Guest Reviews
- Anita (9/5): It was a very relaxing stay at the apartment with a working kitchen, comfortable beds and lounge. - At first, we walked straight past the lock box (we have not used this before). A simple text message fixed that and all good from then on.
- Denise (7/5): Good - Decor is a little tired, iron burn marks on the carpet. Unit was comfortable. Location excellent
- Lesley (5/5): Met our needs - Location met our needs for medical appointment, reasonable cost. Hot water great. A 2 bedroomed unit. Great coffee shop next door. It was very dated, desperately needs a refurb and new shower. The cleaning service from the previous tenant left a lot to be desired. Food and coffee splashed up the walls and dirty crockery. But otherwise it met our needs.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - Close to the work zone light rail Can’t help it but close to road. Still great location
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect - Great location
- Naomi (7/5): Good -
- Jo (7/5): Good -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Great.
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Lovely and spacious apartment, very comfortable beds, excellent - Very spacious, great having full kitchen and 2 bathrooms with washing machine and dryer. Excellent location close to Tallebudgerra creek and beach and coffee shops. It didn’t detract from enjoying our stay but the kitchen was lacking some essential items such as tea towels, bin liners, oven trays, perhaps some gladwrap or foil, scissors, a jug for water, paper towel etc. A spare roll of toilet paper for each bathroom would have been lovely too and some new pegs, and new pillows would be fab. The apartment was mostly clean but we did find some rubbish under the couches and beside and under the beds so a little extra attention to these places is required for future guests.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - The Location
- Pollock (7/5): Good -
- Danita (8/5): Great location, needs a good clean - Location was amazing, no need to drive anywhere just walk, very spacious We killed 4 cockroaches in the bedroom and tv room, walls were thick with dust, fly screens were covered with dirt/grime, burnt iron marks in the carpet,
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - Everything fine and bath tap it’s come out, hope will fix it
- Roger (7/5): Spacious - Spacious & clean. Good location for our trip. Secure car park. Although we were a few minutes earlier than planned the keys were not in the key box therefore we had to phone the contact number. The keys did arrive several minutes later. The living area aircon was great but had no effect on the bedrooms.
- Donna-rae (8/5): Very good -
- Cocks (7/5): Good -
- Celina (5/5): Passable - Not what it looked like in the photos. Glad we only was staying for 1 night to be honest. Pool looked green, certainly wouldn't want to take a dip in it. Place was tired and worn. Iron marks in carpets, bathroom very tired, and shower drips, so had to put a cloth underneath so as to not here that all night. I'd say, ok if a lads holiday, and loads of people staying to make it cost effective. Otherwise, if you want a nice place to stay, go somewhere else. Everything really.
- Jayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerri (8/5): Very good -
- Singh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything from the cleanliness of the unit , the close proximity to the beach and the exceptional service from the Host Michael.
- Cliff (5/5): Comfortable enough for a quick couple of nights stopover. - Spacious single bedroom apartment with a very large deck. Poor level of cleanliness. Quite dated with a dirty bathroom.
- Gayle (8/5): Easy place to relax while working nearby. - Facilities were great. Plenty of space in the apartment and the pool was nice and refreshing after a days work. There are no lights in the basement parking which was a little strange.
- Maoate (8/5): Koala Cove Stay, Burleigh Heads. - The apartment was good and situated in a good part of the complex. I liked the fact that the unit was on a lower floor level, so to come in and out easily was convenient. I liked the set up inside the apartment and didn't bother us that there was no wifi, as we were out most of our time there. Despite being close to the main road, I loved the location. An easy 15 min walk across Tallebudgera Bridge to Palm Beach was great in the early evening. A short 10 min drive to Stockland Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre for essentials was also very handy. You should probably fire the cleaner! The apartment would look more presentable if it were cleaned properly. Dust was very noticeable over bedroom furniture, skiring boards, wall prints, ceiling fans, window sills and door edges.
This was the only disappointment of our accommodation.
