Guest Reviews
- Hayley (10/5): Perfect location, spotlessly clean, wonderful staff. - Spotlessly clean, perfect location and attentive staff. The manager could not do enough for me. He booked all my tours and bus to Kathmandu. Very friendly guy. The bed was so comfortable. The hotel is right across the road from the park so you can sit in the rooftop restaurant and watch for wildlife. Will definitely stay again.
- Rachel (10/5): - Great location and the friendliest staff. The gardens are beautiful and it feels more secluded than the other lakeside resorts. Also there was like an elephant stable behind us and it was neat watching them come and go from my window. Nothing, really nice oh and they make your breakfast when you want not a set time, that was nice.

- Łukasz (10/5): Beautiful place with extraordinary and professional service. Highly recommended! - We stayed 3 night at the place and the hotel organised for us the trip to safari, including staying one night in the jungle. The staff is very professional and nice, the jungle plan was dense and surpassed our expectations. The guides in the jungle very professional. The place is tidy with beautiful garden. Exceptional service. We enjoyed the stay very much!
- Manbir (10/5): “The hotel provided an exceptional experience, with pristine rooms, attentive staff, and outstanding - Every thing was awesome. Every thing was awesome
- Bharat (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maxime (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, and the rooms are satisfactory. Aside from one staff member who tried to scam us on everything he could, the rest were very friendly and helpful. - Staff tried to scam us on safari prices (for example, they charged $20 for the entry permit, which is fixed by the government at $14). You can find the same safaris for half the price anywhere in town.
- 10% hidden charge at the restaurant, and the bill didn't add up correctly.
- No hot water on the last day.
- Shower stream was very weak.
- Bad smell from the deodorant in the bathroom.
- Very frequent power outages.
- WiFi was down half of the time.
- Deepak (10/5): Excellent - Location and friendly staff staff are super helpful and friendly and jungle guide was super knowlegable and help full hardlly requement this place Like everything
- Maharjan (10/5): It was a grt pleasure n happy moment staying there - Ambiance warm welcome and food
- Mukunda (10/5): Good facility with hospitality - Location was on the central of sauraha dam side where we can see good scenery view of jungle, river and animals .
- Suraj (3/5): Poor -
- Shankar (7/5): Good - #staff
#location #breakfast (that was pre-included in the room charge while booking)
- Pascal (10/5): Great room in amazing location next to National Park - Amazing location right next to the river. We saw Rhinos coming to drink in the morning while sitting on the rooftop terrace for breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly (and funny) and helped us with any problems or needs we had. The room was cozy and clean and even had an aircon/heater (which is nice in January). We would definately stay there again! There were sometimes problems with the electricity, but that was the case for us everywhere in Nepal...
- Manoj (8/5): Best location, food, Jungle safaris and tours! - I like the location, food and price! Need to improve the property, rooms!
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ondřej (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and cozy place, super helpful staff and great food. They help you with everything you need to make your stay great.
- Ozzie (9/5): Loved it and will be back - Amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. I stayed in room D10 and was the best shower I've had in Nepal in 3 weeks.
LOVE the gardens and best hotel location in town. Wi-Fi was a bit weak sometimes, but that's it. Will deff stay here again next year
- Kavita (8/5): Wonderful food….don’t need to eat out - Manager Arjun was very helpful, they have competitive priced packages for Acari trips compared to other private companies. Location was great just in front of the river and the main point where people come to view sunset.
Best thing was the amazing vegetarian food we had, very tasty …..best chef Air conditioning remote was not working. Otherwise nothing to fault considering the accommodation is basic as one would expect for this location
- Harm (7/5): Nice and probably a lot better during high season. - Very cosy and nice room equipped with AC. The property had a very nice garden. Staff were very friendly and especially the manager was super kind and helped us out with everything that we needed. Also the location next to the park is very good. Bathroom could’ve been cleaner. We stayed during low season so there was some construction and high season preparations going on.
- Tamojit (7/5): Good -
- Titan (8/5): Very good -
- Magno (9/5): Best stay - I had such an amazing stay at Chitwan Tiger Camp that I even extended it. The rooms are clean and with AC, the location is perfect ( right next to the jungle and to where the tours start) and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to mister Arjung for the warm hospitality and for giving the best tips. They also have a restaurant where I ate every day during my stay with nice food always cooked fresh. There's also a nice garden in the middle of the property.
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - The stuff was very warming, super kind and really helpful. The lodge is based at the river with an fantastic view.
