Guest Reviews
- Donna (10/5): Absolute delight - Rooms were very comfortable, stylishly decorated and very well appointed. Good choice of breakfast options which were all delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will be very happy to return. Nothing not to like.
- Talia (9/5): Lovely comfy boutique pub hotel - Lovely spacious room with large comfortable bed. Great shower. Love the decor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast included Radiator was on in bedroom and we couldn’t turn it off however a member of staff came quickly and fixed it for us. Sadly the river is not good and you cannot go in which is nothing to do with the hotel!
- Roger (9/5): Walking the Thames path so a great location, had a very enjoyable stay! - Staff were nice and attentive, both dinner and breakfast were excellent, well equipped room, interiors and comfort outstanding. Great atmosphere in pub….enjoyed our stay! Artificial plants in room not good!
- Marie (9/5): Nice place 👌👍😉 - Confortable, propre, jolie déco, bon rapport qualité prix
Petit déjeuner bon et généreux
Cadre très agréable

- Thomas (10/5): - We spent a few wonderful days at The Trout at Tadpole Bridge. A perfect stay to explore the area between the Cotswolds and Oxford. So many things to do and see. The room was perfect (because of a minor issue with the bathroom in the booked room we switched to another room right over the backyard, thanks again to the very nice and always helpful manager) and spacious, the bed comfy and the food - breakfast and dinner - delicious. -
- Sixtine (10/5): -
- Toni&Ino (10/5): A great accomodation - good food - friendly stuff - Breakfast is delicious and many options are available.
- Neslihan (10/5): - Both the rooms and the pub were lovely with lots of parking and an amazing breakfast
- Rachel (10/5): Highly recommend - Great location, pretty surroundings, rooms were very comfortable and clean with lots of small thought out touches.
Food was wonderful Nothing
- Fiona (9/5): - Room was a luxurious indulgence. Super king sized bed, high quality bedding.
The staff were very busy as we arrived on bank holiday, but they were polite and helpful. Breakfast service was slow - fortunately we weren't in a huge hurry to get away. Fruit platter was fairly average but smashed avo on sourdough with poached eggs was fabulous.
Overall a great stay.

- Andrew (9/5): Nice room, really good food but that is to be expected at Premium pricing. Some Staff stressed out & borderline rud - A gorgeous, large room with excellent dining. A Staffing Issue on B/H Sunday, caused extra stress to the Staff. Which did reflect on their Customer Service. Team Leaders/managers worked hard in damage limitation but, the damage was done. Oh, & there was a drainage issue in the Shower/Bathroom.
- Jo Brookers (10/5): - The room was a perfect retreat, outside the bar in a courtyard. We thought we might be kept awake with drinkers outside but it was very quiet. Dinner was great, not cheap but very good. Staff were friendly and attentive. What a place to stay - we had our early morning coffee on the river bank watching the sunrise. An unforgettable Thames experience. The only note was that the breakfasts didn’t hit the quality of the dinner food. Nothing wrong per se, but the service and food just felt a little lacklustre in comparison to dinner service. But I'm nitpicking.
- Sophie (10/5): Perfect weekend stay. - Staff were so helpful and friendly. Super accommodating. The hotel is stunning and our stay was made perfect.
- Michael (7/5): Nice room, comfortable and clean. - Location and setting Long wait for dinner.
Shoved in corner for breakfast while tables and chairs being moved out.

- Jemma (9/5): - The room very much exceeded our expectations.
Facilities and bathroom were spotlessly clean
Staff were very friendly and welcoming The food in the restaurant was not up to the same standards as the room, clearly a busy day meant evening service was missing a lot of menu options

- Palma D'Onofrio (9/5): Ottima scelta - La camera spaziosa e pulita, la gentilezza dello staff, la colazione e la cena. L'ambiente familiare, accogliente e professionale. L'accoglienza per i cani, Top! La ghiaia tra il parcheggio e l'ingresso del pub rende difficile trascinare il trolley che va portato a mano.
- Peter (10/5): Beautiful rooms and food amazing - If was fantasic the room was beautiful and perfectly fitted out
The dinner was fabulous
And the included breakfast and service was exception

- Lydia (10/5): Excellent! - The location was beautiful, also right next to the river Thames. The room we stayed in was lovely, and just as expected. It had lots of space and the facilities were great, extremely clean and tidy. Very peaceful and comfortable stay.
We had tea in the restaurant of the pub, which was delicious and the fact breakfast was included within our stay was amazing.
The lady who greeted us as we arrived was very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. I would definetly recommend staying here to my friends and family.
- Hannah (10/5): Beautiful room and excellent food, happy we decided to treat ourselves! - We spent one night at the Trout while walking the Thames Path and really enjoyed our stay! Though it's on the pricier end, we found it to be worth the money. We really appreciated the complimentary drink at the bar and smoothie at breakfast. The food at breakfast (included in the room rate) was excellent, with a wide menu to choose from. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and were really impressed with the food - it is rare to find somewhere that puts that much thought into a veggie burger! The suite was ultra spacious, quiet and clean and every detail had been thought of. We had a wonderful night's sleep in the king size bed which was much appreciated following two long days of walking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended! Nothing