- Jovan (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. Didn’t have breakfast
- Milton (7/5): Good - Very well located, and loved having dinner in the balcony There was a dog playing inside the pool 5 mins after my arrival at the property. Not the greatest start tbh. Not my host fault, but still very unpleasent.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - The close proximity to the beach and clubs
- Rilla (6/5): Pleasant - location great electric dodgy in apartment
- Ben (7/5): Good - Room was large, getting into apartment was easy - collecting keys from lock box. Underground parking with assigned carpark.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Sharna (5/5): I spent very little time there, it was ok but also a lot of street notice. - It was clean & staff were good The unit needs a basic reno ie paint & new more modern furniture.
It felt old & outdated
- Andrew (1/5): Rubbish - Rite next to the highway. There isn't enough space to type in.
- Sandra (5/5): Adequate - Could gave been cleaner and better kept
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Brooomy (9/5): Superb -
- Judith (9/5): Superb - Good size unit with big patio. Close to water and restaurants. Undercover parking was a bonus and secure building.nice pool. The bed was a bit hard and low. Needed a few more things in the kitchen . There was no can opener, only one steak knife and no microwave dishes. A welcome pack with tea coffee etc would have been great on arrival as we didn't have any. Extra towels and t towels needed so we didn't need to use washer/dryer.
- Nicole (2/5): Pretty ordinary - Big balcony. Pool Unclean, no wifi, loud with the traffic
- Natasha (1/5): Bad bad and even worse - The whole place was bad Everything could be better there was mold in the whole room it stunk beds where bad I should have gotten a full refund
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (7/5): Koala Cove escape - The location is excellent. Lovely coffee shop next door and a stroll to the waters edge. Ensure you bring your own staples, such as tea, coffee and milk.
- Chris (10/5): Short holiday to explore the Gold Coast - Good position, close walk to beach and Creek
- C.c.f. (3/5): STAY AWAY! - Not a lot to like. Maybe the washing machine, but any laundromat would be better. STAY AWAY!
Not a hotel. Very expensive for what it offers and how bad it looks. Everything is falling apart.
NO INTERNET available.
The walls are all damaged or moldy, dust everywhere, stains, funky smells, bad mattress, horrible shower and so on.
No coffee, tea, even the toilet paper was limited.
Close to the main road, very noisy in the apartment.
- Belinda (6/5): Served it purpose, good location. - Location & price Cleanliness of unit, it was 6/10
- Sonny (8/5): Very good -
- Georgia (8/5): Super comfortable and a great price for the location and amenities - Amazing location and very clean Would love to have access to wifi and perhaps some tea, coffee and milk available.
- Peta (7/5): Good - All fine A tea bag would have been nice after the travel
- Computers (7/5): enjoyed our stay - location was good. unit was spacious. Small shopping strip was good. Close to walking tracks & the river no tea or coffee supplied
- Diane (7/5): Enjoyed - The unit was very spacious and easy walking to bus and surf club and beautiful beach access the road The power switch was a little bit warm and needed attention
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - Bathroom needs a complete refurb and update.
- Amanda (2/5): Never again - Overpowering smell of bleach mold/spew no one should have to put up with that
- Jordie (7/5): Good -
- Lynne (1/5): Would not come back! - Nothing! Right next to a highway. Dirty condition. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.
- Amanda (4/5): Disappointing - The ensuite shower was very unclean , and the shower head wasn't working properly
- Pamela (4/5): Disappointing - The location suited our needs to attend the wedding & price for the area. Michael was very friendly & approachable. It was not cleaned properly used soap in shower & half used toilet roll, the bed ok but not very comfortable. There was no tea/coffee & milk supplied which other apartments always supplied which would have been nice after arriving late in the afternoon.
- Jenny (1/5): Overpriced for the state of apartment 1. - Clear instructions Showers full of mould, light in bedroom did not work, no shampoo, conditioner, tea, coffee provided. Towels like paper. Carpets dirty.
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Weeden (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, close to shops, close to the ⛱️ beaches, close to the walking trails.
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good -
- Kerryn (10/5): Great place - Location
- Nadine (2/5): Very poor -
- Ian (3/5): Value for money zero - The Unit was dirty. Show/bath needs a good scrub. Mould on the tiles in shower/bath was discussing. In general the whole unit a blood good clean.