- Alexander (10/5): - We loved our stay at Chitwan Tiger Camp! The staff were very helpful and friendly, food was the best we had in all our Nepal travels, and the location was great- right on the river in front of the jungle entrance! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the facilities overall were wonderful! Thank you Chitwan Tiger Camp team!
- Shadow (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Our Chitwan stay had the ‘wow’ factor due to the location and staff friendliness, good food too, a fun place to stay - Great welcome, very friendly staff who helped organise very good tours of Chitwan National Park, with excellent guides. We were so close to the river and the Rhinos
- Indrasinh (8/5): Very good - Perfect location. Staff members are very friendly. No hot water first day and 2nd day we advised them for hot water issue and they fixed it but next morning at 4 am no hot water again and we had to call them again and finally they fixed the issue.
- Piet (9/5): Beautiful place and beautiful people! It s a place to be, close to the river and restaurants. - Beautiful place and beautiful people! It s a place to be, close to the river and restaurants. The people Here are so kind and helpfull, the rooms so clean and with a very good bed. Next Year, we contingent back to this place.
- Mrunalini (9/5): Superb - I would recommend it if you are traveling to Chitwan, one can stay here. The property is well maintained, rooms are clean. Managers and staff are friendly & attentive. We stayed here for two nights, and they also arranged a safari, there is a museum nearby the hotel, one can visit it. As we are vegetarian, the food was also quite tasty. As our checkout was quite early than usual check out hours, so the manager arranged the breakfast early. Nothing as such
- Hiranmoy (8/5): Very good - Location of the hotel is so nice. The manager of the hotel and other stuffs were so friendly. The premise is so green lushy. One can spent whole night in the garden yard of the hotel. The guides selected by hotel for different types of safaries were also great. The doors of the bathroom were not clean. They were spoted. It is obvious that "the tiger camp" was majestic like young tiger once upon time. Now it has grown old. So it needs rejuvenation.
- Maria (6/5): there are better places for the same price - Good location and very nice staff the beds were not comfortable at all. The food is not very tasty and they don’t give you options to choose, it’s always the same. my door couldn’t be locked from inside.
- Robert (10/5): highly recommended for chitwan - the visit to Tiger camp was an extraordinary experience. it started with an unexpected pick up from the bus stop. a very warm welcome at reception. the extremely friendly staff organised a complimentary guided river walk in the evening and organised the full day Jeep safari for the next day, which was excellent. also the tuktuk service to the bus station was again complimentary by the hotel. everything was perfectly organised. the room was excellent with clean private bathroom and air conditioning. the bed was very comfortable. the location of the hotel is perfect. close to the river and start point of the safari. the hotel was very quiet with a nice tropical garden between the street and the hotel rooms. very relaxing. breakfast was very good. all perfect
- Makalu (1/5): very honour staff beautiful place - good accommodation nothing
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great all round - Very quiet time of year, good location, nice rooms, great service and help from staff.
- John (8/5): - I spent five very pleasant nights at Chitwan Tiger Camp. The simple room was clean and comfortable with a very hot shower. The hotel is close to the river and from the rooftop dining area I was able to see wildlife on the far bank (with binoculars).
Arjun, the manager, was wonderful, very helpful and attentive to his guests’ needs. I explained I was here to just relax and go birding on my own, and wasn’t interested in a jungle walk or jeep safari (I had done that on my two previous visits). He understood and was quick to suggest things I could do on my own, like walks in the adjacent community forest, bicycling to 20,000 Lakes, etc.
Should I return to Sauraha in the future I will definitely stay at Chitwan Tiger Camp again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location...just back from the river and close to park entrance. V friendly staff. We stayed in the new upstairs deluxe rooms with ensuite. Great showers and very (!) comfortable beds!. Good airflow through the rooms with flyscreens on windows. Down side was not all powerpoints worked noisy ceiling fans and thin walls between rooms.
- Anand (6/5): Budget stay on the river front, good staff & food - Need to improve lightings inside the room & odour in the toilet area by using exhaust fan for drier washrooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic accommodation, good location - We stayed in this hotel for two nights for access to Chitwan National Park. We enjoyed the very good service and helpful staff, nice breakfast and view that overlooked the park, and great location for our safari trips. Rooms were quite basic however, as was the bathroom, and we felt pretty exposed on the ground floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Evan (10/5): - Excellent and attentive staff. Nice facilities with private bathroom. Perfect location right across from Chitwan National Park. Wonderful meals prepared fresh from local ingredients. Would highly recommend
