We stood by the bar with a big bag upon arrival and no one welcome us. It was a poor welcome experience. The roast chicken was nice but the vegetables were not great.

- Kirsty (10/5): An unexpected lovely night away in the country - Had a wonderful stay at The Jack Russell Inn. We stayed in The Labrador room and it was spotless clean and bed comfy. Bathroom was lovely too with a freestanding bath. Surroundings beautiful and peaceful. Had a delicious dinner and sat by the fire pit in the before bed. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Will definitely be returning! There was a green sensor light that didn't go off above the bed which was a little annoying but only a minor inconvenience.

- Norris (10/5): What a pub. So good, I almost don't want to let anyone know! - Incredible location, the pub is in a village on an estate and is just stunning. The pub itself is gorgeous, a mix of high-end club and local boozer (with a brilliant restaurant attached). It is so welcoming and quintessentially British, whilst also being elegant. The food in the pub from breakfast to dinner was delicious. Staff fun, warm, and felt like we had known them for ages! And the ROOM. Oh, the room. Was like being in a 5-star room in a top-end hotel. And a field full of sheep and kites ot wake up to. It was exceptional in every way, and we will be back. Nothing could be better. It was not cheap, but worth every penny. And IMO superb value for money.

Personalet var under hele vores ophold venlige og imødekommende. Der er en lokal pub, hvor man kan nyde lokal øl og gin og møde de lokale inklusiv deres hunde - Super hyggeligt. Lidt støj fra pubben om aften, men ikke noget som genrede os.

The food in the hotel is also excellent. It is importantly to note that the hotel is completely dog friendly with no restrictions on where the dog can go

- Helen (9/5): Lovely cosy pitstop! - This property is extremely dog friendly and cosy, plus you have everything on site. Lovely food, comfortable surroundings and felt like a home from home. Great when you have an epic travel schedule and need a pick me up. The pub/restaurant is quite pricey over £100 for a standard meal for two and normal accommodation prices are high, luckily I had my genius discount which helped. It’s a little hairy getting to the property, lots of very narrow blind lanes off the beaten track - but worth it once arrive.

Roaring fire in the reception, Kicking Goat cider on tap, what's not to like. Being really really picky.... the smoke detector lights were really bright. staff had added some tape. but it was still a bit annoying

- Andrew (9/5): - The area was lovely and the hotel was amazing. The room was clean and the food was great. Service was incredible, staff made the stay more personal with them remembering orders and things we liked before which made us feel extremely welcome. The check in process wasn't as well sign posted and we weren't informed before turning up. We arrived during a busy period and staff were rushed when trying to check us in. The "soundproof" room was not soundproof, with us hearing people in the bar throughout the day. We stayed in the Chihuahua room which was next to store cupboards, every time staff went into them we heard every thing really loudly, this happened throughout the day from early morning to later in the evening. It slightly distributed our relaxing stay
