely dirty - clearly not cleaned for years. Because of this, we both got sick and spent our vacation recovering. On top of that, we were first given the wrong room (eventually resolved by the hotel). Parking is difficult, and the elevators require key cards but work very inefficiently. Would not recommend this hotel.
- Suvi (6/5): - The room could have been cleaner.
- Alpa (8/5): -
- Laurence (4/5): Underwhelming. I cancelled my stay for when I was to return to Queenstown to fly out the following day. - Situated near Airport Sombre decor. General feeling of dowdyness throughout. The shower in the room I was in had black mould in crevasses and drain hole . Thick dust in the corner of the bedroom., missed by vacuuming.
- Janet (7/5): Comfortable but not marvellous. - Free parking. Rooms well insulated from airport noise. Cheap toilet paper.
- John (8/5): - Nearby airport and shopping Nothing
- Tracey Redgwell (9/5): GREAT STAY WITH AWESOME MOUNTAIN VIEW - THE VIEW WAS LOVELY - THE MOUNTAINS
GREAT LOCATION JUST OUTSIDE QUEENSTOWN
BONUS WAS THERE WAS A KITCHNETTE & WASHER & DRYER
VERY CLEAN
VERY COMFORTABLE FREE PARKING IS VERY LIMITED BUT PAID PARKING CLOSE BY
PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH BUT THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S NEAR QUEENSTOWN
NO ROOM SERVICE - SMALL CAFE' ONSITE BUT WAS CLOSED. OTHER FOOD OUTLET CLOSE BY, BUT A FEW WERE CLOSED
- Jane (5/5): -
- Thorsten Grams (8/5): Nice accomodation outside Queenstown - walking distance to restaurants, parking in front of hotel available No restaurant facilities in the hotel, need to walk 200m to restaurants/cafe, small room
- Shane (7/5): convenient. Comfortable - Convenient for airport. Reasonable price
- Jenny (7/5): Good budget accommodation - Good value for money. Parking close by. Clean and comfortable A problem with check in. Given a room that was already occupied. But it was sorted out fairly quickly.
- James (10/5): Very relaxing. - Very convenient location. N/A