Didn't receive the code for the safe until I contacted the off sight manager. Would not recommend Koala Cove to anyone. Value for money is at zero.
- Dianne (4/5): You get what you pay for but by doing just a few upgrades would make this accommodation more comfy - I was emailed a code before I arrived and had easy access to the security box and my room Noisy location
Uncomfortable bed
Very unclean especially the bathroom
- Julie (9/5): Great location, loved Burleigh -
- Julie (2/5): Noise - Walking distance to things. Would be OK if no road works. And supplies Road works for 2 nights right outside of unit from 7pm to 5am lights lit up all unit and noisy. First night had problems getting back into the garage ..
There should have been notice to us??
Not enough supplies in kitchen and no bathroom supplies. Only one toilet paper
- Aileen (8/5): Enjoyable relaxing -
- Janette (9/5): Superb - Room was spacious, recommend for short stays, clean and tidy , close to walking tracks and beach Too noisy at night due to traffic on highway, not easy to access or leave the property by car
- Margo (5/5): Very basic but got what we paid for I suppose - beds/ towels very crisp and fresh. Big apartment. Washing machine and dryer new and great. Bathrooms very old and mouldy, leaking taps, Noisy location on the highway, very basic and very bare apartment
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kyle (4/5): Loud, Dingy, and Dirty - Location was great to access local attractions The place was very out dated and dirty . The ceiling fans were full of dust and grime. Also it is right on a corner of a very busy intersection, so if you value sleep maybe skip this joint.
- Ian (8/5): Very good - good value, everything worked, walk to the beach, secure parking, simple and functional no wifi
- Yvette (8/5): Great location - Location The cost of apartment met my expectations
- Pilton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (8/5): Comfy unit near to everything walks and good coffee next door - Location Noisy
- Nicholas (7/5): Good -
- Sharlene (8/5): great property lovely unit value for money - fairly central to most things handy location
- Hillman (6/5): Pleasant - Location No internet
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Loved how spacious the unit was, facilities, and price was reasonable.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Would stay here again - Location was good, easy walk into town. Close to Gold Coast highway but not noisy. Fully self contained and value for money.
Loved it. There were no negatives
- Claire (8/5): Very good - A good size. Didn't get info about the key. Luckily a resident helped us or we would have been stuck. Also we didn't realize there was no wifi.
No milk in fridge or coffee packets etc.
- Colin (5/5): Passable -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - Close to everything we needed
- Michelle (5/5): Needs a facelift and to provide more in-house facilities - Location Dated and mouldy
- Clare (8/5): Greatn - Location was greatp
- Anthony (5/5): Passable - Very noisy Shower over the bath, bathroom was mouldy and in need of a lot of work, kitchen was ok. The whole complex needed a complete makeover and repaint
- Prudence (5/5): Terrible, don't stay - The location. Pros:Great location and spacious.
Cons:The place was old, needed a good paint, kitchen utensils etc were minimal, barely sufficent for preparing a meal. There are absolutely no basics, you need to bring everything. No welcome pack (tea, coffee, sugar, milk), one garbage bag for 4 nights, the chopping board needed throwing out. The tea towel was thin and small, and by day three, the dish cloth had disintegrated, and there wasn't a replacement. There is a microwave and no microwave dishes. I've stayed in many apartments throughout Australia and the world, and this would be close to the worst. The standard needs to be lifted. Definitely won't be recommending this unit.
- Marizaan (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good - ok roomy
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle (7/5): Good - Accommodation. Great Communication no so.. didn't have the pin to access unit key.. wasn't sent to me
.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (4/5): The apartment was spartan and un welcoming. We would not recommend this to any person - nothing The lock box was not obvious, no light and the code given was incorrect. It was not evident when arriving - we needed tenants to help us call the owner to get the correct code - not a good expereince
- Julie (8/5): Very good - The location was great, and the unit was spacious and comfortable. There was no coffee or tea supplied in the kitchen
There was also a problem with the fan/ light in the second bathroom. We advised the host who came promptly but did not speak English and did not fix the problem. My daughter had to sleep in the lounge as the light kept coming on all through the night.
Only free to air channels was disappointing.
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
